My wife and I tried this place for the first time. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks and a couple of appetizers. We hadn't even opened our menus yet and they had brought over some complementary tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was very good, with a nice spice kick. I've become a bit of a Mexican food snob over the past 20 years or so, living 20 minutes away from Central Falls makes it pretty easy to do that. Noting that, we didn't have the high expectations for this place; I've tried so many places that look similar to this that were very disappointing. Well, that's why you don't judge before trying a place. Everything we got was incredible. We started with two Palomas, a grapefruit and tequila cocktail, so tasty. Then we ordered the Mini Chimis, four mini chimichangas, two chicken, two beef, served with a tasty cheese sauce on the side. They come cut in half, so it's eight decent sized pieces. Then we ordered our second cocktail, the Oaxaca martini. Delicious! This is probably a good time to say that the bartender who took care of us did a really great job. He was very personable and efficient, and the drinks were excellent. The other appetizer we got was the octopus ceviche. This was the star of the show. I've had many ceviches, and have made it many times, but this was by far the best I've ever had. The seasoning was ridiculously spot on. I think it was around $25, but I was really taken aback by the size of the serving. It was huge. We brought some home. The food all came quickly, and there was a mariachi band! There were quite a few cars in the parking lot, so we expected it to be packed, but it's such a large space with different rooms that it didn't look full at all inside. I do feel like the drinks are definitely worth it because they are strong, and they have a lot of options for larger drinks and flights, which makes the price worth it. The food is good. I really enjoy their elote, and the chips and dips are pretty good as well. I did not take a picture, but I did order a pineapple plate that came with chicken and rice served in half of a pineapple. Honestly, it was not worth the money at all. There was barely any food, just half a pineapple I did leave that day with a bit disappointed. The food is good overall, but I have not tried anything that really stood out. I would mainly go for the drinks, guacamole, and chips. Location: This location is in Seekonk and is in a pretty secluded area with free parking. It is definitely a casual place to go with friends and family, and it also works well for a casual day out. Wow! How have I slept on this place? This place is really easy to get to. Right off of 95 and super close to Rt 6. Place is so clean and visually pleasing. Good sized bar. I ordered from the menu at the front as I wanted takeout. The woman there was super nice and friendly. Didn't take long before my Birria tacos came out. Absolutely delicious! Came with some very tasty rice too. And that dip? Omg! Magnificent! Had chips and salsa too. So delicious! I will 100% be back and would love to sit at the bar too. My husband and I decided to try Plaza Mexico on a whim. We were immediately greeted with chips and salsa. (Yum! ) We added a queso dip as well, and we didn't regret it. How have I not stopped by here before? It is fun and festive inside. The staff is absolutely amazing! The food is as well. We just landed from a long vacation, with stops in Mexico (which did not have as delicious food as Plaza Mexico) and a long drawn out flight and was completely exhausted, so I completely forgot to take pictures. I had some coffee to start, which was actually very good. Better than most places! Chips and salsa/queso were delicious. I went with the Enchiladas Mexicano, which had an amazing sauce, delicious rice and beans as well. We took home some tres leches cake, which is a very good idea, because theirs is absolutely delicious! I think we may have found a new go to Mexican restaurant! read more

I visited this restaurant twice during my trip, and both experiences genuinely surprised me in the best way. On my first visit, I came in late after doing some work. The place was about to close in 30 minutes, and we were the only customers there. When the food arrived, I was a bit skeptical at first--the presentation looked simple, nothing that stood out. That opinion changed fast. I ordered the Burritos Jalisco as a quick option, and they brought out complimentary chips and salsa. I was planning to order chips anyway, so that was a great start. The salsa was incredibly fresh and flavorful. As for the burrito, the moment I cut into it and took that first bite, it completely blew me away. It was packed with rice, beans, chicken, vegetables, and chorizo--super flavorful, perfectly balanced, and much better than I expected based on looks alone. I was so impressed (and still a little curious if the first experience was just good because we were the only ones there) that I returned three days later. This time, I ordered a quesadilla with the same meats as before. The rice and veggies came on the side, and the quesadilla itself was crispy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The only small downside was that it was a bit greasy, but not enough to take away from how good it tasted. The only other minor issue was the wait time, but honestly, I didn't mind it at all once the food arrived--everything was extremely fresh and piping hot. The customer service on both visits was immaculate. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy too, with holiday decorations adding a nice touch. If I ever return to this city, I'll definitely come back here, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting. They have a full menu with seafood, nachos, and plenty of other options I want to try next time. In a smaller town full of fast food, this place stands out as one of the few true sit-down restaurants--and now I understand why it's still thriving. A solid 5 out of 5. A must-try. read more

Big restaurant with a large menu of Mexican and Americanized Mexican choices. Taco Tuesday specials much appreciated! The wait staff is kind and the food comes out fast and hot. I also love that they are community oriented, for example, what got us to come in was we saw they donated meals to Seekonks first responders after the big blizzard. As for the food, it was just ok. It wasn't amazing, but it was fine. I probably would not go back based on just the food. There's a lot of Mexican choices in the area that I do think have outstanding dishes and seasonings, I would come back here simply for their specials and community involvement. Additionally I did find them to be a bit expensive, plain queso dip was $10 and I also got a side of guac so right there I spent $20 just on dips for the chip basket. read more

We were immediately greeted and sat when we entered the restaurant . The waitress was very nice and attentive . She was patient with how indecisive I was . They have a very large menu . The staff informed us that their most popular dishes are the seafood specials . Which I will have to go back for ! I ultimately decided on the steak and cheese quesadillas. The price is well worth the portion sizes . Took home left overs that I am very much looking forward too . Our orders came out fast and HOT ! The quesadilla was gooey with cheese and the steak was soft and tender . The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cantarito speaks for itself ! It was a great balance of sweet and sour from the citrus . The tamarind stick was a treat in itself! I went to a ladies monthly lunch meetup here, I was so happy I made it!! The food was very well seasoned and the portions generous. I didn't have an alcoholic beverage but others did and they looked amazing! The staff were attentive and patient with the lot of us ladies, Now the decor, and paintings, and light fixtures are something to look at and appreciate. A lot of artistic items were dispersed around the restaurant, it was nice to roam and explore! There were quiet nooks and spaces for large parties as well as a large bar. This is for sure a new favorite restaurant of mine!! I decided last minute to have my birthday dinner here and I'm so glad I did. The decor inside is so beautiful and everything is perfectly clean. We sat at the bar and our bartender was awesome. He was super friendly, made a killer margarita and was attentive the entire time. We had table side guacamole that was the best guac I've ever had..I had no idea guacamole could be THAT good. My dinner was fabulous, hot and delicious. To top it off they completely surprised me out of nowhere and with an over the top birthday "show" the loud speakers were playing happy birthday throughout the restaurant, lights went down.. workers came out with big signs, flashing lights and put a sombrero on my head lol!! We discovered this spot while out of the RI Food Fight Taco Mania competition trail. Just off the main drag, in a more quiet corner of busy Seekonk, we'd never noticed it before. We're glad now that we found it! It was that weird, between meals later afternoon time around 3pm, so they we busy preparing for dinner & otherwise the place was quiet. So, sitting at the bar seemed the best option. The bartender was friendly & helpful, though busy. He quickly served us warm chips & salsa & we ordered a large queso as well. While it was delicious, it was a bit thin & messy in a huge bowl. A small probably would have been plenty. Here to try the tacos, we ordered the chicken and Quesabirria. The chicken tacos were a bit "blah" with nothing else on them except plain griddled chicken. A side of salsa verde went a long way to help, while an odd garnish of cucumber slices did little. Some cilantro & onions would have been a very welcome addition. The Quesabirria tacos, however, were FABULOUS! Bursting with flavor, juicy & cheese - a favorite for sure. We also tried their Chile Relleno with cheeese and a Tamale with chicken - two items by which we tend to judge Mexican restaurants. Both were freshly made ( they can often be frozen ), flavorful & delicious. We look forward to retuning to try more here! read more

We visit this restaurant every few weeks but will not be going back. Prices are at the high end of normal but they nickel and dime you. If you want more than a small basket of chips and sapsa they charge $3. There's a charge for using credit. None of these things would bother me but the service last time was horrible. Took 20 minutes to get drinks and put an order in after arriving and another 35 minutes to get food. Had to chase the server for missing tortillas for our meal and drink refills. We will find a restaurant where we get better service. Especially since we were celebrating a birthday! read more

We sat at table 7 near the restrooms (there's a wall in between the table and bathroom doors), I felt a slight breeze upon sitting. Our server Juanes was AMAZING, he was knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions. He was funny and attentive throughout our dinner. We chose the table side guacamole and highly recommended with the chips for an appetizer. Our meals were large portions and we saved room for churros because why not!! We had heard good things about this place so we went last weekend to try it. Menu is huge - lots of options. Service was not great - we waited a long time to have our order taken and after the food arrived, she did not return for awhile. Also waited a long time for the bill after we were done. Margaritas came in a beautiful glass. My husband got fajitas, which only came with 3 tortillas and no side plate (which is why we were hoping the waitress would come back sooner). I got a quesadilla which was tasty. Overall, it was an okay experience minus the service. The cucuarachas were exactly what we need it, not too spicy, but with a kick and the Michelada is a must have! They have loyal customers in us going forward and that coming from a person who refuses to visit Mexican restaurants in LA is a lot!! 3rd time coming here, I had made reservations for a table of 10 for 5:30 (only 8 of my guests showed) The table we were sat at was right up against another huge party which made moving around a little difficult for those who had their backs to the other table, getting up to go to the bathroom was not easy. I still dislike their chairs, they r not comfortable and sit way to straight up that it pushes u into the table and not to mention but they r top heavy and fall over easily. One of my guests went to get up from the table and the whole chair went over and made a super loud bang noise. Talk about all eyes on u! Very much dislike the chairs..... The service was "so so" we had to ask quite a few times for chips and salsa refills and extra napkins or refills on waters. My brother and his friend ordered margaritas that first came in these beautiful goblet cups that had colorful blown glass speckles on them (the waiter said the original cup they come in were not available, but then when they ordered a second one of the exact same drink it came in the bigger original margaritas glasses. That was odd so they paid the same price for the same drink but was given different sizes? Hmmm I wish I had taken a picture of the size comparison. They didn't get anything knocked off their bill for that. My mojito (pineapple) was amazing as always! We didn't bother with the table side guac this time because both other times we did it was very flavorless and had no spice even tho we would ask for it to be spicy. My bf and I ordered the fajita for 2 which honestly could have fed 4 people it was so big! Normally when u order fajitas it comes out sizzling but our did not and the meat was rather dry, I've gotten fajitas many places and it's always usually juicey and sizzling. They only give 3 tortillas per person which I think should be atleast 4 per person because they r so small. We had so much meat leftover for 2 more meals so I asked for tortillas to go and was charged $4 for 6 small tortillas. Had I know it was going to be extra I wouldn't have bothered. Makes me wonder if I would have been charged if I asked for extra while still eating at the table??? Ridiculous in my opinion that's the first time I have ever been charged more for those at any Mexican place. Everyone else's food looked great and no one had anything bad to say, but one of my guests waited 7-8 mins after we all got our food and his was still being cooked.... He ordered the exact same thing as another guest at my table so I found that odd it wasn't anything fancy just a burrito. No one got dessert and when we got our checks (we had different tabs for certain paired guests) everyone's bill but mine and one other guest was inaccurate and had to be fixed. So 3 checks needed to be altered. I went to use the ladies room before leaving and they had no hot water. Sorry but hot water is important to me for washing my hands so that irked me big time. The water was like the Atlantic Ocean the night Titanic sank, freezing cold! Just to give an idea of how long we were there, everyone was seated by 5:45 and we were done and walking out by 7:15. I think this is def a good place to come when you have a smaller party because when I went months ago with just 5 people we had no issues at all. I will of course try again in the future because the food is good and so are the drinks. I do think service and quality control need to be checked a little better. Hopefully they get hot water! Warm chips and fresh delicious salsa upon being seated, server recommended chicken, steak and chorizo tacos (plus all the others!) Getting my Two + 1 and a chile relleno in addition...not the one I was familiar with (when I interned at a Mexican Restaurant in CA) but this one was delicious! Got takeout from here recently. Got the three amigos, carnitas, chicken fajitas and the chicken tortilla soup. The three amigos dish was excellent; loved the flavors and everything tasted delicious. My family and I have been to this restaurant numerous times. We gave it so many chances, but we have received bad service every single time. Orders have been wrong every time. Someone's meal is forgotten nearly every time, and we don't receive it till after everyone else has finished. We NEVER get apologies for these issues. The waiters have been pretty rude. We've tried going back because the quality of food is quite good, but the service and speed truly is terrible.
