Portuguese pizza & kids' meals. This week the kids meals are free! With this economy it is hard to treat our kids like we could 5 years ago so a place giving this deal for April vacation shows it really values family time.I absolutely loved that my kids could use etch a sketches, sit by the fire&color instead of being a screen kid with a video game pad on the table like some places have. The pizza was delicious with thick cheese and outstanding flavor. Service was excellent.

The Tipsy Toboggan isn't really a pizza place. It's a gastropub that happens to serve pizza. That distinction matters. The 10-inch pies landed somewhere between Greek-style and bar pie, though the execution didn't commit to either tradition. Toppings ran all the way to the edge. The crust was thicker than a classic bar pie cracker. Not bad ideas, just half-formed. The real problem was consistency. There wasn't any. Within a single pie, you'd get one slice with a perfectly golden undercarriage and another that was clearly underdone. The cheese distribution varied. The sauce appeared and disappeared almost at random. When you got a bit more of it, the flavor improved. Between the two pizzas we ordered, one wasn't better than the other. Just differently inconsistent. The plain cheese outperformed the pepperoni. The pepperoni itself wasn't memorable, but the cheese had moments where things came together. Usually in the thicker, better-cooked sections where the sauce happened to congregate. The vibes are awesome. They've decked it out in full holiday regalia. Paper snowflakes, rustic log railings, antler chandeliers dripping with ornaments, Moravian stars, that blue underglow lighting that photographs well. Mounted deer heads. A bear. It looks like a ski lodge designed by someone who commits to the bit, and I mean that as a compliment. The staff seemed nice when they materialized. The problem was the materializing. They need more bodies on the floor. When someone came by, they were friendly. The gaps between visits were long enough that you noticed. The Tipsy Toboggan does a lot of things. A creative gastropub menu, cocktails, live music, themed events, decorations that deserve their own review. Pizza isn't its calling card. Come for the vibes. Order the steak tips or the prime rib. The pizza is something they do, not something they do well.

We went to the Tipsy Toboggan last night and we absolutely loved it! The outside lights were so pretty, especially on a chilly night, and inside was cozy, warm, and there was a fire burning in the oversized fireplace. The bar is large and there is seating both upstairs and down. We were seated upstairs and it was very nicely decorated with throw pillows for our backs, beautiful star shaped lights, and also Halloween decor. The builkding reminds me of a lodge, with honey colored wood and a high ceiling. Jamie was our server and she was friendly, attentive, and she answered all of our questions. For our drink, we ordered the Temptation Bowl for Two, and we chose the cider sangria. The drink arrived in a large bowl, with a shot of 150 that was on fire. So cool! The sangria was delicious - This was a seasonal cider, but the temptation sangria is always on the menu. We ordered two pizzas - one with cheese and one with chourico. Both were really good with a thin crust and cheese all the way to the edge. The other items on the menu look amazing, so we will be going back to try them. Also, there are nightly specials such as prime rib night, shrimp night, and they care currently offering a Thanksgiving Dinner special on Monday nights. Lastly, I wanted to compliment The Tipsy Toboggan on their Veterans Day special. Last night was Veterans Day and they were giving all veterans a free meal. How awesome! Loved seeing so many veterans around me and know that they were being appreciated.

We stopped into The Tipsy Toboggan for RI Food Fights' "Lord of the Pies" event and were greeted with a warm, fun atmosphere that matched the cozy, lodge-style vibe of the place. We tried the Fall River Pizza, topped with chouriço, garlic, tomato sauce, pizza cheese, peppers, and scallions. It was delicious -- flavorful with a nice kick from the chouriço. The crust reminded us of a 'bar pie', though a bit thicker, and while the center was a touch soggy (likely from the generous toppings), the overall taste more than made up for it. To drink, we had a Canned Heat Double IPA. It was a little flat but still had good flavor and paired nicely with the pizza. Our bartender, who was also handling server duties, was friendly and attentive despite juggling a busy bar. Overall, The Tipsy Toboggan offered a great experience -- tasty pizza, solid local beer, and a fun, welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

We made a reservation for Prime Rib night on Wednesday. We were seated at our table within minutes. Arrived at 6:15 and only 4 servings of prime rib remaining . The place was beautifully decorated for Halloween inside and outside. It's too bad the weather wasn't warmer because it would be great to enjoy the courtyard. We started with the buffalo tenders.Prime rib arrived with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The prime rib was tasty but not the best or most tender I've had. Guess I shouldn't expect great when it's the special at $20. Pictures of food are not great due to lighting. We will return just not for any particular special. They also do a great Christmas display

The ambiance is at its best here when it's Christmas. I absolutely love the festive winter's decorations. Service here is always top notch , very friendly , quick, and informative . I have ordered many different items on the menu and have never had an issue with how it was cooked or the seasoning. Today was no different. Not only was my fish cooked perfectly but my portion size was huge. My wife's meal was also perfect. The meat was very tender and the vegetables were nice and el dente . My favorite place in Fall River !

Just stopped by for the RI Lord of the Wings. I wish it was a bone in wing but these boneless were we great! Loved both of the sauces, especially the hot honey which was not just a splash of mikes hot honey thankfully. The tenders were FRESH not frozen, which we love to see. Just another reason why tipsy rocks. Great service as always and love the decor. Even had a live band on a Sunday which was awesome. Always a great time here and must go to spot in Fall River

The service was great and the food good! I got the winter salmon with double mashed potatoes and subbed out the chef veggies which were squash and peppers. There was an orange and cranberry chutney on top that had good flavor but was mostly onions and not many cranberries. I got the bobbin for apples drink and I unfortunately did not like it :( it was strong and on the bitter side so I barely finished it and just licked off the yummy caramel drizzle around the rim! I was with about 9 people and they all seemed to enjoy the food but didn't say it was anything special. The entire restaurant was decorated for Christmas so it's definitely a good spot for some pictures!

    Chicken & Shrimp Mozambique

Was in the area and stopped in for a quick lunch. The place is unique as it has a lodge vibe, with a touch of pub thrown in. The waitresses are attentive and efficient. Both food and drinks came pretty quickly. I had the chicken and shrimp Mozambique. The sauce was good. The fries tasted like they were previously frozen, the shrimp and chicken were bland of themselves and really needed the sauce to provide flavor. The rice was a smaller grain rice that didn't help round out the dish. A little more seasoning on the proteins and a jasmine type of rice would have made the dish better. I'd give the place another try in the future but I can't say it wowed me.

We went here for "RI Food Fights" pizza month. Firstly the decor of this place is immaculate - it's cozy with wooden decor with a warm fireplace and high ceilings, with themed decorations visible from all seating areas. It's fun, kitschy and lighthearted. The service was also friendly, with frequent check ins. The food however was okay - the cheese pizza was boring and the Mozambique pizza was also simultaneously overloaded and underwhelming. I'm glad I was able to try to this place but probably wouldn't come back unless I was already in the area.

It's been years since we last came here. We no longer live super nearby so we end up picking other options. Tonight we remembered this spot and decided to come for an early dinner. They had live music and we were able to be seated right away (Sunday in March at 4:30). Our server was friendly, and took my husband's gluten allergy seriously, making a point to write it down. The menu was clear what options could be made gluten free. He got a cocktail and I got a Super Bock on draft. We were both pleased with our drinks. For entrees, I got the chicken Mozambique pizza. It was tasty, didn't quite hit my craving for chicken Mozambique, but it was a good option! My husband got the pot rot risotto and was super pleased with how tasty it was. We will be back soon. Great atmosphere, service and food.

While in town some locals recommended the Tipsy Toboggan for cocktails and appetizers. It was such a cute little place with a ski lodge vibe to it. There were so many cocktails to choose from, which they said the manager takes great pride in the cocktails and comes up with all of their names. We all tried different drinks and enjoyed them all. Also, highly recommend the no bake cheesecake. It was a different take on cheesecake, but was so tasty! Very fruity, so know that when ordering, but so good! We also happened to be there on a drag show night, so was fun to see different events they host!

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

The selection offered on their menu was excellent, and our server, Melanie, was just as great. She…read moreprovided a wonderful dining experience for our group. We were a party of seven, including three kids, and didn't even need a separate kids' menu--the options worked perfectly for everyone. The only drawback was the reservation experience. When we called ahead, we were told they were fully booked, yet when we walked in, there were multiple empty tables and we were seated promptly. That part was a bit odd.
