The food was very good, the service was a little slow but all in all good. The place has different vibe with the whole meat comes to table at random times. The crab cake appetizer was very good. Dessert was tasty. Will try again, now that I know how it works.

Sooo sooo good! I took my father here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. How can you go wrong with all you could eat steak. I will say this location is much better than the Providence location. We never had to wait for anything.

Last time we were in Boston, we decided to go to Fogo de Chao for their all day Bar Fogo. I think it's a great deal....we get to try many different little things for as little as $6 each. There were three of us and we got many items to share....namely the Brazilian Empanadas (Flaky pastry, seasoned Picanha, onions, chimichurri aioli), the Bone (large Beef Rib with chimichurri sauce), the Lamb lollipops, the Filet mignon board and the Saucy Legs (Fire-roasted chicken, hot Brazilian BBQ, Pão de Queijo crispies, dedo de moça peppers). All of them were excellent. My favorite was the Bone and the Empanadas. Service was professional and attentive. This is a great option versus the full rodizio which is way more expensive per person ($68 dinner or $50 for lunch).

Good selection of items on buffet which are overall tasty but there are mostly fillers that you should not fill up on but to just help supplement the main entree which is all the different cuts of meat they'll bring to table side and carve for you. Fruits to end the meal was good - sweet blood oranges and pineapples. The selection of meat was decent though some cuts weren't as good - chewy, dry, or just overall hard that I didn't even bother with once it was on my plate. I liked the ribs, sirloin, and chicken the best. A special we had was the grilled cheese with hot honey. This was delicious! Too bad they ran out after we had one serving.

Had a lovely dinner here. This is a Brazilian restaurant that offers an all you can eat experience. To start, you get fresh pao de queijo. Then they bring around unlimited meats and give you a slice to try. Your table also has a flip card with a yes and no side to let the staff know when you're ready for more. It ranges from steak to chicken to lamb, all cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. They ask you which style cut you want, so I usually ask for medium or medium rare and it never disappoints. There is also a bar to get items such as vegetables, fruits, and other side dishes. The Brazilian potato salad is my favorite. Plus they brought around a plate with mash potatoes, plantains, and fried yucca which was cool. We also each got a glass of red wine which paired nicely with the meats. Definitely come to this place hungry and pace yourself because it's easy to get full fast. It's a classy space as well right in Boston, so it's perfect for date nights or special occasions.

Great buffet and the servers are very active bringing a variety of beef, chicken, lamb, and pork to the tables. I am a big fan of this location and a regular. My only complaint would be using the holiday gift cards here. They have a bar code on them, but the waiter or waitress have to manually enter the numbers. This takes time and seems a bit weird since the numbers are under a bar code.

The restaurant is a bit hidden if you're coming from the corner entrance, but there's a side entrance that takes you directly to the front desk. The meats were decent, some could have used more seasoning, and the selection was a bit limited compared. The desserts were underwhelming; mostly standard options like New York cheesecake, which felt out of place. I would have preferred more traditional Brazilian sweets. They had a grilled pineapple with cinnamon was simple but really good. Great place for a big group!

Walked by and tried their Picanha burger I heard about, which comes with polenta fries for only $10! A great deal for a fresh burger with a THICK patty. John was our server at the bar and was fantastic, made sure our waters were filled. Would recommend!

Is this place all you can eat? Do they offer keto friendly food?

DEFINITELY all you can eat! We always leave stuffed! And make sure to have some of the little cheese rolls, too-- they're amazing! And there's a huge salad bar and it's mostly meat on the skewers, so I'd say keto-friendly for sure as well. Enjoy!

It's usually a range: some people dressed up for a "special meal" and other in jeans. I wouldn't recommend going in anything less casual, though-- no beach wear or super casual. You don't need to worry too much, but I always think it's fun to… Read more

After a quick Yelp search, you find yourself looking at Neptune Oyster reviews. We ended up going from Fenway Park to Neptune Oyster by taking the train. When we arrived, we saw there was a substantial line. We ended up waiting about 1 hour and 20 minutes. They make you stand in line outside the restaurant and have signs that say, "Please don't block the other business entrances" and "Please stand behind this sign." Meanwhile, I'm thinking this is 2026 and Yelp must have some sort of online or phone number check-in system where they could text you once your table is ready. But I think, selfishly enough, the restaurant does this so other people walking by notice the line, and it acts as good advertisement for them. Anyhow, we decided to try the lobster roll with fries, six oysters, the bluefin tuna crudo, and their "clam chowder." Yes, I put "clam chowder" in quotes because it was more of a soup than a traditional chowder. I could have gotten past the texture, but it had no flavor and, unfortunately, we had to send it back, which I don't think I've ever done at a restaurant before. The oysters and tuna were pretty good, and I enjoyed them. The lobster roll was also decent, but nothing that I would rave about. Maybe that's my fault because, again, they are not a lobster roll restaurant. It says it right in their name that they're an oyster restaurant, so partially my fault. I was guided by Yelp when I searched for lobster rolls and thought maybe they were known for them due to all the pictures posted on their Yelp page. Overall, I think it's a little overrated and not worth the wait and the $130 bill.

The combination of it being limited seating (it holds less than 20 people) and being a popular spot makes it quite hard to get in without a long wait, so I would recommend right when it opens. Food wise, we got the Squid Ink Pasta and Calamari. The calamari was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside, which I find a lot of restaurants don't do a great job of doing. The asparagus was firm but not stringy and wasn't the star of the show, but paired well with the burrata, tangy cured tomato, and spread. For drinks we had the mango margarita and a first light. The margarita was a bit strong for my taste but better as the ice melted. First light was yummy. Nothing memorable for the price range. After one visit, it became very clear why this place has remained a waterfront institution since 1925. Don't let the long line scare you away -- that line is part of the proof that you are in the right place. James Hook has a classic no-frills New England seafood atmosphere focused on one thing above all else: exceptionally fresh lobster. There's plenty of outdoor seating available, and on a beautiful afternoon with temperatures in the low 80s, sitting outside under the umbrellas overlooking the city made for a perfect lunch setting. We split a large lobster roll since we had eaten a big breakfast earlier in the day, and it was more than enough for two people looking for a lighter meal. The lobster itself was incredibly fresh, sweet, tender, and generously portioned on a perfectly toasted split-top roll with drawn butter served on the side. Simple ingredients executed correctly -- exactly what a proper Boston lobster roll should be. We also tried the stuffed clam, which had a rich, savory stuffing with plenty of flavor and paired perfectly with a squeeze of fresh lemon. There's nothing overly polished or tourist-trapped about James Hook & Co. This is simply authentic Boston seafood done right. If you find yourself anywhere near the waterfront and want the real lobster roll experience, this place is absolutely worth the visit.
