I have two suggestions: 1. HIRE A BARTENDER and teach your waitstaff about bar orders. It's lacked that service since they opened. 2. 2 months I've been tossing and turning thinking about the Al pastor burrito bowl I got from here in June. The sweet and savory combination combined with the actual best refried beans you have ever tasted would not leave my mind. Went back this week to indulge again, and it did not disappoint. On top of this entree, the restaurant started doing specials one of which being the blueberry margarita. Outstanding. The service was fast and efficient our waitress did a great job answering our questions and making recommendations. When I had mono in college and the most swollen throat of my life- Posadas refried beans cured me. When I had a craving for an al pastor burrito bowl- posada filled that missing piece. Look up, because If you're walking by, you might blink and miss the misleadingly simple sign. Step through the door and downstairs into the colorful and brightly lit restaurant with interesting decor. Comfortable booths and "nook-like" seating arrangements make it a lovely place to be with family and hear each other. The menu was organized well, with clear descriptions of the food. Unfortunately, NO CHIPS AND SALSA pre-meal automatically knocks a star off of the review. All of the dinners came out very quickly, and while the squirt bottle sour cream looks cool, it's just not as tasty as a big dollop on the side so maybe rethink that? Everything tasted delicious, and I always love a good enchilada sauce. Some people might complain that there wasn't enough heat to the meal, but I don't mind mild Mexican food. There were some interesting cocktails, but many made with a prefab mix, that I don't usually go for, so I opted for the Cadillac margarita which was quite delicious. Going back to the menu, one of the nice things, is that when you travel with people with dietary restrictions, they have bowl options to the burritos and you can use a combination of things that are easily picked out. Our group of 7 visited Posada Grill for lunch and we loved it! We were seated immediately in a private room with a large table. Our waitress was very efficient and quickly took our drink orders. The margaritas were large, strong, and flavorful - just the we wanted them! We all ordered entrees and between the seven of us, we had tacos, burritos, tamales, and bowls. Every single one of us devoured our meals, and the portions and flavors were outstanding. Prices were as expected, and the restaurant's decor and atmosphere were very fun. Quite good! Very tasty Tex Mex experience in the heart of Greenfield. The ambiance was nice! I wonder about handi-capable access, as there was a descending flight of stairs to get in, but generally speaking it was well appointed and had enough space per table to not feel cramped. I love well made Tex-Mex food. Posada has an extensive menu of delicious choices. We've been here 4 or 5 times and everything we've had has been great. We visited Posada before they moved to Greenfield. The new place is great. The decor is really nice and there is a full bar. Our server was very attentive. We ordered the house nachos. Ask for them! They are not on the menu, but they we worth it. I ordered the carnitas dinner plate which was excellent and washed it all down with a Modelo Negro. Arrived Thursday at 6:30 to packed house - obviously a popular place. 5 stars for ambiance, decor, service, and food quality. Four stars rounded up because they regretfully had to inform us they were OUT OF GUACAMOLE. But I got around it by ordering a dish with avocado. I had a very simple to-go order: small house nachos with chicken. When I got home I was disappointed to see that there was no avocado. I went back and looked at the menu and sure enough, it was supposed to have avocado. I wasn't thrilled that I would've had to pay extra just to get salsa on it but I was seriously disappointed about the avocado. There was a lot of refried beans, some chicken and a little sour cream drizzled over a scant amount of chips. If I go again, I'll be sure to check my order before I leave to see that everything is there that should be. read more

The goofy stereotypical decor may deceive you, but this place actually does a good job of making good authentic Mexican food. Their menu offers a wide selection of Mexican staples. I hate to give a bad review because I'm really hoping this place does well but in the last 5 months we've had some bad experiences. I'm hoping they get the original standard back up. Loved Posada when they first opened but as of late the quality of the food and cleanliness has gone down. Got take out last week and my girlfriend got food poisoning from the beef tacos. She was super sick for two days and won't be going back. Then the last two times I had the enchiladas, the cheap cheese they over use in those was indigestible. When we tried to eat in the bar there's an over powering smell of cleaning solution in the place, so we went outside and were hit with the sewage smell outside. I'm not the only one whose noticed the change. We live in the area and friends of ours are also disappointed. Hey Posada get the quality back up and we'll gladly come back. read more

Delicious and nutritious! We had catering from Posada and we're so impressed. We were able to feed 30 people and had left over. We had enchiladas, mole, yucca, pico and guacamole. Some of the best Mexican food I have had outside the West. The margarita was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. The mole sauce was flavorful and bold, the enchiladas were melt in your mouth with tender meat and perfectly melted cheese inside sweet corn tortillas, and the rice and beans tasted fantastic as well. I was in the area today and was looking to have a light lunch, found this place and thought to have a couple of tacos. When I called the restaurant to ask if they sold tacos individually the girl who answered the phone said "yes". She said that I could forgo the rice and beans from the platter and would have "some money taken of the 11.99 price". She also said that I could have two toppings on my tacos but never said I was getting a replacement for the rice and beans. So when I went to pick up my order I was charged the full 11.99 plus tax. The tacos that I got are not worth $12. They were very small, barely had any meat and the tortillas were so thin they totally broke apart. I really hate writing negative reviews, but when I called to let them know about the disappointment, the girl on the phone was not really helpful and or did not offered any way to compensate the situation. read more

This evening's lesson: don't underestimate a Mexican/Salvadoran place set in the middle of the woods. The Posada Grill - if we had not had the map directions on, we would have missed it. Masks are required as per local mandate, but when we walked in, we were immediately welcomed like locals. It's clean, has a great, laid-back casual vibe and, the best thing, great flavors for a really great price (Google reviews rated its prices at $ out of a possible $$$$$). Edison has a penchant for yucca, so he ordered yucca frita. I'm not much a French fry eater, and if I closed my eyes, I would have mistaken them; they were the perfectly salted and had good flavor. Tom's entree was a chicken burrito, chocked with black beans, rice, peppers, onions, cheese... and he bravely asked for the Mexican salsa with the spice rating. I ordered fish tacos, perfect with a pickled red cabbage and lime; not as brave, I opted for the chipotle salsa (), which was perfect. Next time we go, Kristen - who also loves fish tacos - will have to go along too. Anyone who knows Tom knows that he will not suffer a flan to live; so per his personal idiom, he ordered that for dessert. He reports the perfect custard, and thoroughly enjoyed it. And I l-o-v-e churros... and the churros they brought delicioso. So: we'll go back, and we'll drag the fam with us next time! read more
