I just found my new favorite spot! This is a quick grab and go Argentina empanada restaurant. They do have some seating inside but it is very small so I would recommend take out. I got assorted empanadas and they were all amazing! I also got the homemade chimichurri sauce to take home. They also had homemade desserts and some international imported items for sale like hot sauce, cookies, caramel sauce, and coffee. The service was quick and friendly. They even labeled the empanadas and had heating directions on the box. I'll definitely be back sooner rather than later! Highly recommend!

The shops in this building seem to constantly change but I hope that Che Empanada stays for some time. They have a wide variety of empanadas (a lot more flavors than their website advertises) in addition to some retail items in the tiny store. I got the beef clasico, tango beef, spicy chicken, and mushroom chicken empanadas, which came out to $20 before tax and tip. The person who helped me with my order kindly labeled everything in the box. Only when I got home did I realize that I forgot to ask for chimichurri! The empanadas reheated well. They had a very delicate pastry shell that would sometimes crumble from the weight of the fillings. They tasted homey-- not too salty, greasy, or overly processed. While each empanada flavor tasted unique, I thought that they could definitely be enhanced by a tangy, salty, spicy sauce. I really should have picked up some chimichurri... They have a good selection of vegetarian empanadas and a vegan empanada as well. I look forward to coming back!

Amazing take out for Empanadas just opened on Memorial Drive. Food is superb and delighted kids and adults alike. Service is friendly, and location is easy to get to. Highly recommend the Spicy Chicken and Beef Classico, but the Vegan empanada is also worth checking out, it's filled with squash.

We walked into a space that is more takeout oriented in scale, but warm and comfortable enough to sit and eat without feeling out of place. The menu runs over twenty varieties of empanada on a given day, and the range is wide enough that building a mixed order across a few different fillings was the natural and obvious way to go. The classic beef is a reliable anchor and the short rib version elevates that same foundation with a richer, more layered filling. We tried the chicken mushroom, one of the more distinctive options on the menu, and it was worth ordering for something that departs from the expected. The spicy chorizo paired well with the chimichurri sauce, which is worth asking for if it does not come automatically. The La Che is another strong option if you want to try the house specialty alongside a more classic pick. One thing worth knowing is that some varieties sell out earlier in the day, so arriving with a bit of flexibility in your order in case a specific filling is gone is a smart approach. The staff were friendly and helped guide us through the menu when we hesitated. The empanadas themselves came out hot and crisp, with fillings that felt generous and well seasoned. For an empanada stop in Newton that delivers on variety and quality, Che Empanada is worth seeking out. We would come back for the short rib and the spicy chorizo, and we would plan to arrive earlier to catch the full selection.

A large group of us went for Dine Out Boston and although some ordered drinks, we didn't opt for any food upgrades, and I wonder if that had something to do with the poor service. We were served the "filler" meats pretty quickly - chicken and sausage, followed by the lower quality beef cuts. Eventually, the better cuts made their way around, but after about one round of each, we barely saw the servers again. Even when we specifically requested certain cuts, we waited long stretches of time before they came around. My memory was that as long as your card was green, the meat just kept coming. This time, I didn't even need to flip my card to red because we were served so infrequently. The cheese bread on the other hand kept getting refilled without our asking, even though we already had multiple baskets on the table. And this is relatively minor, but when you sit down, they ask whether you want still or sparkling water. If you don't want to be charged for every round, you have to proactively ask for tap. On its own, it's not a big deal and it's certainly not unique to this restaurant, but combined with everything else, it contributed to the overall feeling that the business model is a bit of a scam. Unfortunately, the food and experience just didn't justify the price this time around. **Update: I reached out to customer service as they suggested, but unsurprisingly, I never received a response.

Ali was an exceptional server. He paid attention to all the little details that turned a great meal into a memorable one. Without us even asking, he brought extra potatoes and creamed spinach for the table and made everyone feel genuinely cared for. One of our favorite moments was when he noticed the two boys (both 12) tackling the huge bone-in ribeye. He jokingly told them that if they finished it, dessert was on him. They accepted the challenge, cleaned their plates, and Ali happily kept his promise! Not only did he bring the desserts, but he surprised them with an extra dessert, and each dessert plate had "Congratulations!" written in chocolate. Those thoughtful, personal touches are what truly set a restaurant apart. This is exactly how you wow your guests. It's not just about serving outstanding food--it's about creating an experience people will remember. Our party of seven (four adults and three teenagers) spent about $800, and every single dollar felt worth it. The food was phenomenal, but what made the evening unforgettable was the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Ali and the entire Capital Grille team--from the bartenders, bussers, chefs, pastry chefs, hostesses, dishwashers, and everyone working behind the scenes. It takes an entire team to deliver an experience like this, and every one of you should be proud. We can't wait to come back!

He was also very funny and conversational which added to the positive experience. Please send our best regards to Bruno for his exceptional hospitality! The food was sooo good. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the calamari and oysters, which were delicious. For my main course, I had the steak au poivre medium-rare, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. For sides, we shared the asparagus, truffle fries, and the lobster mac and cheese which was the best mac and cheese any of us have ever had! And I don't even like lobster! Overall, we had a great evening and cannot wait to return. Thank you!

I loved that it asks whether you're celebrating a special occasion and a space to add notes. The reservations were for a Thursday night, so it wasn't too busy. We parked in a garage nearby for about $18, but they do offer valet parking too. It was a hot day, so we wanted to stay inside and thankfully they put us right by the window overlooking the water and airplanes flying into and out of Logan. After sitting down, they placed some bread on the table. It reminded me of a fluffier Hawaiian roll, with a dash of salt to balance out the sweet and buttery components. We started by ordering an appetizer. We were torn between half of them, but with the help of our server, we narrowed it down to grilled oysters ($20 ish); four came in the order and they were very delicious - fresh, creamy, slightly cheesy, and savory. For our entrée, my friend and I shared the 22 oz bone in rib eye (cooked medium; $100), asparagus ($18), and lobster mac and cheese ($28). After about 15 minutes, the food was at our table. The ribeye was cooked to about medium well instead, but it was still tender and flavorful. The marbling was great also. The asparagus was very good. They were lightly buttered, salted, and peppered - simple but great, with even the ends being crunchy and easy to chew. The lobster mac and cheese is always my favorite. It's creamy, cheesy, and has a good amount of lobster chunks. Two people came to our table to help serve us our first portion of sides which was very kind. We had a comedy show to catch in the city, so we were rushing towards the end. They did have dessert for us, but because we were short on time, they packed it for us instead. Between the quality of the food and the attention we received, we were very happy with our time here.

Over $300 for two, split an app, shared a salad, no alcohol and no dessert for $300 (with tip). The money aside, the Caesar salad dressing was like watered down mayonnaise, no sharp taste or strong Parmesan flavor and the lettuce was brown. The bread was cold, old and dry with a hunk of butter or oil in the center. The mashed potatoes were soupy and lacked flavor. The steak, paled in comparison to the well seasoned steak of their past. What happened? I later learned the place was sold in 2019. I guess that may explain the dissatisfaction. The service was good, although it lacked the sophistication of the past. We won't be back.
