I grew up in WW and then lived in DC for 28 years which has excellent Thai. Since I have been back, I haven't really found anything comparable in quality and taste (not bad but missing the mark). Thai Accent is the best Thai I have had in RI. Do not let the place's appearance from the outside dissuade you. The food is amazing. Have had the hot basil fried rice, basil chicken, drunken noodles and massaman curry - all great. Staff is super nice. Word of warning - be careful if you specifically request 4 or 5 pepper spicy. Ordered from website for pickup at their takeout location while staying at nearby hotel. Thai Empanadas were miniscule, lightly crisped. Its skin had soft rice-flour dough like consistency unlike more robust curry puffs. Fillings (chicken, potato, carrot, onion) were minimal and very ordinary. Khao Soi came in separate containers for noodles (with egg, green mustard pickles, onion, scallion and cilantro) and curry. This keeps the noodles fresh during transit. Two kinds of noodles (round, flat) were in the container. Both slightly wavy, light yellow, semi-thick, chewy with impeccable al denteness. Coconut curry was thick, well-seasoned and completely fulfilling. For the protein option, we chose Crispy Pork Belly. This sat in its own compartment on top of the noodles that can be lifted up. The belly was beautifully crisped, with well-rendered fat and had almost too much crispiness. The result is slightly tough texture with a could be, but less than satisfying bite. This is small take-out food restaurant ~ no tables and only a small seating section to wait for your order~ very new and renovated~ counter had many larger signs of their specials and dessert options, but I wasn't sure how they'd survive the car ride for us. Ordered some chicken satay and siracha chicken fried rice which states that an egg is added! My partner ordered two dishes including fried noodles with chicken and fried rice with pork. My meal was good. Very elegantly presented with a flower carrot. My partners noodle and rice chicken bowl was way better! I exchanged my meal for it because it was delicious. The carrot flowers are edible but raw~ which I enjoyed~ egg was perfect~ I could hear our meal being prepped in the back~ I would come back but definitely order ahead of time~ very nice to have a good take out place near us~ read more

Rating: 4.3 Came to try this newer thai restaurant after work out. It's a take out only place so recommend ordering a head for pick up. We didn't know so we just ordered at the site. Inside is basically a counter where you place order or pick up and pay, some seats for waiting and kitchen in the back. There are some seats to sit to wait but is under AC so may be cold. Parking is available next to the building. We ordered chicken satay, Fried rice and noodle, fried pork fried rice and sriracha fried rice. They also gave us free egg rolls on the house. Chicken satay was ok. Flavor was good but it was bit dry. Egg rolls were ok as well. Fried well but inside was mostly glass noodle and little meat noted it was free. The fried rices were better. The fried rice noodle was interesting. It's a combination of fried rice and what seems to be instant ramen noodle with some seasoning and egg. Taste was not bad. Sriracha fried rice was pretty good. Good flavor, lots of veggies and some chicken. My favorite was roasted pork fried rice. The roasted pork added great sweet and savory flavor to the dish that made it more delicious. Reminded me of red Chinese bbq meat. Service was good wait was around 20-30. The staff upfront was nice. Seemed to be family owned as we saw older asian lady cooking in the back. Overall it's a solid asian spot around the area. Next time i will certainly order a head of time maybe try some of their other dishes. read more

First taste of the crispy pork belly and I was writing a review. The crunch could have woken the dead. Food was perfect and the iced tea was exactly what I needed. Veggies were crisp and cooked to perfection. Counter service was quick and easy. I took the food to go and ate it back at my hotel room. I eat Thai often on the road and it's not always good, was really happy with this find. Wish I was in town longer to try a couple more items from the menu. read more

The lady at the desk is so kind, food is fresh, fast and not overpriced. I'm a pescatarian so I haven't tried any of the meat dishes as I usually order tofu or shrimp. A healthy starter is the fresh veggie rolls and Tom Kai soup! read more

I just randomly stumbled upon this place and I'm so absolutely happy that I did. No tables in there which hopefully they add a couple which there's room for maybe two or three but I'm OK with takeout for now. The papaya salad has two big shrimp in it, my Tom Yum soup is the perfect amount of spice and flavor and I couldn't be happier. At first walking in, it seemed kinda nice, not overly decorated, but it was hotter then being stir fried my self, even thought there was an AC unit, it wasn't turned on, but since it was take-out only, I would call ahead. The Pad Thai was crazy expensive, over $18, not a deal breaker for one, but forget feeding two, or a family. It was well prepared, but the chicken was tough and sort of dry, well seasoned and great flavor, but it did not fill the container, and the shrimp still had the tails on it, and was difficult to remove. I was really excited to get it home, and try it, but not so excited by it. Everything on the menu seemed to be way over priced. Maybe they would be priced better for a different area, and if they provided more in the portions. It did come with an unexpected order of spring rolls, I've had better, as they were small and a tiny bit over cooked, but again, very tasty. I hope they thrive, as I love Thai food, but only if they rethink their prices and portions. I've paid a lot less, and got an almost as good, it would be a shame if people missed out, simply because they couldn't afford to eat there. read more
