Tucked away in the corner of west main is another great little pub. Walking in wasn't expecting much. The staff super friendly and kind, offered different recs for sauces and options on the menu. Went with the teriyaki and sriracha garlic and wow they great! Might be my early winner of the RI Food Fights Wing Challenge. We love fresh wings, homemade sauces. It's nice to see a place like this do it right and many chains should take notes tho is how you do a wing! Not crazy crispy just enough, sauce doesn't over power the wing. RI Food Fight- Lord of the Wings 2025 Review: A pub behind a mini mall strip? I am interested! The Pub at 2 Mile Corner is like an elevated dive bar. They look like maybe recent renovations have removed them from that dive category. Large bar, pool, darts and a new age juke box. Check out the chalkboard wall next to the bar for food offerings. Some locals at the bar told us what direction we should head in. They suggested the Buffalo Cesar (WHAT?) and the Thai Peanut. We just had to try that Buffalo Cesar! It did not disappoint. Smothered in the sauce and served with parmesan cheese on top. The flavor was an interesting combo that was packed with flavor. I REALLY enjoyed this sauce. The wing was cooked as requested, well done. I have to say we were surrounded by patrons who were super friendly and made the experience that much better. We felt welcome. read more

The Pub at two mile corner is in an unusual location. It's off a very busy West Main road, tucked behind a strip of businesses. Don't let that deter you. It's a local gem. Probably the best wing selection on the island. There wings are amazing. Their hog wings are the star. They are big and juicy with the right amount of crisp. Most go for wings but the burger is a solid choice. It's delicious. The hot chicken sandwich is also not to be missed. It is a very causal place with a local following. Live music nights are fun and it's gets busy but not crowded. The staff are great. The bartenders are outgoing and pour great drinks. The pub is great to get away from the bustling of Newport and just chill and enjoy some food and drink. read more

A hard working man's bar that puts out hard working goods. The service here is impeccable. The food (notably the wings) are some of the best south of the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area. The atmosphere is rough and tough but with a soft interior, much like the region this pub is located in. I find it hard to believe most people have not heard of this pub. This place has had ups and downs. It is a locals spot, not big, not fancy and maybe kind of pricey. You have to know where it is - in the back of the parking lot behind the shops that face the street. You have to know that it's really small - finding a place to sit might be tough. You have to know that you need to order at the bar. There's usually only one person serving customers - she's going to be busy and has to spend her time behind the bar. If you sit at the bar you will be served without any issue and they'll take care of you in no time. If you're with a group and want a table then somebody has to go to the bar and order. Put some money in the juke box while you're at it. People talk about the wings: the wings are fine - but they used to be super. They've changed cooks or recipes over the years: a few years ago, the very hottest wings used to be a violent red color and really really hot. It was very exciting to eat them. However, on a more recent visit, I thought I'd gotten the wrong order because the very hottest wings that I used to enjoy had drastically changed. Now they had a clear sauce that tasted like sort of like spicy pickles. That is the best way I could describe it. They had mild heat if any. I asked if I'd gotten the wrong order and was informed that the flavor was correct. I thought it was really strange and decided to try again, so on another visit I ordered the hottest wings one more time and got the same pickle flavor things - I've learned not to order them anymore. Also, the draft beer was expensive - it wasn't any special imported beer or anything, but it was really high priced for some reason. So, what have I learned? The best way to enjoy this spot is to go there, if you like a good, local dive bar - which I actually do. Just mosey in, be friendly and take an available seat at the bar. Then order a bottle of regular, domestic beer and maybe a shot of whiskey. Also get some of the wings, just get anything other than the very hottest recipe and you'll be happy. And put some money in the juke box. read more

We headed to Middletown to The Pub at 2 Mile Corner for the @rifoodfights #lordofthewings challenge. I local pub with table games and electronic darts. We sat at the bar and ordered. I got the "hotter wings" that came recommended. My friend had the house dry rub. My wings had a nice spice. They told me it was made in house and was a bit spicier than a regular buffalo, and they were telling the truth. It had a nice flavor that was different from buffalo. Sriracha I think but couldn't be sure. Deep fried and made to order so it takes a little longer but that is ok with me! Kate's house dry rub had a nice salty flavor that I enjoyed even though I am not a dry rub fan. It was a nice way to cap off our visit to Aquidneck Island. read more

Going to have to update this as my recent experience wasn't quite well. The staff were (as always) spot on and the restaurant itself was just as I remembered it. There is just times when you are craving something specific and for me it was the hottest wings I could find. Called in and asked for their hottest wings and they were..: fruity is I all I can say. Nearly zero heat. Just sweet. I did go back in after having one and they gave me a cup of the hotter (not hottest) and it was better but still not what I was looking for. read more

This a a working man's bar. Or working woman. The people at the bar looked like they get shit done. I think the people that drink here are making life easier for someone. This is not a tourist bar, but do not let the rough look turn you away. This place has cold beer and solid wings. The bartender is a no joke kind of gal, slinging beer and serving food. Service/ambiance: was outstanding given the bar was already packed. From the moment I walked in the staff(older gentlemen and woman) greeted and asked me to "holler" once I was ready to order. Even during my time looking at the menu they followed up with me, showing they were still aware of me being there. The level of attentiveness from the staff of all their customers was outstanding! It's rare that a restaurant can get my order totally wrong and still get 5 stars! Just goes to show how delicious the food is here. But first - get the grape jelly and peanut butter burger! Buffalo, bbq and one flavor I couldn't identify. All were huge and fried up perfectly. Wish I would've gotten the flavors I ordered but they were super busy tonight, mistakes happen, we'll just have to try again next time! COVID stuff. I ordered online. Food was ready in about 25 mins. Walking into this place, I assumed the worst. It just looked like a standard neighborhood bar. With that being said, the ambiance wasn't great. However, the food was great pub food. I ordered the Speakeasy Burger and loved it. The steak fries aren't a typical steak fry either. They are more like really thick potato chips without the crunch. I don't know how I didn't review this place when I was there. We loved the bartenders. I had some of the best dry rub wings I ever had. It was laid back and a cool clientele. My wife enjoyed it as well. Service is good. It was super convenient to some of the neighboring hotels. I Iike meeting locals and I like not going to chains. First if your in a hurry prepare to wait. This is a cool little hidden treasure. The service was a little slow on a Wednesday but it was busy. The beer was cold and food was worth the wait I had the wings and tots. They were delicious and the wings were good sized not the mini wings from most chains. We tried this restaurant/pub because it's in the Newport County Diners Club book which gets you two for one meals throughout Newport County. We looked it up on Yelp first and we were intrigued by the reviews! So many positive and delicious sounding experiences. We went in on a rainy Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. Our bartender, blonde girl who knew all the words to the movies we watched at the bar and who doesn't normally work Saturdays, was friendly and attentive. Draft list was limited but they had great options: Proclamation, Cigar City, Whalers, etc. No music, instead, there were movies! We watched Grease & then Goonies. We had the tuna wantons with so many delicious sauces! The chicken Philly sandwich was fantastic! And the tater tots were perfect, not greasy. Burger was good. Cooked to order, generous toppings.
