There is no half star review so I gave it one. This place would have been shut down if the health department was there. Stopped in for the first and last time today. Place looks like an old diner - that's not a problem. I normally don't post bad reviews but I'd advise everyone within the sight of this review not to eat there. Problem I have is the following: Cross contamination 1. Employees did and did not use gloves. 2. Employees did not wash hands at all after touching anything including telephones, money, used dishes and food containers. 3. Some employees seen wearing the same pair of gloves touching raw meat, cooked food, assembling dishes, touching food containers, clean dishes, all with the same gloves. 4. Employees used the same butter for toast, grill, serving with the same spoon that touched all those things. Grill was dirty and unsanitary. 5. Food assembled on the same unit raw and dirty items were on. 6. Overall grime and dinginess. Film on seats and counters. Food 1. Had great options and cheap prices. 2. Stuffies were like cat food, so unless you like wet food, don't get them. 3. Mozzarella sticks tasted like old grease. 4. Spaghetti and sausage. Extra thick spaghetti and sausage were good, however, it wasn't drained so they sat in a pool of water with the darkest thickest red sauce that flavorless I've ever seen. It was overall terrible. 5. Meatloaf dinner, good size portion, but again, the meat had a cat foods consistency. 6. Soda is sold by can for $2.95 each. Overall, unless you want to risk getting sick, and that was the biggest issues I posted- not even all of them... I wouldn't eat there. I barely touched my food after I saw what I saw. Never again. Picked up fish and chips Sunday. Haven't been since George and his wife owned it and Charlie was a cook. As far as I remember Timmy went back to Greece many moons ago. (70's?) As far as the food. It is basic comfort food. Great breakfasts I'm told. But as far as the fish and chips they would be perfect with less batter. The fish was wonderful when you popped the batter off it. Cole slaw was great! French fries are the same crinkle cuts as anywhere. Looking for decently priced basic food. Give Timmys a try! read more

This is the kind of place you dream of after a licentious night of drinking or during a hangover. Nothing pretentious here, just a nice group of down to earth folks who are eager to see that you have a delicious meal and a nice experience. I don't drink coffee often but their diner brew is satisfying and I needed the perk. I showed up just as they opened and in my sweaty yoga gear; I was thoroughly embarrassed but starving and couldn't wait another minute for food. No dirty looks, no presumptuous notions and no melodramatic 'where are you from?' talk. Lovely flowers all around the exterior, clean and welcoming decor and wicked-inexpensive deals for breakfast. I was so intrigued by this spot having moved into the area a couple of years ago. Going to the small post office on Conimicut, you can't miss this place. So off I finally went, right after a trip from the Post Office. By myself. As soon as I walked into this place, my expectations of a modern diner went out the door. Let's start with the server who gave me a quizzical look. For some reason, I felt eyed with suspicion walking in by myself, and for the first time, too. I was asked to seat wherever I wanted; easy enough as the place was not that full. I took the seat to the right as soon as one entered the doors. Bad move. I am not visible from the breakfast counter where everyone huddled. There was no one else in my area, so my service was slow instead of fast. No sooner had I been there when I realized that Timmy's has been in the area a while; regular customers would come in and get familiar, cheerful greetings and service. In contrast, the one I received was not so enthusiastic. (But wait, I am a good tipper...) The food menu is all right. They serve breakfast all day and there's also the lunch menu. That's a plus; having breakfast available late, that is. However, there really was nothing to set this place apart from other diners. It feels like it needs an update on the whole feel -- the menu, the place, the service. All in all, it's a reliable greasy spoon for the neighborhood residents, I reckon. Quiet and relatively clean restaurant with a friendly waitress. Excellent fried scallops, overly crispy French fries, and mild, not-overly-wet cole slaw. New England clam chowder, unlike practically every one across the Country, had a nice clammy flavor. Kudos. Watch out at the door to the men's room. A local diner that has been here forever. A bit on the small side, it can get crowded at certain times, but service is always efficient. Definitely has a local diner atmosphere with busy waitresses that are friendly but have a slightly sarcastic sense of humour that can be extremely entertaining while waiting for your food. I've only actually popped in for lazy Saturday morning breakfasts during the summer so unfortunately I'm unable to comment on the lunch/dinner menu. Their breakfast selections however are totally primo. I'm head over heels in love with their fried potatoes which are oh-so heavenly cooked in drippings of their other morning tidbits (ie, BACON). As I've stated in other reviews prior, I have a peculiar curiosity with how my eggs are cooked... and man oh man they got it right every time. Perfection. Definitely not diet friendly but delicious. I also enjoyed the open kitchen and being able to watch the staff at work while waiting. (I've always enjoyed looking on as people cook, odd as it sounds.) The service was prompt and friendly every time no matter how busy they were. Gotta love that classic diner feel! I'd definitely recommend Timmy's should you happen to be in the area. It's a shame I haven't had a chance to go back recently as I'm hardly ever in Warwick any more. read more

The eggs while fresh weren't the most special of things, you could tell that they used frozen spinach in the omelettes. The service was slow and the place with a little dingy. My boyfriend and I went to Timmy's this past weekend for breakfast, and it was pretty good. The place isn't super clean, and the waitresses were kind of miserable, but the food was yummy. My french toast was amazing and my cheese omelette was both delicious and the perfect size. The home fries were cooked just right, and my boyfriend loved his sausage and pancakes. He said that his scrambled eggs were a little overcooked and my coffee was pretty gross, but other than that, we loved it. We'll definitely go back again! read more

It could use a tune up on the decor but its a diner. i come here to eat good food at a good price in a short time. im not here to pay extra for the ambiance. Pancakes and such get a thumbs up and the prices a well within the norm. Some places are getting a little carried away with charging anywhere from $6-$8 for the two egg toast and home fries special.Not here. two people can have breakfast for $10-$12. perfectly reasonable. The service is always friendly and attentive. Come here a few times and the staff will remember you.. So far so good. The surprise with Timmy's in my opinion comes with the rest of the menu. They have a legit veal parm dinner-two cutlets with pasta and soup which is more than enough. The chili is great. Just the way i like it with peppers and onions and lots of flavor. When they have it on special try the stuffed portabella mushroom. Its a huge hub cap of a mushroom stuffed with crab meat stuffing. Wow. Very Good. The lasagna is a SLAB and tastes like grandma used to make. Top notch with the edges nice and crispy from the oven. The hot wieners are as good as you get this side of Olneyville. I know im spouting heresy here but I actually think Timmys are better. Its a Brady vs Rogers argument at the least. Try the fries too- crispy and hot every time. Lastly: Hands down the best fountain Coke around. Just right. I dont know if its the mix % with the syrup but its different. Enjoy! read more

If you are a vegetarian, do not eat here. This restaurant has the most cross-contamination I have ever seen in my life. Not one member of the staff washed their hands between serving food, making food or dealing with money. The same knife that cut my cheeseburger club also Cut vegetables without being cleaned or even wiped. I witnessed the cook grab raw chicken with his bare hands and put it on the grill then without even wiping, let alone washing his hands, he proceeded to cut vegetables with that same dirty knife and still raw chicken hands and proceeded to add said vegetables to a container to add to other people's food. I have to be honest, my wife and I stopped in for breakfast a few weeks ago. No complaints on the food, it was fine. Only problem was that the place was visibly dirty, the floor was obviously not swept or washed in days. There was also dead beetle under my table that looked like it was there for days. I think Timmy's is the best diner in a very wide area around Warwick - good food at good prices. I've enjoyed many meals here - they use good ingredients and the service is friendly and prompt. My favorite is the Veal Parmesan and fries. This is the real deal - pounded real thin veal cutlets with a very delicious dark red sauce. I'm a big fan of veal parm, and I've had it everywhere in RI (and beyond). Timmy's veal parm stands up equal to any I've had on Federal Hill, and it's half the price! read more

I've eaten at Timmy's quite a few times and never had an issue up until I decided to try their blueberry pancakes and got sick off of them but my mom who went with me was fine and I just thought It was my body's way of saying blueburries just arent for me so I gave the restaurant another chance and I tried their fish and chips along with one of my friends and we both now have food poisoning :) thanks Timmy's your food absolutely sucks and I wouldn't recommend coming here if I were you unless you enjoy fluid coming out of both ends of you at 4 am read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars solely based on the fact they have good wieners because that's about the only good thing about this place. Coming from someone who works in the restaurant industry I know that sometimes people can be having a bad day and can sometimes be rude so my first time in there when I was greeted with a mean mug from the waitress I didn't let that deter me from here. But after going a few more times and the same woman rude as ever I knew that this was just the way she was. Not friendly at all. I've also found hair in my food almost every time I've gone there (probably four times) which is disgusting. Really lousy service and food that is no better. I've tried broke breakfast and lunch here. The food was terrible. The chicken salad sour and the burgers overcooked. One in our party had the wieners. They were quite good. The restaurant does not offer unsweetened iced tea. The entire place is filthy. If you need to go to the bathroom I suggest going outside before you go into this bathroom. I'm surprised to health department has not shut this place down. A place like this with poor food should have amazing service. The service is unfriendly. As a former Chef in the industry, my expectations are high when it comes to ingredients, execution, and service. Timmy's hit all three on the head. I went in about ten minutes after opening on a Tuesday morning. I ordered 3 special plates (2 eggs toast and homefries for 2.95) and a coffee to sit with while they were cooked. The plates were done just as I finished my coffee (about 3 minutes), and the portion of homefries was generous. Can't, obviously, portion 2 pieces of toast and 2 eggs. The diner brew coffee was perfect. So much so that I said something to the waitress. 3 plates to go, and java for here, eleven bucks. I've already had their hot weiniers on numerous occasions, and can attest to their excellence as well. HUGE portion of fries when I ordered a large with the weiners. If they had a TV, I'd be there even if I DIDN'T want food, and just needed a coffee. The place is still 5 stars without one. read more

Disappointing. If you are a fan of the western omelette or jam on your bread then you may want to consider going elsewhere. According to online sources for the "standard" western omelette it has eggs, green and red bell peppers, onion, ham, (cheese if u like) and some "western" seasoning, a standard recipe online notes thyme. However, this dish was a compacted flat w zero flavor, barely any onion, and no bell peppers. When asked about it they said this is how they make it, which is fine, but please specify the missing ingredients when someone orders it or name it something other than a commonly ordered and known entity such as the Western. When we asked for jelly or jam, thinking we could at least get some flavor to finish the meal w some sweet, strawberry, blueberry, or marmalade jelly/ jam, they gave us a dollop of grape jelly and said they have no other flavor. I have only written rave reviews on Yelp. However, because I only went here (passing a few other diners on the drive) because of the Yelp reviews it is warranted that I share our experience especially since it contrasted so greatly to the existing reviews. This is the third time I've gone to Timmy's and for the third time I've been surely disappointed. The place is filthy and the waitress was not friendly at all. While I sat there with a friend, the waitress was nice as can be to other patrons but when she came to my table, she didn't even care enough to ask how the meal was and threw the check on the table then walked away without a word. Her bigoted demeanor and closed mindedness was proudly displayed the moment I walked in the door. She'll be happy to know that my friend and I will never walk through the door again. read more
