Hola Restaurant is one of the rare places that gives you both since the moment you walk in. I first discovered Hola about 4 years ago when I was working near Island Pond. Every Friday, my coworkers and I looked forward to ordering from there. We'd all pitch in for breakfast or lunch, and my boss would pick up our order. It quickly became our Friday tradition, and honestly, it was always the highlight of the workweek. Over the years, Hola has become much more than just a restaurant to me. I've trusted them to cater my baby shower and my son's birthday, and every single time they exceeded my expectations. Whenever friends or family come to visit, Hola is one of the first places I take them because I know they'll leave impressed, not just by the food, but by the experience. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. No matter what we order, it never disappoints. Even now, living about 40 minutes away, I still make the drive because it's simply that good. What truly sets Hola apart, though, is the people. The woman who cooks is one of the sweetest, most loving people you'll ever meet, and the staff makes you feel like you're walking into a family member's home rather than a restaurant. They remember your name, they remember your family, and they genuinely ask how everyone is doing. Those little moments mean so much because they make you feel seen, appreciated, and welcomed every single time you walk through the door. In today's world, it's becoming harder to find places that combine amazing food with genuine hospitality. Hola Restaurant has mastered both. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to share because the food usually disappears before I even think about taking one! But trust me when I say this place is worth every single penny. If you're anywhere near Springfield or even if you're not, make the trip. I promise you won't regret it. For me, it's not just a restaurant anymore. I will admit it's a little bit of time since I reviewed a place but this is a day you don't feel like doing anything/going anywhere & just getting something for yourself & enjoying yourself as well & this case was such & this place I selected. I had a Chicarrom de Polo (no bones) with yellow/Spanish rice & black beans & a Costello a BBQ rids with white rice and black beans & overall impressive (photos will accompany) & this is an interesting Spanish style restaurant (I only wish whereabouts the cuisine is representing due to numerous areas) and best $38 spent. read more

Such a wonderful family restaurant! Went with a group of friends while visiting Massachusetts. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is super clean. I truly don't have any complaints on any food items. The drinks were so refreshing! The tostones were delicious. I got the steak with rice and black beans - the portion was great and the food was FRESH. The prices were so reasonable, I paid $25 for two meals, appetizers and two drinks! Can't beat that. I got take out from Hola for lunch and it was delicious. The woman who helped me (the owner?) was very friendly and helpful. I had the beef stew, rice and pinto beans and plantains as well. The food is served from a hot table line, which means service is quick when you only have a few minutes. Very tasty and huge portions that lasted me for two full meals (at nine months pregnant). I also had an passion fruit agua fresca which was a bit too sweet for me but delicious when I cut it with water. I look forward to returning. read more

This place has loads of charm and character. Everybody seems to know everybody, and neighborhood people stroll in to say hello to various staff members or other patrons. When my wife and I walked in the first thing we noticed was a display case filled with doughnuts, eclairs, popovers, etc., and we wondered if we had mistakenly wandered into a bakery. We almost walked out, but we were glad we didn't. Right beyond the desserts is a steam table of delicious Dominican fare. Be warned: None of the staff speaks English particularly well, but they're super friendly and they go out of their way to help you. Fortunately, during our visit there was a young Dominican woman customer from the neighborhood who translated as we made our order, which made things much easier. Oh, also, the place is so new, there were no menus or board describing items and listing prices. So basically we just pointed at different dishes and our friendly neighborhood translator explained if it was beef or pork or chicken (some of the dishes it was pretty obvious, others not so much). Anyway, my wife decided on a beef dish with peppers, and I went with a staff recommendation, which was another slightly different beef dish with peppers and onions. My wife also got black beans and rice while I got what was described as a Dominican variation of beans and rice. I also added a bowl of black beans and some sliced avocado as sides, and we shared a lemonade. Total price for the two us? $18. Great deal! Everything was delicious. During our visit, we were the only people who dined in, but there were a lot of takeout orders. When we were leaving the women in charge apologized for her limited English and explained that the restaurant is new and they planned on getting menus and a board soon. We will be back! read more
