I feel as if you get a good amount for what you pay and it can fill you pretty fast so you'll have leftovers. However the oxtails I don't know they just weren't what I was expecting the flavor is a bit off i I wouldn't know I would've just gone to a Jamaican restaurant plus it mostly mine and fat there is barely any meat. Update: I am quarter of the way through and I found a HAIR!!!!!!!!!!! I will not be going back ever again!

I love going to Pito's because the food is genuine.

I love going to Pito's because the food is genuine. They give you a lot. I had yellow rice with pork and beef. The seasoned rice is the bomb!!! They don't take debit cards which is weird, so bring cash. All in all not a bad place.

They need to have a sign when you order that they don't accept credit cards. Other than that their food is awesome!

This also includes a drink! I got the stewed chicken, stewed goat, and spaghetti. If you never had Dominican spaghetti before, please do try! It's super flavorful, a little sweet, and a little salty. It's so good. Stewed chicken was good but not the best. What one lacks, the other compliments. The rice here is so moist and fluffy. Along with the sides they offer. I opted for macaroni salad. Highly recommended. The stewed goat was a little salty but that's up my alley lol I can see it being a little issue for some but I love salty food lol Very disappointed they didn't have oxtails though. It was only 2pm and they were out already. Overall, let's just say, I wish this place was closer to home!!

We were hungry then found this place while we were looking for a place to eat. Totally unplanned, just wanted to get a bite to eat. This restaurant is located on Broad St (busy street) next to McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and other places to eat. I'm so glad we walked into this establishment. My boyfriend and his younger brothers are Puerto Rican. They asked me if I've ever tried Mofongo. I've always wanted to try it, so I ordered the Mofongo with chicharron. Best decision ever. What it is, is mushed up plaintains mixed with Pernil (Puerto Rican slow roasted pork). Then topped off with chicharrones. It also came with a red sauce (not spicy) and a white sauce. It was so good: The ladies working there at the time were very friendly too. There is a bathroom inside for customers only and a lot of tables to sit. You just sit yourself. Can't wait to come back to Providence just for this restaurant. I'm hooked!

Food selections had a nice variety. I ordered a plate with rice and pigeon peas and stewed pork ribs which is accompanied with a small salad The rice was flavorful and nice and fluffy and the stewed ribs a was 1 of the better versions I've had. I also order a large mundongo (tripe soup) A side of white rice. So I gave 3 stars that's a because it was not the easiest place to place an order with some challenges with the language barriers. And the whole process seems a slow since all the food is already prepared. It would seem pretty simple to point scour into the containers and bag it up and out the door. But was a slow process. The food would get a 4 stars for that nice flavors and freshness. But the mundongo I pointed and ordered never made it to my bag. When I got it home, it was a large container of the stewed beans that is usually used to top the white rice. So I couldn't add my review on what I did not get.
