A Valentine's Day visit and what a great choice. The service was impeccable and they had a great special dinner for two menu as well. We opted to order from the menu and the was prepared fresh and arrived piping hot. My steak fajitas were the most tender I've had in this dish in years. Strongly recommended.

Flautas and rice., oh so nice.

We were out driving and came across this cute restaurant. We were both pleased by the selection and the quality of the food. The service was attentive and helpful. It was my first time but not my last here.

Condesa has multiple locations in RI. I went to the Smithfield location (the other one is in Warwick) and it had a nice modern contemporary Mexican theme. It felt clean inside with lots of seating. They share the parking lot with multiple other businesses so parking was limited. The service was quick and I got seated right away. The staff were friendly and attentive. They serve complimentary chips and salsa to start. For an appetizer, I ordered the chicken quesadilla which was large enough to even be a main course. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche for an app and it had a nice tangy flavor from the lime juice and onions. For an entree, I ordered the chicken fajitas and it was a good size portion, flavorful, with plenty of sautéed peppers & onions. It came with 3 tortillas but they were small so I would ask for a couple more next time. The margaritas were great and adds a nice touch to a Mexican dinner. The grand finale! Was the HOMEMADE churros and black raspberry ice-cream. Did I mention both were homemade?! YUM. The churros were super light and super fresh with plenty of cinnamon and sugar on them. It has a nice crispy outside and soft/chewy inside. I would be sure to try them if ever going to Condesa!

We sat at the bar and the service was great. The food came out fast and was delicious. We also got to listen to a mariachi band that came in tj play!! Fun time

    $9.26 is the "discount"

I've been coming to this restaurant for years, but after my recent experience, I won't be returning. In December, they had a promotion where you'd get a $10 bonus for every $50 gift card purchased. I bought $300 in gift cards, expecting to receive $60 in bonuses. When I paid, they gave me six separate bonus cards--but instead of actual gift cards, they were business cards stating they could only be used between January 1-31, with all restrictions, something that was never mentioned before I purchased. When I tried to use them in January, I was told I could only redeem one per table--even though we had separate checks! On top of that, when they applied the bonus card, they didn't even take the full $10 off the bill. Oh, and I had a Christmas party here a week prior to all of this happening... you'd think they would take care of their customers. Photos of the bill, not even taking the full $10 off and the bonus cards that are a joke! Now I'm stuck with useless bonus cards that expired and a gift card for a restaurant I no longer want to support. This is a clear example of poor customer service and misleading promotions. Be more transparent with your customers!

The other night my GF and I made our way back to Condesa for dinner since we loved it our first find and our second time was no different! Highly recommend the chicken fajitas! Loaded with tender chicken, peppers & onions (ask for extra shells). We also had barbocoa tacos that weren't bad but was a bit dry and skimped on the portion for the size of the shells. The HOMEMADE churros were the homerun though! Super delicious covered in cinnamon sugar and fried perfectly with a crisp outside and light inside! Highly recommend Condesa for their delicious Mexican food, friendly attentive wait staff, and very clean modern looking dinning experience.

This was my third time eating at this restaurant and there's a specific reason that I don't eat there more frequently since it's only five minutes from where I live. They have an absolutely huge parking lot, but this restaurant is very successful and very busy and they are located directly next-door to another extremely successful and busy restaurant, leaving very few parking spots available and even more so, fewer handicap spots for disabled people like myself. The ambience is pretty nice here and they have a large dining room, allowing lots of patrons quick seating. The dishes I've tried so far are very good and I thought the prices were about average. I definitely thought the prices were fair for the portion sizes and the quality of the food. Service here is always good, so I have no complaints there. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you're in the area.

So I was very pleased with every aspect of this restaurant. First off the atmosphere was great- it's clean, good music in the background and the decor is modern. The service is really good and everyone was attentive to the customers needs. The food was tasty and served nice and hot. Honestly I don't drink but the beverages look delicious. If I can suggest any food - the fajitas Mexicanos is the best bang for your buck. The chicken- steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection and made great tacos with the corn tortillas. I will visit again and if you have not you should too.

It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

We were the only ones there when we first walked in but more patrons came in as the night went on. Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. I really liked the music they were playing as well. I constantly found myself dancing along to it. For food I had the chili baby corn for an appetizer, chicken saag, and cheese naan. Also had a Limca to drink which are always wonderful. The baby corn was amazing! The portion was generous and I loved the chili sauce. It was appropriately dressed and fried to perfection. Chicken saag was also excellent. I prefer mine a little creamier but I loved the fresh taste and generous pieces of chicken.
