Yum nuah( beef salad!
Sameth P.

We wanted to give this restaurant a try. After reading the numerous review we finally ordered. We ordered pineapple fried rice, tom yam seafood, yum nuah( beef salad) and pad see-eww. The beef was very tough and the sauce that was on it was strange. I've had this salad at other Thai restaurant and it was so much better. I really tried to finished it but couldn't bring myself to because it was a strange flavor I can't describe. I threw it out. Tom Yum tasted like I was eating dessert, yes it was that sweet. I took one spoonful and threw the rest out. Pad See-eww( fried rice noodles) was also sweet. Tried the pineapple fried rice and would not ever order it again, so much for being adventurous. Overall, we did not like any of the food we order. Majority of the food ended up in the trash. It was not good at all. What a waste of money! Would never order again as I don't want to waste money on food that looks good but does not taste good.

Oh. My. Goodness. Best Pad Thai I've ever had!!!!! (and at a great price, ~$9) The restaurant is cute and cozy- it wasn't too crowded when we went (7pm, Saturday) but I could see how it could quickly get that way. I'd call ahead just in case (they take reservations). Our party of 4 was attended to quickly and the meals took a bit of time- but do remember that all their dishes are made from scratch and as the menu says "time is an ally". They take the time to properly prepare all of their dishes, and let me tell you it is worth the wait!!! It's BYOB which is an added touch :)

Fresh spring rolls and shrimp

What a delight. We stumbled upon this place as a result of getting lost, being very hungry, and wanting to sit outside in the sun on a beautiful May day. My hubby noticed a small sign that said outdoor seating so we hung a left into Rim Nahm. At first sight, it's small and dim. Owner says it gets busy around 7pm for takeout orders. These people have probably never seen the back deck. Nestled past the indoor dining area on an iron deck is a wrap around balcony (as narrow as a firescape). At the far end overlooking the water and boats is one small iron table and two chairs. A perfect, exclusive little spot perfect for our Sunday lunch. We ordered pad see eew, fresh spring rolls, and shrimp rolls. We drank soda water and lemon. Affordable, fresh, and yummy. Happy to return.

It was fine. Nothing fancy. Food was good. It was late & I think they were expecting us to get it to go.

Ok that may sound strange but I also go to mai Thai in Smithfield and it's decent but everything is always coated in a thick sauce and you don't really feel like you're eating individual ingredients. Here you definitely do. Everything looks and tastes like it was made in a home kitchen. Mostly because it is. The owners are husband and wife and absolutely adorable. The food is so fresh and cooked with love. I hate that expression but it's so appropriate for here. I will say there are a couple misses on the menu, particularly the Pad Thai. It's not particular good at all. Most everything else is delicious. My favorites are drunken noodle, mama noodle, coconut shrimp and veggie pineapple fried rice. The rice is a little bland but actually is really nice with the other strong flavors. Their chicken fingers are not at all what you would expect. They are basically chicken tenders you'd get off a kids menu but you know what? They're really good! This is the best home style thai food I've had in Rhode Island and the owners are so appreciative of your business you can't help but come back time and time again. Definitely recommend!

You need to do better. Won't be back.

This dish tasted exactly how I remembered it in some of my favorite Bangkok restaurants that I've been to over the years. I've been to SE Asia many times over the years and will keep going back because of the WOW factor. So, details... the noodles are cooked perfectly. It's soft, but still has a slight crunch to it. The tamarind flavor is bold, but not overpowering. The peanuts, sprouts, chives and all the other ingredients were in the perfect proportion. The shrimp is fresh, crispy externally and tender when you bite down on it. This is by far the best Shrimp Pad Thai that I've had in Rhode Island. If anyone has another suggestion, then please let me hear it! The Thai Iced coffee was also BOMB! A nice caffeine jolt, creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. The ambiance is that of a casual restaurant, the staff are awesome - knowledgeable, quick and kind. I love the spring rolls and for the last few times I've ordered them, they've been small, overcooked until hard, and with minimal veggies in the middle. The prices are higher, the portions are smaller which makes me a little sad. The food has changed quite a bit and not for the better.

Holy moly, how has this place been here for 10 years and I am just finding it now!…read more Hubby and I were really craving Thai food and haven't been able to find a place that hit the spot since our local favorite closed several years ago. This place came up on our search and we decided to give it a go. Now, the place is called Mai Thai Cuisine, so you know we had to get Mai Thais. Super good! And they definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol; they use the appropriate amount IMO. I ended up getting their pad Thai and it was probably the best I've ever had. Hubby got the Bangkok chicken and absolutely loved it. Another thing I loved about this place is you really get to customize how much spice you want. The menu says you can order it on a scale of 1 to 3, but the waiter said that they use a scale of 1 to 10. I really like spice, so for me a 10 is perfect. But be warned, everyone says my spice is broken, so if you don't have a super strong tolerance to spice, 10 might be too much for you. Hubby has a pretty decent tolerance and believed his number to be a 6. Place was clean and atmosphere was pleasant with ornate elephant decorations all around. Staff was super friendly and service was very quick. Prices are reasonable. Hubby and I will 100% be back, no doubt. Can't wait to try more on the menu as everything looks delicious. Ecstatic to find my new Thai place!
