Started with the anticucho (beef hearts) as recommended by Jake and perfectly paired with the cause rellena (basically a cold potato salad) Jimmy served up delicious drinks behind the bar and I'm obsessed pisco (Peruvian brandy) Have to order the arroz con marisco (Peruvian paella) Best rice I've ever had! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Has that local, family oriented vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely check out this spot!

We stopped here while on our way to my MIL's home to kick off our weekend on Long Island. It was pretty late and we really wanted to make sure we ate something, so we decided to look for something in the area while we were on the road, that we could order and just pick up. Peruvian is one of our favorite cuisines, so we searched for restaurants and came across Incas. I was a little worried because they only have 2 reviews on Yelp but I chalked it up to them likely being new, so we took a chance. SOOOOO GLAD WE DID! Hubby called to ensure they were open because of conflicting hours of operation posted online and one of the owners, Jenny, answered. She was very accommodating. We explained our situation and she helped us make our order while also ensuring that our food would be ready by the time we arrived. We were 8 minutes away when Jenny called to let us know that our order was ready. When we arrived, she and her husband were welcoming. They were actually closing but they held the kitchen open for us. They've only been open for about 6 weeks and are gearing up for their official grand opening on Sunday, July 28th. The date is special, as it commemorates Peru's Independence Day. There will be music, menu samplings and what looks to be a great vibe. We got to know the owners pretty well. Jenny is originally from Queens and moved onto LI to be with her hubby ten years ago. They opened their restaurant not even realizing there was a strong Peruvian community in the area. This place is official. The food we had was fantastic. Obviously, we went with their pollo a la brasa, chicken chaufa, salchipapas, avo salad and their criollo salad (onion salad). All were delicious. Their green sauce is AMAHZING! It's definitely a pleasant change from the weird mint green-colored aji verde we've experienced at another franchise-style Peruvian spot that shall remain nameless, IYKYK. Some things that stood out at Incas, was their alfajores, which are smaller than I've seen, so we're able to enjoy a few more bites. Jenny even made us two pisco sours while we chatted. They were so good. She's a pro and even educated us on the preparation and history of pisco. We also had some pisco shots for good measure. We also tried their chocoflan, which was really nice and not overly sweet. They boast a nice dining area and I love the nods to their culture. I don't even care that we're over an hour drive away. I'm definitely coming for their grand opening, despite having to also work in the city that day. Something tells me it's going to be worth it. Please come out and support this small business! Hours of operation: Tue-Thur: 12p-9p Fri/Sat: 12p-10p Sunday: still up in the air but possibly 10A-7P to accommodate for a brunch seating.

Yeesssss!!! This place is legit. It's so good. The ambience is great, nice and big tables with lots of space, beautiful decor. The people were very nice and helpful. Food, so good. Everything we ordered was great. We had the Pisco sour and Inca soda, then had rotisserie chicken and ceviche. Everything tasted so flavorful and great size portions. My favorite thing was the green spicy sauce they bring in the beginning with roasted corn, I could eat that on anything. Highly recommend this place.

Drinks were fresh, unique, and delicious. Ceviche was fresh and also very tasty. Cute traditional popcorn on table. Very attentive service. Healthy portions.

This place is sooooooo good. The ceviche was fantastic. I could've drank a thousand of those pisco sours. The food was so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Could iron out some kinks decor wise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But honestly I would eat this food anywhere. Service was good. In three years this place will be busy busy. We love South American food and we're so excited to try Inca's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice setting with great staff who make excellent drink and food suggestions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband had a delicious drink suggested by the mixologist. We both had churrasco, the portions are very generous. Included avocado salad, rice and beans were all very good. Chimichurri is spicy and delicious. We added the red onion salsa and plantains sides. Absolutely delicious. We took home choco flan for dessert. We will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic new Peruvian restaurant. Jimmy was incredibly hospitable and provided great service. Portions were all respectable in size and more importantly were fresh & delicious! Authentic dishes especially their ceviche and pescado a lo macho. Cocktails may take a second (server is also the bartender at this time) and they are worth the wait as they were amazing! Definitely worth coming by to experience for yourself.

We were so fortunate to be in the small room in the front..which is significantly quieter and more intimate than rest of place. My only knock on Savino's is: it gets extremely loud when crowded. Enjoyed Calamari and grilled octopus apps. Calamari was delicious but a little chewy. Happens sometimes. Dinner I had an amazing swordfish with crab meat & bearnaise sauce on top. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Enjoyed immensely! Husband had stuffed flounder, other friend papardelle with seafood, and lastly chicken Franchese. Everyone loved their food. Our waiter was very congenial & attentive. We were too full for dessert. Would have stayed in bar area for drinks but it was packed by time our dinner was through. Love the rustic atmosphere. As far as what you would can consider a "Great NY Slice" this place is a must try. If you know pizza, you know that consistency is not easy. Lately, Branchinelli's has been slacking and I can only attribute it to management, turnover and no one paying attention to the kids behind the counter. Whether it is missing items on take-out orders, or lately just rushing through the pie making motions. Two nights ago, we ordered two pies, only to arrive home and find two undercooked slop pies. Pepperoni was thrown on with carelessness with mounds of it all over the place and it was cooked line the pepperoni was an afterthought. The crust was under cooked and overall a soggy mess. My wife and I arrived early on a Tuesday evening and reservations were not necessary. Upon entering, we were promptly seated. Shortly thereafter, a basket of corn tortilla chips arrived with a mild dipping sauce. I cannot attest to the dip, however, the chips were warm, lightly salted, and crispy. For an appetizer we ordered fried calamari. As an entree, I chose the Don Quijote Mixed Grill. This consists in marinated grilled skirt steak, pork loin, chicken breast, Latin sausage, tostones, white rice, and pinto beans. I substituted additional white rice for the pinto beans. The calamari arrived hot and they were delicious. Definitely to be shared by two. My entree arrived sizzling on a flat iron grill. Everything was delicious. I enjoy a hearty meal, but I could not finish the abundance of excellent food on my plate. Of course I grew a desert appetite so I ordered the fudge chocolate cake and a decaffeinated cappuccino. Both the cake and the cappuccino were excellent. My only negative comment was that I received a fatty cut of pork. Notwithstanding this, I would still give the restaurant six stars if I could. This is how good the food was. Takeaways 1. Reservations not needed mid-week. 2. Abundant parking. 3. Excellent service. 4. Fantastic food. 5. Great service. 6. Superb portion to price. I asked my spouse. Ordered chile rellenos, the three taco meal, and had a pork belly appetizer that we shared between us. Took most of it home, and I have to say, I love Mexican/Latin food, but this was the blandest selection of food I have had since trying a can of Amy's vegetarian Tom Kha soup. Amy sucks every last bit of flavor, joy and life from Thai cuisine, and while the food at Don Quixote wasn't depressing, it lacked what I expect from Latin food: A little spice, some savor, cultural pride maybe. I guess that's why we hadn't been back. But, if you look at reviews, most others seem to like it pretty well, so you'll have to decide for yourself. I may have been there too early, just as the kitchen was warming up, or maybe just an "off" day. Your experience may vary.

Hidden Gem Alert!…read more My friends and I recently discovered Pisco Peruvian Nikkei, tucked away in a shopping center in Centereach, and what an incredible find it was! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had stepped into a chic Manhattan restaurant. The ambiance is a beautiful fusion of Peruvian and Asian influences. One wall features stunning artwork of an Asian woman, while another pays homage to Peruvian culture. A cozy lounge area with tan leather seating is anchored by a magnificent tree adorned with vibrant red leaves--it was absolutely beautiful. Toward the back of the restaurant, beneath the striking mural, is the sushi bar, adding even more character to the space. We chose to sit at the bar in the heart of the restaurant, perfectly positioned to take in both the Peruvian and Asian influences that make this place so unique. Our bartender, Santiago, was exceptional. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely wanted to make sure we enjoyed every part of our dining experience. Waiting for us at the bar was a delicious green sauce paired with roasted Peruvian corn to snack on--a simple touch that set the tone for the meal to come. For dinner, we ordered the lamb chops, and they were absolutely outstanding--perfectly cooked and so tender they practically melted in my mouth. They were served with fried rice infused with just the right hint of ginger, which was simply fabulous. Our host and manager, Kenia, graciously brought us a sample of their white rice, and it was just as flavorful and memorable. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was inviting, and the hospitality was second to none. Every detail came together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you, Kenia, Santiago, and the entire team at Pisco Peruvian Nikkei for such a delectable evening. We'll definitely be back again... and again! I'd give it (5/5 stars). The ambiance really sets the tone, it honestly made me feel like I was away on vacation, which I loved! It just has that kind of relaxing, elevated atmosphere that makes you want to sit back and enjoy the whole experience. The entrée was great ,the meat was cooked really well and the portion sizes were generous, which I definitely appreciated. The grilled Spanish octopus was also a standout, super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The mocktail I had (guava citrus) was amazing, refreshing and probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. The only thing that fell a bit short for me was the alfajores. I was really hoping for a fresh, melt-in-your-mouth dessert, but it tasted like it had been refrigerated. The flavor itself wasn't bad, just not what I expected, so I personally wouldn't recommend that item. I did pair that with a house coffee and wow it was so good I had to ask the waitress where was it from! The waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive! Overall, still a solid spot with a great vibe, good food, and a really beautiful setting. I had a really nice time and would definitely come back to try more from the menu
