I came here on a gloomy Sunday afternoon. They have a very spacious parking lot, which they share with the other businesses in the small plaza. Two things initially caught my attention. First, I like the big tall windows and the patio area outside which I assume is very popular during warmer months. Second, I was captivated by the different cold brew drip towers they have going. They have a lot of unique drink flavors to choose from, of which I picked the honey lavender latte. At first I thought it was a little too sweet, but it grew on me by the second sip. I could actually taste both the lavender and the honey. The size was just right and the prices are also average. I stayed a little reading a book and found that is it a peaceful environment even though some people were studying and others were playing board games. I would come back to try other items. I've been to Fundati Coffee a handful of times. It's always a great choice when in the area. The interior is clean and quaint, workers are very nice and welcoming, and the food and drinks are good. On my most recent visit, I ordered a seasonal latte special - the Salted Vanilla Honey Latte - and the Avocado Toast with an added egg. The latte flavors were enjoyable, but a bit sweet for me. I also thought it was odd that the first sip of the steamed milk was cool in temperature, rather than a nice comforting warmness. The avocado toast was pretty regular. I appreciate that there was plenty of smashed avocado, but I feel as though the other toppings were lacking. It was dressed with everything bagel seasoning and pickled red onion, but it needed much more of both to escape the slightly bland taste. And I would have preferred the egg to be cooked fresh with a runny yolk. This egg was most likely microwaved to over-hard. Nevertheless, it was still a relatively enjoyable meal. Great spot for working away from the office. I came at a time that there wasn't many people and plenty of seats were available~ outside seating was an option but I like the cool ac~ they had WiFi and specials~ I ordered the banana latte since blueberries theme specials were sold out. My drink came out promptly, and I was a belt o get work done and enjoy my seat and views~ such a great day to lounge and enjoy a coffee~ bathroom was clean and available. Haven't been here in a while but they had so many cool drinks on the menu since I was here last. They also had a ton of pastries---many that were gluten and nut free. So wonderful! Service was great. I've been to Fundati a couple of times. Convenient location with ample parking. Decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Crowded both times we went. Food menu is fine-a few sandwiches, avocado toast, etc. but pastry selection was pretty small (or maybe they had just run out.) While the pour over way they make coffee is interesting it does create a situation where you wait close to 5-10 minutes for even a basic coffee. Price point is a bit too high-we paid $32 for a large coffee, latte and 2 small slices of avocado toast. read more

The first place I go to on any visit back to my home state of Rhode Island is Fundati Coffee. I started coming here right after they first opened in late 2020. It was a tough time for new businesses to open, but owner Alicia wouldn't let that stop her. She grew a business that is now Rhode Island's best coffee shop, and has been voted the best in Rhode Island Monthly for several years. Now only is this a great coffee shop, but it's also a place that helps build community. If you've read any of my reviews then you would know that is one of the most important things to me. They have a running club that goes out once a month on a Saturday and invites anyone who wants to join to come along. It looks amazing! I've lived in California for almost 25 years, and am very picky about good coffee. For most of my life, RI didn't have a place where you could get pour over coffee. I find that it makes a superior cup of coffee than any other method. Fundati not only does a great pour over, but they also do excellent specialty coffee and tea drinks. This morning, since it's Christmas Eve, I actually ordered their peppermint mocha. It is the best peppermint mocha I've ever had. I can't say much about the food here as I come mainly for the coffee, but it looks great! They offer breakfast sandwiches and burritos as well as lunch sandwiches. I've had a few of their pastries in the past, and they are very good! I love the seating area at Fundati. It is a nice place to sit and do work or have a conversation. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and they have a great social media presence if you've ever watched their videos on Instagram. If you're ever in RI and you need a wonderful coffee shop then this is the place to go. read more

Quick in and out stop today at Fundati. Looked at their menu- a good selection of breakfast & lunch items and speciality lattes. Today, I opted for a 20 oz iced matcha latte with vanilla ($1 upcharge). The matcha was beautifully made and tasted delicious! I will definitely be back to try their iced coffee and speciality lattes. The shop is cute, has a decent amount of seating and baristas were friendly. Located in a plaza with a good amount of parking. Loved seeing the presentation of different coffee grinds and espresso machines. I can see why this shop is so popular. read more

I moved to RI alone three years ago and stumbled upon this cute coffee shop, just 5-10 minutes away, with my friend who was visiting me at the time. Over these past three years, I have been to this coffee shop (and had friends bring me coffee from this coffee shop) countless number of times. I have very fond memories of this place. The drinks are always so good and I'm always excited to see what they have on their seasonal menu. I will almost always choose from the seasonal menu if I was not getting my cortado! The beans are also great. Everyone that works there is always accommodating and very sweet. I love the sense of community here. I will be moving out of state at the end of this month, so it feels a bit bittersweet to write this review now. I wish I had taken more pictures of my beverages from here over the years. My family frequents this place, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I had one of the worst service experiences I've encountered. I ordered a double dirty chai latte. I was initially told there would be an extra charge for almond milk, so I switched to regular milk--despite that upcharge not being listed on the menu board. Even after switching, I was charged $7.29, which was more than $1 higher than the price listed on the menu board near the register. These prices are comparable to major cities like Boston or New York and felt especially high for Rhode Island. When I calmly pointed out the discrepancy while being rung up, the employee became defensive and snapped at me, saying I was being rude and that the board was simply wrong because people make mistakes. As a former server myself, I found this response unprofessional. The listed price was not honored, and instead of addressing the issue, the interaction was turned around on me as if I was attacking her for pointing out an error. Charging more than what is clearly posted and adding unlisted upcharges, feels like unfair business practice and a bait‑and‑switch, especially when customers are not informed until checkout. I was not rude or confrontational; I was simply trying to understand why I was being charged more than the posted price. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was disappointing. It's frustrating to feel that a customer who remained calm was treated as the problem. Based on this experience, neither my family nor I will be returning. read more

Boy, I wish I had found this place sooner! A great friend of mine recommended it as a spot to grab coffee and catch up. The casual, clean and aesthetic atmosphere at Fundati sets the tone for productive work sessions and good vibes for meet-ups. The location itself is worth noting - far from the hustle and bustle, but in a busy enough plaza that you don't feel stranded (that's a win for me). PLUS, plenty of parking? Yes, please! I've been meaning to return since writing this review. The specialty drinks, especially the London Fog and The Captain, are my absolute favorites! The former is an Earl Grey tea with vanilla and steamed milk, which I appreciate for the subtle and light flavors. Composed of black flower, vanilla, honey and steamed milk, The Captain is another personal choice that really hits the spot. I find it challenging to discover a coffee spot that offers strong tea options, which makes Fundati a strong contender on my favorites list. I love having the option to choose between a variety of coffees and teas - sometimes you need a kick to the face, and other times a small (but flavorful) boost will do. The customer service is great, and I appreciate the friendliness of the baristas. They are very well-informed on the menu, walk me through the options when indecisiveness gets in the way and the service is always speedy. This spot has really great energy - let's start there. It's cozy & welcoming inside & the staff is friendly. They clearly have a loyal following. I've been here twice & had a similar experience both times. Both times, my latte was almost $10 (yeowwwchh) after the suggested 20% tip. They also unfortunately do not carry any gluten-free bread for their sandwiches. That cuts out almost the entire menu for gluten-free folks. They carry a few gluten-free sweet baked goods. I asked for my latte to be less sweet & I swear they did the exact opposite. Maybe it was a miscommunication. I requested a half sweet latte & received undrinkable sweet milk for almost $10. It was actually undrinkable - not a hyperbole. I was pretty disappointed ): I probably won't be back again considering their prices & lack of savory gluten-free options, but I wish them the best. I ordered a lavender honey latte and the fresh Florentine breakfast sandwich. The lavender honey latte was smooth and nice hint of honey lavender flavor. The bread for the sandwich was so so good! It was a bit sweet which helped balance the flavor of the sandwich out! I did also add a bit of hot sauce which they provided! Would definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area! Absolutely love Fundati! Quick drive from my hotel, and it was worth every mile driven! I got the Chaggachino with oatmilk, and it was chef's kiss! Service was very kind, super easy to order ahead online, restaurant clean and nicely laid out with a patio, and the drink! Oh the drink! Not too sweet, great espresso flavor, and while I'm OK with a strong Chagga flavor, this did not have one whatsoever! I have visited Fundati multiple times, but my most recent trip was for the Rhode Island Food Fights Challenge. Fundati was easily in my top 3 favorites. The staff is so knowledgeable about the different types of coffee they offer and the brewing process. It is definitely reflected in the taste of the coffee. They also have delicious breakfast sandwiches. The shop is super cute and I've even been to pop up shops at this location from other local businesses. I went and right before they closed. I got chocolate chip cookie. It was excellent. I wanted a small cold brew and so she rang up a 16 oz coffee for $6 and I said well that's too much. So I just got the cookie. The service was excellent. She was very patient with me. I asked about the prices of a few different things because I never been there before. I also asked about the price of the peanut butter protein balls. It was $2.50 a ball I think. I passed on those too. read more

I love when I can grab my breakfast and coffee at Fundati! I love the vibe and design of the interior. They really try to make it a place where you can gather with friends or spend some time studying or reading. My favorite menu item is the Cajun Bacon breakfast sandwich. I also love their iced mochas. I went to Fundati most recently for the RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Summer Celebration and that is exactly what I got! The staff is always friendly and they work so hard to get everyone their quality cup of coffee and food. I would love to go to Fundati on a Friday and to try the Fundati Friday menu where they offer small bites and cocktails! That is on the summer bucket list for sure! read more

I finally had a chance to try this coffee shop and it really exceeded my expectations. I came in here around eleven o'clock and there weren't too many people because it wasn't the morning rush hour. I got a Medium roast coffee and a blueberry muffin to go. They brew each cup of coffee to order by filtering hot water through the coffee beans into a carafe. They use standard cream and sugar syrup instead of granulated sugar. The coffee was bold, smooth and crisp. No bitterness and no after taste. The muffin seemed to be made with whole wheat flour and had a natural flavor, and lots of huge fresh blueberries. The building was clean and inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd like to try their other coffee offerings and sandwiches next time. I definitely will be back and recommend Fundati Coffee! read more

WIsh I could keep this a "secret" for us RIers.....came by here on my way to a hike up in MA yesterday...greatful that they were opened on a Sunday...not too many mom and pops are opened on a Sunday... Love the drip coffee/pour over...they are definitely dedicated to the coffee process...scale/boiling water/filter....yes please..... I ordered the decaf cappuccino with oat milk cappuccino(smoooth & creamy) & a cinnamon roll (fresh baked- delish) ..smallish cafe (they do have a couple of seats for outside seating..vibe is relaxed....they have a few spots in the front of the store for 15 minute parking (which was perfect for me---couldn't linger)..but there is ample parking as the store is with other stores. So I'm going to start off by saying this place is a little pricey. A medium cold brew cost me $7. Yikes! Definitely more for the higher class crowd. Not to mention their mediums are the size of a small at most coffee shops, and coffee was not as strong as it was hopped up to be. I did not buy any food items, but they do have a decent selection.. they also have plenty more drinks than just the regular coffee i bought, but I was on a budget lol. The shop itself is a little small, it does have indoor dining though. Not the MOST decorative setting, but omgosh the cold brew coffee contraptions they have are phenomenal! Thats one thing that really caught my eye, I had never seen coffee being brewed like that. It's like an hourglass shape.. so cool. The workers were friendly and welcoming and the environment is calm. We ordered a hot cappuccino with whole milk, London fog with whole milk, and a blt. All the drinks were fantastic! The Earl gray in the London fog are loose tea pouches, this is the real deal! Blt was good and crunchy, but a little pricy just for a sandwich without any sides. We finished the blt inside to avoid attracting bugs. Then went outside to enjoy the rest of our drinks in the Sun.
