This was another great find. Me and my foodie friend, Just happen to be in area. First place that popped up and did we luck out. This place is great a country store selling meat, pies, dumplings and spices to name a few. To many things to list all. Also Cafe with a bar. We had the teas iced and hot so good. We had the beef brisket tacos, meat was tender amazing. The dom bomb so delicious. We never have room for dessert but we couldn't say no they looked so good and tasted even better. The service was great nice and helpful. I will be heading back to that area just to stop in again. See ya soon.

This place is super cute. We were looking for a new cafe and Groundwater didn't disappoint. You come in and it's super cozy. If they added couches, I may never leave. We each ordered a coffee, and some food. I ordered the Brisket Tacos which were really good. They could have used some hot sauce. My wife ordered the Winter sandwich which was Turkey, whole berry cranberry sauce and garlic aoili. I had to get the chocolate frosted cinnamon roll. It was as big as my head! They have a great menu, and I'll be back to try more!!

    Roastbeef.. where's the beef.?.?

Place is cute but the amount of meat on the sandwich is rediculas. I think they gave me one peice of meat on my roast beef. My sone got the Ruben it it was thicker with bread than meats or toppings. Too bad because it's cute but will not return over priced for what is given.

Large, open dining room, bar & shopping area

We've often driven by this interesting cluster of shops, always en route to somewhere else. RI Food Fights Taco Mania finally gave us an excuse to stop & check things out. We were surprised by the large, open, wecoming space. There was a dining area, big patio outside, bar & a shopping area. We perused the shop first & were thrilled to discovered the shelves & refrigeration stocked full of local delicacies! Just about all of the wonderful items being sold here were produced locally. How fabulous! We chose some local beverages frim the coolers & stepped up to the bar to order our tacos. The server was friendly & welcoming. It was a quiet mid-afternoon so we chatted about the restaurant & she shared menues including the super intriquing tapas dinners served on weekends. We certainly have to find our way back to try that! The tacos we non-tradtional to say the least. They were dubbed "Mediterranean Tacos" - naan bread with hummus, and feta & grilled vegetables. While they certainly weren't like any tacos we've ever had before, they were absolutely delicious! We look forward to returning to try those tapas, more of the regular menu & to do some local shopping!

Enjoyed the food and ambiance! Highly recommend the green goddess sandwich - served on locally made challah bread - and the Choppy drink (iced vanilla and maple latte).

Warm bread and dipping seasoned oil. Yum

Well. Well. Well. What have we found here? A diamond in the rough, I think! Let's kick it off with my queer o meter. 10!! YAY Groundwater! Staff was friendly and I got to chat with some patrons who were all very sweet! Onward..... to the food! I'm breaking this one down to the great and the dislike and the grand wishes. The great! I already mentioned the staff, who were all super attentive, polite and accommodating. The ambiance I like too - it's rustic and spacious. You're not sitting on top of each other. The chairs don't scream "sit and lounge a long time" but are def super sturdy. We went at dinner time on a Saturday so this review is based off dinner/tapas offerings. The menu has a nice selection of tapas and an extensive beer, wine and hard cider selection. Note ! **They don't serve dinner it's "small plates", so no sides or veggie. We got the caprese stuffed portobellos and the bourbon kabobs. The kabobs were absolutely delightful. 2 skewers of roasted peppers, onions and marinated beef roasted/grilled to perfection. The flavor was divine and they melted in my mouth. The caprese portobello was stuffed and capped with cheese, surrounded by halved blistered grape tomatoes. Also delicious. All presented simple and IMO, classily. The dislikes. There aren't many, really only 2. The glaze on the caprese was sweet. I, personally, thought it took away from the subtlety of the cheese, basil and mushroom. I would've preferred no glaze or a drizzle of simple evoo and plain balsamic on the plate. The second and last thing was the caprese again, the menu had it pluralized and it was only 1 med sized cap. We were sharing, as most tapas peeps do and were a weeeee bit disappointed in the one and not 2. And if I'm being honest for the price, I think 2 would've been nice. But that's all I have for dislikes. Grand wishes! I solidly wish there was a 2 pricing and offerings on the menu. A tapas price and a dinner price. For instance I would've loved the kabobs as a dinner. So I was dreaming of 2 smaller skewers with a lesser price for tapas and a higher price with 2 full skewers on a bed of pilaf with some steamed beans or something. Or salad. So the dream being $10/$17. The prices are high for tapas but are high quality and delicious. Our bill was $38 for the 2 items. The conclusion: We loved it. We will be back to try breakfast and lunch. I would love to see them thrive and do wonderfully. I think if they find the sweet spot, it'll take off. Thank you Groundwater. It was a pleasure! Cheers!!

Inside. Great tomatoes, bacon and lettuce.

Quality ingredients but pricy. I got a BLT (sub bread for bagel +1.50 extra) small ice latte w oat milk (great taste & 2 shots espresso). You order at bar & they bring to the table & bus your own table after. With a 10% tip = $24 (BLT & small latte). Asked for extra sauce, a bit dry (some on sandwich) or chipotle mayo or anything creamy but was told they only have mayo. Very Friendly staff, very clean, cute spot.

Surprisingly good pork sliders, in Scituate of all places! There is not much good food round these parts but Groundwater is one of the hidden gems with some good options and great staff and owners. We chowed down on tapas night- garlic shrimp, bourbon steak kebabs (a favorite), avocado street corn, spicy potatos, figs and prosciutto shortbread, marinated chicken skewers and finally, the show stopper- scallop bacon ravioli. Can't say I've ever had that in a ravioli before and enjoyed every bite.

Everything is portioned more like a cupcake than a full slice, so you can actually try multiple flavors without committing to one. Side note: you can order whole cheesecakes along with custom cakes for those special occasion's as well! I went with the cookie dough, cookies & cream, and birthday cake cheesecakes. Across the board, they were solid. Lighter in texture, not too sweet, not overly dense, and easy to eat. If you're expecting that thick, classic New York style bite, this isn't it. But that's the point. These feel more like a hybrid dessert cheesecake meets whipped, flavored treat. The surprise of the visit wasn't even the cheesecake. It was the chocolate chip cookies. Perfect execution.. thin, soft, chewy center with a crisp edge. They had that exact homemade quality you can't fake, like something straight out of your grandmother's kitchen. Balanced sweetness and proper texture. I could've easily gone through an entire tray without thinking twice. From a menu standpoint, they're clearly built around: - Flavored, individual-sized cheesecakes (cookie dough, cookies & cream, birthday cake, etc.) - Rotating or staple dessert flavors that lean more fun than traditional - Classic baked goods like cookies that honestly compete with (or outperform) the main attraction If I'm being critical--this isn't a destination for purists looking for a traditional cheesecake experience. But if you want variety, lighter texture, and more flavor-driven desserts, it hits. Overall: came for cheesecake, would come back for the cookies.
