Last night was my first visit - it is way cute! I knew it was in the Nylo mills building but didn't know exactly where it was. Its in a nice little spot, there was plenty of parking and the space is clearly new which you notice in a nice clean newly paved parking lot. I like when I walked in- there is a small entry - you're not thrown into a big space. I wasn't expecting table service at a brewery - even with a full menu - that was a nice surprise. Our server did have a slight lag where we were thinking wheeerrrrrre did he go? But the rest of the night he was on top of things. I ordered poutine and a couple of beers. The poutine was good - I like shoestring fries. But I have one beloved former RI restaurants poutine taking up too big a space in my heart still, and this didn't quite hit that. But it was a good snack. Great serving size. We sat in a small alcove with like 4 - 4 top tables. I dig the decorations. Christmas lights are festive and fun. The bar looked decently busy for a wednesday evening - but the acoustics inside work well and it didn't feel noisy or distracting. I got the Cohesive (American IPA) and def enjoyed it. This is a really neat spot set in an old mill building right on the water. It's more than just a brewery; they've got a solid food menu too. There's bar seating, tables, outdoor space, and even fire pits, and the overall atmosphere is spot on. We didn't love our particular table - we were seated right where people line up to order beer, so it felt like they were basically standing at our table. If I went back, I'd probably ask to sit somewhere else or just grab a seat at the bar. The beer was decent, with about 8-10 varieties on tap. You can tell this is a local favorite. Such a lovely spot. Went here with my husband and kids on our way back home after a weekend in Providence. We sat inside as it was still a little chilly, but we still had water views from where we were sat. They have a large food menu that is very kid friendly but the food is still tasty and not bland for adults. We shared a bunch of things, pretzels, poutine, chicken, sliders, all were fantastic. I really like that you ca pick what size beer you can order, there are 4 oz pours, 8 oz, and I think the largest was 12. I'm a lightweight these days so I definitely appreciated that. Service was excellent, food was brought out quickly, as well as the drinks. The beer menu is IPA heavy (not my personal favorite, but that's me) so if that's your thing you will have many options. Cool spot in a converted mill. Food was ok - Fries in the Pulled Pork Fries were a little salty, so we focused on just eating the pork and the salsa verde. Nachos - they were good, loved the flavor. Only draw back is they serve it in a basket, with paper and the paper gets a bit soggy and they bottom 1/4 was not really appetizing as it was mushy. Mocktails - DELICIOUS! Service - our server toward the last part of our visit was very nice. The original server we had was ok, but she left? Anyway, the gentleman that took over was very nice and patient...he also helped us by shirts and beer on the way out. Can get loud, just given the building structure. Can support larger and smaller parties. High and Low tables. The area was neat and tidy and they have Heinz ketchup! Plenty of parking dedicated for the business. I would definitely try this place again. I love to try some of the other menu options, if we can get there earlier in the day, as the kitchen closes about 45/min to hour before they close. PSA: please order the fried pickles when you come here! They are some of the best in the area! Apponaug is a quaint brewery on the Pawtuxet River with its own selection of beer but also ciders and cocktails. Additionally, the food is solid here although there isn't a huge menu. In the past, there have been times where I couldn't get in and had up to a 30 minute wait. Now with the expanded patio seating under a giant roof, that shouldn't be a problem anymore. I'm excited for them to keep growing to meet the tastebuds of us hopheads in RI! read more

Came for a grind hang out yesterday night and I was impressed and enjoyed my experience! Ordered a sour, and it was good. My friend ordered an IPA and an grapefruit beer, which is what I should've gotten since this is a brewery! They were very satisfying. For good, we shared some sliders, pizza, an a bahmah fries. The fries were my favorite accompaniment for the drinks. The pizza was good and more shareable since there would be no way I'd finish alone. Waiter was prompt and attentive. The food was pretty good. Pulled pork on the fries was flavored well, good amount of chile and cilantro. Love the thinner fries. Wings were crispy, not too much lemon pepper. Liked the kickin bourbon as well. Love that you can see the brewery portion through the window panes. The exposed brick was nice too. Server was friendly, everyone we interacted with was nice too. We stayed at the loom hotel, so we walked over to get a drink and some food. Only a short walk from the hotel. This brewer is in an old mill. Lots of outside seating, inside seating and a large bar. Cool vibe, with exposed brick and you can see the brewing machines. The drinks were just okay, I'm not a huge beer drinker and then tried the sangria and it was okay. The food was good though. I have been to Apponaug Brewing twice now to sample the brews and food and although there was a long time between visits, this is still a solid choice. Parking in and around the building is shared with tenants and other businesses. If you can't find a spot near the door, drive around behind the business for more spots. A couple of handicapped spots are right next to the door. Inside is a warehouse sized space. There was no one at the register by the door so we walked in and a staff member let us know there are 'community table' in the main bar area at the back corner where you sit with whomever needs a seat. A few more tables are available between the door and the bar area under edison lights and painted to look like you are underwater. Brew tanks are behind the bar and across from this little seating area. Floors are concrete and the ceilings high making the noise bounce - aka: it's loud in there. A sign by the door states all tables are communal so if there's an empty seat, you can sit there. They also have a cooler by the door to purchase take-away four packs. Menus, flatware wrapped in paper napkins, salt, pepper, hot pepper flakes and ketchup are already on the table along with a slip of paper to select 'flight samples' if that's why you are here. We sat in the small area under the edison bulbs and there are coat hooks on the walls next to the tables which is great because seating is metal stools with no backs (i.e. no place to put your coat or bag). The waitress was with us before our coats were hung up to take a drink order. Besides their own craft beers on tap, but they also have some cocktails and mocktails. The beer selection rotates. My date chose one of the IPA's and I asked for a mocktail and a water. After our beverages were delivered, the waitress came over with an old school glass milk bottle filled with water and two glasses which was very much appreciated. My SO got himself some chicken tenders in 'their hottest sauce' The menu offers many sauce varieties and it appears you can purchase a side of any sauce to go with any meal choice. The waitress also brought a bottle of hot sauce to the table which my heat seeking partner did indeed take advantage of! He thoroughly enjoyed the quality of these chicken tenders and the taste of the sauce. Definitely will be ordering these again. I chose the Korean beef taco. I was hoping for a bit more heat on the taco and I think the sweet level of the sauce on the meat cut any spiciness there may have been in the drizzle over the top. Overall, this meal had too much sweetness for my liking but I have no doubt others will absolutely love it. The meat is very tender, the scallion on top is fresh and these are very 'full' tacos. No skimping here. The menu is upscale pub fare with a couple of salad options, sliders, wings, nachos, four taco options and more. Staff are all friendly. Atmosphere is very laid back and imho the music selection excellent. There are several TV's scattered around the bar. read more

Love apponaug! The atmosphere is always great here as it is inside an old refurbished mill factory and there's an amazing patio that has tons of outdoor seating along a river. The service is always super friendly and attentive as I've been to this brewery a good amount of times with friends. This time I went with 2 friends and we ordered the pulled pork sliders, nachos, and margarita pizza. The pulled pork sliders and nachos really stole the show for me as they were delicious and had really good flavor. As for drinks I ordered the sangria and a mimosa. The sangria was great and had a lot of fresh fruit, while the mimosa was worth it as they give a whole mini prosecco bottle to fill the mimosa. My friends ordered beer and enjoyed the food as well. Came here after a stressful day to decompress . I asked for a seat at the bar which had plenty of open seating in an early Saturday afternoon . The open patio by the river seems nice but I needed to be in a temperature controlled room. Nothing is better than a crisp cold beer on a summer day . This location has unique beers that include wine grapes in their brews. I started with a flight which included Glitch , Supernaut, Aurora , and Occasional disruption. The price of the flight depends on the beer you order so keep that in mind . I was told ahead of time . I also had the classic burger sliders . 10/10 perfect sliders . Generous portion and packed with flavor . I was full and still ate all three on my plate . I got a half pour of the supernaut which was my favorite pick out of the four . The bartenders checked on me a good number of times making sure I didn't go long with an empty glass. I was plenty happy with the food and service . I finished my meal with a honey spritz mocktail ( make it a cocktail with bully Vodka ) and I was as good as new ! Apponaug Brewery is always a nice place to get out for a drink and a bite. It's nice to have a brewery that has a kitchen. Food is kind of what you'd expect - quick style foods, flatbreads, salads, wings, delicious shoestring fries topped with good stuff, burgers, etc. Get some pickle chips! Ambiance outside by the fire pits is relaxing by the water. Sometimes you can catch a class like Sip & Script or repotting plants, etc. Good for guys nights, girls nights and all the in between. What a hidden gem of a brewery. Tucked right into a the old Pontiac textile mill this spot is conveniently located down the sidewalk from Nylo Providence Warwick Hotel. The brewery has a perfect atmosphere, amazing food and great beer! All the staff are super friendly. Great setting for a date night on the patio or it can be a great place to hang out with friends and family. I recommend getting a flight of beers and trying all their darker beers if that fits your palette. Don't skip on the fried pickles they are fire. Nice local brewery with plenty of seating (including a large patio area on the river). They have a decent selection of beers and rotate them often. If beer is not your thing, they have pretty solid cocktails and mocktails available as well! This place gets pretty busy, especially on a nice weekend, and we were told there would be a 30 min wait, however we were pleased to be seated in just 15 minutes. You know how recently people are rocking the 'good vibes only' t- shirts everywhere? I feel like this place fits the demand. We walked in and immediately felt good vibes pumping through the brewery. It's a refurbished mill behind NYLO with a nice view of the water out the large, picturesque windows. Nice long bar, long tables for larger groups. It's cold so no outside but the outside area looks very nice overlooking the water. The music was all 80's hits, up beat for a Sunday afternoon. I took a look around, a lot of Hipsters hanging out here! (It's that vibe I was talking about earlier!) Our server was extremely nice, our 1 year old was totally flirting with her. As we waited four our dinner we played 'Sorry.' We shared food so I can share with you my thoughts on a few things: Poutine- This may have been the best poutine I have ever had! My husband and I were raving over it. We ate more than we wanted because it was just that dang good! We even got my daughter to give it a show and the 10 year old who doesn't eat pouting on a regular basis was digging it. Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Pizza- I have never have a CBR pizza with onions on it. My 10 year didn't care for the onions but it didn't change the flavor or me. it was good. I like a heavy handed pour and there was a perfect amount of ranch on the pizza! it is a shareable size but it was small for being priced at $16 (just my opinion.) Nashville Hot Sliders- this was my husbands food but I tried a piece of the crunchy chicken and it was flavorful. I am not too into spicy but this was sweet and a little spice. I approve! Chicken fingers- 8 large pieces. Perfect for kids and enough to share! Lots of chicken- the kids ate well. BBQ pulled pork sliders- this was my choice. I wasn't a fan of the flavor. I think it was the bbq sauce- it was just not my jam. I am just coming off a trip to North Carolina where the bbq was amazing so this fell really short. Also, the slaw advertised was vinegar. it was dry. OH and I love pulled meat sandwiches paired with blue cheese. They do not have the good blue cheese. Just saying. Located in an old mill building along a river Apponaug Brewing company is a great place to stop for a beer and grab a meal. We love to try new breweries so we were excited to stop. They make brew their own beers onsite. My husband had, It's Not Fine Panic and I had Crawl, Walk Run. Both with refreshing. For an appetizer we had Banh Mi Fries, these Asian inspired fires were one of the best I have ever had. The pickle vegetables added the perfect crunch to compliment the fries. For our main course we all had sliders, my husband and daughter had classic ones and I had the falafel ones. They were all delicious. The staff was friendly and prompt. STILL love, this place all these years later! They've changed up the menu a bit, and it's still totally YUM. Italian salad was so fresh, bright and crispy. Was hard to not fill ourselves up completely with the yummy tater tots, which we ordered extra crispy. Cheeseburger flatbread pizza and fish tacos were also the bomb. Several of our tried and true waitstaff peeps have remained throughout these many years, Brittany (pictured here, with permission), Kim, Jamie, Nicolas, and let's not forget our sweet Yilmas, who has moved up a bit in the ranks. Speaks ever so favorably to the ownership/management. So glad they have launched back into the double IPA department (our favorite style beer ) and it's a good one (Highflyer)! Took a four-pack home.
