I hosted a meet up in this space for the first time and it was wonderful! Great service, beautiful space, and NA beer to boot. A lot of community support with game night and a bluegrass jam band, too!

I love how inclusive they are of everyone! Good variety of beers, unflavored seltzer that you can add flavors to, wines, and non-alcoholic choices. All the seltzers and cocktails can be made zero proof! Service is always an A+, little wait and good amount of room at the brewery. They now have a food menu (and soon to have coffee) so they will be seeing more of us!

Love Crook Point! We had a graduation party here, and the place is perfect for small get-togethers. There's plenty of room inside and a good amount of parking, which is convenient. Their food menu is pretty good, mostly sandwiches and pizzas, and they've got a great variety of beers and seltzers. The service was excellent -- Ernie was really friendly, informative and helpful. I especially liked their lager. All in all, a really great spot!

Overall 3.5 Great location, lots of opening seating space, inside and out side the building. Newly renovated building and everything was clean. Seating area were well furnished. Bar area was nice though either had no AC or it wasn't working at full capacity. Service was okay, no eager to greet, welcome or assist, pretty empty for a weekend night. No food onsite but they do provide menus for takeout down the street. Will give them another chance, great addition to the neighborhood.

Crook point is a nice new spot that is worth checking out. There aren't many beers to choose from (yet) but that is better than them trying to do too much too early. The beers I tried were flavorful & well priced. If beer isn't for you they also do flavored seltzer flights with plenty of flavors to choose from. They don't offer food themselves but there was a food truck there when I went. The service was quick & easy & I found the bar tenders to be welcoming & friendly. The space itself is a lot larger than I expected with plenty of seating & space to move around. Apparently it used to be an old hammer factory which I found cool. Parking was an absolute pain though so be mindful of that.

Popped in here after grabbing a meal at Honeybird down the road and I was not disappointed. It's a large place with a ton of areas to lounge and hang and even a little deck outside. I can't tell you the last time I saw shuffleboard but you can bet I played it. The New England IPA is prob the best I have had in the local area. I liked it so much I had multiple! Staff is super friendly and overall this is just a really cool spot. The pic I included is of a little plant by one of the windows...cute as hell and made me laugh. Since I had already ate I didn't check out the food truck but there was one there.

Beautiful brewery! Great spot in East Providence. The atmosphere and beer are fantastic. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming, I performed here as a solo acoustic singer and the crowd was great! Highly recommended

There's also a menu of snacks, flatbreads, and sandwiches if you're feeling hungry. All of the bartenders are always kind and willing to give recommendations or samples if you're unsure what to order. The vibes are also unmatched! Situated right on the water in Fox Point, you can grab a table with a view of the river, sit right at the bar, or find a spot near one of the TVs to catch a game. Pro tip: On the first Thursday of every month, they have a First Thursday punch card where you can collect stamps and save them up for prizes! Definitely recommend for a chill night out with some friends or your favorite person.

They do have a parking lot, which is awesome, but it fills up very fast and parking in the area can be tough once the lot is full. The service is always friendly and attentive, they have really helped me make selections when I wasn't sure what to order in terms of beer. They usually let you try something if you're not sure if you're going to like it before you order which I appreciate because I can be very picky. I typically get a flight when I'm there because I like to try the different beers and I really love their Pilsner probably most of all. They do a good job with IPAs and their pumpkin beer is good, not too sweet, which is what I prefer. I think they excel the most at German style beer. I appreciate that they typically have a variety of beer as well as hard seltzers and also wine so that I can bring most friends even if they don't like beer. They also sell craft soda for those who don't drink alcohol. So there's usually something for everyone. I can't really speak on the food because I don't typically order food when I'm there, but it always smells good. Additionally, they have been known to participate in fundraisers for nonprofits and that is always an A+ in my book.

It was…read morefounded by business partners Bryan Benedict, Jeff Goodno, Ben Estes, Ted Pease and Jean Lombard. Benedict left a career in IT in order to turn his craft beer hobby into a full time job. He worked as a sales rep and brand manager for a wholesaler before becoming the director of marketing and sales at Connecticut-based Beer'd Brewing Company. He dreamed of opening his own brewery, so he partnered with Goodno, who had 15+ years of experience working for breweries such as Taproot, Victory Brewing, and SOME Brewing. Estes, who had formerly worked at Proclamation Ale Company and the Guild, was hired as the head brewer. Pease and Lombard, who had experience with tax laws and other skills, were the last partners to come on board. They set up shop in a former auto body. Benedict chose the name "Moniker" to strip away the focus on brand egos and instead focus entirely on the taproom experience, the community, and the beer. The brewery became notable for their wide repertoire of beer styles, even earning praise from Hop Culture Magazine. In May 2026, Moniker purchased Ravenous Brewing in Cumberland with plans to rebrand it as "Moniker North". I recently visited Moniker Brewery while I was passing through Providence. They had been on my list for a while. The place was small and cozy but inviting with a decent amount of indoor seating. There is also patio seating outside, but it was a little too wet and chilly on the day of my visit. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the draught menu. There was a nice eclectic mix of styles. I ordered a sampler flight which included "L.H. Czech Dark" (Tmavé), "Midnight Rodeo" (Dark Mexican Lager), "Blinded by Nostalgia" (IPA), "Stay Cool Drink Moniker" (Hazy Pale Ale), and "It's Called Sightseeing" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel). The latter was my favorite! Between the eclectic mix of styles and the friendly space, I really enjoyed my visit to Moniker. I look forward to when they open their new larger space.

I know they're closed but I'm writing a review anyways :(…read more I was really sad to hear that Smug was going out of business. It's in a big warehouse space that connects to some other businesses, and they'd been hosting some cool events and beer launch parties towards the end. The space was a little weirdly shaped, but there was usually always someplace to sit. The beers came in a wide variety. The Hawaiian Punch bright red sour they usually had was my favorite- so sweet and nostalgic - but they made other great sours. I tried a non alcoholic beer the last time I went that I really loved, I wish I could remember the name. The parking was the worst part - I could never find a space nearby and often had to walk a street or two over, which wasn't ideal for this area at night imo. Whenever they had a food truck, it would take up part of one of the narrow side streets, as well as half the sidewalk since they would park up on it, which looked bizarre and made it hard to pass both as a pedestrian and driver lol. Service was a little slow, but bartenders tended to make good conversation with everyone, so that's a decent excuse. I'll really miss it!
