5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting (dog friendly) outdoor space, accessibility to some good food, and (of course) some quality beers. Tower Hill is two for three - I really can't comment on the food aspect, but they do link available BYO options that will deliver to the brewery. We just didn't order anything. The bartender was excellent - friendly and helpful and knowledgable on the beers offered. His opinions of the beers in the flight I tried matched my own. He definitely added to the overall experience. They're situated in a business plaza and their outdoor area is a row of parking stalls that they walled off and set up picnic tables, comfortable chairs, and corn hole with some outdoor carpeting that made the aesthetic a bit more inviting. They also have quite a few events on their calendar including trivia nights and live music which is what pushed them into the five-star range for me. I had to think about this rating since I live about and 8-hour drive from them, but next time we visit New England, I intend to try to convince Mama to make South Kingstown a waypoint so we can try the food options, enjoy the entertainment, and be able to more thoroughly enjoy the beer offerings without having to think about making a long drive afterwards. So yeah, if it ends up being an hour out of our way, I'll still try to convince her to add Tower Hill to the itinerary! My rating scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here read more

Tower Hill Brewing - Beers on the patio - Breweries Near Me - South Kingstown, Rhode Island

We will never turn down the chance to continue a birthday celebration, so after dinner in Narragansett, we headed over to Tower Hill Brewing to keep hubby's birthday festivities going! The birthday boy enjoyed his free birthday beer (one of the many perks of celebrating at Tower Hill), while I opted for a flight featuring Boss Light, New Zealand Pilsner, Black Point & a refreshing passionfruit hard seltzer. It was a great way to sample a variety of styles & I enjoyed all of them. As if great beer was not enough, we were treated to live entertainment by a traditional pickin' & grinnin' acoustic jam band. Calling it a band hardly does it justice - there were at least 20 musicians! Guitars, banjos, fiddles, mandolins... the room was filled with incredible talent & toe-tapping tunes. It felt less like watching a performance & more like being part of an old-fashioned musical gathering. Between the delicious brews, the lively music & the festive birthday vibes, it was the perfect way to cap off the evening. We will definitely be back for another pint & hopefully another jam session! Highly recommend. NOM NOM NOM... well, in this case, SIP SIP SIP #YUM read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Tower Hill Brewing. Tower Hill has an extensive selection of beers including pale ales, stouts, sours, pilsners, and blonde ales. The brewery is clean and has ample seating. The taproom had a stage, so I'm guessing they have live performances and I noticed a nice little outdoor patio. The staff were friendly and efficient. Tower Hill is located in the Village at South County Commons, which has restaurants, coffee shops, and a movie theater. read more

I had a fantastic first visit to Tower Hill Brewing! I was in the area picking up Jayd Bun for lunch, and since it's a takeout-only spot pretty far from home, I needed to decide which local brewery or distillery to check out nearby. They all encourage you to bring or order food, so it was a bit of a tough choice, but Tower Hill Brewing, located at South County Commons, had plenty of parking and lots of seating, making it a great pick. If I hadn't already grabbed food, I could've ordered from local spots like Applebee's, a Thai restaurant, or others that deliver right to the brewery. They have a great selection of beers--everything from English Pale Ales to IPAs, Stouts, Dunkels, and even Sours. You can either get a flight or a full pour. Prices vary by beer: 5 oz pours were around $3-$4, 12 oz pours were $7-$8, and 16 oz pours went for $8-$9. Menus were available on most of the tables, and there were clear signs near the bar for ordering. I went with the "Good Knows Beans," a 5% ABV coffee stout, and it was absolutely delicious! The ambiance was perfect--big windows on two walls let in lots of natural light, and there's plenty of seating, from high tops to traditional tables and even a cozy corner with upholstered chairs. String lights added a nice touch, and there were games like giant Jenga to keep things fun. Flat screen TVs lined one wall with all the sports games streaming. The vibe was super welcoming, with people chatting at the bar, a group celebrating a birthday, and families and friends hanging out. It's definitely a place where there's a little something for everyone. read more

This is the perfect spot to come and grab a quick drink before heading next door to the cinema or one of the many amazing small restaurants in the South County Commons area. I love how friendly and warm the atmosphere was. You simply belly up to the bar (plenty of seats in the roomy interior), and take your pick from one of the several delicious craft creations on tap. While they do not have a food menu, they welcome guests to bring takeout from the aforementioned nearby establishments, and we saw plenty of pizza boxes and Thai trays at neighboring tables. While we didn't have enough time to take advantage of this great added benefit, we certainly will next time! This seems to also be an excellent spot to take in a game on one of the many large LCD TVs, play cornhole or board games, or simply just kick back and relax with friends over a few curated beverages. This is just the casual and laid back spot you'll want to check out this winter. We will definitely be back! read more

Well, I'm finally back to my brewery tour. And of course I love the dark beers. Today I had a Porter and my husband had an imperial stout. My porter was delicious and nuanced. My husband's Imperial Stout was raspberry forward, so think dessert. Our pourer was personable and knowledgeable. read more

A great addition to South County Commons is a craft brewery with tasting room. Situated across from the movie theater and several hotels, this is a great adult option for rainy days or unwinding instead of staying at your hotel room. The beer was decent, and in the context of a new establishment, actually pretty good. I had the peach sour (Edith) and found it a solid sour beer. Bring your own food and entertainment provided (think board games and large Jenga) inside is new if non descript with several bar seats and televisions for sport games. read more

This is a great place to have a beer! The brewery is located conveniently off route 1, easy to get to. They have many options to choose from. When I was there a few days ago, they had 12 choices. They do flights if you want to try different ones. I had 6 off the bets there and they were all very good. There's an outdoor area with Cornhole. The inside has a place for a band to do live music. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend! read more

We just went for the first time, they opened in March. Their location is great, nestled in South County Commons. This place is a perfect hangout with friends. They have several large TVs, cornhole, and various other board games. They also have a lounge area with a sofa and armchairs. There's a mixture of high top and low top tables. They don't serve food, will bring food to you, so that's very convenient. They had a large variety of beers on tap. I love the fact that they are all made in house. We really enjoyed our experience, and the bartender was super knowledgeable and friendly. read more

My first visit to Rhode Island's newest brewery, so naturally I started with a flight. The red ipa caught me by surprise in the best way. I enjoyed it immensely. Other beers were good overall. Lots of tables both low and high, though if you're going low just know sharing is caring as the low tops accommodate multiple groups per table. Service was friendly and efficient, and the menu was easy to read. Something to note regarding the space itself is that it is quite cavernous and open, and as a result it is extremely loud! Like VERY loud. No food on site but they encourage BYOF and there are plenty of options in the center. read more

We just held a 'Welcome Party' for the night before our son's wedding at Tower Hill Brewery. Over a hundred guests and the night could not have gone better!!! Wood River Health hosted our first Music Bingo fundraiser at Tower Hill Brewing on March 6, 2025 and we are tremendously grateful to Christy and her cracker jack team for making it such a successful event. They were helpful every step of the way, from promoting the event, to recommending the caterer, to making sure everything was ready to go when we arrived. This made event orchestration a breeze on our end, which was so appreciated. Every staff member was courteous and capable - and the quality of the venue and the beer were appreciated by all. If you are thinking about holding a fundraiser, we encourage you to consider hosting it at Tower Hill Brewing. A great crew who go above and beyond for their guests. Thank you! I cannot say enough about Tower Hill Brewing. We kicked off our daughter's wedding weekend with a welcome party at THB and it could not have been better. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Christy the manager, Meg, Matt and the rest of the staff put the welcome in welcome party. Delicious food was catered by nearby Neapolis. Alessia and Adamo went above and beyond with scrumptious food and the two organizations worked together seamlessly. The THB staff let us decorate the space that was already warm and spotless and did all the clean up. It looked amazing. And our guests had a wonderful time. Truly the perfect kick off to our event weekend. I wish I had another event to hold at THB. Thank you to all involved. read more

It's time that the South County Commons best kept secret is out to the public! Tower Hill brewery is a great space to have a drink, or utilize the spacious taproom for any event. The owners are awesome and their general manager can make the space work for any occasion. It's on the way to the beach and local attractions, closest brewery to URI. I recommend the sour, it's by far the best I've had in a long time. 10/10 would go again! read more

Nice new establishment. However it's a bit loud. Hard to have a conversation. Maybe some noise panels on the ceiling

Great new brewery in South County. Amazing array of beer styles. We first got a flight which included South of the Tower(pale ale), Mosaic Veil (hazy pale ale) and the Coffee Infused Stout brewed with coffee beans from a local coffee roaster. Each was outstanding, but I went right for the 16oz Mosaic as a follow up. They don't serve food, but have QR codes on the tables which connects you to all the restaurants in South County Commons, all right around the brewery. We ordered wings from Neapolis, which is literally 100 feet from the back door of the brewery. within a few minutes, the wings arrived at our table, exactly like if we were in a restaurant itself. Amazing amazing wings. We got the dry rub and it was out of this world. We highly recommend visiting this new and fun brewery. Also, the staff was fantastic. Brianna was so friendly and Christy helped us with the beer styles. I can't wait to go back! read more

Exciting new location in South Kingstown. The IPAs were really good and explained great by the staff. We had a Hoppy Blonde and a Rise and Shine. The outside beer garden was a lot of fun playing cornhole and enjoying the rays. We had our family birthday party there for my uncles 82nd and all ages attended and had a great time The table set up perfectly for that and we brought in our own food and cake. Also I noticed comments here about it being loud in there but it wasn't loud at all. Just a fun vibe. read more
