Put Brewology in Smithfield on the top of your list. When I lived in northern RI, this was one of my favorite spots for a coffee on the go, or an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. They also have two other locations in Harrisville (I was just there for food fights and it has the same quality coffee as the OG shop) and a drive through in Smithfield. Aria, the amazing owner, let me in on a secret though, she's opening another cozy shop and bar in Cranston. I'm so exciting that Brewology is popping up all over the state. Now I just need to convince her to open one in MA! On this visit, I stopped in for lunch. I had the burrata avocado toast (on sourdough of obvi) and a lavender lemonade. This was the perfect combo of savory and sweet. I haven't stopped thinking about how good this lunch was all day long. It was delicious. I venture into Brewology at least once a week to grab a pick me up latte after work. The baristas are always super friendly and they get the orders out quickly. They have seasonal flavors and a nice selection of breakfast foods. The Oreo peanut butter latte is excellent and the white chocolate raspberry scone is a nice treat in the morning. Came in the afternoon for coffee and lunch. It was packed with school kids and adults, which was pretty encouraging to see. The service was very prompt and very helpful; I was debating between a few items and the girl at the counter was super informative about everything. I love visiting Brewology for my weekend coffee shop fix. My go to coffee order is an iced banana hazelnut coffee with a caramel swirl. For food, I have tried their breakfast sandwich on a croissant and I also ordered a chicken salad sandwich on multigrain toasts once for lunch. The food was delicious! I remember when they first opened and I thought the coffee prices there were way off from other small coffee shops. I'm not sure if they fixed this or if I'm just used to it now that everything has gone up in price so much in the past couple years. The food prices are reasonable though! The interior has a bar area, tables, and couches. It has a cozy vibe to it and I find a lot of people go there to study or meet up with friends. My only negative is that I don't like where the line for the register starts because it blocks part of the bar and you feel in the way if you're ordering something to go. There just isn't a good space for waiting for your order unless you plan to grab a table and stay. read more

With half a dozen chain coffee shops within a mile of this location, this is worth a visit. Great coffee, sandwich, and dessert choices by day and drink selection by night. Just LOOK at their website and you'll be scrolling and scrolling looking at their menu. And how many coffee shops can you visit in the morning and return at night for a good party vibe. (Who knew there was such a thing as a dance license, but they've got one!) And the interior is impressive - a cozy lounge vibe and I'm here for it. But why do I REALLY love this place??? The customer service. Not only do you get that local vibe, but the people running this place absolutely care. I love trying new coffee places and I REALLY wanted to love this place but unfortunately it's a no for me. I had never been there before so I had no idea what to order, the menu was kinda far to read and I felt rushed by the people behind me. I ended up ordering a small "banana hazelnut" iced coffee and it tasted like neither one of those things . It tasted weird and like celery actually. I asked for whipped cream and she said they had cold foam which to me just aren't the same. The interior was clean and designed nicely but the coffee was pretty bad. I'm not sure how long Brewology has been open, but my son loves the Brick Exchange next door, so when we noticed the new café, we decided to stop. Apparently, it is a coffee shop during the day and then turns into a bar at night. I haven't had a chance to experience the bar piece of it yet, but the daytime café was a nice, cozy spot to meet with friends or get a latte to go. They offer smoothies, coffee, and some sandwiches along with an assortment of pastries. As a former barista, I always love to see a new coffee shop that isn't a Starbuck's or Dunkin' Donuts. It was busy when we went, and had more of a hang out vibe. I'll have to be sure to come back ay night, when she changes from day wear into nighttime fun. read more

Stopped by with a friend on a beautiful day just to grab a drink and chat for a few minutes. The decor is nice and it seems clean and organized. Nice seating areas. I agree with others that say the menu is very difficult to read and the additional signs about coffee flavors etc are by the cash register which you can't see because people are standing in front of it ordering. I just wanted something refreshed so I got a medium lavender lemonade. I specified light ice because I know places fill your cup up with ice. Anyway, I still got a lot of ice. I was also disappointed that the lavender lemonade was just a carton of Minute Maid lemonade with some sort of lavender mix squeezed into the bottom. I would have liked fresh squeezed lemonade since it was over $6 for it. So it was extremely sweet. So, I doubt I'll be back ... the prices just seem very high. read more

We went for late breakfast. Very cute place. We went on a Sunday. On Sunday's even though they have a full bar only serve mimosas. They serve alcohol Monday through Saturday. They have a good breakfast menu. They do sandwiches,bagels, muffins. We had a sandwich on a bagel,plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese, and BLT on sourdough bread. For drinks we ordered a cold brew with foam, decaf iced coffee French Vanilla and iced coffee with caramel. Everything that we had was tasty and came out hot. It seemed most people take there food to go. They do have a good amount of seats inside. The only downfall are the hours they are open 7-4 even during the week so unless you drink early you will miss out on the place. Will definitely be back for breakfast. read more

Upon first coming in we were not greeted by anyone in the front, we were just awkwardly stared at by workers and people dining in. First time here, 11 am on Saturday. Great service - friendly, informative. Prices as expected ($9 for a small cafe mocha and a scone). Decent ambiance though too bright for my taste (could pull shades down a bit and something other than the MANY fluorescent lights so it doesn't have cafeteria lighting / feel). Big TV has tropical fish tank playing which I LOVE - if they had TV playing show or news i would not have sat down. Comfy chairs and sofa. Food just OK. Blueberry scone was the kind that's actually a crusty muffin with a cake texture - not at all a scone as a baker makes. They explained that they bake pre-packaged food so cooked "fresh" but not made fresh. My mocha was too sweet- totally subjective but I like sweet things a lot so something too sweet for me is extremely sweet. It was barely lukewarm but they cheerfully heated it up. Chocolate mix wasn't fully dissolved or blended in so I went looking for a spoon but had to ask (age of Covid problem, not their fault). I'll try it again and hope to have an improved experience. Smithfield really needs a place like this. One other note - until I read local story about this place I assumed it was a brew pub. Nothing about signage from street said "coffee" to me. Yes it says cafe/lounge in smaller letters but I thought "brew pub with food." Maybe put a coffee cup on the sign? read more
