I'd have never known this place was here!! It's set back along the water and not on a main road. I met a friend for lunch and immediately liked the atmosphere inside. Service was excellent. We each got appetizers and entrees. I thought the clam chowder was pretty good. The clam cakes were a bit chewy but I've never had them before so maybe that's typical. The calamari was tasty. My scallop entree was ok, nothing memorable. I prefer larger diver scallops to the small type used in this dish. I didn't like the mashed squash I chose as my side. The server did say she'd bring something else but I had more than enough food already. My friend really enjoyed the fish tacos. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. I would come back here and would like to try the fish and chips next time.

Perfect day to sit outside and eat fish tacos! They were lightly breaded and came with corn salsa and a small sprinkling of homemade coleslaw. My husband enjoyed his eggplant sub which came with fries. Olivia was a sweet waitress and her suggestions help steer us to good choices .

Atmosphere was beautiful, they also have an outdoor patio which is perfect for summer dining! The parking lot was almost full when we arrived and there really wasn't on-street parking available either, luckily one spot opened up for me. Our waitress was polite and attentive, and the food came out in a reasonable time. Food was delicious and they give you warm bread, which I'm a huge fan of! Noise level was a little loud but it was very busy too. I would definitely go back again.

Had a pretty pleasant experience at the Crows Nest. Our work group bombarded them on a Sunday evening with two giant tables, but our server handled that like a pro and was very attentive to our needs and splitting checks etc. the room we were in was nice and had a fun fish tank backdrop. I'm not from RI, so of course I had to order all the foods I can't get in NE. Went with the baked stuffed lobster, it was a great amount of food, and I enjoyed it but after seeing the traditional butter variation had some regret of not going with the classic version. I also enjoyed the creamy NE clam chowder soup. The server talked up most of their sides and could not really give a concrete recommendation for one, so I went with the mashed potatoes, and will say that was the only underwhelming part of the meal, as their was nothing special about them, but I had enough lobster to not worry about eating them. Also enjoyed a classic old fashioned for my drink. Pricing at the time for the lobster was around $55, seemed pretty reasonable for the amount of lobster given.

Rating: 3.5 Came to try the place for dinner. It was pretty busy but we were able to be sat down relatively quickly as it's a large establishment. The place has its own parkings available. Inside is pretty typical of seafood restaurant around the area but with larger scale and do offer outside seatings as well. We ordered raw seafood sampler to start and i got lobster mac and cheese. Started with some bread and butter. Simple but solid. Seafood sampler was okay. Came with 6 oysters, shrimp and cherrystones. Oyster was probably the best and the horseradish sauce was also pretty good. Cherry stones were small and didn't have a-lot of meat and shrimp tasted and felt like frozen. Lobster mac and cheese was pretty tasty. Lots of cheese and al dente macaroni and good mount of lobster meat. Only thing is that there was a piece of lobster shell mixed in. My partner got the fish and chips and substituted coleslaw for steamed broccoli but they forgot the broccoli. We asked the waitress and they brought the broccoli quickly. Service was decent but they did forget the broccoli side. Overall the place was ok. Nothing really stood out and the price was on the higher end but without a good reason. Lobster shell piece in a lobster mac and cheese and missing broccoli side instead of coleslaw didn't help. Probably would not come back

Nice hidden gem! Was in town for a wedding and grabbed a drink and snack. The lobster roll was great! Staff extremely friendly and nice outdoor seating. Would definitely return.

The food here was delicious and the service outstanding. The place was clean and picturesque. I had the clam chowder, fried seafood platter, and chocolate cake. All delicious.

It was my first time trying Crows Nest and has been on my hit list for months now, I am happy I finally got a chance to try it. The restaurant was wide open and quiet but the hostess sat us in the worst seat of the house so I asked to move. The waitress was so sweet and very accommodating and moved our seats into a booth with no hesitation. She turned the experience right around and was attentive, friendly, and quick. The restaurant is located by the water in Warwick. It has a modern nautical atmosphere. The restaurant is super clean! One of my favorite things is the thoughtful decor. It gave Rhody vibes with a beautiful fish tank, octopus wallpaper, and a seashell chandelier. I do wish that the food matched the atmosphere. For the price on the menus, I was disappointed that they have frozen broccoli vs. fresh broccoli. I got a wide variety of food to try: the stuffies, chowder & clam cakes, stuffed shrimp, Caesar salad, and boneless fried chicken. My favorite thing was the stuffies.

This restaurant is right next to a marina and has a great view of the water. The decor is nice and coastal. The hostess and server were great! Now onto the star of the show, the food and drinks! Both of our cocktails were delicious and well made. The lobster roll phenomenal and the stuffed shrimp were also very yummy. Definitely a place worth stopping in for a lunch with a beautiful view! Parking can be limited, but that is the only negative!

We heard the Crows nest had a new owner so we tried it again. They did a great job making it super coastal looking inside & a great outside covered bar area & dining . We had nachos first they were great then we all had something different. The small plate portion scrod was just the right side. The server was fantastic totally in the weeds with serving most of the patio but she was so sweet & funny the rest didn't matter then the staff were all hands on deck they got so busy . We weren't rushed to us that worth a star lol

Chowder was very good. Taste was much different than anything I have had before, plenty of clams. The potato's were a bit undercooked. Swordfish was fantastic as well as the baked stuffed shrimp. Very nice decor and friendly staff. Arrive early, parking can be a challenge.

Do they offer gluten free options?

I believe they do. Check on line at crowsnestri.com or call them at (401) 732-6575

    Is this restaurant expensive?

No, it's pretty reasonable. The lobster roll, for example, is going to be based on market price, but everything else seemed pretty standard.

Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The restaurant has a tree house in front of the entrance which explain the name of the place. Inside is beautifully decorated with flowers, books, old books and decorations. It's a busy place so we made a reservation. We were taken to one of the table and were seated right away. They offer various different type of dishes including sandwich, seafood, mac and cheese, salad, pizza and more. We ended up getting few things to share with the group. We got tree house tavern salad, special Thai mussel, sweet potato pizza, lobster mac and cheese, and whipped feta and ricotta. Everything end up arriving all at once. Treehouse tavern salad was slightly sweet and refreshing with candied walnut, apple and vinegary dressing. Thai mussel was flavorful with hint of Thai curry and coconut flavor. The broth paired very well with baguette. Sweet potato pizza was cheesy and savory with hint of sweetness from the sweet potato. Lobster mac and cheese was cheesy and flavorful with lobster chunks. Whipped feta and ricotta was sweet and savory pairing well with the baguette. All the food was tasty and easy very unique for the most part. We also had their desert which they bring full samples of all their desert to show. We ended up sharing cheese cake because we were pretty full. Service was good but the place was but the server was but awkward as little details were missing from the service. Lack of trays for mussel shells, brought desert with candle as it was my birthday but was blown out because of the fan. The server turned off the fan but left it off so it was hot inside for a while. I think service could use a bit more attention. Overall the place was good and food was excellent. They offer unique dishes you don't often find in other restaurants. The ambience is also nice and it reminds me of old time tree house. I would go back again m.

Our server, Jenna, visited our table soon after we were seated and brought us water. We were waiting for other members of our party, and she never made us feel rushed or pressured. While waiting, we put in drink orders and the "Lavender Fields Forever" cocktail that I ordered (Rhodium Gin, lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, snap pea simple syrup) was so delicious, and garnished with a beautiful sprig of lavender flowers. We ordered two appetizers: Point Judith Calarmari and Corn Arepas. The calamari had too many tentacles and not enough rings for me, but the arepas were excellent. The cornmeal base was crispy and hot, and there was just the right amount of meat and toppings. For entrees, our group ordered the Chimichurri Grilled Chicken sandwich, The rigatoni with pink sauce and sausage with crispy chicken as an add on, the short ribs over mashed potatoes, the Wood-Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop, and the Rib Eye Steak. We all enjoyed our entrees. It is evident that Iron Works uses high quality ingredients and puts a great amount of care into the preparation fo their food. We split three desserts amongst the five of us: The flourless chocolate torte, the cheesecake, and the Banoffee Sundae. The flourless torte was rich and very chocolately, and the cheesecake was very good as well. I'm not a fan of bananas, so I didn;t try the Sundae, but the friend who ordered it enjoyed it. After dinner, we sat and chatted for awhile,, and we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. This was a very enjoyable evening in a great restaurant environment with delicious food.

Fried chicken sandwich was honestly not that great. Looked like it was fried too long, darkened. The cut did not have a lot of meat and it was very dry. The sauce and brioche bun helped it to balance it a bit. Fries were good. Overall the food was ok at best. We decided to try their dessert. We got the easter special egg cheese cake and carrot cake. The desert was excellent. Egg cheese cake had egg and nest looking chocolate frosting which made it look in theme for easter. It had nice creamy cheese flavor with chocolate frosting and good crust at the bottom. Carrot cake was moist and delicious. Service was ok. We had a new server that seemed like was not fully trained yet with knowledge about their menu. Wait was long for the main meal. I can see that she was trying though. Overall the place was ok. I loved that the churro was warm and the drink itself was really tasty. However, I think there was way too much whipped cream and not enough of the actual drink. For my main dish, I chose the Barbacoa Benedict - a super popular choice according to the waitress, and for good reason! The Benedict really was delicious, the meat was tender, the flavors popped, and I love a good bolo roll as a base. But, the homefries were SO salty. Priced a little highly in my opinion- I got the meat Omelette. It was tasty, it had a fair bit of carne asada in it and it was well seasoned. It also had some bacon and chorizo in there if memory serves me. I thought the portion could have been a little bit better for $23, or better yet, just make it $18-19. There's no reason an Omelette should come with a $23 price tag. I was actually satisfied with the portion given the mound of home fries. Which by the way were very tasty albeit, over salted. The braised beef Benedict that my wife got was very good, my only critique on it would be to toast the bolo a bit more because the whole thing was one texture. It missed the crunch you get with an English muffin as the base. I also thought the beef could have been more seasoned. One other order at the table included the breakfast tacos. You get 4 tacos piled with food. Actually looked like you got more than the Omelette. Noted for next time. I didn't order this, but tried it at the table- the spiked horchata drink was tasty. A little heavy on the whipped cream but it was a good drink! We were surprisingly the only ones in there besides one other table. Doesn't seem like brunch has caught on here? Nonetheless, I think you should give it a try, we were well taken care of and there wasn't anything we didn't like.
