    Egg rolls
    Jamie A.

This place is located on the corner of a busy street. Easy to miss and has some customer parking. Location is small and if the door opens, you'll catch the cold breeze from outside so dress accordingly. Place is small and has take out options. Very clean and the staff are prompt and kind. I ordered egg rolls, bahmin and classic noodles. It was delicious! The noodles were so warm and had egg, chicken and a bunch of noodles! It was such a large bowl! It was great during this cold season. The egg rolls were standard and good. The bahmin sandwich tasted authentic! The beef meat had so much flavor and a slight kick to it! It wasn't spicy, but did tasted like it has a great flavor that punches! We also ordered Thai tea~ it was very different, it was spicy~ it was a very spiced tea with the sweet condensed milk added. It was a taste that tasted good after 3 sips. Everything was good!

Best Cambodian eats in Providence, RI. Friendly staff, great service, fresh food, authentic eats. Would definitely come back!

    Instant coffee I believe...

First time here, so I had to get the noodle soup because that is one of the main reasons I would go back to a Vietnamese or Cambodian restaurant. They have Vietnamese or a Cambodian noodle soup option. I did the Cambodian one since I was in the mood for it when I normally would go to a Vietnamese restaurant for pho. Tbh, it was not satisfying maybe to others it might be okay. Even after hoison, sriracha, sugar, jalapeño, and lime the flavor did not kick for me. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee, which tasted like one of those instant coffee packets from the Asian supermarket. Food and drink did not pass for me. However, service was excellent. It is also nice that there is wide selection of prepared food to purchase if you are on the go. The place itself is small, with probably only 4 or 5 sit-down tables. I would give it another shot with the express food like the caramelized pork and egg dish or the egg rolls.

fried chicken wings with a side of sauce. so good!

This place is a total gem. Our power was knocked out by the big windstorm and decided to eat out while waiting for the blackout to be over. Got the kreung chicken (cambodian style lemongrass chicken), a noodle soup, and fried chicken wings. Everything was fresh and tasty. Huge portions for a good price and the staff/owners are so kind. Loved the food so much we got takeout for the next day. An amazing hole-in-the-wall restaurant that deserves love. Check them out!

The dishes are rich, occasionally greasy, but oh boy--are they packed with flavor! Curry, coconut milk, and spices play starring roles in most of the dishes. The fish soup? Absolutely delicious. It can be a gamble to try fish-based soup, but I trust how most Asians prepare it, so I went for it. No regrets! Here's what we enjoyed: Nanu Pork Dumpling: A sweet, scrumptious twist on a cooked sushi roll Mohinga: Fish-based soup with rice noodles, egg, cilantro, scallions, and fried split chickpeas (so delish!). Some awesome crispy appetizer (see pic) paired with hard-boiled eggs came as a side dish. The couple who own and run this spot are incredibly gracious, patiently walking us through what to expect from each dish. The wife is the head chef, and her passion shows in every bite. I believe they also do food truck events--I noticed their colorful van parked outside. This place is a must-try. Familiar yet different and oh-so-flavorful.

Place just opened when we went so we were quickly sat down as we were the only customer. The seating is limited as there are only 3 tables available. We ordered Burmese Milk tea, Fried chicken (Sweet), Nanu chicken dumplings, stir fried noodles, and Basil Chicken with rice. Fried chicken wings were crispy, sweet and savory. Nanu dumplings were topped with scallions , fried onions and spicy mayo and were delicious. Basil chicken was flavorful with hint of spice from basil. Stir fried was also topped with fried onions and was very flavorful as well. All the food did come with plastic containers so it's easy to take home if you have leftovers. First time trying Burmese milk tea and was good but I think I prefer Thai milk tea better. Overall the place was very good. Food was great, service was good and price was fair. Only downside was that the place is small with limited seating and the place was hot because it's summer and there is no AC. They have fan and we sat in front of it but was not good enough. I would order take out next time. Other than that it's a solid place.

Sally said, "I'll have the kick'n Sammie and fries." "Foo is expert in Korean food, you know," I said to the waiter, "I'll have the Katsu, scallion pancake and crab rangoon, xie xie." "Don't forget the bev!" said the man. Sally then said, "Never, never, never!" and then she started to laugh at her own joke. "The Ocky way!" Me, Foo, said and I was then busy slapping my knees at Sally funny joke. "No, seriously, what to drink?" said the nice waiter man. "Sally and Foo both have Narragansett lager in can!" Foo said. "Okay, coming right up!" When the food arrived it looked so good. Foo was so impressed. "Sally, you say grace to KJ?" Foo, me, said. "Yes, grace to KJ for this amazing food here in this wonderful place." "You know, Sally, I think Ming's is like truck that got stuck in Edgewood traffic and then they just open place and make yummy food. I feel like a festival when here. I love Ming's! What makes me want to say that starts by the welcome from the warmth and kindness from the staff. Tate made me feel at home. He did not make me feel rushed. I work at Amazon and for those of you who have worked for Amazon, rushing is crawling while sprinting is walking. Tate did not rush me at all. So, I felt right at home. I was tired and I was thankful for not being rushed. I ordered my drink and sauted clams. The drink only took less than 4 mins to make. The clams came out quickly. Then my Drunken Noodle dish came out and it was spicy to my liking ... Thai Hot #10. I also asked for additional hot pepper. I recommend Thai Excursion for anyone to try. You will not be disappointed.

Now that says a lot! I was pretty full from all the apps so I ordered two small soups as my entree bc again, wanted to sample everything. I got shrimp tom yum soup (best I've had so far) and clear soup. Very very light and soothing with clear noodz. We'll definitely be back. Our server was very very nice and accommodating.

We were sadly in a rush and had to be out by a certain time to catch a show, and our server understood the assignment and got us out on the tight schedule we needed. I'm just sad I had to slurp down my soup so quickly as it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

Not pictured was the tonkatsu meal and my pork belly buns (appetizer for meal). I drank the beer+soju pairing which was good. I never had soju before today. It tasted like apple liquor. I wish that our server had communicated that food comes out as it is ready. My meal came out 10 minutes before everyone else's which is awkward. Although this isn't fine dining, I find a sporadic placement of food to be strange because I sat with my food in front of me waiting for everyone else's. Service is not necessarily friendly, but they are attentive.

I dined here on Christmas Day at the invitation of a relative who has eaten here a few times and swears by the clay pot dishes. The restaurant was very busy, busier than usual, I was told. We were seated quickly, which felt promising. That momentum did not continue. After we said we weren't quite ready to order since we had just sat down and a couple of us were new to the spot, we asked the server to return. She did, about 10 minutes later. From there, it became a series of waits. The appetizer arrived first, then one main dish was served, leaving the other two diners waiting another 12 minutes. Plenty of time to admire someone else's food. There were a few service hiccups. One water glass had a visible crack and took some persistent hand waving to replace. The soy sauce container was empty, and after more waving, I eventually stood up and borrowed one from a nearby empty table. Light cardio included. The dishes are pricier than average, which I'm generally fine with. The restaurant is clean, newer, and located on the outskirts of East Greenwich, which may explain the pricing. What disappointed me was my $26 eel hot pot (aka Unagi Kobayaki). While it tasted good, it consisted of four slivers of eel, yes, four, which we confirmed, a few avocado slices, and a lot of rice. For that price, it felt ambitious. I could have enjoyed a very nice sushi meal elsewhere for less. Ordering clay hot pots is not new to me. To be fair, one of my companions ordered the Boneless spare ribs hot pot and enjoyed it. That dish had noticeably more protein and felt far more balanced. In short, the food flavors are good, but the service struggled, perhaps due to the holiday rush. I may try this place again on a less busy day, but with several other options nearby, I do not yet see a strong competitive advantage.
