I was totally excited that they finally opened for the season. I ordered a large, soft frozen yogurt swirl with hot fudge. I was shocked as it was handed to me looking like YOGURT SOUP and when I got to my car and started eating it, it was yogurt soup. I don't understand how in LESS than 5 minutes of ordering it, having it handed to me, going to my car, and having to suck this down that it was so soupy. Totally disappointed and it cost $9.45 plus a dollar tip.

We were really excited to try out this place and were so glad we did! It's blowing up on social media and is pretty much always busy right up until closing time, and for good reason too. For the line, it was pretty quick and the prices are pretty reasonable for the portion. They have a broad and delicious assortment of flavors, too. Bing cherry was my favorite of the 6 we tried. I'm definitely heading back for an ice cream taco. FYI, parking can be tricky, especially during peak hours.

Kiddie size ginger ice cream in a sugar cone. - A close-up image shows a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone, held by a person's hand outdoors. The ice cream appears creamy and slightly melting, with a textured waffle cone. The cone is wrapped in a paper holder featuring blue and white stripes and a red logo. The background is blurred, suggesting an outdoor setting with natural light.

The Inside Scoop is a cute shop that, based on the line stretching through the parking lot, does a good business. I appreciate that the ice cream is homemade and the portions are generous, but I was disappointed in my scoop of ginger. The ginger flavor was barely detectable, there was no spiciness to it whatsoever, and I was only able to see a few sprinkle-sized pieces of candied ginger. It tasted more like a very creamy vanilla, which was good but not what I was looking for. Also, the ice cream was not very firm and melted quickly. The young staff were friendly and fast, but I probably wouldn't go back.

This was just your ordinary ice cream shop. They did not have an abundant amount of flavors, but they did have decent prices, which is a plus. No inside dining, only outside, lots of bees too lol. Good spot to go if your in the area and want a regular ice cream.

The location is well maintained. They have picnic tables outside and ample parking. Only con is that it is on the main road, so getting out can sometimes be a pain. Service is always pleasant at the windows! The ice cream is always good. This year we enjoyed their version of the chocolate taco. And mannnnnnn it was delicious. They have different types of sundaes. I have never gone and been disappointed!

The Inside Scoop is an ice cream stand with parking spaces on both sides of it. There are also some picnic tables on both sides for friends and family to enjoy their ice cream. The Inside Scoop was a stop for the 6th Annual Search for the Best Scoop Shop RI with RI Food Fights. There are many flavors to choose from but I chose the bubblegum flavor. I think this may be my first time having bubblegum ice cream. It was ice cream flavored like bubblegum and loaded with colorful gumballs. I was surprised that there was actual gumballs in the ice cream and swallowed them so hopefully I'll be okay. Service was quick and friendly. A lot more people came after we picked up our ice cream and were enjoying it at the picnic tables.

Waffle cone and ice cream - Two ice cream cones are held by different individuals over a weathered wooden table outdoors. The left cone has a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a colorful sprinkle-coated rim, while the right cone contains a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone. The background includes a brick wall, a yellow building, and a blue mailbox, indicating an outdoor setting.

The Inside Scoop is such a delicious shop on Rod Rd in Kingston. Their ice cream was delicious and you can tell that it is homemade. The staff was incredibly friendly and despite a line, they moved quickly to ensure everyone was well cared for. The shop is quaint and well worth the trip!

the outside of a restaurant - Sign for The Inside Scoop, a homemade ice cream shop located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The sign features the shop's name in large, colorful letters, with a graphic of an ice cream cone on top. Additional text indicates the shop offers homemade ice cream. The sign is situated outdoors, with a parking lot, cars, and trees visible in the background.

We pass by this place a lot, so we decided to take "a ride" to try it. It is a cute place, the ice cream is great, the waffle cones were yummy, and they have picnic table seating on the side. It is worth a try.

We decided to try this ice cream on our way home. Cute ambiance and friendly staff. We ordered the small ginger ice cream in waffle cone and orange/pineapple. The ginger didn't have a strong ginger flavor and it was waaaay to creamy. Though the small was a pretty good portion. I wished the waffle cones were a bit darker and crisper. The orange/pineapple tasted like a creamsicle and not much pineapple flavor. Would I go back? Maybe ...

List of flavors - The menu board for The Inside Scoop ice cream shop lists various flavors and options, including homemade ice cream, yogurt, sorbet, and smoothies. It features sections for different types of treats such as ice cream cakes and no-sugar-added options. The board is framed in green and purple, with a small image of an ice cream cone, and is mounted on a yellow wall. An American flag is visible to the left of the board, and a utility meter is mounted below it.

Yum yum oh yum!!! For some odd reason, I have never found really creamy "fresh from the cow" ice cream in Rhode Island. That ended when I went to The Inside Scoop. Their ice cream tastes like utters have touched that stuff the very same day. All of their flavors were SO creamy. I got the Cabinet, which I had to google before trying. Apparently, this isn't referring to a storage device inside your kitchen. It's an ice cream concoction local to Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts that consists of coffee ice cream, coffee syrup and milk. Wow - it was such a wonderful treat. I love milkshakes, I love coffee, and I love Rhode Island, so a drink encapsulating all three of these things deserves all the love. Quick tip: Parking can be a bit difficult on a crowded day. There's usually enough spots, but getting in and out of the parking lot isn't for the faint of heart. Another nice surprise: There are non-dairy flavors for the lactose-free ice cream lover!

two cups of ice cream - Two ice cream cups from The Inside Scoop are positioned on a wooden outdoor table. The left cup is labeled "Oreo" and the right cup is labeled "Classic." Both cups are partially consumed, with visible ice cream remnants and some melting around the edges. The cups have clear plastic lids, and the labels feature the shop's logo and contact information. The background shows a blurred outdoor setting with wooden furniture and greenery.

One of our favorite aces to get ice cream. Very creamy and great flavor. The kids working there are always super friendly.
