Everyone was super friendly and attentive. My favorite bite was the calamari. It was perfectly crisp and lightly battered and came with a variety of peppers. I ordered the halibut special and my only complaint is that the halibut could've had slightly more seasoning, but it was cooked well and the risotto was tasty! I tasted my mom's baked stuffed lobster, which was good, but slightly overcooked. Overall had a positive experience and I would consider going back. read more

My bf got the NY steak which was a generous portion including mashed and some Brussels sprouts, a carrot for decor. Steak was cooked perfect and had that nice smoke tasting note to it. I had the Chicken Spain which was a generous portion of 2pcs, came with mashed, some Brussels sprouts and a carrot for decor too. Wish their gravy had a little more to the serving, was a mushroom almost broth flavored gravy with a background hint of something I can't put my finger on... maybe Marsala wine??? Feel like their Bread & butter could be a lot better, super crusty and the butter was pretty flavorless and portion of it was a dollop. Fabulous Easter dinner at Spain Restaurant in Cranston. The experience couldn't have been better, not only because of the delicious food, but the impeccable service of our waiter, Justin. There's nothing like a server who anticipates your every need even before you articulate it and is always accessible but never hovers. I enjoyed a glass of Starling Castle Riesling with my Pollo au Limon with a side of angel hair pasta. My dining companion had the Pollo Napolean special. We both loved the crusty bread which we dipped in excellent olive oil. We had coffee and shared a piece of Bachata cake with Kahlua buttercream frosting for dessert. After calling the Manager over to complement the food and exemplary service, he sent complementary Amaretto cordials to our table. From start to finish, we couldn't have had a better meal... and we had plenty of leftovers to bring home and enjoy again. read more

Spain remains as an excellent dining venue with a phenomenal waitstaff and fabulous food. We always have to dine there just before or just after Christmas since the holiday decorations are so very beautiful and breath-taking. For this evening, we enjoyed the Arancini special as our appetizer followed by the delicious Spain salad which is what we really love from the salad choices. My husband's entree, the Bolognese which is a combination of pan seared ground veal, angus beef and pork tenderloin, carrots, onions and fresh tomato in a light sherry wine cream sauce over chef's pasta. He gave it a very high number! My Pollo al Limon was so tender and delightful. It was mouthwatering with it lightly battered very tender chicken cutlets, pan seared in lemon, sherry, chives, capers and white wine sauce. with mashed potato, brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes. It does not get any better than this! Our waiter, Carlos and his assistants were spectacular as always, great personalities and very kind ways that make us feel happy and relaxed. The ambience was what you'd expect from a high class restaurant. The waiter were on their "A" game and treated us like royal. We skipped appetizers and did a bottle of Chardonnay, Stuffed salmon and pasta champinonase, and coconut cheese cake. Everything was terrific and worth every penny. The waiters were super tentative where our water or wine was at 25%, it gets refilled asap!!! When my wife left the table to go freshen up, they took her cloth napkin and folded it. These small attention to details impressed us and showed that we are importantly. Everything that we look for in a restaurant is what "this" Spain restaurant has. We have been many times. In the past, I would have given them 4-5 stars. The last time there may be our final visit though. For the price, I expect stellar service. We have had subpar service (at best) the last few visits. The place has the air of celebration to it. Many people come for birthdays, anniversaries or other milestones. I have been here for those occasions as well. The food has been great, most of the time.... Including the sole franchaise, the paella, and many other items we have tried. What hasn't been great, is feeling forgotten. That was our last experience (as well as during another recent visit). There were at least 4 or 5 different things that made us feel this way. From the delay with our entree, forgetting to get a utensil for several minutes after the food arrived, leaving our water glasses empty, forgetting an item we asked for, it felt like we were being punked. And then no "sorry", no desert on the house (we were celebrating a birthday), no manager stopping over to check in, no "how can we do better?" So, Sorry, Spain, even though you are 5 minutes away from our home, I think I'll keep passing you by. read more

We went to Spain for my daughter's 34 th Birthday, we also went here for her 30th birthday. The service has always been top notch. We had the pleasure of having David for both visits with a fairly good amount of people with our table. David had great recommendations, he was attentive, always checking on Us. I had a seafood chowder for an appetizer that was delicious, for dinner I had the blackened sea bass which was also delicious and on the specials menu, for beverage I had a Long Island ice tea. The ambience is warming, cozy and sophisticated. I do recommend dressing us a bit as it is a nice atmosphere. David is A+ server. We all noticed him and were very happy to have him as a server. This RI restaurant is one of the most "Fancy Shmancy" establishments you can eat at in Little Rhody. My husband and I make an effort to come at least once per year for our anniversary. The well-trained, seasoned wait staff flawlessly attend to our needs. We are never left waiting. They always make us feel like royalty. They even serenaded us when they brought out our dessert to help us make our anniversary dinner even more special! The expansive wine selection offers bottles in multiple price ranges. We love Joseph Phelps so we opted for that, but there are more affordable selections as well. My husband ordered Jerez which is naturally gluten free. He raved about his meal! First time here, will definitely be the last. Over-all a very mediocre experience. I'll start with the decor, place is dated and in desperate need of a gut renovation. Has a very early 2000s vibe, with some mild updates. Menu is an odd mix, some spanish-esque but most dishes seem like standard Italian / American / Chop House fare. We ordered a wide range of dishes, the gambas were the best- the salad and clams casino were fine but nothing special (I could have produced better dishes at home). My entree was by far the biggest disappointment, our waiter raved over how good the paella was. The best way I could describe it would be "airplane paella". Beyond me going into the kitchen to watch them cook it, you could not convince me it wasn't pre-cooked and slopped into a paella pan after (the pan was look warm). Desserts were okay, flan uses gelatin and does not have the nice soft texture it should. 2 stars because our server was very nice and attentive. read more

I know Spain is where everyone went with their families growing up, but my family never went so I've only gone as an adult and I have to say it really is great. The service is impeccable. You get two waiters, they're constantly checking on you, they even serve you the food off the shared plate onto your individual plate when you order apps or paella. The three times I've been I'm always out upstairs so I literally couldn't tell you what dining downstairs is like, but we've always had a little private table On what I'd call a balcony outcove. Depending on how the table across from yo chooses to sit, you might be locking eyes with the other couple which was funny but not a big deal since we left pretty soon after they sat. They're going to get you to get a dessert or two because they bring out a huge tray with the fresh desserts so you know what they're serving and when you see it you can't say no! This is $$$ so definitely a good place for birthdays or anniversary's or celebrations in general. The food is great. Heavy on the seafood but u personally got them lemon chicken and subbed the potatos with angel hair and it's 10/10. Honestly, I see why everyone's family went growing up. It's such a random location and it looks so mid from the outside, but it really is worth it. Oh and men, no hats! There is a dress code outside and you should dress nice. The last time I went to Spain restaurant it was located in Narragansett Pier, so it has been quite a while. We were having a "goodbye " dinner as we are moving to Florida and my brother suggested the Warwick location as it was 1/2 way for all of us. We had a reservation and it's quite pretty inside. We were seated at the first round table as you walk into the dining room and while comfortable, the noise was so loud that we were yelling at each other. Because it is 2 stories, the sound rises and its almost unbearable. We spoke to the waiter, who has been there for 16 years and he said it's always like that. They couldn't move us as the upstairs was closed and the dining room was full. 3 people had the Arroz Con Pollo $27.95 - Chicken with saffron rice, tomato, mushrooms, and chorizo which they enjoyed. One person had the Pollo Al Limon - $27.95 Lightly battered tenderloin cutlets, pan seared in lemon, sherry, chives, capers and white wine sauce, served with mashed potatoes and she enjoyed it. My sister and I got one of the specials , Spain Sole which was fillet of sole stuffed with shrimp and scallops with rice and a vegetable. I don't remember the price but it was around $30-35. It sounded much better than it was. The shrimp and scallop in the stuffing were in big chunks and the sauce was not very flavorful. The fillet was fine, but again, not much flavor. It was a large portion and we ended up taking it home. My BF ate the leftovers and said it was just ok for him. Regardless, we were happy to all be together, even if we had to yell at each other. My first time here was told the steaks were excellent so I ordered the NY Strip well done (no red) ($50) came out red, not a problem they took and heated it again only for it to come back still red they took it again and by the time i got it back my party was done eating and I had a dried up hockey puck. One of my favorite restaurants in RI! I came here on a busy Friday night and self parking was full but I was easily able to valet. Valet is complimentary and quick. The ambiance is always great. Very romantic and one of the best atmospheres in the state for a candlelit date night with your honey. There is art work along the walls and high ceilings with beautiful lit light fixtures. For an appetizer I always order my all time favorite *drum roll please* : Gambas Al Aijillo (garlic shrimp in olive oil and spices.) The sauce is so good I like to dip my bread into the garlic spice sauce. The shrimp is always so flavorful and comes out sizzling on a cast iron pan. I also got the calamari, it comes with all rings (no tentacles - huge plus for me) and they were tender and breaded in a nice batter topped with peppers and olives with a house made cocktail sauce on the side. For an entree, I got Sole Franchaise - had a thick classic sauce served with mashed potatoes and string beans. The portion size was good with 3 pieces of sole. I also had Pollo Al Limon (lemon chicken/picatta) and it was seared in lemon sauce with a light batter. For a side I added in a pink vodka rigatoni. I asked for fresh Parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper on top. The sauce was creamy and thin and the pasta was very good. *Chocolate-holic Alert!* For dessert, I had the Mud Mug which is molten chocolate truffle centered cake with vanilla bean ice-cream. This was my first visit to Spain Restaurant and I was unsure of what to expect. The online photos were intriguing , so we took a chance on it. My son chose this as the place to celebrate his birthday this year and since he's a foodie, we trusted his instinct. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful from the outside and upon entering, we were surprised to find that the interior decor was equally inviting. The mood from the moment you enter the main host area is upscale and luxurious. The lighting is appropriately dim...creating an intimate atmosphere. Our servers, James and Ryan, were highly attentive and provided great recommendations. Each entree was seasoned to perfection and the presentations were exquisitely done. I enjoyed the stuffed salmon, while the rest of our party enjoyed veal, arroz con pollo, and the short rib special. The cocktail menu was also quite unique and my drink was made just right. The dessert selection was full of classics like cheesecake, crème brûlée, and tres leches, but something tells me that based on the emphasis on fresh ingredients, they would taste better than your average run of the mill desserts. First of all, this restaurant is beautiful. I visited Rhode Island in December and June and ate here both times. I ordered the Pollo Al Limon both times. The chicken is thin and perfectly cooked. The sauce is light and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and veggies completed the meal and I had leftovers. My mom got the Pasta Vigo last time and the mushroom pasta this time. Both were great but she especially loved the mushroom version! We shared a perfect Crème Brûlée last time. This time, mom got her own and I tried the Tres Leches cake. It's the best version I've eaten of this dessert. It was my birthday celebration but they sang to my mom and write the birthday message on her dessert plate. Last time, we needed to ask for water refills. This time, service was impeccable. You truly feel as if you are at an even higher end restaurant. This is a great place to go for a nice meal, or to celebrate something special. The ambience is vibrant but the service is so attentive, you'll be able to relax. I highly recommend this restaurant. What an unexpected gem. This place is totally out of Cranston's league. I never would have expected to have such an awesome meal with such an awesome atmosphere when driving down the road that it sits on. We came to celebrate Father's day and it was packed. I highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially for a holiday. Immediately walking in, I was impressed. Spain has such beautiful decor and ample seating. We were seated upstairs and had two wonderful servers who took care of us. They were constantly ensuring that our waters were full and that all of the food was to the perfect standard. We tried quite a few appetizers: calamari, beef empandillos, the Spain salsa and a salad. The salad came with figs and nuts and was one of my favorite things. The calamari was also delicious. All is the entrees were amazing. We ordered the grilled salmon, the Veal Spain and the paella for one. The salmon was by far the best salmon dish I have ever had. No wonder everyone around us was also eating it. Seriously incredible. The Veal Spain was also a showstopper. Perfectly cooked bone-in veal chop stuffed heartily with a lobster and crab stuffing and then served with the most delicious mushroom sauce. I would definitely order again. If you are into big portions, the paella is the way to go and so worth it. The serving for one person is easily enough for four. They are super generous with all of the seafood in it, as well.
