Dined with the family at 110 Grill in Fall River, MA yesterday. They take celiac gluten-free seriously and any dish can be made gluten-free. No gluten ever goes in their fryer. They're a chain all over MA and RI with some NY locations upstate. We opted to dine indoors. Huge location with an open kitchen. Staff very friendly, attentive and keen to please especially with dietary restrictions. Ordered burgers, firecracker shrimp, calamari, sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts and some Oreo ice cream dessert. Private free parking lot at the mall. Like nearly every restaurant in RI and MA, they've got a loyalty program. Scored a free huge dessert plus $10 off reward. Loved the burger and fries. Sprouts were too salty. Everyone enjoyed their time here. No one rushed us out on a Saturday evening. read more

Food was great. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was hot and tasty as always. Highly recommend. The servers did their absolute best to keep up. I do not fault them one bit. The bartender was working hard. He had a full bar of customers and many diners to try to keep up with. Here is the problem. We were there at 5:30 on New Year's Eve...and I know it is a busy night...but this was 5:30 and I ordered a double espresso martini...only for the server to come by after about ten minutes and apologetically tell us that we could not have that because the bar was out of Kaluha and Baileys!!!! I mean really ... at 5:30 on New Years Eve? One may think it unreasonable to be a bit miffed that a bar would have run out of two bar staples so early on New Year's Eve...but I over heard the server telling another table that they had run out of Sprite too. Well ok, so I ordered a martini from their seasonal menu as I had just seen one served at the next table and it looked great. We received our meals served by the kitchen staff in short order , but still no martini. Finally the server came by to apologize but she was still waiting for my drink. By then I had her cancel the drink ordered altogether. Now mind you, I do not fault the staff. I think there was just two servers and one bartender on duty. But, this is where good management would have stepped in and assisted them. As to the shortage of beverages...well all I can say is that there is a Market Basket and a Liquor store in the very same plaza as the 110 Grill. In my humble opinion, a good manager would have made a purchase or two from the readily available retailers nearby, especially on a busy night. I did observe the manager standing by the kitchen window (presumably monitoring timeliness of the food orders). But still, I find it hard to believe the lack of bar supplies. Perhaps the manager could have pitched in and helped the overworked bartender, or attended to his needs. Now, I know that bars and restaurants depend on liquor distributors, and maybe this was a one off. At the same time, I also know that liquor sales are a high mark up item, so a little creative thinking would have gone a long way to making for happy customers. Again, the food was excellent, the service was the best it could be under the circumstances. Management, however could use some improvement. read more

Honestly I hadn't been this unimpressed by a restaurant in a while. Positives, the server friendly, food "looked" good, the restaurant was clean. The rest. The food tasted uninspired, the cauliflower was borderline raw huge chunks, the chicken piccata was watery, the swordfish was half dry half moist?, the fries sat in oil for too long and had no crisp, the steak tips and mashed potato just lack of flavor. Came on National Burger Day and was hype to see they had Beyond Beef burgers available -- major win if you don't eat red meat. The food was solid though a little pricier than it's really worth. The outdoor seating is a whole vibe with a sleek fire pit that's straight out of a rapper's photo shoot. Bonus: There's a theatre, stores, and a grocery spot right next door. read more

Great systems with online reservations and excellent food and service. The drawback on my last visit was the sequence of preparation for my table. I noticed a burger sitting under a heat lamp for 10 minutes. While waiting for a flatbread. The food was prepared correctly, though asked for a fresh order of fries as the fries were cold. The bottom of the burger was soggy from sitting so long, but I didn't want to send it backs For a slow night. This should have be routine. For a $17-18 burger, shouldn't happen. Gnocchi was really good, the sauce was a little greasy but had good flavor. I really loved the arugula and the big flakes of parmesan cheese , the flavor went really well with the gnocchi and bolognese sauce. Chicken piccata was really good. Chicken was very crispy and sauce had a strong lemon flavor . Bourbon smash was perfect ball as nice of tart and sweet. The lemon sorbet was really good the berries were some of the best I had in a dessert. Service was pretty good but from my booth I could tell some sort of drama was happening between the staff. But I always love a dinner and show , so it didn't ruin our evening. My dessert came out way late. They brought my wife her dessert espresso and I got nothing. She finished her espresso and still no lemon sorbet . My waitress finally went to see what the hold up was and my dessert came out and it was totally worth the wait . Without me ever saying anything or complaining, my waitress informed me my dessert would be taken off the bill. Several of us in our group ordered the special (trout with crab stuffing). The seafood was ok but the side of asparagus was dried, shriveled and burnt. We didn't complain during the meal but did let the waitress know the asparagus was inedible before we left. My main complaint is that the waitress told us that they knew the side was inedible but were told by their supervisors to serve it anyway. That's unacceptable...! It's OK to have occasional problems in the kitchen with food prep, it's NOT OK to knowingly server bad food hoping that no one will complain about it. read more

Absolute terrible experience. Honey Hot Chicken Sandwich tasted like it was fried in 10 month old oil, steak looked like it was cooked in a microwave, bbq chicken nachos came out without chicken.. if you're in the area steer clear.. the General Manager of the place was hosting seating guests but as an ex restaurant employee if your cooking staff is lacking this much discipline then you need to be in the kitchen helping your restaurant. Service is always amazing with the wait staff. Food continues to lack. As you can see, a few days ago I ordered their "sword fish steak". Cost $27 and with two sides. Granted I only requested for one side, I did not assume that the steak was less than the palm of my hand Ans thinner than my finger.. ie, less than 1/2 inch. Used to be a sure thing, and we went a few times a month. Most of the food is good, but the desserts aren't worth it. We went to have the apps we knew we'd like and then take a chance on the main entrees. They got rid of the Totchoes (sp?), and we haven't really been back, and my gluten free friends won't go back because they got rid of the gluten free rolls. The staff is really good, but that doesn't make up for the lack of food. The fish tacos are good: nicely fried but lacking in flavor. The flatbreads are good. Salmon was awful. Burgers are fine, but I can get a better one elsewhere so without the apps we like it's pointless. No longer the group gathering place despite the convenience. read more

Every time I have gone to 110 Grill it was terrible. No matter during the week, the slow time, or the busy Friday and Saturday nights; it always sucked. The servers would try their best, but I don't appreciate when they're all standing on their phones while we're waiting for some one to come over. My last experience there I was sitting at the bar. After waiting for almost an hour for my food, it came out cold and not even cooked. How can someone mess up a grilled cheese and tomato soup ? Well they did. Not only was my food cold, but I saw everyone at the bar complaining their food was cold. Meanwhile, there was two dozen plates at the kitchen window waiting to go out. If you want to be made to feel guilty for the restaurant not having your confirmed your reservation, wait 1.5 hrs for your food, have a $44 NY strip that looked like it came off the grill at Mc. Donald's (PS NY strip at Capital Grill is only $7 more and WAY better, save yourself...), be up-charged $6 for a side salad over steamed veggies, have your dinner plate look like it was reused with questionable drippings on it, and have 4 year old wait 20 minutes longer than everyone else for 1/3 lb of grilled chicken, this place is for you. Honestly we go out to eat very frequently to all varieties and price points. This was the most terrible meal we have had in a long time. I was expecting it to be basic and have eaten here several times before with nothing but positive feedback but this was next level awful. Half the food was definitely sitting around for 20 minutes at least. You know how pasta looks when the sauce has just been sitting on it for too long? Crusty and dry? Oh and that $6 upcharge side salad was so soggy it was inedible. We left it behind, brown, rotting lettuce and all. Photo for dramatic effect. Leaving 2 stars at the waitress tried.... Also had a gluten free menu. Food was good. Tasty and hot. Serving sizes were not enough to bring home. Ordered a drink from the menu and they were out. But they did charge me for it . Went to 110 Grill for Mothers Day Brunch. We sat at the bar (no reservations needed for the bar) where there was plenty of room. The tables in the restaurant were full and busy but not overwhelming. We were greeted promptly and we ordered cocktails: White Cranberry Sangria for my daughter, Old Fashioned for me and Coke (refills included) for my husband. For food daughter and shared the Lemon Beignets, served in a wire basket, which included raspberry and caramel dipping sauce) which were wonderful and the Firecracker Shrimp app which was spicy and very flavorful. Hubs had the Fish and Chips - light battered, crisp and included a small basket of fries. We had a great time and the vibe of the place was relaxed. How many times have you been to a restaurant and discovered a new easy dish to make? Well in this case, I have been making crab Rangoon for about 3 decades, which is kinda a pain, but it never occurred to me to just make it as a dip, like they do here, which I will from now forward! Except I will be serving it with tortilla chips or toasted pita bread, they served it with pita bread wedges, kettle chips and celery sticks. Also their in house baked rolls and housemade garlic butter were the best! We also had the Philly (great!) and the basic burger (husband loved). Don't even get me started on the long handcrafted cocktails! I had the banana nut tini as a after dinner dessert! We went today for dinner, a group of four. We had reservations so we didn't have to wait. Server was good, and helpful. However, we had some issues with the food. First, we got two apps for our table. The bread bowl spinach dip - which tasted good, but there was no bread bowl, and the Tachos, which tasted good but were rather cold. We didn't say anything though, because it was whatever. Dinner - two people in our party ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, one with a side of fries & the sauce on the side, and the other with bacon on the sandwich & a side of brocolli. First they came out without any sides of sauces requested, and secondly the hot honey sauce itself was just not good. The side of broccoli was cold, and they didn't put the bacon on the sandwich. I myself got the Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The sandwich came out pretty much cold as though it had been done for thirty minutes before it came out. Not like warm, just cold. The fries were cold too. I never send anything back, but my boyfriend spoke up and sent it back because it was that cold. I was told they were remaking it - they didn't. It came back heated up, with my two bites out of it, with a side of regular fries. This was disappointing. They did realize and get me my ordered side. On top of this, the pork wasn't pulled. It was large, hard to eat chunks of pork Finally, we get the bill and my foods not even sort of discounted (fine whatever), but the bacon was on there and it wasn't even received. I had the worst experience at this 110 Grill. My daughter and I, both extremely gluten intolerant, ordered the gluten free hot honey chicken sandwich. Told the waitress that it was a severe allergy. The managers d another person brought food to us. Luckily my daughter was paying attention and said, mom you're isn't gluten free, there's no allergy stick and you have a different roll. I couldn't find my waitress or the manager so I flagged down another waitress that confirmed it was not gluten free. She got the manager who had a new meal made for me. By the time I got my meal my daughter was of course finished. I was still fine until after taking 2 bites of my sandwich and 4 onion strings, I started to get sick. I tried to find our waitress who again was nowhere to be found. I finally got her attention and asked for a box. At this point I just needed to get out of there. It took her about 10 minutes to come back with the box. By this time, I just handed her my credit card to pay as I was feeling really sick. She left to go ring us, I looked at the bill and I had been charged for 3 meals! She charged me for her screw up! This was an epic disaster! Yuck! Do not go here unless you want forgettable and bland food. I spent over $30 for a steak and it was just blah. They forgot the mushrooms and brought me them fresh from the refrigerator! My friend and I arrived about 3, place pretty empty, wouldn't expect differently during the week but this was Saturday. Server was very sweet, feel bad for her after our visit. We ordered the same dish, fish w. rice, broccoli for me, brussels sprouts for her. When the plates arrived, looked appetizing, then I noticed an obvious issue...she had about twice the fish portion I had, odd, didn't the kitchen notice? Called server over, she said, new piece coming. OK. Then my friend tried her fish, very salty. Very, as if a salt shaker had been tipped on top. The problem was in the topping so she scrapped it all off. I tried it just to be sure, and yup, it was inedible as is. She then tried her sprouts, hard as a rock, even w. sharp points. Obviously overcooked. Feeling pretty bad about now, hate criticizing restaurants as it my husband & I owned one for many years. Tough business. So we waited for her new sprouts & fish, me my fish. Brought to table as we were finishing what we could. My fish was fine, so weird. Now the mgr. comes by, we spoke for several minutes, the place is obviously having issues. These days, isn't everyone? After our short conversation, we really felt for him. Decided to try again in a couple of months, give them time to get their act together. Food was very good, but the professionalism and service needs some work. Service was very slow to get drinks and refills. When I asked what was the grape varietal of wine of their Iron and Sand special. They didn't know, they just told me the name again. It was delicious so I asked if they could look at the bottle. Finally did get the answer after a couple of tries. The biggest distraction for me however was being sat right in front of the open kitchen and watching the young cook with headphones in taking his phone in and out of his pocket every few minutes to use it and not washing his hands after doing so. Horrendous service and food. Took about 15 mins just for someone to come to ask us about water and another 15 to bring water. .. food took 45 minutes from when we ordered. So basically for an hour and 15 minutes we had no food .. when the food arrived nothing was cooked to order. Steak tips were well done when asked for medium.. chicken tenders undercooked (have contacted the Mass dept of health) and cheeseburgers without cheese. read more

Recently my husband was diagnosed with Celiac. The gluten free realm was something we never had to think about when dining out, but now it's a major setback. Honestly it can be disappointing when seeing how little other restaurants care or even take time to learn about food allergies. 110 Grill came up on so many must eat places for celiacs and I was so happy we have one not far from home. It's incredible that 95% of the menu can be made gluten free AND staff and managers are educated on allergies. We got take out tonight and my gluten-ful meal was delicious (though a tad disappointed on size of the sides, normally with takeout I have enough for another meal this was just one), and my husband was pleased with his gluten free meal. A consistently good restaurant in our rotation of date nights. When we don't feel like trying somewhere new and staying close to home we go here. Food is always excellent but service can be up and down. It's been incredibly slow service the last few times we've been, and it's never packed in there so I don't see why this constantly happens.
