Don't let the strip mall location and small space deter you. The food here is outstanding and freshly prepared. Four of us had lunch including Pho, lemongrass chicken with rice, garlic chicken with noodles, and pork plus egg with rice. The flavors were bright and authentic and the presentation beautiful. This is a family operation and it is obvious that they care and want to deliver an authentic meal. Because the food is prepared freshly, wait time can be a bit long but it is definitely worth it. This is a no frills place that offers great food and at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back. read more

Absolutely delicious. We are visiting my in laws from Florida and decided to stop by, I think this will be a staple for every visit here on out. Food is amazing and also the best Thai tea we've ever had. 10/10 recommend. read more

I was hoping for a decent Vietnamese meal with my family visiting in town. Slow service and small spot to dine in. We pushed a second table over ourselves to accommodate a group of three people when the girl offered a third chair for one table. Took over half an hour to get a soda and food took close to 40-45 min. The girl first brought out the wrong order and had to come back with the right appetizer. Spring rolls were ok. As far as the main meal goes, we had better pho elsewhere. The broth lacked authentic flavor and had very little toppings. Sauces didn't make a difference to the soup. RI is a small state and maybe this is an okay spot for someone else who doesn't travel outside RI or is looking for a quick casual meal. Maybe there are other meals worth trying, who knows. With that being said, I do not crave for Viet Crave. read more

We were visiting my husband's family in RI and just noticed this new Vietnamese place opened up in the area so we decided to give it a try. The inside was cute and clean. The grilled lemongrass pork banh mi tasted pretty good and authentic and the Vietnamese ice coffee was strong! Popped in for a to-go order and they were pretty quick with it since they weren't that busy. As a Vietnamese girlie, I approve. Much better than other places around here. But I would only recommend it for takeout or couples (maybe at most a party of 4). The place is tiny. I tried coming back with a larger group hoping we could move some tables together, but they couldn't accommodate us. Didn't get to try anything else on the menu before leaving town so maybe next time. read more

A very chilly spring night calls for an XLarge bowl of Pho. I started off with the Spring roll but this time with the pork. With the thick peanut sauce this was a great choice. The pork was so flavorful. The rice noodles were cooked to a soft texture - not the usual chew and the basil was not I think I found my new favorite starter. Then onto the XL Crave Special- with no tendon or tripe. Absolutely flavor forward and deliciously hot. Warmed the tummy to the core. Then the neo vibes with the music just added to the full ear to ear grin - happiness. If you are a Vietnamese food enthusiast or just want to try- I highly recommend that you make this a stop on your foodie adventure. read more

Vietnamese food in Northern RI?! Yes please! As a Vietnamese American, I'm so happy to see this new restaurant pop up in Smithfield! The chef and owners are Vietnamese and the menu is spot-on authentic. Even my parents love this spot! We've ordered take out a few times now and sat in the restaurant once. The dine-in experience is cozy, with only a few tables., but the employees are kind and efficient. Now the food: legit. The pho has the right fragrance, and the portion is just right to ensure you're full when you're finished. If you're craving a Banh Mi sandwich, you'll be in luck! They are well-balanced, with the right cuts of meat and seasoning, depending on which one you order. I'm a big vietnamese smoothie lover (sinh to), and they make it perfectly. Absolutely thrilled that this restaurant is here and cannot wait to keep ordering from them! read more

I cannot believe I haven't discovered this hidden gem earlier! Viet Crave is a cute little spot for a quick dine in or grab n go. Right off Putnam Pike, I would drive right past it and finally tried it out for the first time and it did not disappoint! They have a variety of drinks: Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Juices, Teas, Bobas. I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it has a burst of flavor and sweetness to it. I got a banh mi and the bread was flaky and soft with a variety of meats. The eggrolls were crispy and delicious. I'll definitely be back to try the pho. Service was quick and friendly. read more

It's the time of day where I got the call "What you doing for dinner.. let's try this new place." So here we are. The place is quaint with 7 tables and you order at the counter. They then bring you your food. We started with Crab Rangoons. They were hot and crispy. They are more cream cheese flavored and savory rather than sweet. Next were the Shrimp Summer Rolls which had a thick dark peanut sauce to dip into; they were a little messy to eat. We both got the XL Viet Crave Pho because why not for the extra $2! It was aronatically flavorful and the meat tender. The basil, jalapeño and bean sprouts were fresh. I would definitely come back to try some more of their authentic dishes rather than judge them on my favorite appetizers. The service was pleasant and attentive. read more

The first time we dined in and the banh mi was delicious. We ordered a combo with bubble tea. The bubble tea was okay. The staff are friendly and the shop inside is quaint. It would have been better if there was some air circulation as it was super warm and you would smell of the food. The second time we ordered takeout and it just wasn't the same. The banh mi didn't have enough pate, butter and ingredients. We hope next time it would be more consistent. read more

I first about this from TikTok..I came across it from someone that had went here. And I was intrigued, because I've been trying to find a place other than going to Boston for Banh Mi sandwich. The place was inviting, cute place where you can go get a bite to eat with friends and family. I've tried their Ube latte, delicious . I also got the original banh mi sandwich and a noodle bowl. The lemongrass flavored pork noodle bowl was refreshing. I just want to try everything!..lol But definitely check it out, they have pho, rice plates and a list of drinks that you must try. read more

It's great to have a Vietnamese restuarant in the northern RI area - but VietCrave's food was just okay. I was super excited to try the pho - but the broth fell flat. I also ordered a large bowl and it seemed like it was overfilled which made it kind of difficult to eat and mix my fix-in's. My friend tried their bahn mi and it was okay as well - nothing to write home about. The location is also small, with a few tables for seating so I would recommend ordering for take out. The staff was really friendly and the food came out quickly during lunch hour. However, the meal wasn't worth for me to drive and visit there. read more

What is not to love about this place? Best pho in Rhode Island. The other Vietnamese dishes we tried were flavorful too - summer rolls, beef noodle, chicken wings. It's also a super clean restaurant! Owners & servers are very kind, helpful & make eating here really pleasant. Thank you Viet Crave for satisfying my viet craving!!!! read more

Very good. We had a Vermicelli bowl, stir fried noodles and lemon pepper wings. Food was excellent! Small local family business, love to support them and so happy to have solid Vietnamese food in northern RI. Can't wait until next time. read more

This is the $10 bahn mi cold cut was the most driest thing ive ever had, came like this with no pickle raddish, couple of shredded carrots, and cilantro....this is my half of the sandwich being split to share along with my son. Beef pho came out with what looks to be chicken broth, bbq pork fresh spring rolls looked like some grade school student made them, broken apart when taking the first bite, had to try and re-wrap it ourselves just to get the perfect bite....not worth the 30 min drive....goto asian bakery or ri yum yum for bahn mi, or goto pho horns for authentic pho. read more

Although the food was good I had a problem with the delivery. Driver canceled delivery and they simply will not refund the delivery fee plus the tip for the driver. I called DoorDash and they mentioned because I placed an order directly on the VietCrave website the restaurant is supposed to refund me. Their answer was have a good day. Will not go back, service is just as important. read more

Not my first choice for Vietnamese food but a solid choice if you can't get up north. Friendly staff. Adorable inside. And overall very good food. Things to improve. I got th vermicelli (bun) but the lettuce made it like I was eating a salad. There was little to no peanut sauce served with the fresh rolls. read more

Great pho and summer rolls! Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere and staff were great! Well definitely be back soon!

Service was not so great. Took 40 mins to come out and was wrong, ordered chicken got pork, I don't eat pork. The kid that was on the register didn't care that he made the mistake or offer to rectify or give money back. Apparently the Pho was good but I don't care for Pho so I can't speak honestly. Not going back. read more

Best pho in Rhode Island for sure! The broth has the strong flavor I was looking for while still tasting fresh and clean. The meat literally melted in my mouth. The service was quick and the people were kind. The restaurant was clean and had great parking. I'm very picky with my Asian food. After living in California, my standards got set pretty high. I will be back without a doubt! read more

I don't know why I believe these tik tok foodies with no palates but this has got to be one the worst banh mis I have ever had. Very thin layer of pate and mayo which made the sandwich very dry and bland which didn't help the stale bread. Very slow service even when I ordered 15 minutes ahead and had to wait another 15 minutes. Not worth $10 a sandwich when I could get a better one for $6. It should be called viet brave because they are brave enough to sell a dry a** sandwich. read more

Our first taste treat with viet Crave was today and we ordered out. The delightful aroma was noticeable as soon as we opened the door, the place was clean and organized, very welcoming. There are several tables to sit and enjoy a meal. The fresh spring roll were delicious, we had a banh mi toasted baguette with veggies and pork, the dressing was awesome. The pho was super fresh and tasty, loved the rare steak. We plan to make this a regular place to eat, we love it. read more
