Some restaurants serve great brunch. Pier 52 serves an experience. We've been here before and have never been disappointed, but this visit stood out because of our bartender, Sheldon. He was knowledgeable, genuinely welcoming, funny, charming, and quick-witted. He made excellent recommendations, shared a little local Portuguese history, and by the end of brunch our group had an inside joke that had the whole outdoor bar laughing. That's the kind of service you don't forget. The food was exceptional. Every special request was perfect--even the extra crispy bacon. The corned beef hash and eggs, crab Benedict, and hash brown waffles were all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were just as impressive. Each one was perfectly balanced and consistent. Do yourself a favor and try at least two from the cocktail menu. Add in the outdoor waterfront seating with boats and jet skis passing by, and it's one of the best brunch spots around. We've always loved Pier 52, but Sheldon took an already great restaurant and made it unforgettable. We'll definitely be back--and hopefully grabbing seats at his bar again. read more

Wow this place is amazing. Located right next to the Tipsy Seagull I came here for a girl dinner yesterday. It was pretty crowded when we arrived so we decided to sit out on the lawn and look out on the water. Be aware of confusion and miscommunication amount staff. My most recent trip I ordered the chowder which is usually the best in the city but it was cold , was sent back. Their reply was "this is the 5th one sent back" - why do you continue to serve it then? Went for sushi , manager tells staff to "68" it . Was told they ran out. Was disappointed but night was still young! Ordered the zucchini chips which were flavorless , luckily the tzatziki saved them, for 19$ I expected more flavor. As we finish , the bartender tells us "hey sushi's back on" " they were just backed up" - Great , real great - if you had said that we'd of waited to order..... no apology or comped anything lol not even the chowder... Was looking for a spot before heading to Narrows Center for a show and this place came up - it was close by and had a decent menu to choose from - easy reservations via the website and plenty of lot parking. The food was just ok, nothing special about it. Sushi was subpar - (menu said spicy kewpie mayo but it tasted like plain ole mayo), my salmon dish was just meh - salmon was a bit under seasoned and the mister didn't care much for his fish tacos at all but like a trooper, he finishes his meal anyway. The best part of our meal was the dessert - it was a limoncello cake of some sort and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We found it strange that our sushi and entrees all came out at the same time - which was fine but just strange as we thought the sushi would've been treated as an appetizer. Also, we were told that they only take credit card for the bill but that the tip can be made with card or cash - whatever works, I suppose. Clams had so many shells so who ever shucked them needs better training ( I absolutely hate when I find shells in my shucked clams/ oysters ( I get that it happens) but every clam had some small and large pieces. The shrimp on the menu said U12 - I asked for 2 and received three, my guess was because they were so small not hearty and meaty. We stopped in for a cocktail after dinner at the Tipsy Toboggan. Adirondacks face the water and the sunset on the turf. Bartenders were great, view is really as good as it gets around here. Really nice spot on the water in Fall River, the view is perfect. We were sat right away in the Adirondack chairs, got the oysters they were buck a shuck, they were not shucked the best though, but were fresh, hence the 4 stars. The octopus was perfect tender and flavorful, the Burrata was delicious, it was served with a variety of beets and really complemented the dish, there was live music, which I think they have every night. Took a ride on the motorcycle and remembered a friend had mentioned that this place was now open. It's so great to see the waterfront in Fall River being utilized as it should now instead of being in a state of disrepair. I had a drink along with some sushi at the outside waterfront bar. A random Father's Day find and boy was it amazing. Everything was FRESH! The seating is literally right on the water. There is a rope that separates you and the rocks water.
