We did take out and it was good! Shrimp Fra Diablo over linguine 8/10, Stuffie 6/10, kids fish and chips 7/10, kids buttered pasta 9/10, clam chowder 10/10! The tartar sauce was exceptional as was the coleslaw. They tossed in the cubiertos so that was helpful as well. It was full full full when we went to pick up the food. After a long day of driving for my girlfriend, we settled in RI for night and looked for a place to eat. I found the Paella on the menu and I needed to try that. Seafood paella in RI, it has to be good, right, well it was. The espresso martini I had was not my favorite. The side order of Brussel sprouts does not say it has bacon on them. This was disappointing for my girlfriend who has Alpha Gal and cannot eat red meat or pork. While she couldn't eat them I went ahead and did and they were good. Service was great. No issues there. This restaurant is definitely not 3 stars at all. I have been coming to this restaurant most summers since I was a kid. I definitely think the food quality improved. The New England Clam Chowder they make is hands down my favorite no doubt!! You MUST try the clam chowder if you go here. The calamari is delicious however it's a small portion for only 3 people at most. The inside of the restaurant is a sports bar theme and the outdoor patio is really nice with some cornhole games as well. The service is pretty good, it seems like the servers also help out with other duties so they might not be that attentive all the time. Prices are on the higher side. Overall this is one of my favorite stops in Narragansett for dinner because you can drive right down the road to Brickeleys for dessert as well! Overall this should be probably 4 stars on yelp! Reading some of the one star reviews I noticed some were unfair, particularly a couple that were regular customers and had one bad experience. read more

Chose to eat outside on the deck as it was a beautiful day. Within a few minutes someone was there to take our drink order. Returned and took our food order and it may have been 10 minutes and our food was ready (it was around 3pm). I had the fish and chips and as other reviewers have said it was better than excellent. Perfectly cooked, crunchy outside, soft and moist inside. Very generous portions of fish and fries. The tartar sauce was a bit different and I chose not to use it but it was not missed. Our waitress was very attentive. Will go out of my way to eat here again and would love to try other things on the menu but the fish and chips was so good, I'm not sure I would! We've just gotten home, and I felt inclined to post this. This restaurant deserves to be recognized for its excellence. It is nice to promote the positivity of any great restaurant when so many people do the opposite. I am usually a tough critic when it comes to restaurants. I used to run one. I 100% understand that it's Labor Day weekend and the whole general area is extremely busy. I came away impressed with the service as well as the outstanding food quality there yesterday, specifically on Sunday before Labor Day. I couldn't believe how busy it was, and even more so, how the service handedly kept up with it. We sat at the bar to get a drink while waiting for our table. I am thinking to myself they are way too busy to get to us and then, much to my pleasant surprise, a young gentleman came over to greet us. I was in awe of how friendly and accommodating he was, especially in the face of adversity. He was still smiling, friendly with customers, and able to casually converse with them at the same time. I believe that multi-tasking is the most challenging aspect of the restaurant business, and doing it in the face of adversity during a hectic time was truly impressive. We felt at ease in a busy environment. We decided to forgo the reservation and sit at the bar. We figured, why wait for a table when we can sit right away and eat? I have been to enough restaurants to know that I am unlikely to receive better service, even if the server is in a slow section. When I visit restaurants near my hometown, the servers and bartenders are most likely on their phones and neglecting their duty of service. Everything we ate there was amazing. It was clear that the Chef was excellent and certainly knew what he was doing; describing him as outstanding would be selling him short. The seafood was extremely fresh. That is not always the case at places we have visited in our habitual summer stays in the Narragansett area. We always stop at the Twin Willows. It has always been one of the main places we go while we are here for the Summer. We would have gone habitually anyway, but after this delightful experience, we will become summer regulars, opting for other places with the same subpar results. When you find a place with exceptional food and service, why risk deviating from that? I won't curse but forget the other Narragansett restaurants. Twin Willows is the best one and it is not even close. I love it and most importantly, my family loves it from my wife to my three children. I cannot fathom that there is anywhere I can bring them that makes them nearly as happy as I am when I am chowing that Billburger. How it gets better than that is a mystery Sherlock Holmes could not solve. Needless to say, I VERY MUCH highly recommend this restaurant. read more

We arrived in Wakefield for vacation on Friday night and was looking for a place to eat. This was close to our AirBnB so we decided to give it a try. Pretty huge space with lots of tables. The decor could use an update. Staff was friendly but was slow with service. Our server forgot one of our friends entree and was honest about it. She took it off the tab. I order the calamari app for the table & a burger for myself. Burger was mediocre and calamari was horrible. The buns of the burger were too greasy. The calamari was soggy and also bland. Nothing memorable about both. My boyfriend ordered the buffalo wings w/ fries and enjoyed it. Worst dining experience ever. 20$ steamers came out smelling like sewage, dry, and cracked. Then the lobster rolls... 26$.... were half of a hot dog roll that was not wven stuffed with lobster meat. Our waitress was the greatest!! Very sweet and very accommodating. We had a loud birthday party next to us but that was I guess ok. My wife and I both ordered steamed lobster. First time both came uncooked. Second time one came uncooked.... The chef absolutely told our server that they were. To get two good lobsters took the best of five. This can always happen and am not upset. What upset us was the fact that the owner or manager ever came over, was walking around the deck several times. Not that I would expect anything but do you think he could have at least bough us a drink? Or an apology? The bill was $150 and took almost 2 1/2 hours while having the loud party right next to us. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, we drove to Twin Willows in Narragansett, RI for a bite to eat. Normally we make reservations, but a change of plans had us winging it at Twin Willows. Fortunately, we were seated right away at a requested outdoor patio table. The staff was friendly and energetic and helpful in narrowing down our menu selection by answering questions and provide guidance. We first opted for the cajun salmon burger and selected the sweet potato fries for a $3 up charge over regular fries and instead of mixed greens. I did order the mixed greens as a side salad. While the salmon burger was delicious with nicely sliced avocado on a softer kaiser roll and the sweet potato fries were crispy and a healthy service size, the side salad was disappointing; very small, warm, and the raspberry vinaigrette dressing looked more like a gel than a liquid. The open faced caprese was a huge portion of tomatoes served over prosciutto covered tuscan bread with burrata cheese, EVOO and balsamic drizzle. A choice of salad or fries was also an option and for an additional $3 opted for the sweet potato fries, too. Two really good meal choices that left us both full and satisfied. Prices were very reasonable and the food quality better than expected for a restaurant and sports bar type atmosphere. Twin Willows is recommended when in the area. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick bite. He got super salty mozzarella sticks and I offered a chicken parm sandwich. It wasn't on the menu but the waitress assured me that they could make it. A chicken breast, cheese and a little marinara on a hamburger bun and a few fries was my meal. Imagine my surprise when I got the bill and was charged$22 for my sandwich! I asked the waitress to check with the manager to make sure I wasn't charged for the meal. She returned to tell me that that's the price of the sandwich. That's what they always charge. I am all about supporting local businesses. I go out of my way to do this year round. But for an appetizer and a small sandwich along with a soda and beer for$50?! Their hamburgers are around$12. I used to spend a LOT of time here when we were at URI .... never for food and never during the day. I remember a few years after graduation we stopped in for lunch and were shocked to realize there were windows - and we were near the water! The long bar was partially filled with people having a quick bite or a beer, with the big window tables on the other side were taken by small groups of people for lunch. I ordered the Bill Burger - $9.00 - (Single patty, mayo bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, Add onions rings $2.00). The burger was ok, cooked medium rare/medium but nothing special. I added the onion rings and they were not very good. Super hard crust and flavorless, so I left most of them. I should have ordered the hand-cut french fries!!!! I tried some of my friends and they were awesome. They had the skins still on and were cooked perfectly - best fries I have had in a while !!! Friend ordered the Avocado Turkey Wrap - $12.00 - Turkey, Swiss, mayo, tomato, avocado, lettuce,, honey mustard. Add hand-cut fries $1.00. She said her sandwich was fine - not the best but not the worst. She also LOVED the french fries so home run on those! Other ordered a bowl of the South County Clear Chowder - Bowl $7.00 and said it was really good. So would we come back for the food?
