Unfortunately proclamation closed its doors yesterday for good. We went the day before and they were out of growlers, and a ton of beers, (which is a great problem for them) I wish they would have had some growlers so we could have purchased more but it is what it is. The location was great, they had a good set up, they just needed to serve food, that's where the downfall Was. We often skipped going to proc because they didn't sell their own food and that's part of the brewery experience for me. Proclamation is hard to find but well worth it. The warehouse has great vibes and there is something fun for drinkers and non drinkers alike. There is pretty large brew menu and there are also some non beer options and even slushies. There are games and trivia on certain days, and additionally you can enjoy pinball at your leisure at any point. Proclamation is always worth a stop when I'm in the area. Your experience will start with arriving at a long entrance passing large solar arrays along the side followed by a security gate, and ultimately into a large shared parking lot with ample parking and a welcoming blue building facade. A food truck will often be outside, and there'll be some outdoor seating if the weather is decent. If the weather isn't good, the inside still offers tons of space to spread out and share some pints, grab a bite (from the vendor(s) present at the time or food you brought with you), play some games, and maybe play one of the free arcade games. Once ready to order some beer, you'll step in line where they'll have two menus on wall-mounted screens (one is drafts, the other is cans to go, I believe). There's also a separate "bottle list" if you're so inclined. Grab a pint or a sampler flight and start a tab, as you'll probably want more than one. Plenty of good stuff to be had. read more

Over the last six years, Proclamation has turned from a cool hangout space into a daycare, which is a bummer because the beer is good, the staff is awesome, the space is great but the last two times I've gone in there, it has been filled with toddlers, running amok and screaming. We went there on 10/18/25. We normally go every Friday depending on the food truck. We love the beers. When we walked in the smell was so puttered she couldn't stand it. We had to sit outside. It wasn't the brewery, but was coming from the ventilation system. Either way, it'll be a long time before I, we, go back. I love their brews. Made a unplanned stop here after walking at buttonwoods park - glad I did. Really cool atmosphere and the beer was very good. I got an ale with strawberries and rhubarb called "Pie Chart" ($8). It was smooth and refreshing. My mom got an oatmeal milk stout called "Broze" which was amazing. ($6) Great flavor. Proclamation Ale Company is a craft brewery that opened in West Kingston, Rhode Island in February 2014. It was founded by Dave Witham. A musician by trade, Witham originally taught lessons at private schools as well as for individuals. After getting into homebrewing, he had a dream of opening his own brewery with the purpose of providing delicious and exciting beer to a local market that was sick and tired of amber ales. Proclamation originally opened in a small space in West Kingston that was just shy of 2,000-square-feet and had a small 3-barrel brew system. The brewery quickly took off and soon outgrew its space. A larger 15,000-square-foot brewery with a 30-barrel system opened in Warwick in December 2017. Witham sadly passed away three years later after a battle with cancer. His widow Lori is now the owner of the brewery and she (along with the amazing staff) are continuing to keep his vision and legacy alive. My son and I recently visited Proclamation after we went on a long bike ride on the nearby Washington Secondary Bike Path. I've heard excellent things about the brewery for some time. They have a huge taproom with a small collection of vintage arcade cabinets and a large outdoor patio area. The brewery has a rotating schedule of food trucks, but they also have a snack cart set up (in partnership with Cranston-based Saugy Franks) where customers can buy gourmet hotdogs and other snacks. They had an excellent selection of different beer styles on draught during my visit. I decided to order short pours of "Tendril" (New England IPA), "Stalk" (Double New England IPA) and "(In)Significance" (Triple New England IPA). I loved them all; each beer was better than the previous one! I'm so happy that so many great craft breweries have been popping up in Rhode Island in recent years and Proclamation is no exception! We had one beer from Proclamation as that was only what time and opportunity allowed but I felt lucky to try the one. Derivative was the name of the beer we had with this brewery experience, a single hop Citra IPA that we had. The beer was alright and refreshing enough but not necessarily the most memorable as far as this style goes. Perhaps going in a different direction with the beer options would have been the way to go to have had more of a memorable beer. read more

A great RI brewery! Always a large tap list with something for everyone. Great selection of sours and IPAs. Cans are always available for purchase. The brewery has a very large space. Even when super busy, there is always a spot for everyone. They have long tables, four tops, and some two tops around the brewery. It's crowded but walkable on the weekends. On the wall, they have a huge projector display of movies that play. Movies range from animated to live action. I believe they use Netflix for movies. Each week they have rotating food trucks. You are also available to bring in your own food. Overall, a great place to visit! read more

I love finding all types of cool craft breweries when I am traveling. My girlfriend and I were visiting Rhode Island again, and we came here on a Friday afternoon to have a few beers. I must say it was a bit hard to locate the entrance, but maybe that's just because I'm not familiar with the area. I'm glad I came during the daytime, as it was much easier to see the roads as to where to enter. There is a huge parking lot here, so parking is not a problem. The inside looked very modern and up to date. Nice and clean, too. They had a small video game section, which was cool. We started out ordering 2 different IPAs they had on draft. After you drink so much IPA's, they all begin to taste similar, but no complaints here. We enjoyed them. For my second round, I went with trying some of their dark ales. The Blood Moon Presence was my favorite of the day since it was a strong beer and had some red wine incorporated into it. Overall, we had a good time here, for the 1 hour and a half here we spent. This tap room has multiple seating options and multiple beers on tap and in the cooler! A couple food truck/ cart options for dinner and some great old school arcade games along the wall! Also a projection screen was playing, you couldn't really see it or hear it but I'm sure it's cool at night. Good beer selection, yummy. Helpful staff. Would def Update: checked this place out again last night but the variety lacked! No sours or fruit beers (girly beers) so there wasn't really anything I'd like. I did try the oak aged sauvon blanc beer but it was funky not in a good way. The sour double ipa was also too much for me. Proclamation Ale Company was a great choice to start off a Friday evening. The beer was fantastic and the atmosphere lively and entertaining. Located in an industrial park... this place was not the easiest to find once the sun went down. Their sign on the road is not lit so I drove by the first time. Even then, its only a small sign from there directing you past the solar farm and onwards past a guard house to the parking lot. As a first-time visitor, I could have used some added direction. Returning in the future won't be a problem but something to keep in mind if it is your first visit! Don't let this deter you though, it's worth the trip! A large bar opens up to a massive tasting room complete with seating, vintage arcade games, movies projected on the wall (Addams Family Values & Nosferatu during my time there), and rockin' tunes. The space is so large that even with a crowd the volume isn't overbearing. The games are free (a vintage gamer's dream!). The beer! Their pours are always changing so check the website to see what they'll have on your visit. While I was there I enjoyed the: - Sun Destroyer (10.5% abv) an Imperial Stout with Cacao Nibs & Dark Candy Sugar. It was SO good. The 5oz pour was plenty - $4. - Goldust (13% abv) an Imperial Golden Ale. Tasty... I honestly didn't know it was 13% until typing this. Dangerousssss. I will definitely be back! My FAVORITE brewery right here. I love their beer, especially their sours (usually marked by their "Ooh! (Insert fruit here)"), and their staff is awesome. They rocked it during Covid too. It was easy to place orders and any transactions felt very "covid-friendly". They continue to improve their indoor spot with seating and games, and my only hope is that they start to build on their outdoor area. Great Product Taking a ride to find this brewery - it's easy to find but you may think you are lost. One of those breweries in the middle of an industrial area. You can get a 5 beer tasting (4 were on tape the day we were there - so we got a redo of any of the 4 we wanted). You can choose with or without a glass (a little more with the glass) - or you can just buy the glass at the end. The product is very high quality and the people were friendly and knowledgeable (the brewer was there). They have created a very lively place with a cool atmosphere. The brewery is extremely spacious and there is always something unique being displayed on their projection screen. They have fun arcade games that can be played for free. Besides the tasty beers, they also will lure you in with many different food trucks that visit daily and deliver delicious food such as Tilly's Cheesesteaks, Knead Doughnuts, HG80, Jeff's Pizza, and Burgundian Waffles. They recently celebrated their 5th Anniversary and released a new beer every day of that week. I am so glad I found this place. It is my go to if I need to get a small gift for someone or bring a drink to a beer lovers home. I myself usually drink wine but on occasion I enjoy a cold beer. My favorite is Divinity it's got a nice refreshing citrusy flavor. Th ambience is casual, a little industrial and fun, although at 55 I'm usually the oldest person in the place. The brewery's new space in Warwick is a huge step up from where it used to be located. Not only is it more convenient for me to visit since I live in Warwick, but it's much trendier and larger. The walls are painted a turquoise color, there's lights hanging from the ceilings, lots of tables, and free games. I tried the Broze oatmeal stout and loved it. It was really smooth and easy to drink. My boyfriend had the Tendril IPA and liked that as well. We brought some cans home to enjoy over the weekend. My only complaint was finding the place (in the dark). The GPS told us it was on the opposite side of the street so beware of that. There are a lot of large and sketchy buildings around that I turned into looking for the brewery. Turns out there is a Proclamation truck parked at the top of the road that it's located on. I couldn't see the truck in the dark as there are hardly any street lights. When you get closer, it says private property and looks a little questionable, but you are in the right place! read more
