I have ordered to go from here a few times and the Pad Thai with beef is always delicious.

Service: Extremely slow. It took FOREVER to order and FOREVER to pay the bill. This place is family run and it looks like they don't have the best time management between serving in restaurant guests and taking phone orders. Food: Chicken Satay- Tender and Juicy. There was a wonderful char to the skewers and the meat was not dry! I would get this time and time again! Chicken Pad See Ew- My Favorite. I love this dish because of the sweet sauce! It came out piping hot and the vegetables were nice and crunchy. On to my next food adventure...

Haven't had Thai in a long time and I'm glad this is the spot I chose to reintroduce it to my life. Service is great, restaurant is clean and the food was amazing. Green curry with coconut rice was perfect!! Will be back!

This was our first time trying Thai food, and we were not disappointed. For appetizer, we had the crunchy noodle wrapped shrimp and chicken vegetable fried dumplings. Both were excellent! My husband the Lemongrass Pork chops, which he loved. They were pounded thinly and charbroiled perfectly. I had the fried noodles with chicken, calamari and shrimp - delicious!! The only bad thing is, we didn't find this place sooner!!

Come here often for dinner. I'm glad there's a decent Thai restaurant around the way. My fiancé has cravings for Thai food all the time. Here's what we order regularly: - chicken satay - Chicken or beef grilled on skewers with peanut sauce - pad see ew chicken - Thai country-style stir-fried broad rice noodles w.Chinese broccoli & eggs (choice of chicken or beef) - (chicken) gang panang - Thick panang curry with chicken or beef with basil, coriander, peppers & coconut milk - mango and sticky rice - Fresh mango w. sweet sticky rice topped w. coconut milk - thai tea (not pictured) We usually order for take out. And they come out fairly fast with the order. I recommend trying this place out if you're around.

It's very casual and completely open so a comfortable place to eat. Service is very friendly and accomodating. I was with my daughter and we were very hungry so we started with an order of garlic bread. I had to unfortunately return it as it tasted more like toasted bread, hardly any garlic! The second time they got it right! Tasty, tasty, seasoned perfectly and fresh out of the oven, piping hot! We also ordered mozzarella sticks. They were very good but the sauce I did not like! My main course was the Shrimp Scampi. The shrimp was extremely fresh and succulent, the sauce was prepared flavorful and delicious. The presentation on the plate wasn't the best, it looked kind of lonely but really made no difference, just had to mention. Maybe some garnishment or scattered parsley when plated might be nice. This was absolutely a perfect dish for me but next time I will order extra sauce. I chose the rice as a side and that too was very flavorful and delicious! The restaurant was packed, but people were also finishing up their meals so we gave it a shot. We were able to sit outside and the outside dining area was set up really nice and comfortable with bistro lighting and even some potted palm trees. Felt more like San Diego than Port Jefferson. Inside was also tastefully done up in the nautical theme which is good to know if it's a rainy day or in the colder weather. I've read some reviews about the service and we had the exact opposite with super attentive service. Our server, Brianna came over right away and took our order in no time. I mentioned doing a dish gluten free and she asked if I had celiac. She went above and beyond making sure that my meal would be safe to eat and offered substitutions so there would be no cross contamination. I've had the condition for 18 years so I know pretty well what I can tolerate and that most places let you down and I just deal with it. That wasn't the case at all here and Brianna made sure of it. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip and this was one of the best versions I ever had. Like in the top 3 really and one the other two was home made. It was that good. I had plenty of carrots and celery to nosh on with the dip and they kept the bread on a separate plate altogether. Like I said, they really understood my condition I also had bariatric surgery back in the winter and I'm slowly venturing out in the world of solid food. So I picked the surf and turf steak and lobster sandwich. I figured I know I can handle steak if done right and I wouldn't be too bummed if I couldn't tolerate the lobster. Brianna had it served to me on a really good gluten free bun. This sandwich really worked out so much better than I thought it would. The steak was exactly to order and the lobster was super tender. I was only able to have maybe a fifth to a quarter of it. That's equally because that's all I can physically have these days and because the sandwich was beyond huge. The rest of the family's choices were home runs too and included a killer wedge salad, a perfectly cooked burger and salmon. Those were devoured so no complaints with those as well. It should be noted by the reactions by everyone at the adjacent tables were having a very similar experience and it was just a really enjoyable time. Our family is getting older (aren't we all), so diners and moments like this are so special. Castaways definitely held up its end of the bargain. I'm so glad we stopped in, and I can't wait to stop back the next time we're down port.

We ordered fried calamari as appetizers and a zuppa di pesce - while zuppa is translated as soup in English, the dish is closer to what may be considered a fish stew. In addition to the fried calamari we also ordered a large salad that we split. Cova is a unique restaurant that serves dinner in a family-style format. This means that the entrees are designed to be shared between two or four people. While the food is excellent, for a hungry person, the amount per serving is not worth the price. Unfortunately, the cappuccino maker was not in service, so I ordered a regular cup of decaffeinated coffee. Regrettably, the coffee was not to my liking. The Takeaways: 1. The food is very tasty. 2. The coffee is not good. 3. The price to portion ration is poor. 4. Parking is ample. 5. Make reservations.

But if that isn't available, you have to find a spot in the lot and then find the inconvenient sign with a QR code at a $1/hour. The bar was busy when we arrived. We were seated at a table near the windows and were able to see the amazing sunset, as well as the ferry, which both arrived and departed several times during our meal. Our server was Destiny, who was very nice and did her job well. We had ordered some cocktails which took a very long time because there was only 1 bartender attending to the crowd. As for appetizers, we chose the mozzarella steak, the garlic and herb mussels and the cauliflower bites. All were served beautifully and tasted good as well. We also asked for bread and a loaf was served warm with olive oil and a half WELL roasted garlic bulb (most likely used for decoration) but it should have been roasted a lot less for it to be used as a spread. Dinner was the steak frites, twin lobster tails and golden glaze salmon. The steak was served with a salsa verde, the lobster was accompanied by a small gravy boat of drawn butter, a half corn cob and 4 roasted baby potatoes. The salmon, was my dish and was crispy and tasty, served over broccolini stalks and purple forbidden rice. Dessert took a while to come out and we were worried that we wouldn't get back to our car for the expiration of our time. It worked out. 2 of us ordered chocolate cake and I had the cheesecake. The portions were huge! I think what took so long was that they had to open up a new cake because 1 slice was warm and fudgy, while the other was more solid and dense. Not a problem, still delicious. What an amazing place, they made our night perfect! The service was impeccable, the bus boy so attentive my husband gave him a $5 tip at the end of dinner. To start, you are served some toasted buttery like pieces of bread with hummus. I do not like hummus but my husband said it was the best he's ever had! They did bring me plain bread with homemade butter which was delicious! I chose the chicken spring rolls that came with a mango type sipping sauce as my appetizer. Outstanding, I can't say enough about how delicious the spring rolls are. Filled to the brim with a filling loaded with chicken! I was so tempted to order another serving but I wanted to save room for dinner. I absolutely will next time! Unlike many restaurants, at Fifth Season,, you can choose other side dishes if you're not happy with what your dish is served with as noted on the menu! I wanted the chicken but chose the coconut rice and organic carrots as my sides instead and I have to say, its a MUST for you to try as well. The flavor of each is so perfect, the rice is like a risotto consistency but hard to explain. Just trust me on this, over the top delicious! The chicken was very tasty and flavorful, just needed a little more sauce (that's my liking though! I love lots of extra sauce on my food), but I highly recommend trying this dish! We did not order dessert, my family wanted to get some ice cream in town but I will try dessert next time. The Fifth Season is now in the top five favorite restaurants for me! Unfortunately, I'll have to wait for a weekend to dine there again as I wouldn't make it home in time for during the week but I plan on returning very soon! I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.
