What a delightful little gem tucked away in Fall River, MA . Just a stone's throw from Battleship Cove. Stumbled upon this place and discovered it was worth coming back. My initial visit was on a Monday night when they had all kinds of cheese specials for $10. Including a delicious cheese pizza. However on my second trip I discovered the real value was on their Sunday specials where you get a soup or salad, 1/2 portion of lasagna, a choice of chicken entree and a special pasta. All for $29. We were here last night with a party of 17 for a birthday celebration. We had a 7:30 reservation and weren't seated until about 7:45, which wasn't a huge deal. Unfortunately, that's where things started going downhill. It took 30 minutes before anyone even took our drink orders. During that time we weren't offered water, bread, or asked if we had any questions. Drinks, which were just water and soft drinks, took another 15 minutes to arrive. Around 8:45 our server finally came to take our food order and told us the kitchen had asked her to wait before putting it in. By that point, one person in our group had already left to get Wendy's because he was tired of waiting. Once we finally ordered, there were still no drink refills. We asked for waters for the table and were brought five glasses with, "I have five waters, who wants one?" We had 17 people. It was just kind of unbelievable. Our food didn't come out until almost two hours after we arrived. By then everyone was hungry and thirsty. There were two kids in our group, and it would have been nice if their meals had at least come out earlier. Or bring us bread or something to hold us over. We also had to ask for salt and pepper because there wasn't any on the table. They brought one set for all 17 of us. We asked for another and eventually got one more set. I understand large parties can be challenging, but if the restaurant can't handle a reservation that size, it probably shouldn't accept it. The one positive was our server. She was very nice and seemed to be doing the best she could. I really wish I could say the food made up for the wait, but it was just average. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable either. First visit to Primo, stopped by for an early dinner. The servers were really friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. I was only mildly hungry and ordered a side Caesar salad and the appetizer eggplant rolls. The salad was large, delicious, crispy, perfectly dressed. We decided to enjoy the patio on a Friday night. We were pleased with the outdoor space on the patio however it could be more comfortable for seating and umbrellas. Hubby ordered the linguini and clams with white sauce and he was very impressed with the flavors. Not many area restaurants have this one the menu! I've heard so many mixed things about this spot, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Interior nice and clean, and they are currently creating an outdoor patio which will be cute for the summer time. The food. The Pizza was EXCELLENT, great flavor thin crust, had some flop by far the best thing we ate. The chicken parm sandwich was good nothing to brag about, but wish they had used a different type of bread. The crème brûlée looked great but I think it was torched too long as the consistency was off but the flavor was excellent. The staff were all super nice. The restaurant is cute with a nice event/bar space. It is very loud with the high ceilings which makes it a bit hard to converse with a large party. The pizza was really tasty. The Caesar salads were decent. The arancini bites were pretty tasty. This probably won't be a go to spot for me but I will for sure return. read more

My daughter's 5th Grade MetroWest basketball team made the playoffs and had practice tonight before their big game tomorrow. I thought it would be fun to organize a team dinner, even though it was very last minute, and reached out around 4:30 PM to a friend who is a chef at PRIMO to see if they might be able to accommodate us. At that point I didn't even know the exact number -- somewhere between 20-25 people. Within minutes he responded saying that they would make it work. We set a reservation for around 5:45/6 PM, which was incredibly generous considering how little notice I was giving them. After that, I sent a group message out to the parents and the reservation quickly grew. Before I knew it, we were up to 33 people (13 adults and 20 kids!). I reached back out to update him on the new number and without hesitation he said they would absolutely accommodate us. When we arrived, we were greeted with huge smiles and such a warm welcome. The staff was completely ready for our large group. Managing a party of 33 -- especially with 20 excited kids -- is no easy task, but they handled everything with patience, professionalism, and kindness. The service was amazing, the staff was incredible, and the food was outstanding. I truly cannot say enough good things about Primo. Their flexibility, hospitality, and willingness to accommodate us on such short notice meant so much to our team and parents. I'm so glad we didn't listen to the bad reviews because this place is awesome! We had a lovely, friendly, efficient waitress (Jai) who listened when we said we had time restraints. She brought our delicious and warm pizza to us ASAP. It was a little noisy there, but it really was more alive than loud. The tower, well, guess what The fries had no cheese on them. Very little garlic and they were ice cold showed it to the general manager. Trying to be calm. Still. The general manager says, I am going to take care of your bill, well, me and my wife waited another 15 minutes. All of a sudden, the manager comes back and charges us for the Pizza. Because it was the lower price of each item. When again, the general managers said that they were going to take care of the bill very, very disappointed. So me and my wife did pay the bill. This place is amazing! What a great restaurant to come to Fall River!! My husband had chicken Parmesan and he loved it. I had the basil tortellini Alfredo. The chicken was really good, I like how it was cut up into strips on top of the tortellini. The balsamic was so delicious. I really loved the flavors. We had the arancini risotto bites to start and they were the best I've ever had. The complimentary bread was really good, too! I had the Primo mule, it was perfect! What an amazing transformation this business has taken. The inside has the best ambiance. I love the way it looks and feels. The fresh flowers and plants are such a nice touch. You can tell that the owners have been in the business for a while and they really know what they are doing. We will be back soon! read more

Went to Primo's for the first time for my birthday. I was amazed by the renovations that have been made to the building from the prior restaurant. They look nothing alike. This is eclectic and nicely decorated. Our waitress was very attentive, super nice and helpful. My friend ordered the evenings limoncello chicken with risotto special and I ordered the chicken marsala both were very good. We ended the meal with lemon ricotta cake and coffee. We sat and talked for quite sometime and were never rushed or made to feel we overstayed our welcome which was such a pleasure. We were discussing an event we are planning and enjoying the atmosphere while doing so. The restaurant was not busy at the time but even if it were, I still think we would be treated the same way. I recommend people try this restaurant. We will be going back again soon. read more

Our first time! It's unassuming from the outside, in fact, parking was a challenge. But when we got inside we were pleasantly surprised by the decor and ambience. Additionally, there are two sides of the restaurant. I didn't figure out the what the theme was for each. But I found out as we arrived around 740pm and there was entertainment at 8pm. More on that. The menu was extensive, we started with mussels. They were very flavorful, with lots of garlic and chourico. My wife ordered the salmon on risotto and I had the pork shank. Bot meals were delicious and well cooked and presented. Although the music was a bit loud, it was later in the evening now and I learned that the place stayed open until 2am, explaining the band. I am sorry it took us so long to finally dine at Primos! We have had their catering before and were thrilled to see their restaurant is even better. Our waitress could not have been friendlier and the food was outstanding. I will be dreaming of those arancini forever! We got two pizzas (Shannon's hot honey pepperoni is a long time favorite of mine!) and two entrees. The portions were generous and delicious. My kids convinced us to get two desserts and the pistachio gelato was perfect! I wish I took pictures, but the ambience was wonderful and cozy.
