I've ordered three times here: once to try it out, then for my mother and family, and then ordered three dozen for an outdoor party. So, it's safe to say I love this place. I love the concept: simple food with a variety of fillings. There's a nice variety of styles, including a vegetarian one, that are tasty and well seasoned. I won't even try to review the individual types. They are basically savory pastries. My family all loved them, there's plenty of variety so there's something for everyone. Authentic and delicious! Though I am not of Argentinian descent, I've been to Argentina several times, and speak Spanish. Che Empanadas are fantastic! Great variety. They also have Alfahores, a delicious dessert which isn't easy to find. I heard that soon they will be offering matte (a concentrated herbal tea) in the classic Argentinian style. Tried the new Newton location: Overpriced, underwhelming, mediocre customer service. Very disappointed.

Tried the Newton location. They had a young kid running the front register and taking orders. Ordered four empanadas to eat onsite. All four were cold, and per the kid running the register all they had was sriracha for sauces. The empanadas were only "ok". Next customer came in and was greeted by a different cashier and was told that their empanadas would come with two different types of chimmichuri sauces. Also tried the alfajores cookies, 3 for $12! Not worth the price at all. Bottled water cost $4.01, paid with $5, cashier was expecting to keep the 99cents in change. Very overpriced, and underwhelming sadly. Will not be back. read more

The empanadas were tasty! They are all prepared in a glass case, which I wasn't expecting... But they are packaged so nicely and labeled so you can keep the flavors straight. Yup. Brand new place. Just opened. Went in there around 715 pm. No more chicken empenadas but got 2 different types of beef and a chorizo empanada . Also got a ham and cheese in a dough. Argentinian style empenadas. Soooooooo delicious. The place is take out. Looks like a modern bakery. Very nice interior. I hope it stays around. Tough location. read more
