    Lobster rolls
    Dana G.

I went for their happy hour food menu and did not expect to have one of my favorite food items I've eaten in a long time! I'm the crab avocado was exceptional- a large portion of nice lump crab pieces with just the right amount of spicy mayo and then on top of fresh sliced avocado. So simple, but seriously incredibly delicious! I was there for a conference and wished I lived closer just so I could go back for this dish specifically. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and personable. It was early so bot very busy but people are seriously missing out on this dish- cannot say enough good things. While I was honestly full with just that item , I had also ordered the lobster rolls before I knew how big the portion of these items were. They were good as well- sautéed lobster meat and the fries were also good. Would definitely recommend and would come back in a flash.

Great experience as always, the key lime pie was delicious. The fig & honey cocktail as well as the French 75 was also amazing.

Went with work, pre-fixe menu but I'd still expect it to live up to the restaurant standard and it was pretty mid. The bruschetta at the beginning was excellent - spicy, well seasoned. It ended there because the spinach artichoke dip had 0 salt - despite all the cheese! The entree was such a letdown. The salmon was overcooked, many of the folks on the table that had steaks had the same issue. The sides were also awful - the broccoli was steamed/boiled and had 0 flavor, and the mashed potatoes were both nothing special. The carrot cake at the end was ok, the cake was tasty and moist but the frosting was terrible. Would not go back. For the price they should do better

Recently had an amazing dinner at Eddie Merlot's during a recent trip to Boston. The kind where after every bite I had to close my eyes and savor the moment and flavor. When I travel, I love trying new restaurants, but I also appreciate having a spot you can trust to deliver a consistently great experience. Eddie Merlot's checks that box. The atmosphere in the Seaport District location is upscale but comfortable, the service was attentive and welcoming, and the food was exactly what you hope for from a classic steakhouse. Ben was our server for the evening and he provided great recommendations and the perfect pacing of food and service. Love establishments where the manager walks around to each of the tables to check on patrons, Felix stopped by throughout our service to make sure everything was good! All staff I came into contact with were very personable. For apps had the sweet and spicy shrimp, charbroiled oysters, and crabcakes. I really enjoyed the shrimp as they were not only recommendations from our server Ben, but from Felix, the general manager. The sauce was slightly tangy and slightly spicy and had a nice texture from the crunch. The crab cakes were very meaty versus fillers which always makes me happy. The charbroiled oysters had a nice salty creaminess to them! Steaks were perfectly cooked. We had the 8oz Wagyu filet, one was Oscar style (topped with crab) and the other was Maxwell style (topped with lobster--because we're in Boston, so made even more sense!). When I say these melted in my mouth, legitimately was soooooo good. The sides were rich and flavorful, and we opted to offset our steaks with some veggies. We ordered the wild mushrooms and the Eddies's Brussels sprouts with bacon. Both paired well with our steaks!!! The cocktails were a great way to bring everything together. Then we closed out our dinner with the creme brûlée. At first we weren't going to have dessert and then it turned to us being a part of the clean plate club. It was that good! For me, travel is about collecting experiences, not things -- and this dinner was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. If you're in the Seaport area and want a reliable spot for a great meal and excellent service, this is a solid choice.

So delicious!! We went here last night for my fiancé's birthday and everything was very impressive. It was a Monday so the place wasn't busy at all. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I was absolutely in love with the bread, the French onion soup, and the shrimp and scallop entree. I was very excited that they had lobster mashed potatoes, but the lobster had a sweeter seasoning to it that wasn't my favorite. It was fantastically cooked and the mashed potatoes were so soft though. We were treated to a raspberry sorbet for his birthday. We aren't sweets people so sorbet is the perfect light option that we really appreciated!

chef special filet mignon & shrimp

My son had made reservation for eight. Our waitress Willow was excellent! She came over took our order for drinks and appetizers. Some how the bartender made the wrong drinks! Then we order our food which came out. One order was a rack of lamb medium rare, came out well done , return it and it came back RARE!. Another orther was the chef special , Shrimp & Filet Mignon, ordered medium! Return it and came back MEDIUM RARE, return it again this time it came back ABSOLUTELY RARE ready to jump of the plate!! Waitress apologize to us! Also one of the prime ribeye was ordered medium rare and was brought back medium. The short rib that was also ordered was very dry. The general manager came over and back we showed him the filet , he took deeply apoligize and took the lamb & chef special of the bill! The waitress gave us free dessert and mention that there was NO COFFEE!. This was a special occassion for dad's birthday and father's day! You pay this kind of money for a nice evening and a good dinner! I am not sure if i would come here again! Price $$$_$$$$

We sat at the bar on a Thursday evening at 4. Alejandro at the bar was outstanding. Service was excellent. He made some amazing espresso martinis. The bar is large with plenty of seating. We ordered ahi tuna wantons, filet mignon potstickers and a crab avocado cocktail to eat. These were on the happy hour menu and a great value. This is close walk to the Omni Hotel and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful restaurant (and bar) with a great happy hour menu. Lots of great choices and I landed on the FILET MIGNON SLIDERS. The were absolutely delicious. Tender with a tangy kick and boatload of fries. Top that off with a WOODFORD RESERVE OLD FASHIONED and you have a great start to the evening.

We had a wonderful dinner for my dad's surprise 70th birthday. The staff at Eddie Merlot's is extremely accommodating and kind. From the apps to the entrées to the dessert, everything was on point. We ordered everything from fish to steak. The sea bass melted in my mouth. The bone in ribeye was very good. The spicy shrimp appetizer is delicious. Everything on the seafood tower tasted good just lacks presentation. Carrot cake is huge.

Highly recommend Eddie Merlot's! The food was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is gorgeous inside. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave some great recommendations for dessert. The carrot cake WAS SO GOOD! Definitely get it when you come here. I'm already planning my next trip here and my mouth is watering just thinking about that carrot cake!

Classic steakhouse that serve decent food. We got the lunch menu - the crab and corn bisque and steak was great with mushroom. The calamari was alright, not the best that I've had. The service was a little slow but our server was friendly. There are ample seatings and the interior felt like a normal steakhouse. Value: 7/10 Food: 7.5/10 Experience: 7/10 Service: 7/10

Second time is a charm! Eddie Merlot's is one of those Boston restaurants that you frequent over and over again. It's probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been in. This is our second time here. We stopped in for a drink and app. after shopping at the Snowport. We sat at the almost empty and very quiet bar. I ordered their Gruet Sparkling Brut from New Mexico. Probably one of my faves! My hubby had their Daou Cabernet, another favorite of mine. We shared a wedge which they kindly split. We then shared their sliders from the lounge menu which is very inexpensive compared to their full menu. Our bartender Grace was such a joy. Thanks Eddie Merlot's for your gorgeous bar and comfy seats, impeccable service and food and good times. We will be back again soon!

    Is there valet?

Not sure, but there is self-parking with validation.

    Is there a dress code?

It's fine dinning. Pretty sure you don't have to wear a tux or a ball gown. However I'm guessing athletic gear probably not allowed.

Whether you are stopping in for fresh seafood, handcrafted sushi rolls, high-end prime steaks, vibrant plant-based dishes, or simply sandwich and fries for lunch, the kitchen caters effortlessly to diverse palates and dietary preferences. We were seated immediately, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and Sarah, our waitress, was top-notch--friendly, helpful, and genuinely delightful. We started with the Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts, which were so yummy. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Spicy Tuna Dynamite Roll and absolutely loved the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. I had the Vegetarian Power Bowl, and it was one of those meals you remember long after the trip is over. Since Moxies was just a few steps from our hotel, we thought it would be the perfect place for lunch before heading back to Arizona. We were offered a table inside or on the second-floor patio, and we chose the patio. Maybe that was our mistake. From the moment we sat down, it felt like a completely different restaurant. The atmosphere was very casual, but unfortunately so was the service. Our waitress was forgetful, clueless, and at times borderline disrespectful. Our food arrived completely cold after apparently sitting for over 30 minutes, yet there was no acknowledgment of the delay--not even a simple apology. I honestly couldn't believe this was the same place we had raved about the night before. If I were reviewing only our dinner, this would be an easy 5 stars. But I can't ignore what happened the next day. Maybe we were just unlucky. Maybe the patio has a different rhythm than the dining room. I really don't know. I just wish our last memory before heading back to Arizona had been as wonderful as our first.

It was a Sunday night and we didn't feel like going far for a meal. That's when we put the voucher to use as the Capiz is in the lobby of the hotel. We went for an early dinner. Walking into the restaurant, no one was there to greet us and there was no host stand. Finally, a server (who also turned out to be our server) told us to pick where we wanted to sit. We chose a four-top table. When it was time to order, we were dealing with a limited menu. I chose lobster quesadillas, which were listed under "appetizers". My husband chose the fish and chips. The quesadilla was sloppily made. Some pieces had hardly any cheese or lobster in them. Other pieces were overloaded with lobster and cheese. While it was all edible and the lobster was properly cooked, it still was underwhelming. My husband said the fish was well prepared, flaky and crispy at the same time. There were too many French fries, making the plate a bit messy. In a pinch, Capiz did fit the bill as we didn't feel like going far for a meal that day.

We ordered several dishes to share: beef tartare, octopus, crudo, steak, meatloaf, Brussels sprouts, and lobster mac & cheese. Out of everything, the octopus was the only dish that really stood out, and the drinks were still solid. Steak was at high price point but below average for quality. Mac and cheese somehow the sauce was all on the bottom and not covering the Mac.. Also, Parmesan seemed to be on about 95% of the dishes. I like Parmesan, but after this meal, I never want to see another sprinkle of it again. LOL. The service was honestly the biggest disappointment. For an upscale restaurant charging upscale prices, I expected much more attentive service. No one ever came by to ask how the food was, and I actually had to box up my own leftovers. At this price point, that should not be happening. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and I can see myself coming back for drinks and maybe a few apps at the bar. But for dinner? I'd skip the table and the entrees.
