The chicken sandwich was half decent, but the steak and cheese sandwich was terrible. The cheese tastes really bad and ruined the whole sandwitch. When the owner had asked how the sandwitch was, I told him the truth. He got very upset about the fact I didn't like it. He kept saying "I have sold a lot of them" and "Nobody else has complained". He did not have to be so rude as everyone has their own tastes. Over all, it was a bad experience and I will not be coming back. read more

Great spot off the beaten path. Weiners were fresh and delicious. I ordered a spinach pie and had them add pepperoni and cheese. It was very good and I'm glad I stopped in. I ate outside at the picnic table, which was tucked away in the shade and really wasn't attended to by the looks of it. The inside wasn't to welcoming to guests, as the covid measures were still in place and the dining area was blocked off. As I was there, several happy customers came in and out quickly to grab take out. I was surprised how busy it got here. Some took it to go and some ate in there car. I opted for the unwelcoming picnic table to avoid the weiner smell in my car that seems to last for days :) read more

It's a very unassuming diner with little signage. We stopped here for a quick bite after berry picking across the street and it hit the spot. This little joint served up some very tasty weiners all the way. We also enjoyed a steak and cheese sandwich... crispy buttered, grilled grinder roll chock full of griddle fried shaved steak topped with cheese. It was closed for indoor dining when we were there but has a retro, original feel of what you'd expect for a local eatery. Service was friendly and prompt. Worth a visit! read more

Small town place to get hot weiners!! There is nothing special or fancy about Jessie's but it definitely hits the spot for some hot wieners if yoh don't want to go down to olneyville. I havent been here in a long time but have gone plenty vefore we moved. The weiners here can be a little overly salty sometimes but still pretty yummy. An old fashion diner Jesse's has definitely seen a few years, perhaps even a few decades. I don't know for sure but I suspect this is the type of place that has had other names in the past but still never really changes. The décor is definitely old diner. Some archaic diner stools along the counter and a few tables filling up the rest of the inside. Even an old picnic table outside for those who want to watch the traffic go by while they eat. The menu is also old diner. The usual breakfast stuff and then various sandwiches, burgers, some specials and of course the infamous NY system wiener that Rhode Island is known for but I suspect few native Rhode Islanders ever really had. This is the type of place that gets repeat customers and everyone seems to know everyone else. You should know exactly what to expect when going into a diner like this because they have been doing the same thing for a long, long time. read more

Stay away! This place is dirty the service was average and the food was poor. I had a couple wieners with everything, I noticed instead of celery salt which is what you put on a wiener they just put regular salt and a lot of it whew. The fries were good. I ordered a cup of chili, I tasted it and it was nasty. I didn't try the steak sandwich like another reviewer spoke highly of but even if the steak sandwich was good I would never want to come back and even try, I've seen enough. Nothing wrong with the food. Plain, good, made to order meals available. I was somewhat appalled at the sad, worn interior. The walls were scuffed, and yellowed (cooking grease?). The vinyl on some of the chairs was ripped. Apparently one counter needed repairs and was replaced, but not the other, so they did not match. There must be a lack of storage space also, as evidenced by the stack of cartons in the corner. Service was fine as our waitress was pleasant, cheery, and helpful. read more

If you find yourself in the area and are hungry then it is worth your while to stop for a bite. You can't beat an ol' standard of two all the way with fries. If you don't know what two all the way are just get it! Hot weiners are a RI staple and this place has some of the best! Great seafood specials like chowder and clamcakes plus pizza, burgers, grinders and breakfast items are the usual menu. As others have said inside is old school diner all the way but that is just fine. Fancy is not the goal...good food at decent price is! Note: map location on Yelp is slightly off. This would get another star, but it's admittedly a sort of hole in the wall restaurant. This restaurant was our regular eating place back when it was in West Warwick. Years after moving out of state, we had to do some searching to find their new location, and finally we did. There isn't ambiance but the food is still the best. Stopped by to check it out because of the looks of the place. Had one of the best meatball grinders I've had in a long time, reminded me of my Nonni's kitchen growing up. It's not the yellow and green of a Subway shop, so if you need that sort of thing you won't find it here. But if you're looking for a great grinder from people not employees, give it a go. read more

They have amazing customer service and even better food with their wieners and their sandwiches being their best options in my opinion. I'd definitely take a stop here if you are around and even more so if your from out of RI because NY system is mostly only found in RI so this could be a great experience to try some new stuff. I haven't been here in years but when I lived on Pippin Orchard Road, Jesses was a great place to go not just for convenience but for good food. Real nice guy, food was always food and always got a large portion. I have to stop in there sometime soon and say hello, especially after seeing the photo of the "old fashioned chocolate shake". I've never had it but Brian S' photo sold me! Don't let the look of the place turn you away.. Things just don't match lol but if you're in the area definitely give the place a try. After writing this review almost makes me want to take my half cooked chicken out of the oven and go give the guy a hello. I'm not actually sure of his hours anymore though because the last I heard there was an issue with the parking and road visibility because so many trucks park close to the road causing a bad view of Plainfield Pike for drivers turning off Pippin Orchard. So, I believe Jesse may have started opening later in the day until later in the evening.. Which works for me! I feel I never made the effort to drive by before closing and pick up dinner to eat later, hopefully he is open later now. Well, I feel this was a bit much for a Yelp review but oh well! read more
