Fantastic experience for dinner one weeknight at Del Frisco's in Seaport! The service was solid throughout the entire night. Food came out in a reasonable time and we were cared for well. The menu had a good selection of entrees with seafood as well as of course, steak! Oysters were yummy and fresh. The sides were delicious - I love a good mac and cheese. The apps were solid too, but I enjoyed the actual meal the most as well as the bread - super delicious. Drinks were tasty as well. The steak was well made and well seasoned - absolutely amazing! And the special dessert was so sweet, both in flavor and sentiment with the writing. We had an amazing time at Del Frisco's and wouldn't mind returning for any future meals or celebrations. I really hate giving bad reviews but this was unfortunately deserved. Food overall was not the best. It tasted all very average. The best dish was the crab cake. The steak barely had salt. The mashed potatoes had too much black pepper, that's all you tasted. It's odd because the food runner served mashed on everyone's plate as opposed to leaving on the table with the rest of the sides? Everything else very much mid. Let's rewind, As we sat down, there was a MOUSE by our table on the deck. Strike 1. Strike 2, drinks weren't the best. We had a great server who tried to bring us a new one but it still wasn't too great. Strike 3, we called ahead and asked if we could bring a cake. They said sure. We brought it, gave it to the staff. They brought it out for us with no silverware or plates. Thinking this was an honest mistake I went to ask for some and I was informed we couldn't cut or eat the cake in the restaurant due to health code issues? Went for a business dinner and immediately noticed how warm it was. We were seated with a beautiful view of the water. Our hosts asked about the temp and were told the AC was broken - my opinion this should have been communicated to them ahead of reservation time. We suffered through the heat sweating during our meeting. Food was expensive but decent - my steak was not hot...which I guess was a blessing. Came here for a sponsored dinner. The lighting was dim and we could barely see the speakers. The food was all right, but the main issue is the food took so long to come that they speakers were done with their talk before we even got the entree. I think it took 1.5 hours for the entree to arrive. The salad itself took 30-45 minutes. We tried to get our dessert go, but the waiter didn't seem to expedite things. The plus was the filet mignon steak was good and had a nice crust and the cheesecake dessert was delicious. read more

Del Frisco hit all the marks for me. I do not have a location near me but while looking at travel videos this steakhouse came across my feed. We decided to make a reservation for lunch as they have a great lunch deal for 38 bucks a person. The place is pretty empty at lunch so the dress code was a little less casual than dinner. Our server was great and gave us recommendations. We started with the crab cake recommendation and then we ordered the filet medallion lunch. Everything that came to our table was cooked perfectly and was delicious. I really liked the bread they served complimentary. This should be a standard for more upscale steakhouses. If you're looking for a lunch option and want to spend a few bucks more for quality I highly recommend. read more

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night with a friend and my girls. There's a parking lot right next door. We were there for a little under 3hrs and paid $28 which I thought is affordable. You can never go wrong with the warm crab cake. It's so savory and the crab meat is so fresh. We had espresso martinis and a mezcal base beverage on the menu that i absolutely loved! The daughter loved their cocktail shrimp and meat balls! We all shared the tomahawk which was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. Lobster Mac and cheese is a must as a side. You can come here without the Mac!! For dessert we have the butter cake. It was okay for me but I also don't have a sweet tooth. Will try the tiramisu next time! I have always been a fan of this location. And will only go to this location. I always end up here because I know it's a guaranteed good time every time. My fiance & I went here with his winnings from fantasy football. We made a reservation online and parked close by. Their service here really stood out, our waitress was witty and very helpful. Their complimentary bread was perfection. Their spritz is now at the top of my list. We obviously had to try the rainbow roll when we spotted it on the menu, the seafood quality was unmatched. We picked this restaurant because the one in our hometown of Charlotte, NC, is always amazing, and this Boston, MA, location was only seven minutes from our event. My friends and I had just finished our first Hyrox race, we were starving, exhausted, and rushed over before the kitchen closed. Honestly, it was such a disappointment. None of the food came out hot--everything was just warm at best. Three out of four steaks were cooked wrong. We asked for medium well, but got medium rare. By that point, it was late, I was beyond tired, and it was almost midnight, so I didn't even bother sending mine back. What really sucks is that Charlotte has never let us down, so I expected the same here. Instead, after a long, exhausting day, it felt like a waste of money--especially for a steakhouse that's supposed to be on the higher end. The bill was roughly $300 before tip, and the food was below subpar. That stings, because we work hard for our money, and with a price tag like that I expect great quality food. I'd just say be careful choosing this Boston location--it did not live up to the standard. read more

Double Eagle's are my favorite Steakhouse chain in the United States. I've wanted to eat here at the location on the up and coming South Boston Pier area for a while. My sister and her family celebrate a lot of special occasions here. Tonight was no different as I flew into Boston to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary. The location and interior are exceptional. We had a party of 10, so good sized. It took a little while to get our first drinks, I ordered a Vesper which was great. We ordered 2 bottles of wine off the incredibly extensive wine menu- the Sommelier came over and spent time with suggestions which was great. We ordered 4 appetizers, all were very good, no real standouts. Salads were great as always. I ordered a petit filet medium rare that was cooked to perfection. We ordered 4 sides, typical steakhouse sides that delivered. My only issue was with the service, it was slow and a little disappointing. We had to wait forever to get second drinks, and the waiters were not on thier game. After stopping by the table consistently to refill wine glasses for the first 15 minutes, they disappeared. We ended up pouring our own glasses the rest of the night, from the wine buckets placed on both sides of the table. When our wine bottles finished, they didn't offer another, we had to ask, which is crazy for a restaurant that costs this much (and that I was paying for!) :( That was my big gripe here- the service. It really deserves 3 1/2 stars- when will Yelp start allowing half stars!! They did bring out a beautifully designed dessert celebrating my parents anniversary which was a nice surprise. I'd go back, this area of Boston is awesome, and the views of Boston harbor from this second floor are incredible, adding to the whole experience. read more

It truly hurts me to write this review because I normally have nothing but amazing experiences here. That is exactly why I traveled from Connecticut with 14 guests to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. Our server, Mike, was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. If I could give five stars solely based on his service, I would without hesitation. Everything was going wonderfully until the food arrived. I ordered the surf and turf trio and requested my steak cooked medium. Mike confirmed that medium would be red on the inside and pink on the outside--exactly how I enjoy my steak. Another guest in my party ordered a medium-rare steak. Given our past experiences here, we expected nothing but perfection. When the food arrived, all of my seafood was cold. I initially brushed this off, understanding we were a large party. However, when I cut into my steak, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. Based on the texture alone, I could tell it was well done--and it was. There was no pink or red anywhere. At the same moment, I noticed the look on my guest's face. He pushed his steak aside because his was also completely well done. After some hesitation, we decided to speak up. Mike kindly called over Rena, and unfortunately, that is when the night took a sharp turn for the worse. Rena did not handle the situation with professionalism or leadership. She approached the table with a flashlight to inspect the steak, as if our taste buds were somehow mistaken. When my guest's wife attempted to help by providing additional light, Rena snapped at her and told her to put it away. She then held the flashlight so close to the plate that it nearly touched the food. Rena then turned to me aggressively and said, "Well, what do you want to do about it?" I calmly responded that I was already full and did not want the meal remade. She rolled her eyes and replied, "Well good, enjoy that then," before storming off. The rest of the staff appeared embarrassed and mortified, and it was clear this behavior did not reflect their standard of service. It was extremely disappointing that such an unprofessional interaction came from someone in a leadership role, especially at an establishment known for excellence. First let me say the food was absolutely phenomenal. We had calamari, them eatballs, two cuts of steak, the potatoes au gratin and the lobster bisque with the butter cake as a desert. The steak was cooked perfectly, the calamari and meatballs were excellent appetizers and the butter cake was amazing. the lobster bisque was good but I think the recipe needs a little tweaking. I want to give a shout out to our waiter, Michael C., who was the most attentive waiter we have ever had. We never once had to ask for more water or to clear off a used plate or silverware and he checked in frequently to make sure we were well taken care of. Our hats are off to you good sir! Thank you for making it a great experience. We had a window table with a view of the harbor. The bar was a little noisy, but the view was phenomenal! I took my family of 5 to Del Frisco's (Boston's Seaport District), hoping to relive a few of my most memorable dining experiences, at Del Frisco's in NYC. We had an early reservation, and things started well. We were seated with a nice view of Boston Harbor. Our server was very pleasant and promptly took our drink orders. Unfortunately he also seemed to be tending bar, and so as the evening progressed, timely service to our table steadily deteriorated to the point of asking for the bill rather than stay to enjoy coffee and dessert. The support staff (food runners) also seemed a bit off their game. When our food arrived and the family-style sides were being dished onto our plates, there were a few spills, including one helper who dropped a mushroom on the table and proceeded to pick it up with her fingers and put it back into the mushroom dish(!) Didn't strike me as quite in line with your typical fine dining server protocol. My ($95) bone-in ribeye steak was below average, with several gristle-filled bites to tangle with. Not nearly the quality I'd been expecting. That said, my wife and kids were happy with their selections. So mostly good on the steaks, which should be excellent across the board. Finally, we found the appetizer and family-style side portions to be quite small for price. Overall, a fairly disappointing night out considering the premium price tag. read more

Walked next door to Legal Seafoods, valet there said they handled both???? So 20 minutes after arriving they took my car for $28. Went inside, big long staircase upstairs, hind site should have taken the elevator. Sat outside, magnificent night and views, highlight of the evening . Order a half bottle of wine for $160, they couldn't get the cork out of it. After about 20 minutes finally got it out, wine was just ok. I ordered the king crab and my buddy ordered a steak. Worst king crab I've ever had, I've had in 100 times during my 60 years, this was the worst. Small portion, over cooked, stuck to the shell and didn't taste good. My buddy offered me a piece of his steak, gross! Granted it was cooked medium and I'm a rare guy, but not good. There are 3-4 steak seafood restaurants within walking distance not to be named, but all are so so so much better. King crab and Steak in that neighborhood are on a bunch of menus, I've tried most if not all, this is by far the worst king crab and steak in the Seaport. There was decent crowd which surprised me. Either I got the unlucky draw of bad food or the clients there don't mind the crazy high prices and disappointing quality of food and prep. Booze, views, ambience awesome, but the food. read more

Been to Del Frisco's before in other cities and back home in LA, this one was just as good. Excellent prime ribeye, nice wine pairings, good service that was attentive even though we were in our own space. Only reason why it's not 5 stars is because I've probably been to Del Frisco's one too many times and nothing really wowed me. My son came home from college in August but he only had a week to spend with us before he had to Arizona go back for classes. I wanted to take him, my daughter, and a friend of my son's to someplace nice so I chose Del Frisco's in the Seaport. I work in the Seaport and so I was pretty familiar with the place, but after eating there it far exceeded my expectations. we wanted to sit outside and we got a table on the deck which was pretty empty because rain was expected (it stayed well north of us so we were dry). I had a wonderful server named Brendan Cleary and right away we hit it off with great conversation. We started out with the thick cut bacon and the meatballs for appetizers. My son and his friend got the prime ribeye, I got the small Filet Mignon, and my daughter got the crab cakes. We also got the mashed potatoes, and creamed corn for the table. Everything was absolutely amazing. As I said earlier, it really exceeded my expectations. During the course of the meal, the manager, Adrienne Lawrence came over to check on us and we had a nice conversation about how great our server was. On our way out, I ran into Michael Valitsky, the general manager. He asked how our experience was and we all agreed that it was among the best meals we've had in Boston. It took almost an hour from being seated to getting appetizers. The cocktail shrimp were frozen causing a really weird texture. All the sides came out lukewarm. Ribeye steak had a nasty smell and taste. I ended up having to send it back after one bite. My wife tried it and ended up getting sick. The second steak was better tasting but the meat was grisly. We ate at Del Frisco's for our anniversary let me tell you we had five star dining and VIP treatment from the moment we pulled up to valet parking to entering the restaurant when we gave them our coats we were wished happy anniversary. We had an amazing view then we were served with champagne where the gentleman went outside on the deck with a sign that said happy 17 year anniversary and then he opened up the champagne with a knife. It was incredible ! our waitress Emily, & staff were very attentive to our needs and on top of everything with recommendations to hot towels for your hands, we started out with the butter bread if you like bread trust me you will love this this is we decided to try the seafood tower for an appetizer. It was so fresh and yummy and The sauces they paired them with were incredible. For our dinner, we both decided to get. The 16oz strip steak, which was cooked to perfection and from a recommendation from Emily, we paired it with the lobster mac & cheese and it's big enough for two people and it's the best mac & cheese I ever ate finally dessert time we had the butter cake it was out of this world it had a caramelized crispy outside with a warm soft inside They topped it with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce every bite tasted like little bit of heaven. we highly highly highly recommend Del Frisco's restaurant definitely 5 stars this will be an anniversary dinner/experience that we both will never ever ever forget !!! read more

Impressive restaurant with full view of the harbor through the large glass windows. The modern ambiance transcends the old dark wood steakhouse's of the past. Ordered a Ketel One cosmo and the first one the guy (shorter man with eyeglasses) made was just not right and I knew right away because there was too much cranberry juice in it. Regardless, I took a sip or two to taste it and it wasn't balanced correctly. As I said, too much cranberry, not enough lime juice whatsoever. I asked if another can be made with fresh lime juice and less cranberry, the color came out as it should but the taste was still lacking majorly. He placed it in front of me without my lime garnish and walked away without apologizing or acknowledging me. Didn't even bother speaking to me or my friend about the drinks afterwards. The place looks nice for the location but the service, not so much. I'm actually still sitting at the bar writing this review while the bartender is placing glasses on the dish washer and still no acknowledgement.
