Cute place in the city of Providence, with limited indoor seating. We weren't able to see the back patio because of an event happening. My husband loved the beers! The seltzer I got had a very flat taste. The servers were excellent.
Just wanted to leave another review for Moniker! This place is the best. I recently went with some friends and our dogs. It was a Monday night and most other places were closed, and we are so happy Moniker is open on Mondays! They had an open mic night and it was so much fun! They also had a food truck. Beer was great and bartenders were lovely as always. Moniker is also a pop up space for Babes Pie, which is very kind of them!
The beer tenders are always so friendly here and it's a great casual spot to hang out - vibes are great! I do wish there were some lower chairs instead of all tall stools or the back nook - yaknow, for us short / awkward people. The outdoor areas out front or in back are dreamy in the warm weather, when they also open the garage door and let the warm air flow through (I once got pretty bit up in the back area outside though, so pro tip: wear pants or bug spray). Dogs are welcome here and I love to see the furry cuties visit. They offer multiple types of dog treats for four legged customers, which is such a thoughtful touch! The beer is focused on authentic, European lager / pilsner styles and doesn't switch up very often. Their beers are not very sweet, but they usually offer multiple types of pilsners and lagers at any given moment. The styles they specialize in are not my most favorite, which is my only reason for removing a star, but take a look at the menu - if those styles are your jam, they seem to be pretty authentic and you will probably love them. I usually go for the Pink Lemonade Seltzer and it's great and very fizzy. I went today as part of The Big Lebrewsky and they offered a "tasting," which to my delight consisted of a flight of 3 - very generous! I got the Coffee Stout (very strong), Irish Red (smoother and I enjoyed more than I thought- a solid choice!), and the Czech Pilsner (very light and goes down smoothly/easily). I loved this opportunity to branch out to some styles I don't always go for when I'm here. Special shout out to mascot Stella who always makes my day when she makes an appearance. It's usually easy to find street parking here, although the street has a decent amount of potholes, so keep an open eye lol. A cozy, fun place in a relaxed part of Providence just off the highway that's easy to access - great for an afternoon weekend or casual date night.
I came back to Moniker Brewery to redeem my beverage voucher for donating blood between July 28 through August 31 at a Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC). I am consistent, because I ordered the same drink I did last year. Blessed be the Fruit, an American Sour Ale made with blackberry and hibiscus was fruity and tart. All the staff are very friendly and there are ample seating area inside and outside. ABCD Brothers Kitchen, a food truck, was at Moniker Brewery and we ordered some food from there. It's so great that you have options to order food from rotating food trucks or from neighboring restaurants.
This is such a great spot for an after-work beer with friends! It's dog friendly, very open, with lots of seating. They even have fire pits which come in handy when it's cold. Their selection is great and the staff is very nice and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you haven't! However, it can get veryyyy busy on a nice day :)
The drink menu was great - not a lot of non-alcoholic options but I got a spicy mango soda that the bartender recommended and it was fantastic. I went during open mic night and it was great. There were so many talented performers and I loved that the brewery had a little shelf with some games on it that we could play while we listened. I felt super welcomed there and will definitely be back.
We were in town for a visit and wanted to see what craft beers Providence had to offer and be able to take a dog. Our first option bombed but we found Moniker. I ordered a Parallel Thinking and it had the true New England IPA taste. The staff was friendly and helpful in making a choice based on my tastes. The inside has a great homey vibe but outside is beautiful. There were well behaved pups all around and ours was happy to meet them all. Lots of tables and on a cold day and great fire-pit to gather round. Hope to get back soon.
Went last night (a Saturday night), and they should have just been closed for a private event! Most tables were "reserved" and there was a speed date event going on. It was incredibly loud. 30 or so singles all trying to hear what each other are saying nearly screaming. I couldn't hear anything my husband was saying and we had to stand in a corner out of the way of all the madness. There was a food truck that looks like it doesn't move from outside right in front but on a Saturday evening it wasn't open for food. Strange. Sure you could order out from other businesses, but holy crap the environment in there was the loudest and most chaotic thing I've ever experienced at a brewery! Had they posted this on their socials we would have picked another night to go. Could not enjoy our beer.just close for a private event, you can't make money off this event and expect regular customers to come and enjoy a beer.
A clear crowd favorite based on my visit last night! I spotted their social media post about a pop up performance by PVD Cello Fest and I decided to take a solo trip to check it out. They have loads of seating, mostly outside, and if you have a gorgeous summer night like we did, a lovely time. They have a food truck there and I hope to check out the poutine on a future visit. Note that dogs and children are welcome, too.
Really a good time had gone there with a an elite like trial thing and try a different items. It was very good that people were super friendly. They didn't have a band that night or any food but they said you could take an order in and it could be delivered we just got our two free drinks and sat and listen to the radio they had playing talked to other people. My husband couldn't decide which one he wanted to drink so they gave him samples of like three different things like on the way like and that ends up being really good, but they were all super friendly and understanding and I really am looking forward to going back there at a time where I can bring my daughter and her husband and the grandson and they have a food truck going on and they have the abilities to sit outside where it is warmer. I still use my free glass that I got from being a yelper at home so I keep remembering what a great time I had.
Dog friendly brewery that shows soccer matches. A rarity but pleasure when found. No kitchen but there is usually a food truck there. There is also a massive outdoor section that is very nice in the summer.
Moniker is such a great spot - they have awesome outdoor seating and a fire pit for the cooler nights. Great beer selection with some rotations. We have done some great trivia here and been hosted for some cool local pottery events. Great addition for the RI Food Fights "Big Lebrewski". Service is great at the bar!
Service is super friendly and helpful. The Nitro beer was super smooth with a hint of sweetness. One of the best draft craft beers I have had in awhile. I hate bitter beers and their nitro beer had no bitterness. Inside had lots of TV to watch a games . Outside had tons of seating and fire pits to keep you warm it's also dog friendly. While they don't serve food there are lots of nearby restaurants and food trucks .

Moniker Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Providence, Rhode Island in January 2021. It was founded by business partners Bryan Benedict, Jeff Goodno, Ben Estes, Ted Pease and Jean Lombard. Benedict left a career in IT in order to turn his craft beer hobby into a full time job. He worked as a sales rep and brand manager for a wholesaler before becoming the director of marketing and sales at Connecticut-based Beer'd Brewing Company. He dreamed of opening his own brewery, so he partnered with Goodno, who had 15+ years of experience working for breweries such as Taproot, Victory Brewing, and SOME Brewing. Estes, who had formerly worked at Proclamation Ale Company and the Guild, was hired as the head brewer. Pease and Lombard, who had experience with tax laws and other skills, were the last partners to come on board. They set up shop in a former auto body. Benedict chose the name "Moniker" to strip away the focus on brand egos and instead focus entirely on the taproom experience, the community, and the beer. The brewery became notable for their wide repertoire of beer styles, even earning praise from Hop Culture Magazine. In May 2026, Moniker purchased Ravenous Brewing in Cumberland with plans to rebrand it as "Moniker North". I recently visited Moniker Brewery while I was passing through Providence. They had been on my list for a while. The place was small and cozy but inviting with a decent amount of indoor seating. There is also patio seating outside, but it was a little too wet and chilly on the day of my visit. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the draught menu. There was a nice eclectic mix of styles. I ordered a sampler flight which included "L.H. Czech Dark" (Tmavé), "Midnight Rodeo" (Dark Mexican Lager), "Blinded by Nostalgia" (IPA), "Stay Cool Drink Moniker" (Hazy Pale Ale), and "It's Called Sightseeing" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel). The latter was my favorite! Between the eclectic mix of styles and the friendly space, I really enjoyed my visit to Moniker. I look forward to when they open their new larger space. read more
Chill vibe and a lot more seating than I expected. Their stout was killer! It was the West End Reserve which was 11% abv and very smooth ($11 for 12oz). My mom got a 5oz pour of their Midnight Rodeo dark Mexican lager. It was really tasty and reminded me of a much better Dos Equis Amber ($3.50) read more

I'm surprised I haven't left a review for Moniker. This is my favorite brewery in Providence, for a few reasons. One is their focus on lagers. Tasty, refreshing, easy-drinking lagers. Secondly, the vibe is just right, with a fun, diverse crowd, good music, good food on site or a short walk away. There's a huge outdoor beer garden, good inside space, and great beers. Do you need more than that? read more
Not my style. The beers are pretty good but not something I'd go out of my way for. The NEIPA, which is a difficult style to master, was nothing special and the Pilsner had a diacetyl problem that produce a flavor like buttered popcorn - it's easy to fix but requires care during fermentation. Service was ok, if this was my neighborhood brewery I'd come in but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

Hey There Marc. thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. I…
An oasis in Providence! Sitting outside Moniker I felt like I was somewhere besides Rhode Island. 1. They take reservations 2. Built in food truck on location 3. Indoor and outdoor seating 4. TV's with sporting events or I even saw a video game projected 5. Large outdoor seating area 6. Great location (Across from Beer on Eartha and Tricycle on the corner a few blocks away from Federal Hill) 7. Super nice staff Great place to spend an afternoon even with kids! Pick them up some ice cream or an amazing push pop from Tricycle and bring em to Moniker! A win for parents! read more

Doggo Friendly AF!! The beer choice is great. The food choice varies and I hate to give an opinion here because they do Food Trucks - so I could go 2star on some things and 5 on others and it would really not show how great this Brew Pub spot is! I found this spot - meeting on the app Meet+ for a Group Event. I suppose what I'm saying is they do Trivia and stuff here too! Best, read more
Visited with my better half to sample this micro brewery's beers. They have convenient 5 ounce servings, so we tried their West Coast IPA, their New England IPA, and their American Sparkling Ale. The American Sparkling is made with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and aged in gin staves. I loved the American Sparkling ale and the West Coast IPA. They have nice indoor and outdoor seating, and a couple of food trucks were available to order food. There's 2 hour free street parking a few steps from their entrance. read more

Woke up this morning and first thought was, I think I want another El Rodeo! had a nice time to myself last night with very tasty beers!! Can't wait to go back! Wish I caught the names behind the bar cuz they were working really hard with still a smile and great service! Place was packed! But I love love love!!! That they are pet friendly and you can instantly tell by all the puppy pictures on the walls and a couple people brought their pups! They don't sell food but there seems to be a pretty cool food truck in front of the establishment! I think I found a new favorite place to myself when I want a quick few beers! read more
I really enjoyed this beer stop! We had a couple beers each and a bag of the chips they sell. We opted to sit outside on one of the picnic benches since the weather was so great. I would love to stop back in if I was in the area and highly recommend you give them a try! read more
This was my first trip to New England (outside of Boston and other big metropolises) and I was on a mission to experience as much New England craft beer as I could. Moniker was highly recommended to me and frankIy, I wish I'd spent more time in Providence so I could have made a second trip. These guys serve up excellent craft beer. I only got to sample the lager and pilsner, but both were served up fresh and crisp. The space is really fun, with plenty of outdoor seating, and games including cornhole. I can only recommend based on my limited time in Providence, but this was one of my best craft beer experiences in New England. You won't be disappointed when you visit. read more
Went here the other day with my work mates and we had a great time! Lounge around or play Cornhole on the side patio. Great indoor/outdoor spaces for relaxing with a Beer and good conversation! Definitely will go back. Tried the sample rack (5) Beers and I must say they were all tasty and I'm not typically a Beer drinker! Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.... read more
1st time at this brewery, but not the last. Good variety of beers, very friendly staff and of course, Stellllllllaaaaaaa, the cute pug in charge! Good size patio area and plenty of room inside. I chose a flight with the first five off the menu. Food truck outside so assume there is one on a regular basis. I enjoyed my flight and for the newbies, flights are a great way to try several beers without having to drink pints!!! Cheers! read more
Really loved our Father's Day here! They take reservations which I can see coming in handy in a Friday night. They have so many options on tap and a few fancy bottled beers. And there's so many close places to order food like the middle place across the street and also Bucktown a little down the street. Inside and outside, though the inside is quite small if it was a rainy day. Definitely will be back! read more

Really beautiful set up! I was disappointed that the weather didn't cooperate on the day we visited to enjoy the outdoor seating (which is so beautiful) but the inside space is nice as well. Great beers, great service and chill vibe. You can also order food from Bucktown delivered right to your table. My only major complaint is that they closed way too early, IMO, on a Sunday. We got there at 5 and had to leave at 6. Sadness. Why? read more

Good, easy drinking beer. Cans to-go with an easy-to-order-from website. Perfect for groups or date night, with Bucktown delivered right to your table. Pro tip: walk to nearby Tricycle for ice cream sammies; you won't regret it. Family AND dog friendly. Swag that babies and pups alike will love! read more
This brewery is one of the newer breweries in Providence. It has great curb appeal with a big beer garden. Every table has its own heating lamp with cool looking lights hang over the entire beer garden. We tried all of their beer by getting a flight. Since I have my favorites when it comes to beer. I can say their beer is very competitive with the other breweries in the state. Hopefully they can get some food trucks park outside this summer. read more

The beer here was great! We had a flight of 4 ($3 each)- solar flight (ipa 6.66%), take it easy (ipa 4.4%), state of flow (pilsner 5.5%) and fuzzy distance (heffeweizen 6%). My favorite was fuzzy distance- for some reason it tasted like cheese? LOL my palette is severely unrefined. My friend liked take it easy because it was slightly bitter. There are tables and seats at the front of the brewery, and picnic tables in the back covered by one large umbrella (altho it didnt prevent all the light from filtering thru during our visit). People brought dogs which was fun! You can also sit inside. Bathrooms are clean (2 individual stalls). You order inside and they offer to bring your drinks outside. You can also buy their canned beer (got the lager which is $16 for 4 and tasted good!) we had a hard time determining which brewery to visit during our stay but are glad we chose moniker! read more
