Visited a few weeks ago with a friend and we really enjoyed our meals. This is definitely not somewhere you go to eat when you're in a rush. The server was really nice but it was laid back experience and gave us a chance to fully enjoy the bread, drinks, and then appetizers before our entrees came out. My salmon was cooked really well and my friend's chicken pasta dish was insanely big. We enjoyed wine with our meals and ended with decaf espressos.

Exceptional service and exquisite cuisine! I had the 24 oz Ribeye with mashed potatoes and asparagus and I couldn't be more satisfied. Excellent quality/quantity to price ratio. Also great wine selection. Nice and welcoming atmosphere that goes hand to hand with the gastronomic experience.

We had to try Douro's outdoor patio and it was great! Spacious and private without feeling in the middle of the city. I tried the Portuguese steak and hubby tried the Mozambique chicken and both were flavorful and delicious. Red wine sangria was very good! You MUST try. Our server was right on point and attentive. We recommend to everyone we know. We highly recommend!

Having lived in Fall River for almost 20 years, sometimes I forget that there are delicious spots right here at home. My boyfriend took me to Douro for Valentine's Day, and the menu did not diaappoint! We got drinks at the bar as we waited to be seated, both were top notch. For our meal, we had the white cheese plate and I got tithe lobster ravioli and he, the Portuguese filet mignon. We shared some Brussels sprouts and mashed for sides. Everything was delicious! Our waiter Eddy was awesome and inviting. I would definitely recommend Douro/Townehouse to anyone for their next dat

We went after seeing them listed as a participant in the Fall River Restaurant Weeks website. They were able to accommodate my handicap with good parking even though there is VERY limited parking. We ordered very different combinations, but for my dinner, I wanted my Portuguese Steak cooked blue, or very rare. When it arrived, unfortunately, it was more than medium. So, I sent it back, and luckily our waiter, who did have trouble communicating with us throughout the evening, got the issue resolved and my Steak was delivered to perfection. Everything else was spectacular, too. Bravo!

    Sangría is great!

Food was awesome. Ate outside in their patio. Great atmosphere even just walking thru the restaurant. Service was awesome. Everyone was very amicable. Anderson our server was awesome. Highly recommend this spot.

The food tasted uninspired, the cauliflower was borderline raw huge chunks, the chicken piccata was watery, the swordfish was half dry half moist?, the fries sat in oil for too long and had no crisp, the steak tips and mashed potato just lack of flavor. The service was super slow ( there was maybe 3 tables and 2 people at the bar), we were there for over 2 hours. I couldn't see myself come back, I'd rather support a local establishment

The first bite of the zuppa gave me that unforgettable food-critic moment from Ratatouille--one taste instantly transported me back to my childhood and all the wonderful memories of enjoying Victor's cooking with my family. The clams were incredibly fresh, and the rich, flavorful sauce was perfect for soaking up with the garlic bread. Just as my mother always did, I saved some of the zuppa sauce and spooned it over my pasta. The red clam sauce was outstanding--deeply flavorful, perfectly seasoned and filled with fresh seafood. Everything tasted as though it had been prepared with genuine care and decades of experience. Having spent my own career as a Certified Executive Chef and restaurateur, I understand the work behind food of this quality. Victor and Judy delivered an exceptional meal, especially considering they had only celebrated their grand opening the day before. If this first experience is any indication of what is ahead, the new Liberal Club is going to become one of Fall River's most talked-about dining destinations. I'm already looking forward to returning and trying more of the menu.

They have a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wine. They have an enormous menu with a variety of appetizers, burgers, salads, and entrees. They also have a "specials" sheet featuring rotating specials. We ordered their fried string beans and some Caesar salads to start. Both were very good. My wife had chicken parmigiana for her entree, our friends had salmon and cod, and I had the whole belly fried clam plate (YAY!). The portions were GENEROUS. My wife's chicken parmigiana was enough for three people. Best of all, my order of clams was enormous and perfectly made. I am a complete snob when it comes to fried clams. I rarely get them, and I can say that these were among the best I have had anywhere. Price and value were excellent. We said we would be back, and we made that official. Our second visit was just as good as the first. I had a beautifully prepared Prime Rib and my wife had salmon. Don't be like us and wait 15 years. Give this place a try ASAP.

That's the kind of service you don't forget. The food was exceptional. Every special request was perfect--even the extra crispy bacon.
