Food/Drinks: My family and I came here to grab something to eat, and I'm not usually around this location, so this was a first for me. The food was delicious. My husband and I got the honey pepperoni pizza, and it was very delicious and huge pretty spicy too! We were able to take some home! My brother got a pulled pork burger, and he really liked it with his fries. Pretty sure he also got loaded fries. He enjoyed it so much he didn't leave not one crumb on his plate, lol. My cousin also got a hamburger and fries, and she thought it was delicious! They also got beers, and everything was pretty good and fairly priced. When I'm around this area, I'm definitely going to come back to this location due to the food itself. Location: This location is huge, and it had inside and outside seating with lots of tables! It's pretty casual, more so a sports bar-type of setting. Pretty nice to bring family and friends to grab a bite or even go on a casual date. They also had private parking, which makes things a lot easier! Service: Service was great. Last night we hit the Mews for an early dinner and we had good service. We entered the restaurant through the Tavern side and it was a bit loud, so we marched down to the hostess station to get a table in the more calm space of the restaurant. I got a small house salad with grilled Mahi Mahi on top (no salt added). My husband got the soba noodles and a side caesar salad. Mine was good and perfectly made, I devoured my entire Mahi salad. My husband's noodle dish was very salty...something to keep in mind...the good thing was that the noodles were soba, so they were mostly buckwheat flour, which is better for you. I went here last night and it's a super cute spot. It's real big too. It's a whole vibe from the dog house table to the dollar bar room to the giant tree. Def a fun spot! I found the prices to be a bit high. My best friend has a gluten allergy so to get a side salad instead of fries (she can't have them due to cross contamination) and a GF bun it added like $6-8 to her meals cost. A long time staple of Wakefield, Mews is always busy. I still remember going here when I was in my 20s and not much has really changed. The staff are well-trained, friendly and really attentive. The beer menu is about as good as it gets down in south county and is constantly rotating for the connoisseurs. I like that they keep families in one area and the bar area as 21+. It's clean inside and so are the bathrooms. The bad news is the food is kinda meh. First glance of the menu looks perfect as far as selection but where it fails is the execution. The fried food tastes of cheap oils, the smoked meats are dry and compensated with extra condiments and the nachos are packed together like bricks and mortar. It's disappointing because everything else here is so well done that you expect it to be slightly better. Overall, it's a really great place but just don't expect high quality food. read more

Honestly one of the color atmosphere's I've seen in a while! Loved the story behind the dollar bills up front! The server was kind and knowledge and definitely provided great recommendations for drinks and beer! The chipotle maple wings I'd drive down for again for sure! We wanted to eat before going to the theatre down the street to watch Miss Bennet, so we chose this bar/restaurant. So happy they have a bar area where you don't have to wait long for a seat, especially bc I have bad hips. Fun atmosphere and very friendly staff all around, they are super busy so don't expect quick food or drinks. However, once you do get your food or drinks, you will be as astounded as we were! I love fried pickles and these didn't disappoint, but the classic burger and the chicken sandwich that my husband ordered... I was like wow ! Very delicious and full of flavor! The fries were normal I did add salt but the curly fries were delicious but he got the bottom of the bag or something bc they weren't curly just small pieces that thankfully were still tasty. I had the Mews margarita and 1 was upgraded to patron silver (extra $5) and the other was standard ($10) and both were delicious but if you want it to be really delicious and you love patron silver, I recommend you pay the extra money for an impeccable upgrade! Such a cool interior of a fun old building with woodsy characters. Bodie was a welcoming server and the drinks were tasty, especially the pina colada. Friends key lime martini was bit too sweet. Had lunch with friends from out of town and we had a great experience. Service was perfect. Our server was attentive, but not overbearing. We never felt rushed. Know that they have an extensive beer selection and the menu is quite plentiful. My BF and I both opted for burgers that were absolutely delicious!! I had the fabulous Tangled Up in Blue Burger with Carmelized onions Gorgonzola blue cheese mayo on brioche (asked that they not include the French onion straws) It was fabulously wonderful. I don't eat a lot of bread and had to try the brioche which was a great touch for this burger. I had the side salad with vinaigrette dressing which was a very nice compliment to this burger My BF got the Smokeout burger with fries and really enjoyed his meal. This is such a Rhode Island classic. I love the Mews and I enjoy going with friends. Definitely expect a wait time if you don't have a reservation and also sometimes you have to wait even if you do have one. What a great place. We have been coming here since I was a kid. Many fond memories of college times here too ! A while back parking was an issue but there was lots of it this time so that seems to have been resolved. A beautiful outdoor area was constructed recently and it looks amazing. It's always nice to be able to sit outside when the weather permits. As always the staff is stellar. On top of drinks and foods. Many many many beers on tap. Local and some hard to find. I recommend a flight. The menu is also huge. If you don't find something you like then you are too picky to eat out. I had a blue cheese burger. It was huge and cooked perfectly. A side of tots completed the meal. It's always a great stop For dinner , just bear in mind on weekends when college is in full swing there may be a wait. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES I have celiac disease and always inform my server of the severity of such. Not only are the GF options super limited, but on two separate occasions I was brought a sandwich on regular bread and assured it was gluten free, only for a server to come back with the *actual* gf sandwich. Another time, I requested fries on a separate plate as they would cross-contaminate my food. The fries were on my plate. Sent it back and asked if it could be remande and they just took the fries off the plate and gave it back. You could still see the fry crumbs on my plate. I used to come to the Mews all the time when I lived in Narragansett. I came for the first time in years recently with a very large group. Despite not taking reservations I called ahead and they were able to accommodate us quickly when we arrived. We were sat at a very large table in the tree room, and service was good given our party size. We were all super happy with our apps and entrees. I ordered nachos, Buffalo chicken dip, and Brussel sprouts for the table, and the peanut noodles for myself. Great list of beers and cocktails. I had lunch at Mews this weekend with my 2 adult sons. Our servier Cassie at the upstairs bar was great. She was very attentive and has a bubbly, friendly personality. We ordered the fried pickles and my 1 son had the french onion soup. They were both very good. My french onion soup is better, but my son still enjoyed it. He had the pastrami sandwich and my other son and I had the Mahi fish tacos.......disappointing to say the least. Neither one of us finished our meal. In fact we didn't even finish 1 of the 2 tacos. It had no flavor at all, absolutely none. My son did say he liked his pastrami sandwich, but he said he has had better. I would give them another try as we do frequent this establishment. Great place to go for good food and drinks in a non fancy atmosphere. The only compliment that i have is the burger i ordered did not state that it cane with lettuce and tomato and it had it on it. I do not like that, and i would have asked for none of it if i knew. Wish they would have stated that it came on the burger. We were went here for lunch and were seated near the pizza oven where it smelled delicious our entire stay, and not too hot. All booths are wooden with no cushions on them, this gives the restaurant a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was busy but not overwhelming, we waited about 10 mins for our table before seated. Our sever was excellent, friendly and quick to notice our empty glasses. We got right to our entrées and was I glad we did, our order was correct and so delicious!! Mews Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants in RI. I love their expansive menu, draft beer, and the expansive set up of the restaurant. Mews is divided into three parts all with their own feel. Downstairs is the dollar bar which is 21+. The dollar bar is covered in dollar bills and has more of a pub feel to it than the other parts. There isn't a wait list for this part of the restaurant so I always try to come here first! The main tavern is also great, but they can get quite busy on weekends so try and join the Yelp waitlist ahead of time if you can! The food is also very good. They have something for everyone on their expansive menu. From burgers, to pizzas, to rice based bowls your party is sure to find something that everyone will enjoy! read more

Great location, great service, and wonderful atmosphere once you get inside. Parking was easy as there is a parking lot next to the building. I've been coming here for over 20 years and it's always been consistently good! As a college student, it was a fun spot to go with friends for drinks, and now that I live in town with my family, it's our favorite spot to go with our kids. The menu really has something for everyone, and the portion sizes are great. We always put a calamari app order in right away, and it comes out fast so my kiddos stay happy. The pizzas are always tasty, the burgers are great, and my new favorite are the brisket tacos.
