Korean fried chicken bao bun
MeiMei F.

Came in for a date night while visiting my husband's family in Long Island and absolutely loved this place! Truly delicious and outstanding food. We started with the mezze platter with wonderfully crunchy crudites and the hummus was perfectly complimented by whipped goat cheese. Then I had the Korean fried chicken bao bun - really well done with both the crunchy chicken and the vegetables. My husband had the veal bolonaise pasta, which he said was excellent. The restaurant has two sides- one is the bar side with TVs playing sports and the other is the more formal dining room. So you can choose whichever ambiance you are in the mood for!

Overall very good place the menu had some great dishes listed. The wild boar meatloaf was delicious soon as I saw it had to try it. Duck was also very good. Service was good. Great vibe overall.

NOCO? More like YESCO! Everything about this place is fabulous! The ambiance, the food, the service. Everything was top notch from start to finish. Our waitress (I didn't get her name, but she was blonde) was AMAZING!!! I ordered the pretzel crusted chicken paillard and it was spectacular. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had a delicious salad on top with thinly sliced apples which was amazing with the chicken. For dessert I got the flourless nutella chocolate cake that came with delicious gelato. Highly recommend this dessert! Oh and they give you hot pretzel sticks before your food comes instead of a bread basket. I LOVED this! I already made a reservation to go back. This is a place you don't want to miss out on.

Great spot. Very accommodating on other's day. Parker was a great server. The food was good. The Maryland crabcake and corn appetizer was probably the best part of the meal. Farm to table vibe with a hint of upscale equals a good time.

Between the warm, cozy atmosphere and a live band playing, it felt festive without being chaotic. It's exactly what you want during the holidays. We went full "let's share everything" mode, starting with the Wood-Fired Artichoke-Spinach Dip Pizzetta, and wow. Spinach, artichokes, béchamel, shaved parm, mozzarella, garlic dressing, and baby arugula all working together in perfect harmony. Easy 10/10. I'm still thinking about it and already planning my next visit just to order it again. Next up was the crab rangoon dip, which was rich, indulgent, and dangerously good. Followed by the beer cheese jumbo pretzel. They wee soft, salty, and exactly what you want alongside drinks. Zero regrets. We wrapped things up with the Kung Pao Cauliflower Bites, and they were such a pleasant surprise. The tempura cauliflower stayed crispy, the General Tso's-style sauce had just the right balance of sweet and heat, and the cashews, sesame seeds, and scallions added great texture. Drink-wise, we shared a bottle of wine from their solid selection, but I also have to shout out their massive cocktail menu, so many options that I'll definitely be back to explore it properly next time. The cherry on top? We made our reservation on Yelp . Between the food, drinks, live music, and overall atmosphere, Husk and Vine was a total win for a night out. Can't wait to return!

We finally got here when I decided to surprise my husband for his birthday dinner. GREAT decision!…read more It was early on a Thursday, so when we arrived, the place was empty. We were still greeted with kindness and a generous pour of complimentary Prosecco to start the celebration! We both decided on the Five-Course tasting menu and added the wine pairing. For $84/pp including a wine pairing...wow. And the portions were NOT skimpy at all. Complimentary WARM rolls with butter were presented. The brown seeded roll was very nice. I didn't care for the white roll--it was flavorless and really didn't have any distinct texture. First course, we both had the potato leek soup. OMG, it was delicious. Not overly creamy or goopy, but very nuanced and delicate. The hit of fresh-grated nutmeg was such a spot-on addition. We were both oohing and ahhing. Paired with a full-bodied Pinot Noir, which was great! Second course; husband had the beet salad and they replaced the goat cheese for him since he's not a fan. Beets were tasty, almost pickled? A nice dressing. He said he encountered one or two nuts that weren't great...but otherwise, loved it. Paired with a Rose. I do not like Rose, but I did taste it, and it was pleasant enough. Our fabulous server overheard me...and switched up my pairing for my main course without even me having to ask! I had the Escargot. WOW! First off, not in shells, so no fumbling at the table. The garlic/butter sauce was obscene. I really didn't want to eat more bread with such a big meal, but had to do one dunk-YUM! It was served in a crisped wonton wrapper (didn't see layered enough to be a pastry dough), squared off to create a cup--cute. Mine was paired with a Sauvignon Blanc for me. I tend to be fussy about my blancs...I only like them from Marlborough and have often found California's to be too sour. I'm not sure where this was from, but it was lovely! Then we both had the crab cake. SO good--hubby's favorite course. Packed with crab, barely any breading, just enough to hold its shape. Served with a basil oil and a basil aioli with a perfect hit of acid, and I think a pickled cabbage salad? SO good!!! This wine pairing was the only "miss" in our opinion. It was served with a Riesling. I get that the sweetness was meant to cut through the richness of the aoli, but for us, a Riesling is a better dessert wine...but it was a nice Riesling despite it not really working as a pairing in our opinion. Mains: I had the tuna medium rare. Cooked to PERFECTION and crusted with a hint of horseradish that really woke up the taste buds. As mentioned prior, our wonderful server swapped out the intended Rose and substituted a lovely Cab. PERFECT! Husband had the filet Mignon. I'm not a meat eater, so I didn't taste it, but he said it was cooked perfectly to his request of medium rare. I can't remember what wine was paired...but I think it was another Pinot Noir? Dessert...I was too full...and had a surprise planned afterwards, so I just opted for a dish of ice cream to have a spoonful. It was a bit icy. Not as luscious as I would expect at a French restaurant. He got the bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream. Oh. Dear. Lord. Well, I intended only a taste. It was SOOOO warm and chocolaty and decadent. We practically licked the plate clean! The service was incredible. The ambiance was quaint, cozy, and lovely. We both HIGHLY recommend. This is definitely added to our "must take friends" list. Fabulous!

Dined here last week for a friends birthday and had a really nice dinner!…read more Very nice place with solid food quality. I was expecting a more of a French vibe and food but I would say it has more of an upscale America style feel. The menu had the usual suspects of French cuisine ie, escargot, boeuf Bourguignon, souffles etc. but the flavor is more "Americanized". For example the boeuf Bourguignon tasted like grandmas homemade beef stew which was delicious just not French flavoring. The chocolate souffles was good and came with a side of chocolate sauce but just a little too eggy (tasted like scrambled eggs). Service was excellent. Had reservations and was sat immediately. It was especially nice because we were the only ones in the entire restaurant so had the whole place to ourselves (Tuesday at 7pm). All in all a really decent restaurant serving French/American cuisine. Would highly recommend checking out. Bon Appetit!

What is truly unacceptable is the restaurants complete lack of concern afterwards. They told me they would not compensate for any of the medical bills that I have incurred. This raises serious concerns about their food safety standards, and how they treat customers when things go wrong. In this case their was clearly wrong doing on their part. The Cheesecake Factory is one of those places that is always pretty good, but not amazing. The food…read moreis usually decent, the service is friendly, and I've never had a bad experience. That said, for a chain restaurant, it does feel a little expensive. There are a lot of local restaurants near me where I can get fresher, better food for the same price. My family really likes this place, mostly because the menu is huge. There is something for everyone, which makes it an easy choice. For me, though, the menu is almost too big. It feels more like a diner menu, with so many options that it can be overwhelming and hard to choose. Each time I go, I usually try something different. The Chicken Madeira is a safe choice and is usually very good. The steak dishes, however, often disappoint me. I know this isn't a steakhouse, but the steaks don't feel very fresh and seem to be the same cut used in different dishes. Compared to local restaurants, the steaks just don't stand out. One thing they always do well is the service. The staff is friendly, patient, and very accommodating. The atmosphere is also nice and almost makes you feel like you're on vacation, even when the restaurant is close to home. Overall, I never leave feeling disappointed, but I also don't leave thinking it was great. It's a reliable place with consistent food and good service. If my family wants to go, I'm happy to join them because I know what to expect. It's decent, comfortable, and dependable but, not my first choice when there are better local options nearby.

We keep coming back hoping that the next time will be better than the last but it's gotten so bad…read morethat we didn't even take the leftovers home. The wait time (for everything except being seated, shocker) was again, ridiculous. There were empty tables on a Saturday night. The server was cocky and made my husband get up from the table to go to his computer TWO times because he was lazy. He tried to make my young daughter get something on her plate that we clearly stated she did not want. No drink refills. He did not wait on tables in order so the table next to us that came in after us got bread but we did not. We asked for lemon in our drinks, didn't get any. The utensils were filthy. The food took forever to come out and when it finally did it was cold and had so much salt on everything that it was inedible. Specifically the chicken in the "fried chicken bowl" and the fries. The meatloaf was burnt and then covered up with gravy so you couldn't see it, but could clearly taste it. The fried chicken bowl came with Frank's red hot sauce on the side instead of gravy like the menu stated and when brought to the servers attention, he came back with some cold, thin, liquidy au-jous instead of a gravy. (Good thing I noticed before pouring it on top, not that it would have made it worse). The whole bowl under the chicken was cold, including the "biscuit" that was hard enough to break a window. The smash burger was barely smashed and the meat was rare. Unheard of with a smash burger! The server didn't check on us at all DURING the meal. But was sure to hover over us for his tip. The table next to us also complained about their food. We ordered chocolate cake to go and the portion was TINY! It used to be worth the price you charge. The container was half empty. The fact that there were empty tables on a Saturday night should have been our cue to walk out. But this restaurant used to be tradition for our family. And it pains us to write these reviews. Yet here we are, hoping that something will change for the better. Prices go up. Quality and quantity go down. Soon, it will catch up to the business owners and we will read about bankruptcy in the news. I'm sad. The best part of our meal was the bread. Side note- FIFA soccer games AND the Knicks championship game were on and the bar was EMPTY.
