Dined in at Baylee after getting takeout up until now. The food was so freshly prepared, and everything tasted amazing! Service was prompt and efficient and friendly. The restaurant inside is very cozy and small with maybe 10 or 12 tables total. The restaurant was fairly full for a weeknight and they had a steady stream of takeout orders. The quality of the food stacks up as far as value for price. Will continue to go here as long as the food is so delicious!

Everything was great and the prices were fantastic! The noodle and fried rice dishes we got were $15 each. Portion sizes were decent, but the taste was so good. I got the Pad Mee with chicken. It had a nice little kick, the chicken pieces weren't rubbery, and the noodles were juicy. I tried the chicken pad Thai and loved the distinct-peanut sauce. The chicken fried rice was on point as well. It's a little place with not too many tables. Our waiter was very friendly and funny.

Small restaurant, ambiance is a 2 out of 5, service 3, food 2. Pay cash if you can, there's 3% added fee for cards. Will be less hassle if they just added that in food price. If you want anything resembles Thai, might want to bypass this place. Chuchee curry was thin. Beef salad and pad Thai was sad. Please don't put celery in Thai food. It's not your traditional Thai place. You will find some non Thai stuff there...scallion pancakes and udon soup (not recommended). Their "home made" Udon lack bite and broth was weak. Kitchen was slow to get food out.

WOW, so good! I came here not really knowing what I wanted but this satisfied all my cravings I did not know I had. It did not seem like much when I first got here since it was us and one other table but the food is delicious, the service is good, and the place looks clean. The menu does have a bit of everything so I was a bit overwhelmed. I  ultimately stuck to something I knew--vegetable drunken noodles--and two new items--yellow curry (without pineapples) with crispy chicken and tom yum soup.  The drunken noodles were incredible. They noodles were perfectly coated with the sauce and the vegetables were fresh, perfectly cooked, and plenty. I usually get a protein in my drunken noodles but I typically don't pay too much mind to it. This was my first time getting just vegetables and I think it was a great choice. I was a bit skeptical of the curry at first since it contained pineapples but it ended up being super delicious, enough to make me want to come back to try their other options. The curry was sweet and creamy and packed with vegetables such as carrots, onions, and red peppers. I was afraid the crispiness of the chicken would be gone since it was placed over the curry but it was not soggy. I would still ask for it on the side next time though. The tom yum soup wasn't as impressive to me. I ordered the seafood one and it had one mussel, one scallop, one shrimp, and maybe 1-2 other pieces of seafood. I was not a fan of the large chunks of onion or slightly cooked tomatoes. It tasted to me like soup broth with lots of lime so I was not really tasting the sweet and sour juxtaposition. All our plates came out hot and ready to eat. Their parking lot has plenty of spots, and they do have those green little candies as treats on your way out. Their staff is also very attentive and got us everything we needed.

We got take out from here tonight. I enjoyed the soup and pad Thai. My husband got the crispy chicken pad Thai and liked it. The fried rice was bland.

I was in the mood for some really good Green Curry in Cranston and found Baylee Thai Cuisine. We ordered coconut soup, Crispy Shrimp Pad Thai, Crispy Spring Rolls and Crispy Chicken Green Curry. The curry was good, but not spectacular. Full disclosure that my future mother in law is Laos and makes the best Green Curry you can ask for. Back to the review...the curry is flavor, spicy (you can modify level), and great assortment of veggies. I personally like my green curry to be a little thicker, and this was too watery for my liking, but it's good nonetheless. My fiancée ordered the Crispy Shrimp Pad Thai, and this was BOMB!! Her favorite Pad Thai is at Soi 38 in DC, but she said this is a close second. It's really good, noodles cooked perfectly, nice bold flavor and great contrast in texture with peanuts and veggies. The ambiance is quiet, beautiful South East Asian decoration and the staff are so nice!! We will definitely be coming back, and you should absolutely give this a try if you love Thai/SE Asian food!! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Food order: 1) the veggie spring rolls were delicious. Nice and crispy 2) coconut soup- this was so flavorful and the veggies tasted so fresh. The broth was seasoned just right. 3) crispy shrimp pad Thai- OMG! That was my reaction to the first bite. I think I found the best spot for authentic pad Thai in Rhode Island. I ordered it at a level 4 spicy (5 being the spiciest). The way they fried their shrimp and the presentation was just great! This was so crave-able and delicious. I'm going back for more soon! 4) crispy chicken green curry- this also really good and flavorful. The crispy chicken on top was so tender and yummy! Super filling and it smelled so good. Service: Their staff was literally so nice! They were attentive, super helpful and so kind. You just feel warm there. Ambiance: There were like over 8 tables in there so a good amount of space to sit. It's nicely decorated. There's also a big tv for spots and such. And parking space in the lot outside was a plus. This place overall was great!

Small but the restaurant that sneaks up on you with flavor! Their portions are generous and tasteful, one of the best plate of Pad Thai that I have had within miles, with plenty of peanuts sprinkled on top! Definitely a hidden Rhode Island gem that needs to get more exposure and visitors!

On the menu, they call it udon noodle.

Delicious kowpiak and crispy shrimp appetizers on skewers. I ordered my kowpiak without ginger. First time we ate here, I didn't know it comes with fresh pieces of ginger in it...kinda threw me off lol. But good to know I can order it without and it's tasty especially with the crispy pork belly. This just might be our go to for kowpiak now. It's a cute little place with lots of traditional decor that reminds me of growing up in my parents home - Buddha shrines and all. It's byob as well so go prepared .

I had to stop mid-bite to do this review because the food is that good! We ordered take out and everything held up well after a 30+ minute drive. Thai Wings: 6 pieces in an order. Appreciated that the sauce was kept separate without us asking. The wings are "normal" sized (not giant monstrosities) and very crispy. The inside was not dry but not too juicy either. Pad Thai with Tofu: Stunning! Noodles are chewy. The dish was not overly saucy or oily yet still flavorful. Generous amounts of tofu and so nice to see scrambled egg. Drunken Noodle with Chicken: Good proportion of chicken and veggies along with the noodles. Also very bouncy and not overly saucy. Panang Curry with Squid: A whole quart of curry!! Going to happily have this for leftovers. Like the other dishes, there were generous amounts vegetables and squid. We rarely see squid on the menu; goes really well with the curry. Spice levels I should have heeded the other reviewer's warning that the spice levels here are not Americanized! Sadly, we don't handle spice as well and typically eat it on the mild side. For the pad thai and curry, we ordered "0" level and are happy with this choice. For the drunken noodles, we tried "1" level and felt the heat within the first bite. Definitely can't down the dish in one sitting. I had to get a glass of milk even to finish 5 bites. My spice loving friends, you have found a new haven. Will definitely come back!!

Ordered Golden Crispy Chicken and Kai Kra Pow. The Kai kra pow is delicious. Golden Crispy chicken was ok. This dish is for people who loves salty crispy oily food for sure.

Clean place and friendly staff! It was an amazing experience! The food was fresh and hot. We got there and to our surprise had the place to ourselves, so the attention was immaculate. The flavors were rich, and authentic. I recommend you give this place a try! Everything we tried was the perfect and hot!

Appetizer Combination - everything was delicious but those curry puffs - they're next level, soooo good!

Nice dining in area... Thai food does tend to more sophisticated palates. Can't see children or picky eaters particularly enjoying this.

I got my 'usual' order from when it was the prior ownership/management and have to say I was less than impressed. I ordered spring rolls which have a large portion size (6 large rolls) which are much larger than the prior owners but the taste is just mainly of cabbage and oil. Not much flavor and they seemed to be a little dense/soggy with oil. The crab rangoons were made with imitation crab meat and had curry, not really any crab flavor. They seemed to use a thin premade wrapper. I also got pad thai which was okay. It was a bit on the mushy side. Flavor was okay but it just didn't seem to have the same fresh, clean quality as prior recipe. Tasted similar to a lot of other thai restaurants, which may not be a bad thing I guess. Finally I ordered drunken noodles for lunch the next day. These did not come spicy at all but instead came with a chili sauce on the side. The noodles themselves were really thick and gummy and bunched up (kind of a squareish size) rather than long ribbons. There was just almost no flavor to this dish and the flavor was just fish sauce or something similar. No complexity or layers of flavor. Very one dimensional. Overall, for the higher price it was relatively disappointing.

For the longest, I thought Apsara on Hope St and this Apsara were the same owners, different locations but I was fooled. They are different, so I came on a Saturday evening with my friend to give this one a try. They have a parking lot but it is small. However, there is lots of street parking around. When we walked in, every table was full and we had to wait about 20-30 minutes to be seated. Since we had time to look at the menu while we waited, we ordered right away: BBQ beef, stir fried thin egg noddle with seafood, and thai garlic chicken wings. While waiting for the food, I had ample time to take in my surroundings, including all the elegant décor around the restaurant including a lot of red and gold colors. Our food came out all together after about 20-30 minutes. The portion sizes were excellent, and all the food was still hot. The beef was cooked perfectly (for me) and cut into manageable strips. It was tender, a hint of sweet, and savory. It came with some sweet pickled shaved radish, cabbage, and carrots with cucumber. This with the meat created a contrast in texture and amplified the sweetness. There was also a clear sauce and that was also really.good. The fried noodles were delicious. They were thin so it seemed like the flavor penetrated inside the noodle. It had a good amount of seafood including big chunks of imitation crab meat, shrimp, and something else I was unfamiliar with. It also had mustard leaves; they weren't bitter, they just had a neutral green leaf flavor (maybe spinach but stronger). The chicken wing order came with about 8 wings, sitting on a bed of cabbage and topped with jalapeno and chili peppers. They were still very hot and crispy, and had a savory and a subtle umelike flavor. I wish the garlic flavor were stronger. I am excited to come back again and try something new on the menu.

Apsara is one of my favorite restaurants in the World. Yes, you read that right--I have been to…read moreevery continent (except for Antarctica) and still write this with great confidence. I have been going to Apsara since the late 1980s, back when it was called "Bayon." It became AMAZING when it was purchased by the Te family, who still own and run Apsara. At its core, Apsara is and always has been loved by the college students in RI, for its kind servers, wonderful and eclectic foods (Cambodian, but also with Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Lao dishes, as well), very affordable prices and BYOB. The family has attempted various new ideas over the years, such as having sushi, and Asian shaved ices, and sticky rice desserts, most of which have come and gone, but the core menu is generally unchanged. One can still also try to order "off menu," although it's not as common practice as it had been. Start with the Nime Chow, which is essentially a fresh spring roll but with their delicious fish sauce, with crushed peanuts for dipping. I highly recommend adding a dribble of Sriracha to the sauce. Addictive! The chefs are known for cooking their stocks everyday, from hours before dawn. I find all of their soups to be delicious, with a suggestion to try their Vietnamese Sweet and Sour soup or their Tom Yum when you're battling a Winter cold. The also make Mekong fish cakes as an appetizer (finally now sometimes found at Thai places), as well as Natang, which is a minced pork with coconut cream and curry, and sometimes dried shrimp. You spoon it onto their homemade rice cakes... trust me, you'll never be tempted by Quaker Oats rice cakes ever again! Crispy wings are also solid, and the beef teriyaki is an essential (think Phnom Penh street food). The restaurant is pretty small and bustling, but very warm and "family-like." People there learn your name, as you learn theirs. Entrees are wonderful. The whole fish fried with fresh pineapple, cucumbers and tomatoes is killer! The stir fried chicken with lemongrass is delicious (try the "dry sauce") although they no longer make it with ground chicken and Thai chilis and basil (a shame as it was REALLY awesome!). The bee bongs are essentially a noodle bowl with vegetables and a protein, with fish sauce, chopped nuts and a taro fried spring roll. Other favorites include beef loclac (tender grilled beef cubes with onions and a yummy lime and black pepper dipping sauce) or the stir fried ginger chicken, with aged ginger and fresh mushrooms and onions. On a hot Summer day, the shrimp nyom (a cold shrimp salad) is tough to beat. Or mix it up, such as with Phnom Penh twilight, with calamari, shrimp, scallops and sometimes green NZ mussels. And if anyone is wondering, their white rice and their house tea are very high quality. If you are concerned about the somewhat dicey neighborhood (South Providence) or the small size of Apsara, take comfort in the fact that famous actors, musicians and celebrities have joined their kids to go there when attending the kids' graduations from Brown or RISD or wherever!
