It's been a while since I was here last and it is just so so good! It is a little bit pricey but the serving size is very generous and everything is delicious! I love the cute little photo machine when you walk in! Service was great! Glad we stopped in.
Kow Kow is my neighborhood ice cream spot, and it has a unique concept: bubble waffle meets frozen treats. I got the Milk + Matcha (bubble waffle, matcha ice cream, strawberries, mochi, graham crumble, condensed milk drizzle). It was, ofc, delicious and the portion was huge (definitely enough to share). I really liked all of the different flavors and textures (especially the mochi), but I did feel like the matcha essence could have been stronger. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance is casual: there's mostly outdoor seating. 9/10 would recommend!
If you consider yourself an ice cream connoisseur and haven't yet indulged in the crazy delicious ice cream at Kow Kow, it's time to mosey on over! It's served In a made-before-your-very-own-eyes "bubble" waffle cone that's soft, puffy and oh-so-delightful. My all-time favorite ice cream here is Graham Canyon (full of deep graham cracker flavor and served with strawberries, graham cracker crumble and salted caramel drizzle). But since it was sold out on my most recent visit, I gave the Oreo Cookie ice cream a whirl. It was extra tempting in its chocolate chip "bubble" waffle cone with several Oreo cookies, a dusting of Oreo crumble and chocolate drizzle. Now, I'll be forever torn on which to choose on upcoming visits. Meanwhile my husband was oohing and aahing as he wolfed down his Cherry Chip ice cream. No doubt, we'll be stopping by a few more times before summer is over!
Our go to ice cream shop! Service is speedy, options everything you need! Although they are known for their bubble waffle cones - we often just crave their graham cracker ice cream & don't have enough room for bubble waffles. That said, we've had the waffles, and they're delicious and made fresh to order. Outside seating is a great place to hang with friends & enjoy the bistro lighting. They even have a free photo machine now that prints out a receipt-like picture for you - how cute!
Food/Drinks: This is one of my favorite ice cream spots. It is delicious and absolutely worth the price. The first time we went, we got our own, but we quickly realized it is better to share one because it is more than enough for two people and leaves you fully satisfied. One per person would be way too much. They have a great variety of delicious ice cream flavors and toppings, and I 100 percent recommend it. Location: The location itself is nice, clean, and modern. It is more of a grab and go spot, and while there is a parking section, it tends to be full. You can usually find street parking easily though. It is a nice location that has always looked clean and modern. It is a casual spot. Service: The service has always been great, friendly, fast, and full of personality. I will definitely be coming back.
It had been a year since our last visit and Kow Kow is still amazing! Our group of four all ordered different flavors and they are all delicious and so artfully crafted. Service is excellent - orders are efficiently taken and the employees are all polite and friendly. Prices might look a little high when you walk in, but I think they are actually fair for what you get: a fresh baked bubble waffle, delicious small batch ice cream in interesting flavors, toppings such as fresh fruit, mochi, nuts, etc. Wish there was indoor seating, but the outdoor seating area is nice. Glad that they have water and cups available, as well as cardboard containers to lay down your ice cream and waffle in because they are sooo big! Also, I didn't see it on the menu, but I did see some people purchase ice cream without waffles, so if you want something a little smaller, that is an option too.

Pretty good ice cream! I chose the graham cracker flavor with strawberries on top! It was delicious ice cream with great toppings. The waffle cones looked huge; very glad I got a cup. My biggest complaint is the price; it was pretty pricey for what it was, even the waffle cones. The service was quick and easy once the line got moving! I do wish there were more flavors to choose from too
Absolutely delicious matcha ice cream with really yummy marshmallow like thingies with fresh strawberries! I personally don't like ice cream that is overly sweet (crazy I know) and this actually hit the spot of being just an overall delicious taste and not being TOOOOO much of a sweet treat either!!! Love love The staff was very efficient with their service and you could that everyone was thoroughly enjoying their ice cream at their outdoor seating! I look forward to coming here again!
I would choose other ice cream spots over Kow Kow. The bubble-waffle is what makes their product unique to competitors. I did a split scoop of black raspberry/graham ice cream in a choco chip waffle, and that was $9.95... Not really special. I wish I went to The Inside Scoop instead. Not trying to bash the business btw. Everything was fine. It just wasn't special, and for that, I do not have interest in returning.
I came back to Kow Kow for their Graham Canyon ice cream and original waffle. I got the ice cream and waffle separated this time. The Graham Canyon ice cream consists of graham cracker ice cream with graham cracker swirls and sponge candy pieces. DELICIOUS! My friends and I came here on the Saturday of move in weekend for Fall 2024 Brown University returning students. It was packed with students, but we were able to grab a table and chairs. It was a beautiful breezy night and perfect for ice cream. I really enjoy coming back to Kow Kow!
Graham canyon was fabulous. The graham cracker ice cream is fresh creamy and seems to be homemade. The strawberries were fresh and sweet. The warm waffle is super fluffy on the inside, a crisp on the outer layer with a faint taste of vanilla. $13 There is nothing like this place. It is a must try! read more

Graham Canyon was absolutely delish!! The toppings were so good and ice cream very creamy. Waffle i wasn't a huge fan of. Didn't really have much flavor. The portions were GIANT and definitely can't be split between two. As for ice cream options there's not a whole lot. Like 4 main flavors if i remember correctly. There's no inside seating, only outdoors. If you want traditional ice cream this place is NOT for you. However if you're looking for something fun to try this is definitely your place. read more
let's start with the inside: the inside of the shop is roomy and the menu on the wall is large enough to read for most. if not, they've got smaller handheld printed out menus for you at the beginning of the line to make the menu more accessible. I tried the milk + matcha ($13). which includes, a regular freshly made bubble waffle, a huge scoop of matcha ice cream topped with mochi pieces, fresh cut strawberries, graham cracker crumbs and a condensed milk drizzle on top. be forewarned that those graham cracker crumbs will get on you if you sit down and don't eat over the table. very good, but very messy so definitely grab some extra napkins. it is as put together as it sounds, and very good. the waffle itself is not overly sweet either which is a nice touch so you're able to enjoy more of it. you have the option of sitting inside (I believe they have a little bar inside to the left, but I could be wrong) or they have a small patio outside for their guests. the patio is a nice place to sit and enjoy the ice cream when the weather is nice. i'd give it a non yelp option rating of 4.5 stars. it's a little on the pricier side, but definitely still worth checking out if you're on the east side and looking for something sweet. all the employees were super nice, too. read more

A group of us went to Kow Kow about a year and a half ago on a visit to Providence, RI. I was just thinking about how unique it was. The ice cream cones are huge. The cone is made in house and looks like it has bubbles around it. The mix-ins are delicious. We had one with blackberries, one with Oreo cookies, one with strawberries, and one with chocolate chips. all were extremely fresh and the ice cream is good too. I will certainly visit there again the next time I go to Providence! read more

A great place for unique ice cream flavors in bubble waffle cones. The mochi topping is a MUST. My favorites are the Mango Sticky Rice special or the Strawberry Matcha. It can get very crowded here, with little sitting room inside. read more
Had to come here after seeing this place all over Yelp! The cone was delicious and the strawberry cheesecake with extra graham is where it's at. The cone was gigantic but I nearly finished the entire thing! You gotta have it! But beware of the crazy lines! We came here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the place was completely packed and the line seemed like it would take an hour but it actually went pretty quickly! So don't let the line deter you from trying this- because it's amazing! read more

Delicious ice cream with great seasonal creations! We love going to KowKow for special occasions and celebrating! We always enjoy the location, eating on the patio outside and we started visiting them at their food truck initially. The staff is great with making recommendations! My only wish would be for them to offer more coffee ice cream creations! read more
The ice cream here has a perfectly chosen flavor profile. The ice cream is creamy and delicious. The cones are awesome. Although it was busy, the service was quick and they all were great. The ambience is well a grab and go ice cream shop. They do have outdoor seating but could be limited at times. There are lots of lovely local restaurants to have dinner and stop at Kow Kow for dessert. I enjoyed my experience. It's hard to go wrong with ice cream! read more
Their Spring hours are here so they are opened earlier at 2PM! A cute ice cream shop in Providence where the ice cream is also so aesthetic. There are new flavors for this month in highlight of AAPI month. There is ube and rice flavor ice cream and other flavors as well. There are so many unique flavors here to try! The waffle comes out fresh and warm each time and there are different flavors for the waffles as well! There is multiple toppings to choose from. My favorite ice cream place in Providence! Lot of places to compete with, but I really like the creations that Kow Kow makes. Love the ability to mix and match ice creams, waffles, and toppings. Also really love the Asian-inspired ice cream flavors. Their portion sizes are also huuuge so very easy to share with others!! This was my second time here and Kow Kow doesn't disappoint. While they may not have dozens of flavors, whatever they do have is sure to hit! I typically go for chocolate based ice cream but this time I tried the Graham Canyon. I love how fresh the strawberries were. Bubble waffle cone is top tier! Ice cream is great quality! This was DELICIOUS! The waffles are freshly baked, so nice and hot and it goes so good with the ice cream. I got the Graham station cone with the chocolate chip waffle cone. It came with graham ice cream, caramel drizzle and strawberries. This was sooo yummy. It was about $10 for one cone. One of the best places I've been to for dessert. The hot cone with the cold ice cream in the middle was just perfect. Very filling, and they're open until 10pm. I would definitely come back here more, but due to living in a different state I probably won't be able to. The oreo one was also good, according to my fiancé. Good prices and quality. read more

Consistently so good (and it seems like the scoops have gotten larger since last time! Evidenced by the mochi that kept falling off) The sticky rice ice cream is a must. If they have the Mango special, definitely go for that. Condensed milk drizzle and mochi are, in my opinion, the best toppings. The egg waffles are just as good as the Hong Kong egg waffles I grew up eating from little street carts in New York. They have three types to choose from but I always go for the matcha. read more

Came here twice and both times were amazing. I ordered the milk and matcha both times and both tasted great. The ice cream and waffles are made fresh in house and tastes amazing. The service is also very fast but lines can get long especially on weekend nights. The place is overall one of my favorite dessert places ever. read more

Absolutely delicious and refreshing, especially on a hot summers day. All the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The only criticism I would have is that these ice cream cones are MASSIVE and very filling. I'd come hungry and expect lines in the summer. Great spot to try out, give it a shot! read more
Great flow in this place, I waited in line for a few and they have the menu printed nice and large on the wall. My husband and I shared one, the pro move is they have little cardboard dishes and we laid it down in that to share it. The portion of a single scoop is quite generous so I'm glad we shared We had cookies and cream ice cream in a chocolate chip waffle cone with Kit Kat, Cinnamon Toast Crunch crumble. Delicious! It's nice there is some seating outside we were able to stay out of the rain. read more
