    Tacos - fish and carnitas
    Mary K.

I really wanted to love it here, it was good but not great. We've come here before when it was Nathaniel's and Bistro Locale kept pretty much the same interior and decor which was pretty swanky with a few added touches of their own. Plenty of lot parking. We got there for a Tuesday night and it was completely empty. We sat at the bar and there were probably only two other tables seated the entire time we were there. The bartender was very sweet and accommodating but there was def some confusion on the wine choices available - she said things were moved around on her so my friend settled with what they have ready available. The things we really enjoyed were the nachos and the desserts. The entrees were just ok. I would def give this another shot as we enjoyed the atmosphere and I think this would be a great after work spot.

Decor hasn't changed too much from when it was Nathaniel's Bistro. Seating is very comfy. On the menu, under coffee, it says to ask what the flavors are for the daily brew. When I did this, my server didn't seem to understand my question and pointed me to the specialty coffee drinks (lattes, etc.) instead. After trying to clarify twice, I gave up and just went for the more expensive dulce de leche latte, which wasn't as sweet as I was expecting but still sweeter than I actually wanted. For my brunch, I ordered the cheese biscuits that I believe came with barbacoa. This was very tasty. Although, I did notice that the server didn't ask me how I wanted my egg that comes with it. It seemed to have defaulted to over-easy even though the menu says "egg your way". Oh well. That's what I would've wanted anyway. My dining partner ordered the hot daily brew coffee, which was noticeably bitter. And the carnitas Benny. He enjoyed it. I thought it was just ok. He also asked for Tabasco and didn't get any hot sauce until near the end of his meal and it ended up being a green cholula sauce. Most of the menu items were $15, which is a bit steep for breakfast but not crazy for brunch. I would definitely order the cheddar biscuit and birria again. Maybe I should try their Bloody Mary. Will wait a few months to give them more time to settle in. Service was ultimately the downfall for us this morning and seemed apparent it was from lack of experience.

The Lincoln RI location has a beautiful, modern and vibrant atmosphere with great appointments. Beautiful chairs, lighting and tables. The food is A+ flavorful, although they didn't have enough staff to serve, our server was excellent. Took time to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Can't wait to try the new dinner menu soon.

I immediately loved the decor and friendly atmosphere of this place! The menu had a terrific selection and I had difficulty choosing what to order. I decided on the hangover skillet which had 2 eggs (I did poached), chorizo, homefries, avocado, and cheese. I love this type of breakfast and this version was warm and satisfying. All the servers were so welcoming. They asked if it was my first time and said I should come back to try the Cuban sandwich (how did they know I love them!?). I was surprised it wasn't much more crowded. I didn't mind because I had a workshop to attend and was on a schedule. I will be coming back in the area within the next week and plan to have some lunch here.

Went here with some coworkers on a Thursday night, nice atmosphere, attentive service without feeling crowded. Ordered 3 kinds of tacos & a margarita, allll delicious! Will definitely need to make this a regular thing!

Exccccceellllentttttt food and service. Awesome spicy Bloody Mary's and food packed with flavor. Our waitress Nancy was super sweet and on top of everything. Came here to celebrate a job-well-done after a 4 day job from NH to Boston to RI and it was the perfect capper. The ambiance and vibe here is really great.

    Fantastic margaritas

Margaritas were amazing and had muddled fresh fruit options. Excellent chips, guacamole, and house salsa. Had the street corn and steak a la parilla which was very good. Would 100% go back.

Costillitas (Beef Short Rib in Gravy with grilled Summer Squash and Pickled Red Onions)

Visited on a Friday night around 6pm. Was warmly welcomed and immediately seated at a very comfortable table. Inside is nicely decorated with a seating area and separate bar area. The waitress was attentive and very nice. The food was Mexican, but more of an upscale / home cooked type meal. Not what you'd typically think of at a Mexican restaurant. It was all very good and the drink my wife had was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Huevos Rancheros with homemade tortillas, hot sauce and carnitas

My friend and I have a breakfast date here every week and we love it! The coffee is great, an oddly rare thing in breakfast joints in the area, the food is very fresh with lots of homemade components, from sauces to the carnitas and tortillas that make all the difference. This is a rare gem that should really undersells itself by listing itself as a breakfast place. The menu may focus on breakfast and lunch foods but the kind of fresh good foods they serve could be enjoyed any time of day. We have tried and loved many dishes from Bistro Locale but in the pictures here I have featured a recent favorite, the Huevos Rancheros. Give this place a try if you are in the Smithfield/Lincoln area!

My best friend has been here before so I was happy to know that it was going to be good. They have a variety of drinks and cocktails. We both ordered Margaritas which were delicious. They give you chips and salsa at no charge to start. The salsa was probably the best I've had. Plus the bartenders were so friendly and talented. I ordered chicken quesadillas and my friend had tacos. Everything was so good and filling I brought home leftovers which my hubby was very excited. I know I will be back for sure! I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

The staff were attentive and more than happy to bring out more when we finished the first plate. They were very nice folks. I would say their menu is pretty vast, but you really cant go wrong with the basics. I ended up getting their Arrera de Campo, and wow. I wasn't expecting the portions to be so generous. One entree can easily feed two people. Overall, it was a 4/5. The steak and side cheese quesadillas were very filling & delicious! It really didn't need the additional oiliness from the refried beans. But overall, a solid dish. Would definitely recommend checking out Mezquite if you're in the area.

That's the kind of score that immediately gets my attention, so I was excited to give it a try. Wanting the full experience, I asked my server to take the decision out of my hands and recommend what they thought was the most delicious dish on the menu. They suggested the Mole Coloradito, and I happily went along with it. Unfortunately, it just never landed for me. The dish was perfectly edible and certainly filling, but it wasn't memorable. The mole lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for, and by the end of the meal I realized it was the kind of entrée I'll probably forget in a few weeks. It satisfied my appetite, but it didn't leave me wanting to come back. Service at the bar was also slower than expected, both for drinks and food. Nothing was unfriendly--it just lacked the energy and attentiveness that can elevate a meal. To be fair, restaurants don't earn a 4.9 rating by accident, so it's entirely possible I simply ordered the wrong dish, even with the recommendation. I'll chalk this one up to a mismatch between my expectations and my experience. If I find myself back in Cumberland, I'll probably explore another restaurant before returning here. I genuinely hope others have the experience reflected in the reviews, but this visit just didn't quite live up to the hype for me.

Love the communication for customers... showing the wait time and which spot in line you have. Chips and water came out quick even with the packed restaurant. At the end, I believe a manager, came by to ask how our dining experience was and to clear the table. Love that ! Nice that the manager jumps in to help and takes time to check in with customers. I was very impressed by their operations. I had el pastor tacos which the cinnamon-ish flavor profile wasn't my taste but the tacos were good if you enjoy that, came with black refried beans and rice. Rice was really good! I had the spicy Diablo margaritas with tajin rim and really enjoyed that as well. My bf had the birria tacos which came with the dip and he said it was mid, could've been better as wasn't much flavor. I also had shrimp ceviche which was ok too. Was hoping for more flavor. Really loved the warm tortilla chips and salsa was nice. We also ordered the cheese queso blanco dip which was really good.

When trying out a new restaurant, we have little to no expectations but we go with an empty stomach & open mind. I had to look up Manville in Google maps - it's half way between Cumberland & Woonsocket. The restaurant is an unassuming storefront on a mostly residential street. We walked in & were greeted warmly. The restaurant was hopping on a late Saturday morning, so we took the two open seats at the counter. Your Mother's Favorite is truly a family affair. Dad is in the kitchen with an uncle & a son, mom is running the front of house with another son & some other relatives. We learned that this restaurant is an offshoot of their Sunnyside on the Street food truck. They offered any 1/2 lb brisket/chuck blend burger on a brioche bun for the RI Food Fights coupons. Upon recommendation of the son who was serving us at the counter, I went with their best seller: The Mother In Law - caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, house made sauce. It was SOOOO good! The burger was perfectly cooked with a ton of delicious caramelized onions & ooey gooey melted cheese holding it all together. Hubby opted for The Hot Mom - pepper jack cheese, red onion & house-made mango habanero sauce. He will order anything that will give his taste buds a kick... & this definitely kicked! For me, the sauce was too hot. For hubby, it was definitely HOT but he couldn't get enough! I've never seen a man eat a burger that fast! LOL Hubby was so excited about the mango habanero sauce that the dad/owner came out of the kitchen to discuss creating it. He also provided us with a small container to bring home to enjoy & shared the recipe. I was in the mood for something a little sweet & ordered one slice of the French toast. It was delicious. They also do a deep fried French toast which is something I will order the next time. We got into a nice conversation with the table next to the counter. The couple were fans of the family's original food truck & are repeat customers of Your Mother's Favorite. They were also fans of RI Food Fights - especially the January #LordOfTheWings. We concur! We ogled the other delicious breakfast dishes being delivered to customers. Hubby wants to try both the Huevos Rancheros & the Biscuits with Gravy. Their pancakes are supposed to be out of this world but I will be hard pressed not to order The Mother In Law again! Even though it was very busy, the family made time to chat with us & answer questions about the restaurant & menu. We loved everything about Your Mother's Favorite & can't wait for a return visit!
