    Cocktails at Spiro's
    Kimmy K.

Dear Spiro's, thank you for making my Husband's Birthday so beautiful on 4/6/26. Our food & cocktails were delicious. We enjoyed the 1/2 lb Stuffed Lobster Tail & Salmon Entrees. What made the night extra special was that we had the Sweetest (Married) Waitress & Waiter Duo in Long Island. They kept us laughing & supplied with every single thing we needed. We had such a great time that I forgot to take pictures of our entrees. Our unexpected table by the fireplace was so cozy & romantic! Oh & the Cocktails 10/10!!

Monday Lobster Night at Spiros - They've got this wild 3-course pre-fixe with a 2lb whole stuffed lobster for $55. It started with the grilled eggplant layered with ricotta and parmesan--like if eggplant parm went to Italy for the summer and came back enlightened. Then I tried the eggplant with pesto and shrimp - It was rich, herby, sweet, salty--just flavor fireworks. This 2lb Lobster was just unreal. Stuffed with crabmeat and bay scallops - it was fresh and oh so buttery. The asparagus had the perfect crunch The sangria was Cold, fruity, dangerously easy to drink more than one. And dessert? A raspberry cheesecake that looked like art and tasted like a dream--creamy, tart, sweet, gone in two bites.

We had the opportunity to dine here tonite for their final night of winter restaurant week. We chose this place because of their diverse menu and I'm glad we did. The ambiance at this New American steakhouse is very inviting. Quite romantic yet offers a great social gathering scene. For appetizer, my wife got the grilled shrimp and eggplant while I got the crab cake. Both tasted scrumptious and amazing temperature. For main entree, I got the 18oz NY strip steak which was cooked to perfect ask of medium rare. My wife got the pan seared grouper which came with bay scallops sitting on top of a crab cake. I had a few bites of her and I am not usually into a creamy looking dish, but her's was delish. Let me tell you, the food tasted amazing and the portion were decent. We also love our waiter, Chris B., as he was very engaging and checked on us throughout. Definite recommend and we will surely be back.

To br honest the chicken tenders and french fries were more impressive than everything else. All the seafood lacked seasoning . The coconut margarita was pretty good!

Great service and great drinks! Loved my toasted coconut margarita. We shared apps and I loved how the whole restaurant filled with the aroma of the bacon wrapped scallops, that's how you know they make everything fresh! Everything was so good! We're going back for more soon!

Came here to celebrate a birthday last night. It was my second time in a few years, but the food was phenomenal! Amazing size portions and great service. We were legit so full before the end of appetizers that most of us took a good part of our entrees home. For apps, we started with the Oysters Rockefeller, Calamari, Cobbs Salad with Chicken (dressing on the side), and Scallops Wrapped in Bacon. All so good!! That salad was one of the best I've ever had. So much chicken on top and grilled to perfection. Just wish they gave a little more salad to even it out. For entrees, I had the NY Strip, the Lobster and Shrimp meal, the hamburger, etc. Our server Colette was so kind and attentive, and even with four kids in our party, she was so patient. It was a Tuesday, so the restaurant was busy, but not overly loud, with folks sitting on top of each other. We will definitely be back. Everything was great!!

Lamb & Lobster - rack of lamb (sliced) and crab meat stuffed lobster tail. MIL did not care for this dish that much

We brought my MIL here for her birthday lunch this past weekend. We dined early and I was able to score reservations with no issue. The restaurant is less than 16 minutes from her home so it was an easy ride. They have a nice-sized lot and we found parking easily. We spied a large outdoor gazebo and I wonder if they offer seating out there or events, during the warmer months. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. I was not able to see the entire restaurant but it looks expansive. They have a beautiful attached patio for dining. It was brightly lit, with flowers everywhere. I even stepped in the doorway to take a picture and it smelled like a flower shop. The restaurant was getting ready for a large party and we saw them putting together flower arrangements, some of which were placed in the dining room in which we were seated. It's a very nice looking restaurant. Jimmy was our server and you can tell he is seasoned. I overheard him training and explaining to the younger bussers/servers how to serve tables and how/when to remove plates. We had some drinks and mains, sat a while and enjoyed an OK meal. The menus didn't match. They have a QR code at the table that leads you to their website menu, which has more menu items than are on the physical menus that we received at the table. They also had a specials menus with additional dishes. Soup Of The Day - on this particular day, it was chicken feta soup. Our kiddo surprisingly ordered this. It tasted good to me but I think it was a little ambitious for her. Shrimp Bisque - I ordered this. It tasted ok. The soup itself, was creamy, and I was surprised to find 4 large shrimp in it as well. They did not taste super fresh, probably previously frozen, but they were big and the soup portion was decent. Mac & Cheese - another choice by our kiddo. She's a kid that won't pick mac & cheese for a dish but decided to on this visit. The dish was served in a very hot dish that came straight out of the oven. A pet peeve of mine is when the meal for the kid at the table comes last, and that's what happened exactly. Staff should always ensure that the child's dish arrives to the table prior to the adults. Lamb & Lobster - my MIL ordered this dish. It's supposed to be a play on surf & turf, but instead of steak, she received a rack of lamb with a crabmeat-stuffed lobster tail. They slice the rack and the chops are small, so I would suggest ordering a temp slightly under your desired level. She ordered mid-well (I knowwwwwww) and later wished she had ordered medium instead. She said that the lobster was not that great either. Grilled Octopus - I ordered this from their specials menu. I was initially going to go for a salad but this item caught my eye. It was served atop a mesclun salad with a vinaigrette. Unfortunately, the octopus was extremely tough and chewy. A great disappointment. I love grilled octopus but when it's rubbery and hard, it's so bad. It was like I was chewing gum. At the end of our meal, I ordered an espresso martini and that wasn't the best either. It tasted like they put a sweetener or syrup in it. It tasted artificial, for lack of a better word. Another thing that irked me was that fact that they don't take care to wipe the bottom of their stemmed glasses prior to serving drinks. I had a sparkling rosé first, and didn't see the pool of liquid on the base of the stem, so when I took a sip, it poured all over my lap. Whomever poured it, or even the server, should have noticed that the liquid spilled. The same thing happened with the espresso martini but it was more visible so I was able to catch it and clean it before it spilled on me. Hubby reminded me that this restaurant is mostly a steakhouse, so I probably should have opted for meat dishes or a salad. I'm not sure I would suggest to come back because, it just wasn't my cup of tea, despite the lovely decor, but if we do, I will definitely order differently.

Reading all the reviews about this place. Had to see for myself what it was all about. First off ambiance, not as spectacular as viewers raved about. The place looks like an extended bar environment. If you're looking to impress your partner for date night, this place isn't it!!! The best part of this restaurant is the name Spiro's outside. Service, well our waiter was very good at what he does, other staff helping were very unfriendly and look lost, zombie like. Food was just okay. Not super good but not the worst. My first entree was ice cold then the waiter brought me back a hot plate immediately. Drinks ehh, soft drinks, glass are very small. Do they deserve 5 stars not at all. Should they get one. Maybe...but two is reasonable for the quality of what you're getting to really sum it up.

Very nice spot, especially for Rocky Point which is not the most upscale of towns. Service was good, food was very good, ambiance was okay.

Went in for a friends 30th Birthday party on a Sunday night. The waitress Ashley was fantastic. Very fast service and always came back to make sure we were good on drinks. They had a priced fix 3 course option for $55 that most of us opted to do. Food portions were huge! I got the stuffed lobster. It was big and juicy but wasn't my favorite. A couple of friends got the steak and said it was amazing. Will definitely be coming back!

Went to the Watermark, parking lot was inaccessible, seems people don't know how to park over there. Even the street spaces were full. We headed further west, Flying Pig was closed down, we had been to Crazy Beans, then a quick Google search pulled up a spot we'd never heard of before. Pulled up to a strip mall where BlackSheep was located, nice big parking lot as expected. Walked in, and we were the first ones there. The place smelled fantastic. We sat ourselves and perused the menu. The server came by and enumerated the specials, but I was fixated on Braise your Belly. We also got me-mah's mac and cheese, and started off with the Roasted Garlic Northern Bean Dip and the Minestrone soup. The Bean Dip starter was fantastic. All the little things you need for a perfect bite. A scoop of bean dip on a toasted pita wedge, stick a couple of kalamata olives on the bean dip mortar (3 olives were too much), add pickled red onion and fire-roasted peppers, then top with crumbled feta. Amazing bite. I had a taste of the Minestrone, and it was excellent. Flavors were all there without being overdone. The pasta was nice and cooked just right. The mac and cheese was perfect. I couldn't put my finger on the cheeses used, but it all came together nicely. You didn't just get a mouthful of one cheese flavor. It was creamy, balanced, and the crispy onions on top made it really nice. and the stunner. I am a big fan of pork belly, and this really piqued my interest. Served with lemongrass grits and pickled veg with a soy miso glaze. The pickled veg was tossed in a bed of leafy greens, and I saw some seaweed salad in there as well. A little bite of the grits topped with the salad was amazing. I've never had that combo before. A little tart, a little salty, nice umami, I could have eaten a bowl of just that. However, when the pork belly came into play, everything changed. The crisped, lightly charred crust on the fatty slices of nirvana by themselves were perfect. Cut a piece of it and lay it on the grits-salad bite, and you can feel your eyes roll backwards. I wanted to, and almost ate it all, but I left a slice for my girlfriend and topped off her little bit of mac and cheese that she wanted to take home. Half an hour in, and the place pretty much packed out for a bit while they were doing a healthy amount of takeout/pickup orders. The place is pretty simple: interesting Black Sheep art, with mostly little tables, plasticware, and a drinks cooler. The food can certainly be right at home in a fancier and upscale setting, but doesn't need it. They had one server, and she was delightful and attentive to everyone. The chef came around and asked how everything was, which I find is always a nice touch. Definitely coming back.

*January 2026 Restaurant Week*…read more My wife's bestie made plans for the (4) of us to meet for dinner. We all live close so Fifth Season Restaurant was chosen. I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.
