Food here is always great BUT only giving 4 stars because the SERVICE IS ALWAYS TERRIBLE. We usually wait 10 minutes before we get water and then another 15-20 minutes to get asked what we want. We wait about 30 minutes to get our food (which is fine). Then they don't ever come back to check on you. If you want a refill, you have to wave them down. If you ask for anything additional (fork, napkins, etc) you have to wait another 15 minutes. This is not a big restaurant and is never full for service to be so bad. We ordered 4 drinks online and waited 45 minutes for them. Luckily it wasn't me inside waiting. read more

Unfortunately I had a pretty negative experience with Pho Saigon and Bar. I ordered vermicelli noodles with beef ribs. The meat was really scary, bright orange, & borderline inedible. I took one or two bites of it & was astonished at how chewy it was. Like, impossible to break down with my teeth chewy. The rest of the dish was fine but very plain. I ate my vermicelli noodles with peanut sauce & called it a day. There was also no shrimp (despite the description clearly stating chicken AND shrimp) in my fresh rolls. I wonder if they ran out. Atmosphere is like a dive bar with table seating. A guy at the bar hacking out his phlegm while patrons at the table and staff doesn't say or do anything about. Perhaps hes a regular but still, it is disgusting. Order a bowl of pho and the broth lack alot of beef bone flavors. It was just plain salty! There were no basil or mint leaves provided. The beansprouts looked very yellow and old. Also ordered a pork chip with the shredded pork and pork patty. It was only one tiny piece of pork chop that was overcooked. It was hard to chew and you can tell these are from the freezer. There was no nuoc nam for the dish, therefore it is so Americanized. The spring roll here is actually a summer roll. Dont be fooled. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my party received during our visit on [09/25]. We were a party of four, and the experience from the moment we arrived was unacceptable. Upon arrival, two members of our group were seated, and the remaining two joined within minutes. Shortly after, another table was seated next to us. Despite arriving before them, that table was able to order, receive their food, and nearly finish their meal before anyone took our order. Approximately 25 minutes after being seated, a waitress approached us and stated she would be with us soon. However, no one returned for an additional 20 minutes. When an older woman with brown and grey hair and glasses finally came to take our order, she acknowledged that we had been waiting for a long time and claimed she believed someone else had already taken it. This was concerning, as she was the same person who had previously told us she would be with us shortly. Once our food was prepared, a male staff member brought out the meals along with three drinks. We informed him that we were missing a fourth drink--a coconut juice. Over the next 40 minutes, no one checked in on us, no refills were offered, and the missing drink never arrived. One member of our party finished their drink entirely, and the rest of us were halfway through ours and nearly done eating before I had to get up and approach the counter myself. Only then did the staff scramble to hand me the drink, which had clearly been sitting there untouched for quite some time. Throughout the entire visit, not a single staff member checked on our table. We were in the restaurant from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and roughly an hour and a half of that time was spent waiting--either to place our order or to receive basic service. At the end of our visit, when we chose not to leave a tip due to the lack of service provided, the waitress made a rude remark: "Really, no tip on almost a $100 bill?" Considering the extensive delays, lack of attention, and overall dismissive treatment, this comment was highly inappropriate. We turned to her and told her why the bill was left with no tip was because of the horrible service she then proceeds to say "I don't care". This experience was far below reasonable service standards, and I felt it necessary to bring it to your attention. This is hands down the best pho I've ever had!! The broth is so rich, flavorful, and comforting--you can tell so much care goes into it. I got the steak, brisket, and meatball pho, and I absolutely fell in love!! Every bite was incredible. Very authentic and delicious. And the vegan spring rolls are out of this world! The peanut sauce that comes with them is SO good--it has the perfect mix of creamy peanut sauce with crunchy peanuts. This is officially my new favorite pho place on the East Coast! I came here to try pho for the first time, a friend of mine highly recommended it. The pho was really good! I dressed it up with chile paste, lime, and jalapeños. We actually ordered a ton of food, but I wasn't able to get pictures of everything. The crab Rangoon's there are honestly the best crab Rangoon I have ever eaten in my 33 years of life, they even have lobster Rangoon, which I did not get to try yet, but I will definitely be trying it in the future. They have a huge menu of all sorts of different Vietnamese in Chinese food. They also sell Boba and have a full bar. They have a parking lot and inside dining. You can also do takeout here. Giving 4 stars because the prices are a little high, the bathroom could be a little cleaner and because they forgot to put in one of the people in my parties orders. We love pho but we love banh mi bbq sandwiches even more so these two items often bring us here. Food would get 4 stars, the environment knocks a star off. While the food has always been delicious, the environment often leaves much to be desired. It's not super clean and many times, it is very loud there. Music is often pumping and it's just too loud. But the last couple of visits seem to have been better with respect to that! But if you're looking for good pho and moreso the banh mi sandwiches, don't pass it up. The first impression - understaffed! 2nd impression - staff there is not efficient. Tables were left dirty - everyone was waiting for service. The crab Rangoons were more cheesy than crabby. The nime chow was tight and tasty with the thick peanut sauce. The house chicken wings were lightly sauced with a hint of sweetness. And the Beef Pho had an incredible taste. However it was served like warm at best. It definitely needed to be hot. Overall - I think this place could be a go to place but it definitely needs a clean up and a more trained front of the house staff. Second time coming to this restaurant food was delicious. I ordered a bowl of Pho Do Bien. It was a huge portion of soup and very delicious. The Crab Rangoons are delicious and have the perfect crunch to them. It very causal in this establishment and have a DJ booth set up. The waiter was nice but wish he was more attentive. Happy to have Vietnamese food in this area at all. We got the Bo luc lac (shaken beef) and it came out less like the original dish and more like a sweet asian stir fry. (It's not meant to be sweet or doused in thick sauce.) Bo kho with pho noodles was tasty, albeit maybe not the authentic flavor either (more liquidy than usual). You did have the option to get it with bread if you wanted. Bun thit nuong (vermicelli) was very good. Egg roll in it was super good and fresh. The noodles were cold which my cousin loved but I prefer warm noodles (that's just preference). Meat was sliced thinly but good grill flavor and lots of veggies in the bowl. They give you fish sauce so you can portion how much of it you want for your noodles, and I pour bit by bit as I eat. The only thing I would have liked was for the red meat to be cut into strips. The only place I go for pho! The best pho place in the Rhode Island. They got a pretty big menu and I have had tried many different meal. All the food was so good I was pleasantly surprised! And the viet coffee is just so freaking good I wish they make bigger size . The staff are also very nice and the food always comes out quick. I loveeeee the fresh roll as well and my boyfriend is OBSESSED with the fried chicken wings. The restaurant is also very spacious and we never have to wait. 5/5! Lunch staff is always on point, menus and waters in an instant. We came here for lunch and it was easy to find parking in the lot. Was looking for a good soupy lunch. It was a super sunny day so when we entered, it felt extremely dim.
