First time ordering from here, got it on Grubhub, so we love that convenience! The crunch on the bread was I actually really liked the flavor combos on the Ginny. Also ordered the empanadas (beef and chicken) which were filled to capacity! The chicarrón comes with hotsauce as well, I had just taken it out.

RI Food Fights Wings Review: The place: Private parking lot, clean and modern interior. A few tables. Cafeteria style ordering. The wings: Crunchy, meaty and flavorful. We went to 10 stops on our Wing day and this one was our hidden gem. The restaurant gave us a sampler- three flavors for the food fight. I cannot speak for flavor three but I tried the garlic parmesan and chimichurri. The garlic parmesan was DELICIOUS! Super crispy and packed with flavor. The chimichurri was very fresh and crunchy as well. It wasn't our top rated wing for the competition but this place surprised us and ranked pretty high. The service: slow. For the fact that nobody was ahead of us when we arrived, we waited too long for a cafeteria style type of food that looks more like a 'fast' food type of establishment. After waiting 25 minutes, someone emerged from the back. He approached our table to review our order and confused me. He apologized for running out to the store and I thought he was going to just start making our order but about 5 minutes later our wings arrived. He was extremely friendly for the rest of our visit. The strawberry passion drink is really sweet but I liked it!

Honestly, I wish I took more pictures of all the food that our party had. I was desperate for authentic Latin food after a sad trip to Panama left me wanting more. I ordered the pernil bowl and that was absolutely amazing. The pernil was cooked to perfection and the rice was sticky and perfect. All of the toppings complemented it wonderfully. Extra points for the chimichurri sauce, which was out of this world! Others in our party had empanadas which were delicious, a chicken sandwich, which was good, and the Cuban, which was gigantic. I recently read a review that said if you order the large, they actually just give you two sandwiches. Everything on point Muy Delicioso.

Noticing that we were sharing, the kitchen halvd the delicious tacos for us!

What a fabulous spot to find as part of RI Food Fights TacoMania! Located in a busy neighborhood, a small parking lot makes stopping here easy. The menu has a very Caribbean base but includes diverse dishes like tacos & wings. Since we were on a taco mission, we just got to try those & also took several empanadas to go for later. Service was fabulous & the space is bright & immaculately clean. The cook even noticed that we were sharing tastes, so halved the tacos for us. The tacos were delicious, as were our empanada snacks later. While there we saw others eating wings & a Cuban sandwich which looked fabulous! Can't wait to return to try more!

Dayum!! Everything was amazing! Loved the homemade sauces. Fresh authentic and tasty definitely will be back.

    Ham and cheese empanada

We had this order delivered. The empanada was horrible--hollow with some crumbles that tasted dry. The fish was not deboned so very difficult to eat. The chicharrones were tough and over cooked with lots of fat. The sandwich bread was hard. The filling in the sandwich was scarce. Most of the food was under seasoned also. Will not order again from here. Disappointed!!

Absolutely delicious!!! The cubano was huge, I got the large and couldn't finish it all. So full of flavor! The staff really friendly and attentive. Loved hearing some bachata playing while we ate, highly recommend

Great authentic food and great service! I think they probably have the best chimichurri sauce I've ever had. The chicken wings are incredibly meaty and super crispy. The place itself is incredibly clean. The manager himself came out to chat with us and you can tell he really puts pride into his work. I can't wait to come back!

Chicken SOFT SHELL TACO with Jalapeño and Pulled Pork Taco with Cotija

This place is absolutely wonderful! It's an unassuming, casual spot with a scattered menu. They offer Cubanos, Chicken Parm, wings, and a variety of sandwiches. While the menu doesn't really seem to have a central theme all the dishes are executed wonderfully. We went for Tacomania as part of Rhode Island Food Fights and were offered a chicken and pulled pork taco. The pulled pork was the best taco I've had in a long time. The pork was tender and juicy, and the corona cheese sprinkled on top provided a nice creaminess and the lettuce provided a textural crunch that was essential. Both tacos were massive compared to most other taco places in the area. If you come here hungry you will not be disappointed by the portion sizes. We also tried their Cubanos. Quick tip, a small is a single Cubano sandwich, but if you get a large, they give you two whole sandwiches! The bread was toasted perfectly and the ham was fatty and rich. Also above average for the different Cubanos I've had in the area. We didn't get a chance to try their sweet corn but a couple next to us got some and it looked amazing! Only thing that would make it better is more seating! It's not the easiest place to get to from Providence, but it's well worth it. Can't wait to come back again!

Had a feeling I was in the right place when I got out of the car and was greeted by a passer by with, 'welcome to the ghetto!' The low key spots are typically the home-run, grand slam locations. My high rise socks and adidas hikers must have spoken for me. At any rate, walking into this location my first observation, immaculate. Clean, fresh, and meticulous would describe the atmosphere. They have two major options for the ordering process. You can approach the line and order direct based on view. The other option is to peruse the menu and order accordingly. We chose the menu. After much visual itinerating, choices were made. The wait is shorter than your typical restaurant and slower than your average fast food. They are working on the food, not just shoving it out. The quality is worth the wait. Take a peek at the pictures and assess for yourself. I highly recommend you allow your taste buds to speak. Do yourself a favor and order the street corn! Highest recommendation! Bon appetite fam...PS-I would put their cubano against any I've ever had, including little Havana in Miami.

    great pernil !!!

Not often in this part of Providence ... but if you're visiting one of the many businesses in the Cranston Street area ... you should stop in and try La Cocina Sabrosa . We were a little confused by the menu, but the owner explain to us why he has standard Italian fare along with Dominican delicacies. His brother, the chef, worked on Federal Hill at some of the best Italian restaurants, so they make GREAT Italian, but the Dominican food that we had was delicious. The buffet allows you to sample a bit of everything - I personally thought the pulled pernil was da bomb (note the charred skin from it on my plate - delicious!!! For this summer they also have fresh juices (passion fruit, strawberry, lemon, etc - that was a very nice treat!

Cocina has yet to disappoint in standards of delivery, food quality and taste! My go to is the chicharron with their soup. Stewed and shredded chicken in a rich broth served with a side of steamed white rice. Prices are very decent and the food satisfies every time. So glad to have them in my "backyard".

It's so good. Stewed chicken was good but not the best. What one lacks, the other compliments. The rice here is so moist and fluffy. Along with the sides they offer. I opted for macaroni salad. Highly recommended. The stewed goat was a little salty but that's up my alley lol I can see it being a little issue for some but I love salty food lol Very disappointed they didn't have oxtails though. This restaurant is located on Broad St (busy street) next to McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and other places to eat. I'm so glad we walked into this establishment. My boyfriend and his younger brothers are Puerto Rican. They asked me if I've ever tried Mofongo. I've always wanted to try it, so I ordered the Mofongo with chicharron. Best decision ever. What it is, is mushed up plaintains mixed with Pernil (Puerto Rican slow roasted pork). Then topped off with chicharrones. It also came with a red sauce (not spicy) and a white sauce. It was so good: The ladies working there at the time were very friendly too. There is a bathroom inside for customers only and a lot of tables to sit. You just sit yourself. Can't wait to come back to Providence just for this restaurant. I'm hooked!
