    Had a flight of brewskis
    Shahané M.

What brought me here was the fact that they have outdoor dining. The weather was so beautiful the day I went, we spoke to the host and asked to sit outside. Since we didn't have a reservation, we put our name on the list and sat at the bar. The bartender was helping me select beers to add to my flight and was able to give me samples to try. We got our flights which tasted great, we were quickly seated outside afterwards and everything else went well. Food, service, drinks and the view of the river made our lunch feel very special.

Cool spot in a converted mill. Food was ok - Fries in the Pulled Pork Fries were a little salty, so we focused on just eating the pork and the salsa verde. Nachos - they were good, loved the flavor. Only draw back is they serve it in a basket, with paper and the paper gets a bit soggy and they bottom 1/4 was not really appetizing as it was mushy. Mocktails - DELICIOUS! Service - our server toward the last part of our visit was very nice. The original server we had was ok, but she left? Anyway, the gentleman that took over was very nice and patient...he also helped us by shirts and beer on the way out. Can get loud, just given the building structure. Can support larger and smaller parties. High and Low tables. The area was neat and tidy and they have Heinz ketchup! Plenty of parking dedicated for the business. I would definitely try this place again. I love to try some of the other menu options, if we can get there earlier in the day, as the kitchen closes about 45/min to hour before they close. Be sure to ask ahead of time, if you are hoping to eat there.

PSA: please order the fried pickles when you come here! They are some of the best in the area! Apponaug is a quaint brewery on the Pawtuxet River with its own selection of beer but also ciders and cocktails. Additionally, the food is solid here although there isn't a huge menu. In the past, there have been times where I couldn't get in and had up to a 30 minute wait. Now with the expanded patio seating under a giant roof, that shouldn't be a problem anymore. I'm excited for them to keep growing to meet the tastebuds of us hopheads in RI!

Cute spot, shared parking, indoor and outdoor seating. High and low tops. Not the most comfortable, but not bad. Right next to the loom hotel, and short walk to Warwick mall. The food was pretty good. Pulled pork on the fries was flavored well, good amount of chile and cilantro. Love the thinner fries. Wings were crispy, not too much lemon pepper. Liked the kickin bourbon as well. Love that you can see the brewery portion through the window panes. The exposed brick was nice too. Server was friendly, everyone we interacted with was nice too. Also, not too packed, which we liked. Pop music playing in the background. Would go back.

Came for a grind hang out yesterday night and I was impressed and enjoyed my experience! Ordered a sour, and it was good. My friend ordered an IPA and an grapefruit beer, which is what I should've gotten since this is a brewery! They were very satisfying. For good, we shared some sliders, pizza, an a bahmah fries. The fries were my favorite accompaniment for the drinks. The pizza was good and more shareable since there would be no way I'd finish alone. Waiter was prompt and attentive. They had outdoor fire place areas to sit and chill. It was decorated with Christmas lights and movies on the screen. I would come again for more friend hang outs~

We stayed at the loom hotel, so we walked over to get a drink and some food. Only a short walk from the hotel. This brewer is in an old mill. Lots of outside seating, inside seating and a large bar. Cool vibe, with exposed brick and you can see the brewing machines. The drinks were just okay, I'm not a huge beer drinker and then tried the sangria and it was okay. The food was good though. We got the ranch nachos which were really good. The service was also friendly and nice! Cool brewery!

Korean beef tacos - sweet, not very spicy

I have been to Apponaug Brewing twice now to sample the brews and food and although there was a long time between visits, this is still a solid choice. Parking in and around the building is shared with tenants and other businesses. If you can't find a spot near the door, drive around behind the business for more spots. A couple of handicapped spots are right next to the door. Inside is a warehouse sized space. There was no one at the register by the door so we walked in and a staff member let us know there are 'community table' in the main bar area at the back corner where you sit with whomever needs a seat. A few more tables are available between the door and the bar area under edison lights and painted to look like you are underwater. Brew tanks are behind the bar and across from this little seating area. Floors are concrete and the ceilings high making the noise bounce - aka: it's loud in there. A sign by the door states all tables are communal so if there's an empty seat, you can sit there. They also have a cooler by the door to purchase take-away four packs. Menus, flatware wrapped in paper napkins, salt, pepper, hot pepper flakes and ketchup are already on the table along with a slip of paper to select 'flight samples' if that's why you are here. We sat in the small area under the edison bulbs and there are coat hooks on the walls next to the tables which is great because seating is metal stools with no backs (i.e. no place to put your coat or bag). The waitress was with us before our coats were hung up to take a drink order. Besides their own craft beers on tap, but they also have some cocktails and mocktails. The beer selection rotates. My date chose one of the IPA's and I asked for a mocktail and a water. After our beverages were delivered, the waitress came over with an old school glass milk bottle filled with water and two glasses which was very much appreciated. My SO got himself some chicken tenders in 'their hottest sauce' The menu offers many sauce varieties and it appears you can purchase a side of any sauce to go with any meal choice. The waitress also brought a bottle of hot sauce to the table which my heat seeking partner did indeed take advantage of! He thoroughly enjoyed the quality of these chicken tenders and the taste of the sauce. Definitely will be ordering these again. I chose the Korean beef taco. I was hoping for a bit more heat on the taco and I think the sweet level of the sauce on the meat cut any spiciness there may have been in the drizzle over the top. Overall, this meal had too much sweetness for my liking but I have no doubt others will absolutely love it. The meat is very tender, the scallion on top is fresh and these are very 'full' tacos. No skimping here. The menu is upscale pub fare with a couple of salad options, sliders, wings, nachos, four taco options and more. Staff are all friendly. Atmosphere is very laid back and imho the music selection excellent. There are several TV's scattered around the bar.

    Pulled pork sliders and nachos

Love apponaug! The atmosphere is always great here as it is inside an old refurbished mill factory and there's an amazing patio that has tons of outdoor seating along a river. The service is always super friendly and attentive as I've been to this brewery a good amount of times with friends. This time I went with 2 friends and we ordered the pulled pork sliders, nachos, and margarita pizza. The pulled pork sliders and nachos really stole the show for me as they were delicious and had really good flavor. As for drinks I ordered the sangria and a mimosa. The sangria was great and had a lot of fresh fruit, while the mimosa was worth it as they give a whole mini prosecco bottle to fill the mimosa. My friends ordered beer and enjoyed the food as well. We will definitely come back as this place has become a tradition and we are always excited to come back!

Before going, I noticed several reviews mentioning that the food lacked flavor. After eating here, I'd have to agree. We started with the Strawberry Burrata appetizer. The burrata itself was good, but the strawberries tasted like they came from a can or pie filling instead of being fresh. It's the middle of summer, so that was disappointing. The focaccia served with it was fresh, but completely unseasoned and bland. A little olive oil, herbs, or flaky salt would have made a huge difference. For our entrees, we ordered the pasta special with chicken, peppers, and "broccolini" in a garlic sauce, along with the short rib grilled cheese and garlic Parmesan chips. First, the dish didn't contain broccolini--it was regular broccoli. That's not a huge deal, but the menu should be accurate. The penne was undercooked, the red peppers tasted like they came from a can, and the broccoli seemed straight from a frozen bag. The entire dish arrived tasting like it had been reheated in a microwave rather than cooked to order. There were only a couple of other tables in the restaurant, and they had only been open for about an hour, so that was surprising. On top of that, the dish was very bland. The short rib grilled cheese was actually the highlight of the meal. The short rib was tender and flavorful, and the sandwich had a lot of potential. However, the plain focaccia made it a little dry, and it really could have used some type of sauce or spread to bring everything together. The garlic Parmesan chips were stale, bland, and also seemed pre-made. To top it off, the menu clearly advertises that kids eat free all day on Mondays, yet we were charged $8 each for our kids' penne with red sauce. This restaurant has the potential to be really good. The ingredients and menu ideas are there, but the execution falls short. Fresher ingredients, cooking food to order, more seasoning, and a little more creativity would make a world of difference.

This is your typical soulless, corporate chain restaurant that could be in any town in the United…read moreStates. Having said that, suburban Americans are a funny bunch ... and it is also wildly popular. We went here with kids and I'd say on a Saturday night, 80% of the people here had kids. The music is played very loud ... so if your kids are misbehaving, it's not a huge deal. The music pretty much makes conversation tough but acts as a buffer for screaming children (or adults). The first thing is that the reservations system is absolutely a complete and utter shit show. They do this thing called 'call ahead' where you call the restaurant or go online and hold a spot. It's a turd of a system because it doesn't seem to work. We came in and waited almost 30 minutes and saw several others who checked in and came 10 minutes after get a table. When we asked the host, they said it was because they had 2 people in their group and we had 3 people. Yet they were all seated in the same section we eventually were at the exact same table size. Beyond that, when you walk into the restaurant there is a giant revolving door, which gives about 5 feet of clearance to the hostess stand. There were no less than 20 people waited in an area the size of a hotel elevator. And each time someone came in, there was basically nowhere to move and the door sometimes hit the people gathered in the small area to wait. I cannot imagine a planet on which this would not be some kind of fire code issue. Beyond the utter chaos and frustration of the check-in system, we were finally seated after 20 - 30 minutes. The waitress was clearly overworked. Very capable but spread too thin and a bit frazzled but helpful when she appeared. We ordered: - Smash burger. This was actually very good. At $18, it should be. 1 mile away is a Shake Shack and I'd say that Shake Shack is a slightly better burger (at 1/2 the price) but the fries at B.J's were better. - California Chicken Club. The chicken breast was grilled nicely and actually had a grilled flavour, which was good. The bacon could have been a bit crispier. Tomatoes seemed fresh. Guacamole was not fresh, likely, but better than mayonnaise. I'd order this again. - The side Wedge was pretty blah. There were literally two small bacon bits on it. The dressing probably came from an industrial-sized bucket and contained no blue cheese chunks. It may as well be ranch. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. Probably not much better than French fries as a side. - Brown Ale was pretty terrible. It tasted of alcohol and was not smooth at all. I'd probably get a national brand, if this was a good example of their house made beer. Overall, I have to admit the food was better than 99% of chain restaurants (Applebees, Chilis, TGIFriday, etc.) It was true comfort food and if your expectations are low ... and you need a place to take the kids, this won't be terrible. It's somewhere between a Chucky Cheese and a Tavern on the Square. The prices were high ... but we felt that we got what we paid for.

I ordered tritip steak and shrimp scampi with cheddar mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was SO over cooked and dry. The asparagus was drenched in pepper and olive oil which was all you could taste. It was way too much for me. Our server brought over a second steak for me which was slightly less well done. He also brought over broccoli to replace my mom's over-peppered asparagus as well. The broccoli was terrible too but we ate it... The shrimp came in a redish sauce (which is not scampi) but it was very good whatever it was. My mom's prime rib was very tasty though. We won't be going back though. Was very pricey for a super mediocre meal.

Yes, there is a bar, BUT it is also a treasured North Kingstown breakfast spot. We arrived on Saturday morning--not crazy busy, but busy enough that having only one server and the owner working at around 10 a.m. did not bode well. That concern quickly faded once we placed our orders. The owner was gracious and helpful and did a good job managing the pace. Our party of three ordered the French Toast TX style -- from a very finicky member of our party making specific customizations -- all accommodated with a smile, a Crow's Nest Benny, and, for me, Tres Quesadilla. Hands down, this was the best presentation of a breakfast quesadilla I have ever ordered. Why? Just look at the accompanying picture. The tortillas were cut into smaller, easier-to-handle, triangular pieces. Tortillas can be messy to eat. The salt potato home fries are probably one of the Top 5 I've ever had in my life. No, really. Very subjective, yes, but if you like your home fries crispy on the outside and not soggy on the inside, flavorful--then you might agree. There are high-top tables and regular tables inside -- plenty of light streaming through the place. You can even have breakfast at the bar. There's also outside seating. The foyer with the living-room-style seating is charming and cozy. I've already been thinking about going back for drinks and sitting in this area.
