I wanted to try a sampling of what Dos Tacos had to offer, so I went with a carnitas taco and a chicharron pupusa. The carnitas taco was a 3/5, the pork was tender but not terribly flavorful and the salsa served with it was more vinegary than spicy or savory. The pupusa on the other hand was a definite 5/5. In Salvadoran cuisine, chicharron is is a paste of seasoned pork and Dos Tacos does a really amazing job making their's. It's spicy without being overwhelmingly so and the texture goes perfectly with the thick, clearly hand made tortilla that it's stuffed inside. Dos Tacos is a worthy addition to the emerging Pleasant Street restaurant scene and is definitely worth the trip for the fantastic pupusas.
