Great food and drinks presentation! Went with a group of friends fand we're treated excellent specially from the Chef Julissa. It was our first time and we got lucky with the Half off Wednesday's for Sangria and appetizers!

My family and i went to Punta Cana Bistro on my birthday. I had heard about it and seen pictures on instagram, and for months had been looking to go! It did nor disappoint! The food and drinks were great! Wait staff was nice (though they didn't speak a lot of English, good thing we understand spanish, but maybe other waiters there speak better english). My sister and i decided to split a platter that came with chicken, meat, seafood, and fried plantains. My father got the salmon with mashed Yuca; my mom got a chicken dish and my brother in law a steak dish. Everything was very flavorful, nicely cooked! We loved it! The drinks were awesome though i didn't see a drink menu, so i asked/showed them pictures i saw in Instagram. I had a coconut caipirinha and a passion fruit/coconut mojito. Loved them both! We had a couple deserts to share. I would definitely return and would recommend them to my friends!

Every time I come here it's such a great experience. The drinks are amazing, the food is on point, and the servers are great. This is probably the best frutti de Mari I've had, the sauce was flavorful and there was a great amount of seafood in it. The passion fruit sangria was strong in the alcohol but not to the point where you'd cringe, it was very fruity and tropical tasting. Our server was amazing as well, he was very polite and attentive. I will definitely continue coming here.

Awesome find! You would never know it's there if you're just walking down the street. My friend and I actually went to Punta Cana on vacation and this brought us right back. Everything seemed super authentic. We didn't get a chance to try the food but the drinks were some of the best I've had. They took a very long time to make but it was worth it after tasting them. We tried the caipirinha which is made with a Dominican rum. I had passion fruit flavor and my friend got strawberry - both amazing! The mojitos were awesome too, I recommend the kiwi. The decor was really nice and our waitress was really friendly and helpful. It was pretty quiet inside but we went on a Wednesday after work which is probably why. Will definitely be back!

Walked in around 7:30 on a Saturday night. It's not a very big restaurant so there aren't that many tables. All of the tables were taken, but there were four seats at the bar so we opted to sit there until a table opened up. I will say that the male bartender who was working that night was excellent - I didn't catch his name, but he was very friendly and accommodating. Drinks were great! I enjoyed my passionfruit sangria. Others got the tropical sangria and liked those as well. Pretty well stocked bar. I got the spicy oxtail risotto as my entrée and it could've used a tad bit more oxtail meat, but the risotto itself was plentiful, creamy, and delicious. I could only eat half before wrapping up the rest to go. Stole a bite of my friends coconut flan at the end of our meal and it was super yummy. Overall, I have had better Dominican food at a couple other restaurants so this wouldn't be a top choice for me. I also think they need to work on better execution of their food service. It took 45 minutes for us to receive our entrées after ordering. I appreciate that everything is being made fresh, but that's a pretty long time (especially when you're hangry). Perhaps they need a few more kitchen staff to move things along quicker.

Food was great! The pasta had a lot of sauce, which is rare for a place to give that much sauce on a pasta. The rest of my family has the steak, oxtail. And chicken breast and everything was great.

Alright, So a little different than expected. This isn't a big place at all and wouldn't honestly say it is more of a lunch spot than dinner. But food was decent, the spinach shrimp and rice was really good and the rice was cooked perfectly. I will say for the appetizer that was a complete miss. Bread was a little cold, toppings were bland. Overall the food needed some salt. But the entrees were good! My girlfriend got, mofongo and she really liked it. Perfect spot for business meetings!

The food was so delicious and very affordable, I got the seafood linguine with shrimp, calamari, clams, and mussels and it tasted amazing, a pretty good portion as well. For drinks we got the passion fruit sangria pitcher only $35 dollars and got 12 drinks out of it there was more left we couldn't finish. Would definitely come again. Service was good as well!

The employees were very polite and welcoming. Sanitation looked good inside and out. It's a very smooth and chill atmosphere. The food was AMAZING. I had a steak mofongo and I can honestly recommend it to anyone. I'd definitely return and I encourage my friends and family to eat here as well.

Decided to give this place a try since I was in the area. Had to wait to be seated even thou the place was pretty slow. Finally had a guy w a blue auto body repair shirt seat me. Waited 10min till I saw someone and had to call them over. I order a passion fruit mojito and their beef empanadas. 30 minutes later my empanadas arrived yet they hadnt taken my main meal order. Horrible service. The empanadas ended up being chiken breast which I had to send back. Order the meatball app and churrazco w smash yuca and potatoes. A waiter came back 10min later to tell me they didnt have the meatballs even thou it was on the menu. By this point I was extremely mad with how slow service. A hour goes by and churrasco arrive. It was good and my drink was amaizing but not worth the price for such horrible service. Will never be back! The manager gave me a lame excuse as to why they didnt have my two app orders.

Typical Dominican food. Sangrias were very good (both red and white). I was kind of upset that they didn't have yellow rice and beans, they only had white rice and rice with vegetables, which isn't exactly what I think of when I think of Dominican food. The portions are huge and the prices are decent. The ambience is as you would imagine. Very loud music playing in the background.

Came here on a suggestion from a friend. It was pretty late on a Saturday night when we were arrived but they were still open. The restaurant was small but the set up had an open feel to it. Pros: the serivice was good. We also had a great frozen drink. Morir Sonando with malibu rum and it was excellent! Cons: I really wanted to like this place but the food was meh and three out of the five dishes we asked about from the menu were not available which was frustrating. This area of providence has quite a few dominican restaurants. Most are cafeteria style without a bar. So this location having table service and a full bar has so much potential but they need to bring it with the flavor. Maybe some garlic sauce for the tostones. Go heavy on the seasoning. Everything I had this night was underwhelming and super bland and if you can get better tasting food up the street for less, that's where people will go. This was a nice restaurant with good service but I hope they read this and bring it with the food.

It's so good. Stewed chicken was good but not the best. What one lacks, the other compliments. The rice here is so moist and fluffy. Along with the sides they offer. I opted for macaroni salad. Highly recommended. The stewed goat was a little salty but that's up my alley lol I can see it being a little issue for some but I love salty food lol Very disappointed they didn't have oxtails though. It was only 2pm and they were out already. Overall, let's just say, I wish this place was closer to home!!

We were hungry then found this place while we were looking for a place to eat. Totally unplanned, just wanted to get a bite to eat. This restaurant is located on Broad St (busy street) next to McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and other places to eat. I'm so glad we walked into this establishment. My boyfriend and his younger brothers are Puerto Rican. They asked me if I've ever tried Mofongo. I've always wanted to try it, so I ordered the Mofongo with chicharron. Best decision ever. What it is, is mushed up plaintains mixed with Pernil (Puerto Rican slow roasted pork). Then topped off with chicharrones. It also came with a red sauce (not spicy) and a white sauce. It was so good: The ladies working there at the time were very friendly too. There is a bathroom inside for customers only and a lot of tables to sit. You just sit yourself. Can't wait to come back to Providence just for this restaurant. I'm hooked!

The food would get a 4 stars for that nice flavors and freshness. But the mundongo I pointed and ordered never made it to my bag. When I got it home, it was a large container of the stewed beans that is usually used to top the white rice. So I couldn't add my review on what I did not get.
