We had lunch here today after reading the great reviews. We walked in and the place was jam packed we were surprised almost left because of the noise level. I am glad we didn't. We started with the Classic calamari, it was fresh and crispy and served with a smoky chipotle mayo which was great. We also had the volcano shrimp which was good but could have used some heat. We had a mid course of lobster ravioli. The sauce was excellent. Next I had the crab cakes which were all crab meat not half breading like some places it came with a huge mound amazing homemade fries. We also had the Barrel cut Filet Mignonette. This was the star of the show. Perfectly cooked medium rare, juicy and flavorful. As good as any top city steakhouse! It came with fresh cooked spinach very tasty a big fluffy baked potato and a light peppercorn sauce. Thanks to manager Meagan for taking good care of us we will be back soon and often. read more

Very skeptical since living in Patchogue for 8 years and never heard anything about it. But I was very surprised! We got there it was so homie, it's not large which I liked a lot. Very intimate. Very warm and happy feeling. We had appetizers that were so good. The dinner and dessert amazing. I have the lobster and shrimp gnocchi delicious! And a creme brûlée cheese cake to die for. Our waitress Lisa was a lot of fun and totally made our night. Even had some jokes of her own that we totally appreciate!! I would go there again any day of the week. We moved to the area not too long ago and have been searching for a go to spot with superb food. After our first meal there I think we found it. Cozy warm atmosphere, great beer wine selection and an eclectic menu. We saw that the crab cakes and fish sandwich got great reviews so we tested them out. Crab cakes were all meat and delicately cooked and the fish sandwich was fresh and tender from the bun to the heirloom tomatoes. I usually cringe when Kale is on my plate in any form other than a garnish but I couldn't get enough of their kale slaw. Service was friendly the the food was prompt. Highly recommend this joint and We are looking forward to our next meal there. read more

I have eaten here 3 times and each time it was fantastic! The service and atmosphere was wonderful! The meals were amazing! We've had the steak ravioli's, barrel-cut filet mignon, crab cakes with risotto, pan seared jumbo scallops and rock shrimp, and a bacon cheeseburger. Great beer and wine selections. Came here with my daughter last night for a little girls night midweek dinner after passing by many times. All I can say is WOW!. What a little diamond. The ambiance, service ( Meghan was great) and food were fabulous. The bread was fantastic. What a difference when it is homemade!. Had the branzino. Perfectly done. My daughter had a burger. My husband and I went to the South Ocean Grill yesterday to celebrate his birthday. This was our first time here, so we didn't know what to expect. The food and the service were excellent. The Mexico City Corn 'on the Cobb' was incredible. I had the Barrel-Cut Filet Mignon. The steak was cooked to perfection and cut like butter. My husband had the Pan-seared Jumbo Scallops and Rock Shrimp, which he said was amazing. For dessert, I had the Banana Hot Fudge Sundae and my husband had the special Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Cake, which were both great. The dining room is on the small side, so be sure to make a reservation. This may have become our favorite neighborhood spot. read more

What a great surprise. Came here for a double date the other night and we were all pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth wandering off of Main Street for. We have been meaning to have a meal here and then my aunt and uncle stopped by yesterday so we decided to walk over from the house. We were all very pleased with our meals I would highly recommend this place the wait staff was wonderful. I had a mushroom saute flatbread that was very good. Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger and it was cooked to his specifications. Came here for lunch with my husband and mother in law. Never knew this was here but glad we found it! They have a diverse menu. We didn't have to wait at all for a table, but I would probably make a reservation for dinner as I can see this place fill up fast. We had the white bean dip to start, my husband ordered the jumbo scallops and rock shrimp, I ordered the special- Cod with risotto and my mother in law had the filet mignon. All done just right! We stopped in on a Wednesday night and were able to be seated with no reservations. Our server Jules ran down the specials for us and we tried a raspberry limeade drink-very refreshing. I had the fish sandwich since the fish for the day was salmon. Perfectly cooked on a fresh sesame roll with tomato and cole slaw. Fries delicious. We came here last minute for my moms birthday dinner because she is THE pickiest eater you will ever meet. So with no reservation we sat down with a table of 6 right away. It is hidden in this tiny cute place. You wouldn't know it's there unless you were looking. I gave one star so that I could even write this review. We had a 9:15 reservation and arrived 9:20. When we walked in the hostess said that my son should have checked his phone because they decided to shut the kitchen down early. He is a nurse and is unable to use his phone at work. He did have a message stating that they could accommodate us earlier if we chose and to contact them if we wanted to come earlier. We asked to speak with the owner who refused to come out of the back area. They would not open the kitchen to serve us even though there were patrons eating outside. The hostess just kept saying they were slow so they decided to close the kitchen. Why did they even take our reservation in the first place?? I just moved to the area and have eaten at many wonderful restaurants. This is one I will never go to again. Very unprofessional. No apologies, just matter-of-fact. read more

Just dined here with my boyfriend for the first time and we had a fantastic dinner. Our waitress was very sweet and the atmosphere was comfortable. The rustic/ocean decor was fitting. We started with the cheese plate and the mushroom goat cheese flatbread, both were good. We then shared the Roquefort burger with French fries and a baked potato. The burger was wonderfully juicy and the homemade burger bun was so fresh. We ordered the Nutella peanut butter crepe, YUM, and the peanut butter pie, deliciously rich. They sent out the banana bread beer float which was surprisingly awesome, not too sweet but a great way to end the meal. We left very stuffed and happy. read more

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I decided to break away from the norm and try someplace new and different. My husband is a chef for the past 20yrs and hard to please when eating out and he was blown away. The kale salad was AMAZING, the Louisiana Chxn sandwich was right on the money. We also got the chicken club but if I were to have it again I'd def get it on the homemade sesame bun instead of whole wheat toast. I don't like to do this kind of review but I feel it is necessary. It's been about a half a year since the visit but I was reminded of the bad experience and decided to write this. I got food poisoning from the burger here. The food tasted good, but I didn't feel better until the next night. Felt like a hard metal ball was in my stomach. Should have called the establishment the next day, but I guess being sick made me unmotivated and not want to call. My wife's meal she enjoyed. And they treated us very nice our anniversary... Maybe it's just the burgers. Anyway wanted to at least worn you all/perhaps let the establishment know through this review if they catch wind of it. Maybe they'll never do it again, they were nice the food tasted good... but I thought the burger was perhaps a little undercooked, it was hard to tell with all the sauce and ingredients mixed in. read more

We came here today for a Mother's Day lunch. We could not have been more pleased! I had the Rainbow Trout special which was spectacular. My daughter had the salmon, which was also cooked to perfection, as was my husband's burger. For dessert we shared the creme brulee cheesecake which was also outstanding.
