They never disappoint! There's a large variety of choices on the menu that are full of flavor, employees are cheerful and friendly and it's always ready on time for pick up orders. We go here often! read more

This establishment feels like home. Cozy inside with that authentic decor. Food was amazing and tasty. The young lady that served us was polite and nice. Can't wait to go back. Plenty of parking. I used maps to get there and it brought us around another building . Don't panic just drive around . read more

Well. Once we were able to find it (hidden in side of building), we were seated immediately. The restaurant was small and a little hectic? We didn't actually get service until they asked us if we were ready to order. Even then, we had to ask if we could get drinks while we decided. The male server seemed bothered having to wait for our decision and even sent the other waitress to take our order. Throughout the entire experience, it seemed like a chore to tend to us. As for the food, it looks MUCH better than it tastes. Don't let the beauty of the sopes cover its lack of seasoning. The tomatillo salsa on the enchiladas was incredibly lime-y, the chicken dry, and the rice felt straight from the box. As we were finishing up, we could see and feel the eyes of the servers "patiently" waiting to give us the bill. Oh, FYI, there is a charge if you use credit card charge. At least they had GF enchiladas. read more

Absolutely a solid choice for authentic Spanish food. Tacos, burritos and papusas have never let us down. All have great flavor and a great value. The refried beans are so creamy and flavorful. Don't miss out! read more

I LOVE El Comalito!! They have a huge menu, so there is definitely something for everyone. They even have chicken fingers and fries for people who might not like El Salvadoran food. It's so cute and colorful inside, with plenty of seating and a full bar. I always get pupusas when I come because they make them fresh, and I love the spicy pickled cabbage it comes with. The pupusas take about 20 minutes to make, but even then everything came out pretty quickly. The margaritas are so good and come in so many flavors! I got the passion fruit this time but I've also had the pineapple and hibiscus in the past. They recently added sopes to their menu so I had to try them. I got the veggie version which was absolutely loaded up! Mushrooms, peppers, onions, broccoli, lettuce, cheese. My only tiny complaint is that I wish the broccoli was cut into smaller pieces so it is easier to get a bite with a little of everything. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Cute place with good, friendly service. They started with the chips & salsa (needed a bit more of a kick personally) and then ordered. We had the chicken tamal, pupusas revueltas, and lengua tacos with baja (lettuce & pico de gallo). Everything was okay except the lengua meat, which was superb. read more

You can get a LOT of food for a good price! The chicken tacos were probably my favorite and were really filling, especially for being just $9.49. As a heads up, they do provide free chips and salsa but only after you order (we didn't know and ordered a huge appetizer that we had to bring home afterwards). The location is the only drawback. We went for dinner and it felt disconcerting to drive through large fields of grass to arrive at a run down looking gas station. The restaurant building itself is adorable and warm looking but the path to getting there did have me doubting myself a little. Regardless, you should still make the trip as the food and service more than makes up for the slightly scary location (at least at night). read more

Best Mexican/salvadorean food in town! The mole is delicious, as are the pupusas. Portions are generous.

Extensive menu, delicious enchiladas and pupusas. Service was perfect. Can't wait to come again.

Food here is great, especially the consommé and beef pupusas. I'm always looking for non-alcoholic drinks and milkshakes...virgin margaritas are not something I've seen elsewhere; I enjoyed the passionfruit a lot! Also, yaaas, fried plaintains! Service was quite fast, though the place was mostly empty. Surprisingly, on a Saturday night. Maybe the locals haven't discovered the awesomeness of the food yet? I will definitely be back. read more

This is the first Mexican restaurant that did NOT have chimichangas on the menu. It does cater to the college set, extensive burrito choices. I ordered the fajitas dish. They were quick and hot. Good quantity, took a box home. I wasn't crazy for their refried beans, they were soupy. Didn't care for the salsa that came with the chips either. Their rice was great, along with the fajitas! It was a chilly January afternoon and I noticed they were using a space heater in the dining area. It was comfortable enough to eat in. read more

Holy mole is this place good (and gluten-free friendly!) There is so much flavor in this food, it's absolutely delicious. I was recommended to try the Birria Tacos (aka french dip tacos) and it was a close your eyes and cry a small tear sort of experience. They were so insanely good. My husband tried some and had the same reaction. I don't recall what he got because I was so focused on my own magic, but he loved his dinner too. We will absolutely be back again and SOON! Oh and for my GF friends, they have a well-marked menu, and a lot of the menu is made with corn tortillas, so there's plenty to eat, including the Birria! They were also extremely friendly, like over the top friendly and helpful, even got me a to-go cup for my horchata when they saw me trying to chug it down before we left, ha! read more

Usually good but they gave me fajitas when I ordered taquitos. Not sure how you mess that up, those words don't sound very similar. Maybe it's my fault because I should have said "flautas", even though they mean the same thing as taquitos. It's unfortunate too because that's one of the most expensive items on the menu ‍ read more

We love El Comalito and visit often. The food is always delicious and the margaritas are the best around. Everything is fresh and made to order. One of our favorite places. read more

Super cute restaurant. Ordered pickup from here and the food was outstanding. Will be back again soon.

I'm a fan of El Comalito. The variety of food is probably the best thing about El Comalito. I really like the plantains, the Yuca con Chicharrones, and their Mexican dishes. The platters can look basic (rice and beans) but are definitely tasty. They used to be a good deal price wise, but I'm not so sure anymore. The seating area is nicely decorated, though a bit small/cramped. The staff are not particularly friendly, or patient. I typically do take out, and I don't think I've ever been greeted warmly. They've had phone issues for months, where it makes it hard to understand what they are saying. I've had staff snap at me when I ask them to repeat themselves. read more

Good but definitly not great. Food tastes great. Serving sives are pathetic, the tortilla wraps for the burritos are very small, like half the size of chipotle. If your hungry your gonna need to order 2. I would suggest the chipotle chicken burrito, it is my favorite. Or the fajitas which are better value possibly than the burrito. Still I would say it is the best restaurant in Easthampton. If your in the area give it a go. read more

The best shrimp burritos in the valley! Huge, tasty shrimp smothered in sour cream rice& beans. it's heavy on the shrimp & seasonings! I was full halfway through but couldn't stop myself from finishing! My husband had the steak burrito, he's not a fan Mexican or South American style but he gobbled his up too! I can't recommend this little gem enough! read more

I have been coming here for the past 3 years and the service has since incredibly improved while the food remains authentic and delicious. Can never get enough of their refried beans and rice as well as whatever main dish I order. Quesadillas are perfect and I love their carnitas en salsa verde. Milk shakes are great too. Pupusas are yummy but take a while to prepare so order them when you have the extra time to wait read more

Why people would rate this treasure trove anything less than five stars is beyond me. Absolutely AMAZING authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price and the waiter is super friendly. Some of my recommendations would be the huaraches, tamales, tortas, and birria tacos, but tbh just about everything on the menu looks damn delicious. read more

Our favorite Mexican in the area by far!! Great traditional Mexican food, good guacamole, and good drinks. It's the trifecta! A ton of options for all tastes. We really don't go anywhere else. read more

The nachos supreme were the best nachos I have had in my life. The avocados were just perfectly fresh and delicious and good looking, and the cheese was good but it overkill. Overall, the place had a nice authentic Mexican vibe and a nice amount of people there. The menu was pretty large and I really enjoyed my experience there. read more

Always good food and service. Great and varied choices. Plenty of seating. Also full portion for takeout.

Wanted to have Mexican takeout. Found this place on Yelp. I would never have found it on your own. Great, unique food. So many items I have never seen before. My wife loved the huge selection of GF items. Will definitely be going back. We will eat inside and try one of their $28 margaritas. read more

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here. Highly recommend the Birra tacos and a strawberry margarita

Food and drinks are awesome. Service is slow , and they should add more team members if they want to keep the reputation good. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 young children , and it took us a good 2 hours to have one drink and one dish each. I would still recommend for quality authentic food ! read more

Great food delicious, small setting, good service. Try to go early or be prepared to wait.

Found this cute little place through Yelp and went twice on the same week. It's simple, no frills Mexican and Salvadorian dishes. You order as you come in and then a waitress brings your dish to the table. Service is very friendly. I tried the papusas and they were on point. On my second day I had the green enchiladas which were also very tasty. It's not a fancy place but often the best places aren't. It is very cozy and inviting. Several tables. Ample parking. Clean bathroom. Update: visited again 4/28. Food was still very good but I felt the staff lacked attention to tables that needed to be cleaned. Instead....he sits texting. Also bathroom lighting this time was too dark. read more

It took years for this little divey, off the beaten path joint to secure their liquor license and now...damn! The carne asada burrito with guacamole is a go to item. Tonight we had Dorados, potato and chicken, and a chicken tamale. It was awesome. Live this place a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

Amazing food, lovely casual atmosphere... can't believe it took me this long to find it

The food was good but i was not drinking and i got the impression that i was unwelcome because of my race as the server and host were very cold to me. Two parties seated after me got served and talked to and the server and host were so friendly to them. My food and ginger ale was thrown down on the table without conversation and the bill was taken with the tip i left with not even a thank you or a smile. I was very pleasant and said thank you and goodnight but i felt hurt like i had done something wrong and i was feeling lonely so that was the main reason i went out. If you drink many margaritas or are Latina they will enjoy your company and i highly recommend the Salvadorian pupusas they were very tasty. read more

I was planning to eat at the place across the street, but they weren't opening until later in the day, so... Plan B, El Comalito. I like it! Old fashioned decor, friendly people. I started with chips and salsa which honestly were the weakest part of the meal. Chips needed to cook a bit longer, and the salsa was bland except for the cilantro. I like cilantro but it could have used heat and a bit more salt. On to the margarita - I got the 'classic' and it was. Fresh squeezed lime. (Pulp!) Smooth and satisfying. Not being familiar with Salvadoran food I stuck with what I know, and ordered enchiladas. Three of them, a hearty plateful with rice and refried beans. All delicious. You get a choice of sauces and I opted for the chipotle. It was plenty hot, just the right heat level and very tasty. (I've had too many bland sauces. This was kickin'.) Service is good but unhurried, and as mentioned, very friendly. Prices seemed reasonable. All in all, except for the complimentary chips and salsa, a darn good meal. I'll be back. read more

My friend recommended this place to me because it was one of the best Mexican places she's had in the Amherst area and after my visit, I can agree! Everything on the menu was calling my name but I ended up going with the steak tacos complimented with rice and beans. My boyfriend got a steak quesadilla and that came with rice and beans. It was pretty flavorful! And the steak tacos I've had before are usually a hit or miss for flavor. For an appetizer, we got salsa and guacamole with chips. The chips were fresh and so was the guacamole. The guacamole was BOMB. I loved it. The salsa was not my favorite. We got hot at first and it wasn't good so we asked for medium. Medium was better but I wouldn't get it again. I would've preferred two sides of guacamole, tbh. Their sour cream was pretty bomb too. It had veggies in it. I'm a fan. The food was pretty good, pretty inexpensive, and the place was pretty clean. For all the food listed above plus two Jarritos, it was about $33-34. Pretty good. Oh yeah! They have so many Jarritos flavors!!! love. I'll probably be back. read more

No Stars. This restaurant is the worst & will try to charge you the gratuity which is illegal!!! Upon entering the surly bartender/waiter was on the phone & completely ignored us. After standing around for 5 minutes the only waitress on staff sat us in the dim lit dining room. Another table came in shortly after us & somehow got there food first. Our waitress who had clearly never waited tables before took our drink order & then disappeared for 20 minutes before coming back to take our order. We ordered nachos that arrived with no plates so our table became messy. I'm not sure what chips were used but they were thick & tasteless. Another 20 minutes rolls by before she even comes back for our entree. We had a show that evening & were starting to worry about making it on time. The venue was only a 60 second walk from the restaurant but we were still concerned about time because the service was so slow. No 3 minutes or 3 bites. My husband ordered a beer & only 1 beer because she never came back to see if we needed drinks or even plates. Finally ordered some basic tacos & had the perfect view to watch the cook working in the kitchen. I was excited to try the Fluffy Taco as I'd never had one & instead I got a basic ground beef white People Taco. All of the shells were gross & unfired so we were eating basic gross uncooked Taco shells that were so underwhelming & tasteless. As the time grew closer to our show we needed to find the surly teenager behind the bar who just seemed pissed to be at work & as we were paying they charged us the gratuity automatically which is 100% illegal & then they tried to blame it on my husband & say that he was drunk & belligerent. He drank one beer over the hour plus we sat there waiting for the only wait person in the whole place to even come near us. There was only 3 tables in the whole empty place. They don't know what they're doing & they're food is bad. read more

It wasn't until I tried this restaurant that I realized every time I've craved something but couldn't quite put my finger on what... was that I was missing these foods in my life. The jalapeno and cheese pupusas are a treat, thickness and amount of cheese just right. The fish tacos are so tasty. I can't get enough of the empanadas. And yes their chips and salsa is good (though I'd prefer the salsa a little less runny). Even the shrimp burrito is amazing a day later, cold. I look forward to eating here, because this place has so many options to satisfy my need for savory food at reasonable prices. Staff is really friendly too. The restaurant can get quite busy, so ordering take-out is probably the best option at those times as there aren't a ton of tables. The bar appears to make good drinks--as it should with a popular dive right next door. read more

This place is one of the best things to happen to the Valley. It's my number 1 favorite Mexican eatery. These people are talented as $&@%! Seriously! I've been to San Miguel Mexico many times and this food is better than most of the places I ate at and just as good as only two I went to. Easthampton is so lucky they expended! It will blow their minds! read more

First time coming here, and DEFINITELY my last. If I could give this 0 stars I would, but unfortunately it's impossible. This place was AWFUL. The food wasn't good, the staff was rude and swore at us, they spoke in Spanish thinking we didn't understand (we did) calling us disrespectful names. They messed up almost everything we ordered and were not kind/understanding. The waiter threw the check at us and never checked on us at any point during the experience unless she was called over. I would NEVER recommend going here. 0/5 stars. read more
