It was my first time trying Venezualian food. The menu was simple and understandable. I forget the name but it was similar to a rice bowl with pork. So good! More than I could eat. The staff was lovely and appreciative. The drink selection was varied and good. ( I'm not a Coke or Pepsi drinker - boring! ) We were able to enjoy our food at their outdoor seats which was perfect. I recommend.
Fast and friendly service in a vibrant food hall setting adjacent to Aeronaut brewery. Grab a craft brew and walk to the right of the exit to enter the hall. The Pabellon Veggie Arepa (black beans, plaintains, and mozzarella) was stellar. A perfect combo of flavors and texture. The side of hot sauce was meh (tasted like a basic vinegar based mass produced variety). The Tequenos were solid.
Located inside the Aeronaut complex food hub, it was definitely a welcome sight to see since we were starving. Having been fans of Venezuelan arepas from another go-to spot of ours in west Roxbury, we said we have to try these. I think that their setup is quick to go style, they are premade meats on the heater and they grab arepa and load it in like at chipotle. It was ready in literally 3 seconds. The meat was hot, the spicy sauce was more Barbeque-ish. I didn't mind it at all but the pocket arepa it went in was a bit stiff and not warm and fresh. The cheese was mostly cheddar and loaded st the bottom of the arepa unmelted. So unless you used a utensil to mix the arepa up from bottom up, you'll get a mouthful of room temp cheese whole and unmelted. Could be nice for some but not my style. The servers were fast and very nice, so i appreciated that a lot! Hope they keep doing well and perhaps we just went later at night 8:30pm so it wasn't the best freshness perhaps? Not sure.
Carolina is a lovely person and deserves the world. The service was phenomenal. She was able to make adjustments to my arepa order because of dietary restrictions. The arepas were DELICIOUS!!! We will be back. Nothing but good things to say.
This is a little place nestled inside the Aeronaut brewery space, and it's best visited in warmer weather to eat outside at a picnic table. My husband and I were in the area visiting the nearby Greek festival, which had lines so long we decided to move on, and ended up here. He got a bowl and I got a few arepas... the pork and cheese one was beyond delicious, I'm talking mouth watering. As I'm typing this, I'm thinking about it and I want another one. I also got a vegan one with beans and pico, which tasted good but not as good as pork and cheese (go figure). The prices were fair and service was fine. I'd definitely go back if we're in Union and hungry.
This is a review of the MIT location. I've been meaning to try them out for a while and they seem to be pretty popular. Service was friendly and attentive enough. I ordered the arepa pabellón and the tequeños. The arepa was delicious and had a good amount of fillings, but I was surprised by the size given the price. The tequeños were also priced steeply, its dough and cheese. The basil mayo was outstanding. I get that the prices are probably a reflection of the customers, MIT students, but I really didn't think the value was there. Very tasty food, price point was not there for me.
Carolicious is one of the food stalls located inside Aeronaut's Food Hub! We were looking for a quick bite and stumbled upon Carolicious the other day, decided why not try their arepas. They offer Venezuelan arepas (pork, chicken, beef, veggie, & vegan options), bowls, & tequeños. We opted for the pelua arepa, which is spicy beef with cheese. Our arepa was ready within seconds! Super fast! Thoughts: The arepa itself was a bit hard to eat... hard like cardboard and was essentially flavorless. The spicy beef was okay, wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce. The cheese also was not melted and was stuck to the bottom of the arepa. I felt spoiled with my usual Venezuelan spot that makes everything from scratch and is always piping hot + fresh, though takes longer. Plus, for the price of each arepa, I didn't think it was worth it at all. I was still incredibly hungry afterwards but it was nice to try. The ladies working there were kind and helpful!
I ordered the chicken bowl with no beans. It came out very quickly and was nice and warm! I think the bowl could have been even better if there was a crunchy element to it
Dining method: Counter-serve (inside of Aeronaut brewery) Item(s) ordered: Pabelon Vegan arepa Speed: Was prepped immediately and was done within 2 minutes Value: at about $10 (including tip) for this arepa, I'd say the price was worth the product The Review: YES, is all I can say. With vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options galore (including desserts), Carolicious is awesome. Especially in a brewery, where wheat is the name of the game, I didn't feel left out for a second at Carolicious Aeronaut. The arepa and all its fixings were divine. I will absolutely be back for more.
I love cheese tequeños!!!! Best snack ever and so worth. The only thing I get from here. The sauce it comes with is also sooo good.
Seriously insanely good arepas. Probably the most reasonable prices I've seen in the area as well. Very filling and tasty. The bowls have plantains at the bottom which I was concerned about, but were delicious. The pico was very flavorful and fresh. Generous servings of meat (which was very flavorful). Also, the restaurant is connected to a beautiful brewery and chocolate maker, so you can grab a beer with your meal. The lady who prepared our food was also very sweet. This would be on my must try list for any Boston trip in the future, wish I lived by something like this!
Chicken Bowl ... delicious and fresh . Wonderful service. Pleasant staff. Friendly and clean environment
The food came out so quick! The bowls are absolutely delicious. Just like Chipotle but a little bit better in almost every way. The rice seemed a little undercooked but otherwise was fantastic. I got the pork bowl and my friend is sporting the chicken pico and beef arepa

First time to try Venezuelan food. Bowl Pabellon Beef: Pabellon is said to be Venezuela's national dish. Product from this stall was healthy, but not that authentic, or delicious for my Chinese appetite. As the core part, beef was absolutely fabulous, shredded and deep stewed to soft and tender, more on the savory and fragrant side, but also with a zing of tomato's sourness and paprika's spice, somehow similar to Mexican style. However, the black beans and banana were a bit overcooked, together with the salad dressing, mixed with the rice, making it overwhelmingly mushy, which was a disaster for me who love dry rice. I have checked through Google and ChatGPT that all ingredients should be placed separately, and obviously, pico de gallo should not be in there. By the way the food stall is located in a pub or something, where all people were crazily yelling. It is insanely chaotic so you'd better escape asap to protect your heart. read more
They were situated inside Aeronaut Brewery and I needed a substantive snack. I saw they had a vegan bowl on the menu (no prices listed--turns out it was $13 after tax), so I ordered that. The lady made it instantly. It came with rice, black beans, plantains, and a tomato and onion salsa. Quite tasty, maybe a bit salty, needing something a bit more to lift it up, but fairly tasty and satiating. Not a bad option given the circumstances but nothing I'd seek out. read more

Spicy beef bowl - the beef was tender and flavorful. I like the green sauce and the hot sauce that you can add to the side. The tomatoes added a nice freshness to the bowl. There were a lot of beans so the rice absorbed a lot of the bean juices. Overall, a great lunch option! read more

We came here after climbing at the Bouldering Project. You order and pay at the counter and they'll give you a number to bring your food. ($$) The beef and pork arepas are awesome. (5/5) The dough is sweet and dry and toasty. The beef and pork are tender and pairs with the mozz and black beans. I wish I had more of the hot sauce and green sauce. A great combination of sweet and spicy. lt's the perfect post-workout/lunch meal if you're trying to get your protein intake and still want your carbs! We also ordered the cheesy bread (not pictured). It comes with more of the avocado-herb based sauce. When I'm in the neighborhood, I'll be back! The space is OK, (4/5) it was pretty dark for a bright Saturday afternoon. But I'm sure the place is awesome in the evening. You can pick up board games or cards and a beer from Aeronaut. read more
Seriously insanely good arepas. Very friendly service. Really cool space - both indoor and outdoor. We decided to sit outside and we were given a number and it was delivered to us outside. Two arepas came to around 20 dollars. Both came with a delicious spicy salsa like sauce. I looove Venezuelan food and this place hits every mark. Definitely worth a visit! read more
BEST VENEZUELA FOOD IVE EVER HAD!!! Granted it's the first time I've had Venezuelan Food ... Got the pork bowl and chicken arepa!! Flavors were amazing on both and the service was killer!!! Killed our tastebuds with deliciousness! Arepa was served HOT, and a nice crispy shell!! Def recommend the bowl, super value and super yummy! @hungryhungryhumans_ read more
An amazing hidden gem inside Aeronaut brewing company! Their entire menu is gluten free. The arepas are stuffed to the brim and so tasty. I tried the pork pabellon bowl ($10) which came with rice, beans, plantains, cheese, pork, pico de gallo, basil sauce, and hot sauce on the side. The portion was big and everything tasted really good. I also got to try the best buddies arepa ($6) which comes with plantains and cheese. The cheese in the bowl didn't melt but the cheese in the arepas melted from the heat. The stringy melted cheese paired super well with the crisp outer arepa layer! Their menu has arepas ($6-$10 each) and bowls ($10-$12) to choose from. read more

We visited the location on the MIT campus (it's on the second floor of the student center and is only open on weekdays). Wow! So many delicious options that are all gluten free (with one exception). The arepas were fantastic! Order two if you're hungry! They take a little longer than the bowls so if you're in a hurry opt for the bowls instead. One in our family has celiac and didn't have any issues. We'll definitely go back! read more
I LOVE that Carolicious has made a place for itself within Aeronaut Brewery - the food here goes absolutely perfectly with the beers at Aeronaut, and it's nice that it is something a bit different from what most breweries offer in terms of food partnerships. I first experienced Carolicious when I was planning a group event at Aeronaut and wanted to learn more about their catering options. The folks at Carolicious were super friendly over email and helped us understand the different food options they had for catering. We ordered two platters of pastelitos (one chicken, one veggie), and they were fantastic! I was impressed by how hot and fresh everything was for a catering order, and each platter came with some dipping sauce as well. It was overall a pretty affordable way for us to provide snacks for our group, and the group members enjoyed having something a little bit different from pizza or wings to go alongside their beer for the event. I can't wait to try more of Carolicious's offerings (they have so many tasty-looking arepas options too!). It's really nice knowing that, whenever you go to Aeronaut, this place will be there, just waiting to fill your belly with amazing Venezuelan food. read more

Hidden gem. Arepas and beer for a rainy day. I loved all of their options but went with reina pepiada and best buddies. Pepiada: tons of chicken on a crunchy arepa, really tasteful. Best buddies: had tons of cheese and sweet plantain... perfect combination with the basil sauce in a crunchy arepa. Service was quick and stuff was very energetic. We def will be coming back and bringing anyone who visit us out of state. read more
