    Pad Thai with Beef

I have ordered to go from here a few times and the Pad Thai with beef is always delicious.

Service: Extremely slow. It took FOREVER to order and FOREVER to pay the bill. This place is family run and it looks like they don't have the best time management between serving in restaurant guests and taking phone orders. Food: Chicken Satay- Tender and Juicy. There was a wonderful char to the skewers and the meat was not dry! I would get this time and time again! Chicken Pad See Ew- My Favorite. I love this dish because of the sweet sauce! It came out piping hot and the vegetables were nice and crunchy. On to my next food adventure...

Haven't had Thai in a long time and I'm glad this is the spot I chose to reintroduce it to my life. Service is great, restaurant is clean and the food was amazing. Green curry with coconut rice was perfect!! Will be back!

Fried noodles with calamari, chicken and shrimp

This was our first time trying Thai food, and we were not disappointed. For appetizer, we had the crunchy noodle wrapped shrimp and chicken vegetable fried dumplings. Both were excellent! My husband the Lemongrass Pork chops, which he loved. They were pounded thinly and charbroiled perfectly. I had the fried noodles with chicken, calamari and shrimp - delicious!! The only bad thing is, we didn't find this place sooner!!

Come here often for dinner. I'm glad there's a decent Thai restaurant around the way. My fiancé has cravings for Thai food all the time. Here's what we order regularly: - chicken satay - Chicken or beef grilled on skewers with peanut sauce - pad see ew chicken - Thai country-style stir-fried broad rice noodles w.Chinese broccoli & eggs (choice of chicken or beef) - (chicken) gang panang - Thick panang curry with chicken or beef with basil, coriander, peppers & coconut milk - mango and sticky rice - Fresh mango w. sweet sticky rice topped w. coconut milk - thai tea (not pictured) We usually order for take out. And they come out fairly fast with the order. I recommend trying this place out if you're around.

Popped into this lovey, wood polished establishment for lunch and ordered up crispy juicy coconut shrimp app along with a bowl of lobster bisque soup to start. The soup was creamy and delicious with big lobster chunks, not having to hunt for it or just tasting seafood broth here ;) Both came out quick and were on point. Personally followed that up with a hot a buttery lobster roll. It was fresh and juicy even before adding a bit more butter. They serve it up on a proper roll that was slightly toasted but soft with each bite. My Mr had two of the juiciest lobster tails with cole slaw and a garden salad. Sadly couldn't stay to try out a dessert since we had the baby wanting their liquid lunch too, but know the wait staff was super sweet and quick getting all that was needed and asked for super timely. *Noted: Street and municipal parking lot available. I was tempted to send everything back But I did not want to embarrass my sister and brother This could be a really nice place If the kitchen got Better At the price points They have, I would not go here Again

We were excited to try Castaways, especially since the previous restaurant had been a longtime…read morefamily favorite. We were also encouraged to learn that the current owner operates Drift 82 in Patchogue--something we quickly recognized from the menu and viewed as a positive sign, as we've consistently enjoyed our meals there. Our first few visits to Castaways were very good and led us to return several times and recommend the restaurant to friends. However, during a visit last summer with a party of 10, I noticed a decline in food quality. At the time, I attributed it to an "off" day. Unfortunately, our most recent visit with a party of five confirmed those concerns, and we all agreed afterward that we would not be returning. I often order the TNT salad at both Drift 82 and Castaways, so I'm very familiar with the dish. This time, the portion at Castaways was noticeably smaller--about half the size of what I've received previously. The salad is typically well-balanced with tuna and fried calamari, but this version was overloaded with calamari (all rings, no legs - usually not the case when I've ordered it) and contained very little tuna. The small amount of tuna served was an unusually bright pink color, which suggests it had been treated to mask freshness and quality - Google that tidbit if you're unfamiliar and you'll be glad you did. Anyway, as a result, I did not eat the tuna and only consumed the calamari. The lobster bisque was too salty to eat and was ultimately removed from our check. While I understand that bisque may contain minimal lobster, this one included only a spongy piece from a small claw, and the overwhelming saltiness made it inedible regardless. Other dishes at the table were similarly disappointing. The crab spaghetti was heavy with oil and lacked flavor entirely. The sea bass also had no discernible flavor, although the menu states it is pan roasted with green curry. The fish and chips were the lone exception, the diner was happy with it - after he added much needed salt. We had hoped Castaways would continue the strong start we experienced early on, especially given our positive experiences at Drift 82. Unfortunately, the decline in consistency, portion size, and overall quality made this last visit a deciding one for our group. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that it's taken constructively, as the restaurant clearly has the potential to not rely solely on location, and to be much better than what we experienced.

But if that isn't available, you have to find a spot in the lot and then find the inconvenient sign with a QR code at a $1/hour. The bar was busy when we arrived. We were seated at a table near the windows and were able to see the amazing sunset, as well as the ferry, which both arrived and departed several times during our meal. Our server was Destiny, who was very nice and did her job well. We had ordered some cocktails which took a very long time because there was only 1 bartender attending to the crowd. As for appetizers, we chose the mozzarella steak, the garlic and herb mussels and the cauliflower bites. All were served beautifully and tasted good as well. We also asked for bread and a loaf was served warm with olive oil and a half WELL roasted garlic bulb (most likely used for decoration) but it should have been roasted a lot less for it to be used as a spread. Dinner was the steak frites, twin lobster tails and golden glaze salmon. The steak was served with a salsa verde, the lobster was accompanied by a small gravy boat of drawn butter, a half corn cob and 4 roasted baby potatoes. The salmon, was my dish and was crispy and tasty, served over broccolini stalks and purple forbidden rice. Dessert took a while to come out and we were worried that we wouldn't get back to our car for the expiration of our time. It worked out. 2 of us ordered chocolate cake and I had the cheesecake. The portions were huge! I think what took so long was that they had to open up a new cake because 1 slice was warm and fudgy, while the other was more solid and dense. Not a problem, still delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I saw it at another and had to ask our waiter for one. The chocolate cake was fine. I feel like this restaurant changes around a lot. Glad I got to eat here.

*January 2026 Restaurant Week*…read more My wife's bestie made plans for the (4) of us to meet for dinner. We all live close so Fifth Season Restaurant was chosen. I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.

The salads we felt were small for the price but were tasty. The main course was delicious and a nice portion. However the small portions continued when we moved over to dessert, which was very overpriced for what you got. The service was also kind of slow. I think they need more wait staff.
