I went to Muqueca around 5:30ish and it was still fairly empty, so we got seated right away. We must have made it just in time, because by 6 the restaurant was packed! The place has a cozy, homey vibe perfect for easing into a slow evening over good food and strong drinks. We started with the fried yuca, and it was perfect. Fried and crunchy without being overcooked or overly starchy. It had just the right texture and flavor to keep you reaching for one more piece. To drink, I had a passion fruit caipirinha, which was sweet, refreshing, and strong. One was all I needed. I was definitely feeling happy after that. For our mains, we shared the Muqueca and the Feijoada. Both were great, but if I had to choose, the Feijoada stole the show. The mix of dried meat, pork, sausage, and bacon simmered in the bean stew was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. It paired perfectly with the side of white rice and sweet plantains. The Muqueca was also delicious. We had the one with fish and shrimp, and while both were good, we found ourselves leaning more toward the shrimp. Next time, I might try the shrimp and mussels version or just shrimp instead. Service was wonderful, our server was warm and friendly throughout. The only tiny miss was that we asked for water and it never came, but honestly, that's a minor detail in an otherwise perfect meal. All in all, I highly recommend Muqueca. It's authentic Brazilian flavors, generous portions, and great vibes will keep you wanting more. I can't wait to come back and work my way through more of the menu!

Service is great, super enthusiastic and friendly, happy to give reccs! Fried calamari - a bit heavier on the frying Bean soup - surprisingly very yummy and balanced flavor that isn't super bean-y Shrimp and fish muqueca - the broth is so nice and light and seafood-y, shrimp was super tender! Inside is crowded and always bustling! Had to wait a bit but the food was worth it

Really good Brazilian food in Inman square. Went on a Friday after work without a reservation and we were sat quickly. This place can get busy though so we were happy to have found the place not too busy. The only qualm I have is they don't have menus and you have to scan a QR code. My boyfriend was having trouble with the QR code and wasn't able to see the menu. The interior is very friendly and welcoming. The service was slow at first but then picked up! They have a pitcher sangria option which I definitely recommend and for $28! Got their yuca and Portuguese sausage as a starter which was so delicious. When we got our food we noticed it was probably best to share one plate but we love leftovers! I got their Feijoada which came with rice and plantains on the side. The dish was beans, sausage, and dried meat. Very flavorful! My boyfriend got the fish, shrimp, and mussels muqueca with coconut milk and a side of rice. Will definitely be coming back but keeping in mind that it is great for sharing plates. Recommend for anyone who wants good Brazilian food.

Went with a friend and the service was so good. We shared the muqueca with shrimp, fish, and mussels. The pineapple caipirinha is better than the passion fruit if you are looking for the sweetness, but I'm pretty sure they use vodka instead of cachaça for both. I definitely recommend and think a muqueca is good for 2 people.

I've been coming to Muquecas for over a decade now. They never disappoint. I mostly order the fish and shrimp Muqueca, it's absolutely amazing! Isa, always goes above and beyond with the Costumer service each visit. If you like the authentic brazilian seafood, I highly recommend this place.

Nut allergy friendly: Everything we ordered was safe for me! We stopped in at around 8PM on a Sunday and were luckily seated immediately with a party of 5. Time to Appetizer: ~10 Minutes Time to Entree: ~25 Minutes We weren't too hungry, and ordered: -Brazilian Patties (Cod) (5/5): Perfect sharable appetizer that comes with a sauce with a really nice zesty kick. Like upgraded fish sticks. -Feijoada (4.5/5): The fried plantain was the best part of this dish. Heck, order a few of those separately! Otherwise, this was really enjoyed but quite heavy on beans. It's perfectly sharable in that respect. -Mariscada (5/5): Loved the variety of seafood and it went excellently with rice. It really is a must try. -Kids Menu Chicken Stroganoff (3.5/5): One of my party really wanted it, and the portions are quite generous (she couldn't finish it). I wouldn't come for it but it's not bad! Desserts: -Flan (5/5): Rich, creamy, not too sweet. Definitely worth a try. -Top Hat Banana (3/5): It was unique, but I can't say I'm a fan of cheese with ice cream. Plantain with ice cream, though, fantastic. Overall, a fantastic experience with unique cuisine and excellent service. Would come back again!

Considering I live in the area, I really had no excuse for waiting so long to check this place out! There's a bunch of Portuguese on Cambridge Street, but this spot is actually Brazilian. Despite coming on a Sunday night, it was actually pretty busy, so that's always a good sign! The decor was fairly nice, without being overly upscale. To start, we shared the Brazilian Patties. They came in either cod or chicken, so we tried both, and I preferred the cod. For the main course, we split the Moqueca, which was delicious! If you're into fish, this is the way to go. Definitely get the option with the most seafood in it. My only complaint was that the dish was a bit salty for my liking, but I absolutely loved the unique flavor. If you need to tone down the salty taste, go for one of their juices. Highly recommend if you're looking to try something different!

This has to be one of the CUTEST, family-owned restaurants I've visited yet. When you walk in, you feel like family. The decors, the atmosphere, the people - ALL LOVELY! Because I was moving out of Boston, the owners offered me a free entree and wished me luck in my future endeavors. This was such a memorable and heartwarming experience - I'll never forget it. I ordered the seafood mariscada, which came with plantain moqueca. The dish was STACKED with a well-cooked variety of seafood, and its flavor profile was outstanding. The coconut base lent it a creamy texture that complemented the seafood perfectly. I found myself unable to resist its deliciousness! The moqueca added a refreshing, citrusy kick akin to salsa, allowing me to savor a bit of everything in one dish. We also ordered the Feijoada Completa, which was a bit on the saltier side. The meat was very tender and flavorful. If you prefer something saltier, this would be the perfect dish for you! It came with fried plantains, which was SO SO SO yummy! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VISITING! This has become one of my favorite places in Cambridge, and it was worth EVERY penny!

We were here 9 years ago. And they made the best sweet lemonade, so tasty and unique. The mussel was very fresh, it goes very well with the house made hot sauce.

I still remember when this place was located on the other side of the street, on a corner and could seat maybe 6 people. I've grown up on this food and it is my number 1 suggestion when people ask me for Brazilian food recommendations in the area. It is not what comes to mind when the average non-Brazilian thinks of Brazilian food, but it's a beautiful representation of the diversity of Brazilian cuisine. You can't go wrong with the fish muqueca. The fried fish is delicious and honestly every dish I've tried is outstanding. The muqueca is the signature dish though and it's what you should get! Get the manja de tapioca for dessert. There's a reason this place has withstood the test of time, it's delicious, lovingly prepared and authentic,

This is a wonderful place for dinner in the area! I highly recommend the lasagna de banana, at least to share. It's cheesy and sweet, crunchy and cheesy, and it's almost like a dessert. The service is relatively attentive, and I enjoy the outdoor space they they open up when it's warmer and dry outside.

After a quick Yelp search, you find yourself looking at Neptune Oyster reviews. We ended up going from Fenway Park to Neptune Oyster by taking the train. When we arrived, we saw there was a substantial line. We ended up waiting about 1 hour and 20 minutes. They make you stand in line outside the restaurant and have signs that say, "Please don't block the other business entrances" and "Please stand behind this sign." Meanwhile, I'm thinking this is 2026 and Yelp must have some sort of online or phone number check-in system where they could text you once your table is ready. But I think, selfishly enough, the restaurant does this so other people walking by notice the line, and it acts as good advertisement for them. Anyhow, we decided to try the lobster roll with fries, six oysters, the bluefin tuna crudo, and their "clam chowder." Yes, I put "clam chowder" in quotes because it was more of a soup than a traditional chowder. I could have gotten past the texture, but it had no flavor and, unfortunately, we had to send it back, which I don't think I've ever done at a restaurant before. The oysters and tuna were pretty good, and I enjoyed them. The lobster roll was also decent, but nothing that I would rave about. Maybe that's my fault because, again, they are not a lobster roll restaurant. It says it right in their name that they're an oyster restaurant, so partially my fault. I was guided by Yelp when I searched for lobster rolls and thought maybe they were known for them due to all the pictures posted on their Yelp page. Overall, I think it's a little overrated and not worth the wait and the $130 bill.

The combination of it being limited seating (it holds less than 20 people) and being a popular spot makes it quite hard to get in without a long wait, so I would recommend right when it opens. Food wise, we got the Squid Ink Pasta and Calamari. The calamari was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside, which I find a lot of restaurants don't do a great job of doing.
